Great friendly busy pub, comfortable room - excellent croissants at breakfast!

The room and beds were amazing, very cosy and well decorated.

Mostly the fact that I could hear music and people till midnight, more from the nearby brewery rather than the Inn itself. I would caution with the location of Harbour Inn because on a weekend it is very lively all around it and if you're tired and bothered by music and sounds you'll struggle. Breakfast was nice although no one told us that the cooked breakfast was included in our booking. And because the menu had prices next to those meals we stuck to the buffet instead but if would have known we would have probably ordered the cooked breakfast.

The room size was perfect, bed was so comfy, view of the harbour was beautiful too! We had dinner in the pub and it was unreal, breakfast in the morning was lush too. Really friendly staff, cannot fault this place one bit!

Location was amazing. We loved the window seating area in the room to watch the world go by and enjoy our leftover wedding cake! Breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly. Bed comfy.

The room was incredibly hot. There was a fan provided. I think it would help to leave the curtains drawn (from direct sun) and window open before our check in.

Jättemysigt Inn i mysiga lilla Porthsleven. Rummet var fint renoverat och hade bekväm säng och en välbehövlig fläkt. Gångavstånd till strand. Mycket bra frukost.

Breakfast, worst hotel/pub breakfast we’ve experienced (& we’ve had lots) No fruit or museli whatsoever. Yogurt and pastries covered in flies. Why ever weren’t they just covered during this heatwave? It’s an easy fix. I asked if they had any potted yoghurts that would have been safe but they didn’t.

The location was great and in general a really good feeling to the Harbour Inn. Great views of the harbour from our room. Breakfast was lovely - food wise.

Our stay was completely tainted by the rude gentleman at breakfast, really poor attitude and service. We had the deluxe suite and whilst nice, a little tired in areas. Wallpaper peeling, curtain blind coming away, main light not working and shower hose adjustment broken. Given the price point of £292 for a night, not really great. I’d expect a better standard and certainly air conditioning at this price point. Anywhere else in the UK and it would be half the price.

Restaurant had an excellent dish (laksa) that I loved, room had a great little sitting area, cookies were excellent, and so many cool pieces of old antique art, breakfast was great too, bartender was wonderful and recommended a wonderful cider.

Wonderful stay right in the heart of the town. Great breakfast, friendly staff and lovely evening menu. Stayed through a heatwave, but cooling fan provided in the room. Facilities and rooms were top class. Highly recommended.

Beautifully decorated. I couldn’t have asked for any better. They had all the accessories/extras you’d expect, and more.

Leider nichts, da wir ein Zimmer bekamen das so eine miese Aussicht hatte, das es eine Schande ist, so ein stummer für do viel Geld zu vermieten.

Auf Nachfrage, das Zimmer zu tauschen, ging es natürlich nicht und wir bekamen nur die Antwort, dass wenn man über booking.com bucht, bekommt man eben solch ein Zimner. Absolut frech, den 2 Nächte haben 540 € gekostet und das ist absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Zimmer zwar klein, aber sehr gemütlich. Gutes Essen. Freundlicher Empfang

Breakfast quality was poor for what we had. We both ordered variations of poached eggs. They dishes too k a long time to arrive. The plates turned up cold and the eggs were overdone. It looked like they had been sat there for a while before being served to us

Quirky but lovely room... like a ship's cabin but with a cosy sitting room area. Best sticky toffee pudding ever!!

Für uns als Wanderer auf dem SWCP liegt das Hotel ideal. Bei Ankunft lockt die Aussenbar am Hafen zum Bier. Freundlicher Empfang. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, Bett sehr bequem. Nach einer langen Wanderung ist es angenehm, im Hotel essen zu können. Der Fisch war lecker.

Eine Leselampe auf dem Zimmer wäre angenehm. Die Beleuchtung ist eher schummerig, jedenfalls für ältere Personen.

The location in the harbour was perfect, food and drinks excellent and staff friendly and efficient. Ideally located to wander around Porthleven.

We arrived late on a sunny afternoon during school half-term holiday, following a bank holiday weekend, so predictably parking was a bit of a problem. We did find an on-street space about 10 mins walk away and moved the car to the hotel car park early the next day. However, it did seem that non-hotel residents were using the car park. It wasn't clear if it is shared with other businesses, which may be adding to the pressure on limited spaces. It was only a minor issue.

The position

One of the two rooms we booked was very hot without air conditioning

For a pub that is advertised as overlooking the harbour it was disappointing to have a room with a view of the car park and next door burger van.

We loved this Inn. Its location is beautiful with ships, ice cream, great restaurants. The room, though not big, was very nicely decorated. It had the best bed and bed linens of our entire stay. Bathroom was great with nice hot water, shelving, great shower pressure. There was a mini fridge (only place that had one for my medicine), a desk, chair, closet, 2 night tables, nice size tv. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was great. Staff friendly and welcoming and helped with luggage upstairs as there is no lift.

Parking is limited. We did fine but in the summer, it might be rough. The only thing I’d change if I was them as this was a little awkward, you check in in the restaurant itself. As we got in during dinner service, you are walking in with luggage, coats, wet umbrellas and everyone stares at you. They do have a small foyer with a door to the outside to the left of the main entrance which if they placed the portable desk there, would seem to make a better entrance rather than the restaurant. Just a minor thing and we loved the hotel.

A great place to stay for time in Porthleven. Easy to walk around from here and to explore this picturesque little harbour. Great decor, friendly service and good food are on offer. We enjoyed our stay. For hikers on the Southwest Coastal path, this is great overnight stop.

We were a bit taken aback by all the dogs in the pub!

Exceptional hotel! Beautifully done throughout with beautiful design and attention to detail. Went for a morning dip in the harbour because there were swimming robes. Got a room upgrade and just loved the vibe and professionalism of the staff.

Not terribly helpful staff , when we were 5 mins late for food , kitchen was closed.

Great location, friendly staff, really comfortable bed. Nice pastries and coffee. Proper job on tap and good spot outside overlooking harbour to drink it.

Only comment is that my breakfast choice could’ve been better. Had poached eggs on sourdough with avocado. Eggs a bit over not runny and lacking seasoning and only one bit of toast but was tasty enough.

A wonderful warm welcome ! The location was perfect for the beautiful harbour & little shops etc .Lovely for walkers also .Excellent food & facilities !

The cooked breakfast was excellent. Gluten free options were available. Maybe some more variation of fruit in the fruit salad?

All good as a hotel and breakfast. There is less variety on the main menu than there used to be. We would have eaten in the pub every night if there had been a few more choices.

Breakfast was fabulous. Disappointed with 1st night in room where window overlooked external drinking area and very noise. Moved for 2nd night upon request and much happier with 2nd room. Both rooms small, but well appointed and excellent super king size beds. Lovely to have fresh milk in fridge each day. Fridge well stocked with drinks and nice snacks provided.
