El lugar es un encanto! Su salida directa al agua la hace perfecta junto con su precio calidad y el personal! La cocina es el área común y se encontraba impecable en todo momento.

Todo me gustó! Solo esta un poco alejado del centro pero no es drama ya que en Aruba es necesario alquilar un auto si o sí!

No me gusto nada. Realmente no entiendo como booking en quien siempre confio para reservar puede calificar mas de 9 este lugar. Excesivamente apartado de todo. Playa inexistente para disfrutar mar y piedras y poca orilla muy hondo. Instalaciones pesimas muy rudimentario y lo poco como puede ser TV imposible de hacerlo funcionar. Estuve los tres días porque no encontramos otra disponibilidad para esos dias y huimos.Muy mala experiencia

The location was fantastic. Right on the water, with easy swim and kayak access. Close to two great restaurants. The small kitchen made for a perfect spot to store snacks and light bites as well as preparing drinks for the veranda.

This place is a bit more remote on the island, but that ends up being part of the appeal. It feels genuinely local, and you’re removed from the more crowded areas. The couple (Jenny and Erik) who run the property are truly incredible. They put so much care into creating a space that feels welcoming and easy to settle into. I ended up meeting some wonderful people there, which I think says a lot about the kind of environment they’ve built. Being right on the waterfront is a huge plus in Aruba — it’s hard to overstate how nice that is. There’s also a restaurant right next door that always seemed lively and well enjoyed.

One small note: Despite the tireless hard-work of Graciela, the property’s wonderful and dedicated caretaker, I did notice a few cockroaches in the room during my stay. I didn’t mention it at the time, so I didn’t give them a chance to address it. Other than that, it was a really memorable experience. If you’re looking for something relaxed, social, and a little more local — and you’re not overly fussy about small things — this is a great spot.

The place exceeded our expectations. It's very calm and peaceful here, beautiful surroundings, you can use kayaks and other gear, plenty of sunbeds and places to chill and enjoy.

Creo que se deberia hacer un mantenimiento o cambio a las griferias por unas de palanca que garanticen un cierre hermético y mejor manejo, lo mismo para las pomas de las puertas. tambien actualizar algunos utencilios de cocina que ya están muy desgastados como destapadores y cucharones. Hay un detalle en el apartamento asignado con respecto a una ventana existente entre el baño y una de las habitaciones, tuve que conseguir un cartón para sellarla pues a través, de ella pasan los ruidos olores y la luz a la habitación lo que interrumpe el descanso. seria muy bueno que la sellaran.

El ambiente, el diseño del edificio en madera, muy cálido y simple, la vista al mar desde nuestra habitación incluyendo el balcón donde desayunábamos viendo el mar, el acceso directo al mar con kayacs disponibles para remar en forma segura cruzando a la glass island y recorriendo la costa de Savaneta. En fin, mucha tranquilidad, un ambiente caribeño nada artificial, y adicionalmente un excelente restaurante al lado, aunque también la posibilidad de cocinarse uno mismo. Pasamos excelentes días allí y lo recomendamos fuertemente.

Es dificil escribir alguna crítica, pues el lugar nos encanto, tal vez la playa es muy pequeña, (mínima) pero para mi eso es parte del encanto.

No tiene sala de recepción la señora administradora solo se vio cuando llegamos le pregunté por información y todo se lo dejo a la señora Graciela que fue demasiado atenta ,la señora administradora pidiendo que no podíamos sentarnos fuera de nuestro apartamento porque esa parte le correspondía es decir NO tienen administración falta organización mucho desorden en la primera impresión al llegar se ve muy feo,que pesar por lo demás todo bien

This place is a gem. We loved being right by the water, we could see the ocean from bed, so I have to say more? Such a cozy and cute place, you have everything you need to enjoy the water and the beach. There is a shared kitchen if you need it, kind of hostel ambiance. I was a bit worried about the restaurant so close to the hotel/beach but honestly didn’t bother us at all. They kept the noise to a minimum and by 10:30pm was pretty much empty. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Lo mejor es tener acceso al mar. Hermoso lugar para desayunar y ver los atardeceres. Tiene un restorán al lado que es excelente y por estar alojado allí tuvimos un 10% de descuento. Te ofrecen muchos accesorios. Por ejemplo cañas de pescar, kayaks, reposeras, etc.

