Harty Costello Townhouse

Good location within the town. Good bed. I was a little worried about the dust in bathroom fan and dirt on bath sealant. Very good breakfast. Freshly cooked.

Great little hotel with excellent breakfast and superb friendly service. Accommodations are a little dated but clean and comfortable.

My husband and I loved this hotel. It has an old-fashioned vibe and is a small family run business. Everybody was very friendly and helpful.

Very welcoming. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location - centre of High Street, with fab pubs and venues and 5 mins walk to stunning beach. Definitely return.

As good or better than most hotels

Very friendly owner and good breakfast Thanks

Great hotel in a fun little town along the Wild Atlantic Way ( WAW). Jackie (spelling) the owner was excellent, very friendly gentleman. The entire hotel staff was very warm and welcoming.

Very nice stay, Jackie was a brilliant host, highly recommend

It was a pleasure getting to know Jackie. He was very accommodating, friendly and made excellent recommendations for dining and interesting facts about the area. We appreciated the stories he shared.

Comfortable and quiet room. Hosts very helpful. Good choice of breakfast.

Lovely people. Excellent breakfast but limited facilities and service. No bar or restaurant but they’ll point you in the right direction for good food and drink in the village.

Accommodations were old school, but lovely it was clean and well kept. Jack and Jackie were great. Can’t wait to return.

John and Jackie are very gracious hosts. We had several morning tee times and they arranged early breakfasts for us ... 0630! Hotel is conveniently located in town with several walkable dining options. John recommended some tourist sites for us to explore the West Coast of Ireland. They both provided great stories about the history of Ballybunion and the origins of the golf course. We appreciated their hospitality.

The best hotel we stayed in on our trip! Clean and modern inside, very quiet and convenient parking. Lovely owners. Highly recommend.

Comfortable hotel with spacious room and ensuite. Toilrtitires and tea making facilities provided. Great location - walking distance to various pubs, eateries and most importantly the beautiful beaches.

Great little classic hotel with wonderful service. Highly recommend.

Beautiful guest house with restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. The owner Jackie is an absolute superstar and couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be back

It's a great location if you're visiting the Ballybunion area. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful with the location amenities. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay!

High marks for this lovely place. Wonderful people and very nice accommodations. I’m so happy we stayed here.

The Staff was excellent. Above and beyond! So Genuine and helpful,

Nice little place right on the main street. Easy walk to the beach, plenty of pubs and restaurants right next to and across from the hotel. We had a room in the far back, so it was quiet. The owner was very friendly, and the breakfast was super generous.

Lovely townhouse - spacious, quiet location, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed.

We loved Jack the caretaker. He was entertaining and very sincere.

Very convenient location in Ballybunion. Jackie and his staff were incredible and went out of their way to make our stay the best. We had early tee times and they accommodated our breakfast times to insure we had the best Irish Breakfast to start the day with!

Absolutely appalling service which is in dispute. I am trying to get a refund from the owner as we cancelled verbally by phone on Thursday 16th at 4.10pm but was told abruptly to do it online which I did and kept getting redirected back to establishment directly. Now have a service report in progress as €150 being taken by them. Owner hung up phone on me this morning Wednesday 22nd and spoke so derogatory this morning. So upsetting and vile man who treats people with ignorance and ill manners.

Jackie at Harty Costello always makes you feel welcome. However this year they haven't been able to re-open their bar and restaurant due to a lack of outside space and Covid regulations so guests have to eat out in the evening (plenty of choice in the town), but the Harty Costello breakfast is as good as ever!

Accommodation was excellent and the staff were brilliant. Thank you Jackie and all the staff you made our stay memorable. Great breakfast and service.

The welcome we got was excellent and the great friendly service continued throughout our stay, the breakfast each morning was very tasty and the rooms however basic were very comfortable we would certainly return

Jackie could not have been more welcoming and helpful! Great breakfast.

Great location, very nice accommodation and the owners were extremely nice and very helpful.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, we had a good size room with comfortable beds. Jackie is a fantastic host, he made us very welcome and gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to do. The breakfasts are very good, with lots to choose from. Highly recommend a stay here not only for all the above but also for the great location.

This is in the middle of town a few steps from the beach. The place is old and quaint, but perfectly clean and spacious and comfortable. Real ballybunion if you ever want to experience it. The rooms have one big bed and one small one and a sitting area. Enough power outlets for all your chargers. And although it’s above all the pubs, it’s somehow eerily quiet. Highly recommended. We loved it.

