YHA Windermere

Loved that despite the bad weather, we loved the isolated feel of the land pod. It didn’t feel damp or cold, and we were close to the main facilities.

Nothing! We were really happy with the land pod and the beautiful view of the lake.

It was a short trip and the facilities provided were good. Staff was amazing specially Frankie at the reception. She was highly professional and very pleasant

山上的风景非常美，房间的窗户就是漂亮的景观，太超预期了！厨房很好，用品齐全。。

位置稍微有点远，前往一直是爬坡上山，带箱子会比较辛苦

The scenery was stunning. The facilities and the land pod was clean and well maintained. All the staff were friendly.

店员非常非常友好！非常非常亲切！房间内有卫生间可以淋浴，楼道内也有超多卫生间、淋浴间。每个床铺旁边都有小灯、插座，屋里有超大柜子可以放行李，但需要自备锁。厨房灶台不是特别多，高峰期需要排队使用。厨具比较充足，应有尽有~附近没有超市，去湖区景点玩完回来前记得买吃的！也可以青旅点餐了~有个超大的露台，风景无敌美，特别是晚上串灯亮起来的时候！退房后可以免费寄存行李~

小小的遗憾是青旅在山坡上，走上去相当于爬坡了，脚程慢的需要半小时。但是湖区uber打车巨便宜，建议返程打车，直接到青旅门口。

Very clean and well maintained, the self catering kitchen was lovely and there was a drying room too.

We stayed in a yurt and it was really good value and incredibly clean and comfortable. The views from the campsite over the lake are stunning. Firewood packs are included which was a nice bonus. The yurt even had electricity, very impressed with the shared kitchen facilities too.

The location overlooking Windermere but nestled in Troutbeck means it benefits from being quieter than the town, set into the hillside looking down on the lake. Particularly lovely to look down onto Windermere with the morning mist laying in the lake at breakfast time. This YHA has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay - a lounge with sofas to elevate tired legs and a seating area for breakfast and dinner, also acting as the bar for drinks and coffees.

We opted for a single room with a bunkbed which was small but was clean and absolutely comfortable. This is certainly not a gripe!

Особливо маленька дрібничка турботи - в номері була вазочка із берушами, запакованими в індивідуальну упаковку - це неймовірно зручно! особливо після досвіду в інших хостелах, де ніколи не знаєш, хто із сусідів може бути гучним в ночі)) І ще вразило багато цікавинок в лаунж зоні, але не буду спойлерити - дізнавайтесь відвідуючи цей хостел.

the toilets are far away. Toilets are common and less. It was cold at night and we couldnt use the heater on. We couldnt campfire. The wifi couldnt reach our location.

The location is close to the town. The kitchen facilities are good for those not interested in the hotel's food (breakfast did not look very encouraging).The views are magnificent around the hotel. Facilities were generally clean.

Wifi broke down a lot. at least my bed was just 1,8m long!!! 2 tiny windows could be opened from an giant window front, needless to say that this room heats up a lot as soon as the sun is out. The room contiued to heat up at night due to the lack of air circulation. 8 mans body heat vs. 2 tiny windows. the room across the window had 3 times as much windows, so you randomly melt or have a nice stay. You get one or more textbombs reminding you to do or bring litterly evrything wich is completly normal if you travel and wich is written on the hostel page anyway

Prefect location for walking in the Lake District

Great facilities and amenities along with the arrangements in the Bell Tent. Staff was so helpful and friendly. YHA Windermere is situated at a great location. Camping experience was great.

The toilets could be more frequently cleaned but this could be due to peak travel season and occupancy as well.

Great location, stunning views and beautiful grounds. Clean facilities - bathrooms, shared spaces and the communal kitchen were great. Friendly and super helpful staff, our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here and would happily stay again!

This hotel located on a beautiful and quietly place. 3-5 minutes drive to Brockhole park. Self-kitchen is good. The staffs are friendly and responding quickly.

The bedroom windows are small ,so the cool air can’t go through, that due to bedroom a bit swelter. poor signal barely internet connection ,only connecting WiFi on ground floor.

The staff were really friendly and the food was great. We ended up eating every night as it was great value and tasty. Great vegetarian options!

Trying to really think of something - I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but if it was possible to order food online to save waiting around that would be great but with the views and facilities it really wasn’t a problem

Great view and friendly staffs. A lil bit far from the bus station but it’s acceptable. It’s also pretty on the way to the hostel.

Dropped in really lucky with this stay. I only booked last minute and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From our first interaction with the staff it was brilliant. The toilet and shower facilities were extremely clean and so was the tipi. The tipi was very cosy and I had a good night sleep.

Člověk na posteli občas cítil mříže ze spodu. V pokoji pro 8 lidí byly pouze 4 skříňky.

Enjoyed my Tipi , staff were lovely

location is at the middle of a hill, it requires bit of walk, not suitable for someone who take heavy luggage, but if you drive , it's ok. people are nice, friendly, all backpackers would have a chat with each other, friendly environment. kitchen is very helpful for us, who love to cook our own. big area to dine with something we cook, this is absolutely a plus. nice view as well.

room is with 8 bunk bed , no A/C (as expected), limited window opening, so you can imagine 8 men sleeping there with someone snoring, someone wake up for toilet, overall it's not enjoyable but acceptable. toilet and bath room are all shared, it's not very clean after someone has taken shower. all depends on their personal hygiene.

The location was great and so were the staff.

The car park was an asbsolute joke. People parked however they wanted which meant taking up 2 or 3 spaces. I had to park it in a disabled spot because I was waiting for half an hour. Also, the logs that are for the bell tent were not nearly enough to keep it heated for the night. It kept it warm for 3 hours max. We had 5 logs. So had to go into town to buy multiple packs for the fire burner.

We stayed in one of the tipis in the camping area. It looked really cool and the beds were comfortable and stayed warm at night. The view was fantastic! Staff were super helpful.

Not much really! Some other campers were noisy after cut off time which can’t be helped. We were tired so fell asleep anyway! Car park can get very busy.

The reception was nice

Stuart who checked us in and who was there every evening was lovely and incredibly kind. The view from the room was of the lake and lovely. The self service kitchen was clean and well stocked.

There was work going on outside that meant the outside space wasn’t as relaxing as it might have been. We had been warned about it though.