Está en la zona sur de la isla. Muy lejos de todo. Es para instalarse en el lugar y no moverse mucho

Die Lage des Coral Reef Beach ist ausgezeichnet für jeden, der es mag etwas abseits des Touristentrubels seinen Urlaub zu genießen. Fußläufig befinden sich 2 gute Fischrestaurants, der Ausblick und der kleine Strand direkt na der Anlage ist Erholung pur. Die zimmergröße ist ausreichend. Von der Ausstattung steht alles zur Verfügung was man benötigt. Inklusive ein kajak, mit dem man direkt gegenüber zu seaglass island fahren kann. Andere Touristen kommen hier mit gebuchten Touren her. Die Gastgeber sind super. Wenn wir wieder nach Aruba kommen, dann sicher wieder in diese Unterkunft.

Die kleine Anlage war echt nett und sehr ordentlich gepflegt. Auch hier war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit nett. Für ein paar Tage echt empfehlenswert. Ein Auto sollte man haben. Das Restaurant nebenan ist hervorragend und vom selben Inhaber. Hier kann man etwas schnorcheln aber bei weitem nicht wie an anderen Stellen. Ich würde wieder dort buchen.

Es war weit und breit keine Ausgehmöglichkeit .nirgendwo gab es breakfast. Man muss am besten alle selber zum frühstücken kaufen. Auf Aruba ist aber auch alles mega teuer. 2 Liter Milch 5,50 Dollar, eine Tüte Chips 7 Dollar etc.

My room view was the small beach, which was fine. I didn’t want to walk to far - the restaurant next gave folks that stayed at Coral Beach 10% off meals

This is being one of the best places that I have stayed at. The woman in charge, Graciela, was wonderful and accommodating. I loved the private beach, everything that was included in the apartment was clean, and I felt safe the entire time.

Staff were excellent. Attached restaurant was great, though pricey. Waterfront access was extremely enjoyable. The rooms and appliances could use some renovations. Overall great experience.

Excellent location and staff with private dock and grotto. Best snorkeling in Aruba is right there with a barrier reef about 100 a-yards out. Loved it.

Our 3 night stay at the Coral Reef was superb, very relaxing areas throughout surrounding grounds, great access to have a swim or use the free kayaks available for journey across to glass island, restaurants very close by with a brilliant variety of exquisite tasting foods, we stayed in the room above restaurant which had a outstanding view, parking was good, staff where excellent, area kept very clean, we will return if in Aruba again.

This was our second stay at Coral Reef, and we really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. We can get in the car and go up to the high rise area and hang out and than come back n chill. The staff are always there to help, but I love how they just let you do your vacation.

The location is ideal if you want to explore all of Aruba and get a real sense of the island beyond the tourist hotel strip on the northern beaches. San Nicolas and Baby Beach are super close, maybe 15 minutes drive, and Oranjestad wasn't too far either. It was great having a little beach and dock and being able to use the hotel kayaks and life jackets to check out Seaglass Island. It was also great being a 5 minute walk from Zeerover, the best deal for dinner that we found on the island. We didn't eat at Flying Fishbone, which shares a fence with Coral Reef Beach, because we didn't feel like we needed to splurge that much for good food, but it's very popular and everyone eating there seemed very happy. We did use the Flying Fishbone parking lot one evening when the small hotel parking lot was full. Apartment #2 has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, a dining room, a small, fully equipped kitchenette (I think the only thing making it a kitchenette vs a kitchen is that it has a two burner cooktop vs a stove. The kitchen has a door directly to/from the parking lot, which made it super easy to bring in bags and groceries. The bedroom also has a door to the courtyard and beach access, which made it even faster to get to the water. By the end of our 9 nights my husband and I were finding our bed a bit hard, but that was our only real complaint. It's not fancy or super modern, and you need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but the apartment had everything we needed for our time in Aruba including beach towels. We brought our own snorkeling gear but we could probably have just used the gear available in the courtyard. You also don't need to bring a cooler for beach trips as there are several available to borrow in the shared kitchen off the courtyard. Graciela was very welcoming and does a wonderful job cleaning -- the apartment was spotless. The people staying here all seemed very chill and kind, no noisy partiers.

