No table lights! Lighting in room is VERY bright as its ceiling light or over bed light. Lock on motel room door is push button so didn’t feel secure.

OPened the door to a fantastic view of the Ocean! Perfect location close to Peggys Cove. Lots of space to spread out. Great couple that greeted us in office. Will stay again for sure.

The motel is sitting right on the coastal rocks with a great view of the water. Our room was clean and very comfortable. This isn’t a fancy resort style accommodation. It is a charming well kept older motel with a beautiful location.

We, a somewhat older couple from The Netherlands, stayed for one night at the Clifty Cove Motel in early September 2026. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Our apartment, number 8, was well-maintained; everything was exceptionally clean, tidy, and fully equipped. We feel this accommodation would also be very suitable for a longer stay. There is plenty to see and do, and there are numerous dining options across various price ranges.

A (small) point for improvement: lighting above the spot where the coffee maker, microwave, etc are located.

The view from the room was exceptional. Staff were great, even returned my lost phone to me

Poor lighting, had to use phone torch to read coffee machine instructions. On arrival, no friendly greeting - first thing said was the amount I owed. Once paid, again no words .. I asked if we needed a key and was told the room was open and key inside. End of transaction and no further convo held. WiFi dropped a few times, easy to login again

J’ai réservé mois de mars pour un voyage en août, je n’ai pas été capable d’avoir la chambre avec balcon pour m’assoir à l’extérieur malgré que j’avais réservé beaucoup d’avance.

Everything was perfect. Location, room set up, cleanliness, away from crowds and at the same time drivable distance from places of interest. The breathing with the ocean is priceless. The owner is lovely, helpful, and genuinely nice. Would love to return again.

The Golden Girls spent the night here 7/9! The owners are amazing with a great sense of humor. Very pleasant. The rooms are very quaint and well appointed. It's an old fashioned motel so if you are looking for a Hilton, go there! This place was great and the views cannot be matched. Such warm and exceptional hospitality! Thanks so much. We know we will be back one day!

The motel is right on a cove the views are fantastic it’s quiet and if you get a room with a balcony. Which we did you can just sit and watch the sunset if you don’t have a balcony there’s chairs and a picnic table to view. Easy to find. All on one level we just pulled up to our room and unpacked.

Not really anything maybe a small light over the bar in our room. But no biggie

Although a lovely property that exceeded my expectations with regard to how modern, clean and beautiful view, it was one of the most expensive stays along the way, given there was not any additional amenities like inclusive breakfast.

The view was unbeatable, we spent a lot of time just admiring it on the common patio that was provided. The room was clean, and cleverly constructed so be easy to clean entirely. The staff was very friendly and helpful in general. The location was great, although, because we were on foot, it was still a 45 min walk to any interesting touristic spot.

Beware of the tap water. It's drinkable, but has a strong taste of iron. Aside from that, everything was amazing. Best vacations ever for anybody that wants a quiet retreat.

Clifty cove is a hidden gem perched right on the water giving breathtaking views of the ocean. The staff is impeccable.... the rooms spotless. Loved waking up to waves crashing on the beach. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend!! Thank you Ms Renee!!

A fine family hotel very near the Peggy's Cove site. That allowed us to visit the site very early in the day, and go again later, when the cruise tourism is over.

The closest motel to Peggy’s Cove. It is located on the water with a patio area near the water. The rooms overlook the water. Some have outside decks directly off the room. No restaurants nearby or not in early September. Reduced hours due to off season. We ordered pizza from a flyer that was in the room. Great pizza!!!

The owner/staff was very friendly and helpful. The suite was spotless and very clean. The view was fantastic and made us wish we spent more time there. Would definitely stay there again is we came back to Peggy's Cove. Recommend this to anyone going to the Cove.

Checking in was both smooth & pleasant. Room was clean & comfortable. Room & washroom amenities were more than adequate. Location is fantastic. Just minutes away from Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. A few good restaurants within 10 minutes drive away. Highly recommended!

Location and view say it all for this motel. You can watch gorgeous sunsets right from your room or from the chairs located in the back by the water. Room was clean, spacious, and relaxing. Great towels. And just down the road from Peggy’s Cove. It was perfect!

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms, with a queen bed. The rooms are furnished with furniture that is quite old and mismatched, but if you can get past this, it is a great place. It was super clean, and the bathroom feels a bit more modern than the rest of the room. The bed was super comfy with a thick, modern duvet/doona- much better than the other budget hotels we have been staying in. The view is lovely, even from the motel rooms.

Room was lovely, bed linen smelt amazing like it was line dried. Everything exceptionally clean. Beautiful area to sit and watch the water, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset while there. Highly recommend.

The room was pricey for the accomodations and bed not very comfy. Should have come with a continental breakfast at least. This is a very touristy area. Booked 2 nights, probably should have only been 1 night.