Located right in the heart of Ballybunion within walking distance to the beach, cliff walks and numerous restaurants and pubs. Jackie the proprietor made sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. We had an amazing time.

Happy with our stay. Staff very pleasant and helpful

Such a lovely stay. Jackie is such a lovely gentleman. I'm booked to go back for non work purposes. It's central , spotlessly clean, spacious, breakfast was gorgeous staff were so genuine and friendly. Jackie goes over and above. A superb stay!!!

Good location Good breakfast Very welcoming owner Big room

I really enjoyed staying in Harty's. The accommodation was so comfortable, location is perfect and food at breakfast, plenty, fresh and tasty. The staff are just wonderful, Jackie cannot do enough for you. A warm welcome when I arrived. Would definitely return and highly recommend it!

Property lovely. Lovely big room. Jackie is a gent.

Great place for a 1 night stay to play Ballybunion. We arrived late after 10pm and Jackie was very accommodating and courteous. He was helpful in suggesting places open late for a bite to eat as well.

A great experience from the moment we arrived. A very welcoming host, a spacious comfortable room and an excellent breakfast.

Lovely. Nice gentleman (Jackie) welcomed us. All good. NIce breakfast.

Unfortunately the Bar and Restaurant where closed for our stay due to renovations. But the host owner Jackie was a brilliant character and proved plenty of chat and a fine Irish Breakfast.

The host was very helpful--giving us lots of info about the surrounding area and events that were happening while were there. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious-fresh fruit, cereals, and a full Irish breakfast. the Inn is centrally located in the town and we were able to walk to dinner, pubs, beaches, etc.

We were greeted by Jackie, the owner, who toured us around. The hotel is shutting down for the season soon so we got the royal treatment...although I think it would have been the same, regardless. Jackie is a wealth of knowledge about the area and history, pointing us in the directions of many cool things to see. Our room was spacious with all the amenities we needed. The location is great!!...about 5 minute walk to ocean, grocery store right around the corner, bakery and restaurants. Parking right on the street. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I truly feel like I will return to Ballybunion for a summer holiday and will definitely stay here again!!

Hotel Owner unaware of our booking, had to wait 90minutes for his arrival

Super personal attention by owner. More like bed and breakfast feel. Great recommendations for dining. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has permanently closed. This left us on the street scrambling to find alternative accommodations. We met the owner - a lovely man who has fallen on hard times. However, please update the website to prevent this happening to other travelers.

Jackie and John were great! Humble B&B but very clean with good breakfast in real good location. Great for a golf trip to Ballybunion

Warm welcome from the start. Great information on arrival, introducing both the hotel and the town, very helpful. Room was spacious, warm, quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast in the morning, strawberries to die for ! Very helpful advice about our onward trip, and things to take in. ...Excellent !

This was a great place to stay for a couple of days. The rooms were spacious and in good condition and the breakfast was great. But most importantly the hospitality shown by Jackie, John and the staff was exceptional. Highly recommended! The town is lovely too, with fabulous beaches, enough bars and restaurants and even a good golf course.

Stay was lovely, very nice room. Owner was very nice and welcoming, breakfast was lovely with excellent variety of fruits and cereals.

Nice hotel with service like home!

Had a wonderful stay at Harty Costello. The room was confortable and very clean. The staff was amazing, super helpful and accomodating. He location was perfect to view some of the pretiest cliffs we saw in Ireland and close to pubs and restaurants. Breaksfast was delicious!

The hotel was not doing food but gave me plenty if recommendations within a few mins walk. The official breakfast time was starting at 8.00 but on learning I was on business the manager agreed to serve breakfast at 7.15 which I thought was very accommodating . The parking is street parking which I was unlucky not to get so parked on the nearby shopping centre which was free overnight. Wifi only really worked in the lounge which I had to myself . The staircase to the room was partially outdoors which meant that a coat was needed to use the downstairs rooms.

Nice addition to our trip. If you would like to see the real Ireland, add this to your itinerary. The town was very cool. The pubs were fun, food was good and the cliffs and beach were amazing. The hotel owners were great. Thanks Jack and family See you Rob

The Costello is a solid 3 star. I was a solo traveler in between golf rounds. I only needed a place to sleep after golf and the pubs. \ Parking was a little difficult, but that's not the hotel's fault.
