Suanbo Saipan Hot Spring Hotel

We loved our stay here. It has a slightly dated feel which was also charming, but that was more than made up for by the friendliness and kindness of everybody there (including the other guests too). Using the discount tickets for the hot baths opposite was amazing, as was being able to wash our clothes. Many thanks!

The owner was lovely. Very accommodating when I arrived early and very helpful throughout. Kitchen area with free drinks and toast and eggs in the morning. Friendly cats too. Lots of bike maintenance stuff if needed and free washing. Spa across the road and lots of nearby restaurants.

Nothing. I felt very comfortable there. Some aspected were a bit dated, but I think that added to the charm.

Friendly and helpful host, very close to spa across the street, good bicycle storage, breakfast included, location in Suanbo, access to washer and dryer.

Pillows were too big and firm for our preferences, a small thing.

Very friendly manager, quiet room, great location, secure bicycle storage, free washer and dryer costs less than $1 US. Facilities are older but it's perfect if you're cycling and a very good value.

Nothing, it was good.

Location, right next to the historical hot spring, easy to get to from cycling route. Bicycle locking area (max 4bikes). Very friendly warm family running the hotel. Washer free, dryer only kw1000. Warm floors helps! Discount for the hot spring.

Old, there was jam on the blanket. Apparently most hotels in that area are dated.

Simple motel in a good location. They gave me a discount coupon for the oncheon across the street.

The TV didn't work.

Very friendly front office staff. Most of them don't speak English and I didn't meet any who spoke it well, but they were very happy to do their best to explain things to me, and two of them even spent ten minutes trying to figure out the local bus schedules to Woraksan for me. Breakfast was very basic, but included (toast, eggs, cereal).

I couldn't get hot water. Signs said I might have to wait 5-10 minutes, but I waited 15 and only got lukewarm water. The bathroom is quite old as well, stained tub, etc.

Its a charming little town. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful (he gave a discount card to the bath house). The hot water spring is close by, to dip your feet in. It was wonderful. The minerals in the water were beneficial, you could see the difference right away. The room rate matches the accommodations.

Old hotel with charm run by a lovely gentleman. Comfy bed and spacious room. Good simple brekfast included in price. Couldn't get into the public hot spring bath located directly across the road from the hotel because I did not have cash on me but had the next best thing, a bath in a big tub in my own room with water pumped from the hot spring.

There was coffe and tea for free in the breakfast lounge. Basic breakfast, but the herbtea is really great. Thle place is really quiet and close to everything.

Great small hotel ‘traditional’, slightly rough around the edges, but good bed and very clean sheets etc. Friendly Manager/Owner and allowed us to store bikes in room. Ideally situated for hot spring across the street.

Nice hotel very well located in the town centre next to a Hotspring baths that the owner gave me a discount card to enter. Its in the town near to Restaurants and shops. The owner of the Hotel allowed me to take my bicycle to my room, he also has storage outside should you wish to leave it there. The hotel was clean warm and comfortable and offers coffee and a simple breakfast of Toast, cereal and eggs.

Convenient location Owner was very friendly and attentive Good price

A little old/ rundown

This is an older hotel but the price is very good campared with others in the area. For me it was a good location as I was cycling towards Seoul. Woul also be good if your visiting the nearby mountains. It is basicand cheap. Just a bit older facility.

The shared kitchen area and general common areas needed to be cleaned up a bit

Owner was friendly and accomodating In the center of Suanbo 12pm checkout Breakfast every morning

the Bed was cozy and nothing smelled bad like some of the reviews said. good place if you are staying for hiking Woraksan. the Shower had really nice Water pressure.

Needs to be updated. Before check in i had to look for the owner because no one was there. Breakfast was okay, but no table to sit at. You could here everything that happend on the floor.

it had a Bath Great after cycling 70km air-con fridge and a memoryfoam mattress. no question about bringing my Bicycle in to the room and Bicycle repair shop on site. Free Breakfast😃

it was raining?

Friendly staff who were super attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel is easily accessible by bicycle, hence location was good/great enough.

The bathroom ceiling was dripping water; I know I could have changed rooms but was too tired to do so after unpacking everything. I am sure it did not just happen before I checked in. The hot water was insufficient and didn't stay hot long; and the irony being that Suanbo is a hot spring town?