I truly enjoyed this quaint property. It was relaxing and accommodating. I didn’t mind the restaurant below. Direct access and view to the ocean and sky sight lines were special and memorable. We left out daily and always returned to a clean room and fresh linens. Gabriela is kind, helpful and available.

Loved how the sand was right outside the door. Very peachy vibe.

I loved my stay at Coral Reef! The location was nice, situated outside of the main tourist area but still a short drive away from Orangestaad and Noord. The staff was exceptional both at the property and the Restaurant which was literally right next door. If you are looking for a quiet stay with great food next door, then I highly recommend Coral Reef!

Very rustic. No hot wster. Very responsive staff. Self service breakfast. Clean rooms and kitchen. Guest leftovers ( chairs, backgammon sets, kayaks )can be broken, dirty. The setting is nice and quiet. Very small grounds. If other guests have habits you may not like its hard to get away onnthe property. Restaurant attached is noisy, ovrrpriced and overrated. Walk to zeeovers!

Nice place

When many think of Aruba they imagine casinos, all inclusive resorts and cruise ships. There is a lot more to the island. Ocean Reef Beach Apartments was the perfect fit on our trip. The owner and management is fantastic, the location was just what we wanted. We were there on Super Bowl Sunday and the owner brought out a big screen TV and we all watched the game with our feet in the sand! It’s right next to Flying Fish, one of the best restaurants on the island and owned by the same person. We swam right off the dock area and kayaked nearly every day. Highly recommended

I really liked that it was far away from the high rise hotels. It was quiet and peaceful. Jenny was so nice and helpful. All around staff was so sweet. No hot water wasn’t bad! It’s so hot outside I was grateful for a cooler shower. The water isn’t freezing it’s lukewarm. Shared common space was nice. Swimming was good. Additional supplies for kayaking and snorkeling was also really nice to have

Great place to stay. Right on the side of the famous restaurant “Flying fish bone”. Can swim, kayak right off the property. It offers on site grill, three kayaks, beach chairs and snorkeling devices for guests to use. It is 5 minutes drive away from Mangel halt beach and only 20 minutes drive away from the best snorkeling place baby beach on the very east south corner

We had a great stay at this place. Stafss are friendly and nice. Erick handled my reservation change request professionally and was very polite. Victor was informative and was there to help any time, and Garcelia provided great housekeeping when requested. There are two great restaurants nearby. Flying Fishbone is just next to this property and Zeroover is 3 min walk. Two of the best restaurants in Aruba. I highly recommend this place for booking.

Very nice place to stay. Rustic rooms but on the beach and very quiet

Property was marketed as a non smoking property. It is not. Many people were smoking and with the poor quality of the doors and windows the smoke came in my room. The WiFi was poor at best. There was no hot water for showering. No beach, only a pier. Television did not work.

I love how the property had its own little beach access just a few feet away, they also have kayaks and other beach stuff to use. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, they keep the property very clean.

We liked the sunset views and how peaceful it was after the restaurant closed. We booked through Expedia and we believed that we booked a 2nd floor room with a sea view from inside of our room, but we were told that was not what we reserved. Expedia's website also did not mention that this location did not have hot water. The temperature of the water was acceptable, but it would have been nice to know that before booking the room. This was a nice location with friendly people. We enjoyed our stay.

Owner of property also owned nice restaurant next to it. Nice and secluded, well kept, enjoyed the privateness of the place. Peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s has water/beach access which makes you feel like it’s your beach. The patio area is cozy and relaxing.