Exceptional hospitality. Very helpful in explaining the local area. Happy to return.

Very friendly staff, breakfast in the morning, close to hot springs and cityand bus stop

A bit of noisy clients, but well- not the fault of the property

Budget-friendly accommodation in Saipan. Stayed here for a night while biking the cross-country route to Busan. There is free coffee, cereal, toast and hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. Hot spring water supposedly comes out of the bathroom tap but it's across the street from a nice public bath which I used instead.

Building looks old and rundown.

Cheap

It‘s old and very basic. Bathrooms are long time not renovated and you have doubts to enter the bath-tub, stairway and breakfast area is worn-out.

Cozy room with an extra mini entrance hall. Building is older, but room was well kept with floor heating and nice hot water. Staff was super nice and friendly.

The gentleman who was downstairs when we checked it was very nice. The place was clean. The breakfast in the morning (toast, jelly, boiled eggs, mandarins) was very nice. The room was comfortably warm. We were there to hike Woraksan and this was a good location for it, it wasn't far to the park so we were able to take a taxi.

The futons were very thin. I mean very thin.

They provide place to store bikes.

Great for cyclists…storage lockers for bikes

Big simple room, very quiet and perfect for a stay on our way Seoul to Busan by bike

Comfortable stay, free breakfast included & laundry facilities were a bonus. Welcoming host and very helpful.

Staff, parking and location good.

It's too old. Needs a rebuild.

This is just the cutest place! We were met with a warm welcome. The room was clean and cozy and the common area was designed with love. Free coffee and very cheap instant meals. It is a great place for cyclists, since they own a lot of tools which you can use for free. You even get a discount for the bathhouse next door. One evening we had a drink with the owner and his family, they were so hospitable. Many restaurants and shops in walking distance.

I felt most welcomed there! The Hotspring is right next to it you get a decent discount for staying there as well. Everyone was super helpful. I just really enjoyed my time. :)

Very nice and friendly people. The water in the hotel comes from the hot spring, so you can enjoy a reviving bath in your own room. No need to go to the public spa. The bed was very comfortable. Beautiful mountainous area. Good for people who come on bikes 🚲 They have a free repair area for your bike, for when, for example you have a flat tyre. Also many options for storing your bike.

The hotel is old and I think they didn't do any maintenance for a long time, but this also can be very charming 😉

For the price this was a great place to stay for a night on our cross country bike trip. Private lockers for our bikes! Everyone with whom we interacted at the hotel was kind and friendly. They were also very accommodating to my request to push the reservation back one day. The rooms are basic but comfortable. And the location is great, right in the middle of town with tons of restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

the location , it is easy to find and have good parking. pet friendly hotel and good for a one night stay. Gs 25 and CU convenience store is close by.

shower, little outdated, but it is an old building.

Once again Korea blows me away, thank you to the hotel and all the staff. You are amazing. Thank you.

Koreans are the best people - thank you

Close to the national parks, convenient location for food and travel

A basic motel in a cute resort town. We stayed as we biked from Seoul to Busan and I would recommend it for the price. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is an option to do laundry for free and even basic (toast/eggs/coffee/tea) breakfast in the morning. The hotel's hot water is from the hot springs but I recommend a public bath literally next door - from t desk gives a coupon for admission (4000 won vs 7000won without it).

The rooms are a bit dated and the bed is a bit too hard for my taste.

I knew it was compact room when I made a reservition. However, offering breakfast was a wrong ad. Either they have to improve quality or remove ad.

Nice common room. Illuminated streets at nighttime. Close locales to convenience stores. Owner had a fairly good fix it yourself section for bicycles and a sturdy folding repair stand. Good breakfast with oat/nut cereal. Brand New certification stamp booth on entry into town

That i missed the stamp because I couldn't find the page - resolved! The steep bicycle climb afterwards ;)

Perfect for touring cyclists. The hotel provides free laundry service and a 24 hour coffee machine. Outside they have lockers for the bicycles, and also have a basic self service workshop for repairs.

Very accommodating for touring cyclists. There are lockers for storing your bike, and basic tools available for repairs. Rate includes a simple breakfast with coffee. Coffee also available 24hr. Washing machine in case you need to do laundry.

Friendly staff, good location and a very welcoming and comfortable place, like staying with a good friend! Loved the bicycle lockers too!