Great value, peaceful and lovely staff. We enjoyed swimming off the dock in the evening and enjoying a meal on the dock while watching the sunset. A true gem of a place.

This is our 2nd stay at Coral Reef and it won’t be our last! We love the peace and quiet of the area. Eric, Jenny and Graciela truly treated us as family! Hope to see you again soon!

Small but has all the necessities for a pleasant stay

This place is amazing. The staff immediately greeted us and showed us the room and what they had to offer. The outside area is so cute and perfect to spend time. There is also a small private beach with water access, absolutely loved it. They had hammocks, snorkel stuff, etc. Room was clean and had house keeping daily. They also gave us a restaurant at flying fish bone next door. We would absolutely stay here again.

Ugh. I absolutely hate writing bad reviews especially when people are so friendly however, I feel like people should be aware. The manager was so sweet and kind and helpful so if there’s any upside to this, let it be that, When we booked this, we knew we wouldn’t be at a 5 star all-inclusive resort. Based on the photos, we knew it would be a bit older and out dated, but we were very shocked upon arrival. You have to carry your luggage through sand just to get to the extremely steep/wide steps and that were not easy to get up. Once getting in the room, you realize it is a shared balcony with other guests… which is fine. Walking inside, there were two huge doors directly in front of a queen sized bed… Sittin in a 10x10 room. We had no where to put 1 let alone two suit cases… Following, there were huge cracks in the floor, insect repellent (for the room) on the shelf, the floors were soaking wet and the A/C was not working. Not to mention, the lighting in there showed ever speck of dust and dirt all over the place. WiFi did not work, and coffee machine was dirty. I feel horrible writing this, but we ended up having to book and spend an additional $1000 for our trip because we simply could not stay there. Again, we knew we were getting old, but we didn’t know we were getting what we got.

Absolutely perfect just like Aruba

It felt like 'home.' The vibe of the entire place is calm, quiet, peaceful & literal feet from the water. Erik & Jenny have created a place to relax and enjoy the Caribbean. Gabriela keeps the place very clean and you can tell it is her pride & joy to have a nice place for everyone. I loved the 'Community Kitchen' where people left extra food they bought but didn't use, or to cook in. The 'Community' bug sprays, lotions, shampoos, etc. And the random hammocks hanging for leisure were wonderful!

This was an excellent property. We were a walk from Zeerovers which is a must eat restaurant on the island. Next door to an upscale restaurant. Private beach and kayaks available. The only downside is the property is very outdated. The stove and fridge were rusty. A little updating and this could be a four to five star stay!

- Staff is very friendly. - Spacious family apartment. - Daily housekeeping (on the other hand this is absolute necessary for the apartment). - The little entry to the water is nice. - Great restaurants nearby (Flying Fishbone, Zeerover, Kamini, Collrado Shack, etc.). - Lukewarm water is not as bad as thought.

- Family room with sea view has no real sea view. - AC was either too cold or too warm because the door gaps are too big to ensure a proper climate control. - Apartment stuff needs to be renewed. Especially bathroom and couch. - Cockroaches (not the first guests mentioning this in the review). - Private entry to the water is nice but often occupied by other guests (e.g. towel over deckchairs for over 3 days without anyone actually lying on it). Also, you would be sitting on the deck directly next to restaurant guests. - For the price paid we feel that it was high compared to what we got. We stayed 1 week and after that had a second week in an apartment in the north of Aruba for a similar price with way more benefits and much nicer.

This is a great place to stay if you set your expectations right. You will need a car to get to the downtown cafes and entertainment and popular beaches. You will be a few steps away from your personal beach, you will step onto the sand right out the door, you will have free kayaks and hammocks and chairs at your disposal any time you want. We stayed in the family suite, room 9, two adults and two kids, and there is much more room in there than in a double bed room that we usually book at hotels. A hotel would probably get you a more modern interior but you will also get more noise and crowds. Here you are likely to feel like you are at your own vacation home. Eric the host and all the maids are great and responsive and make the stay as comfortable as you can get it.
