Amazing friendly staff and the peranakan decor is picture-friendly. Located right smack in tourist attraction area
We had 2 rooms as went with another couple. Location right smack in Jonker Area. However maintenance of rooms are poor - water leaked from below basin in bathroom, rendering floor wet and had to put towel on floor to prevent slipping on wet floor, shower knob missing, plaster peeling off walls etc. Bed and bedding were comfortable though.
Hotel is too old and not maintained properly except for the public arras. The rooms and the toilets are beat up.
Good
Rustic
Check in was alright. However, was disappointed with the deluxe room we booked for, the room was dusty, moldy, and to be fair, the price we paid was expensive and not expecting for a torn pillow case, torn towels, and musky room that is hard to sleep at night. And room had a centipede
The hotel has been beautifully designed and renovated but I woke up in the morning after my first night here absolutely covered in mosquito bites. The room is not well-sealed: there are gaps from the shower to the light well and no way of ensuring an insect-free experience. Also downsides for me - a lack of natural light in the bedroom and no breakfast provided.
The jucuzzi in the suite was the highlight. The condition of the room is run-down with dust and cobwebs at the various corners. However, it’s still passable if you are not too fussy.
Nice little hotel with Chinese decor. Big room and great location close to everything.
Over priced for a place like this
Great hotel right next to China town. The style of hotel is lovely.
In the heart of Melaka yet very quiet room. The hotel has a very nice decor and spacious rooms however, it’s not very well maintained. The room smelled damp, it was dusty and had hair on floors, shower was blocked, paint flaking…
Despite parking issue due to the famous narrow road of jonker street and nearby arear, it just walking distance near all famous historical building. if u r driving just remove the no parking sign for a quick check in nad the staff will lead u to a nearby parking. the place is antique but it is ok for the price
Service was excellent. Staff greeted us eagerly, and assisted us to our room. The room was cleaned /replenished every day. It was a small , boutique room, with no refrigerator, but it was quite a nice place…had a distressed, antique, vibe. It was also very close to the riverwalk and all the touristy attractions. Grab was exceedingly cheap here, so if you needed to go to the beach or other locations further away it will not be a problem.
Our stay was very nice. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. The room and ambiance is wonderful and the location is the best. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the river. Also, it’s very peaceful atmosphere.
Close proximity to Jonkers Street food and shopping. Property is dated but kept quite clean. Good for short weekend stay.
Nice comfortable hotel with a historical feel. Although some parts of the room is kinda unfinished, it gives the room a historical feel. Amenities are provided and room is pretty clean. I like the 4-poster bed. Location next to the night market, so it's a very convenient hotel to be in. Just make sure room windows are shut tightly to prevent mosquitoes from flying in. Highly recommended.
Cute boutique hotel with nice decor. In the perfect location, welcoming staff, and clean. The room could use a little touch up but I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Large room. In a old Chinese building. In the heart of the town.
Close to tourist attractions
Overall good ah!
Very conveniently located with helpful staff. Room and communal areas could do with a make-over.
The reception staff Intan was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. So walkable to Jonker St Night Market, shops and eateries. Hard to get a park but luckily the Reserved parking space at the hotel front was good for offloading bags. The Peranakan hotel is a historical building but needs to be maintained as the shower ceiling had water dripping down when the guests in the room above took a shower. Some parts of the walls had paint flaking off and dents. A real shame that this historical building lacks some TLC
Beautiful hotel - like staying in someones’s stylish antique filled home. Staff lovely. Very comfy huge king size bed with very nice quality sheets, good shower and bathroom. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.
The location wise and staffs is great ! But the property itself if rundown, and very dirty . Obvioisly is not being clean properly, dust is everywhere . Water leakage problem on the ceiling and thign chipping off . The worst thing is the design for the toilet . Not fully closed up for the WC area. Smell and noise all over the room when use the toilet . Not worth paying for this hotel at all !!
NO PLACE TO HANG CLOTHES & NO CHAIRS & TABLE'S IN ROOM
Centrally located; intimate; lovely interior; attentive and friendly staff; the perks of being in a small hotel
Other than the parking which is understandable considering the density of the Jonker Walk area, the hotel is beautiful and very historic. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is just next to the famous Jonker Street, so the location is perfect for those who wants to just walk out to the busy tourist street. It is also just a 5 minute walk to the Dutch Square, the River Walk and and a few more minutes to A' Formosa. The room is clean and the decor is astounding.
Historical amazing building.
beautiful heritage building, clean and well maintained.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. 1 min walk to Jonker Street.
Location was amazing, hotel lobby was beautiful and rooms were clean
There is bed bugs in room F1. Initially i thought it was mosquito, i put on the mosquito repellant but the bites did not stop. Since i cant sleep. I woke up and saw the bug crawling.
Amazing stay with friendly guides from staff. Love everything in the room and the whole hotel. Will come again with bigger crowd.
Nice
Did not find the bed linen clean and suspect may not have been changed at all. The single 2 seater couch has seen better days.
Good hotel but not sure if you're getting what you pay for. The lobby is just beautiful but the rooms aren't that impressive, I know it's supposed to have an antique local cultural vibe but it doesn't mean you cannot renovate the rooms a little bit once in a while and it seems like they haven't been renovated in years. Probably my only complaint is the hot water doesn't last 5 minutes before turning to warm water only. Location wise you cannot get anything better than this, it's in a very convenient location to stroll around all the main touristic places yet still a very quiet location. Would I stay again here? Maybe, the location is awesome and the place is cozy.
Nice interior decor in public areas. Location is excellent in heritage area of Malacca. Staff was welcoming and quick to respond to our requests even going out of their way to send an item forgotten by one of our travelling companions.
Beautiful lobby and great service staff. highly recommended boutique Peranakan hotel
Love everything here. I had a lovely experience of staying in the heart of Melacca heritage town. So convenient to visit all the place around here on your foot.
The room was very special and the breakfast is delicious. Very close to he Jonker street
Very clean. Room well equipped. Staff very friendly and helpful. Awesome atmosphere. Great location. Value for money. Place of interest, Jonker Street, shopping malls, and etc etc, are within walking distance. Highly recommended.
We love that its a heritage premise, & its peranakan styling. There is always someone at reception, and like it that the front door is always locked at night, for safety reasons. Guest can access with the room card, besides, the friendly reception staff recognises the guests. Excellent location, jonker st, central, yet its peaceful & quiet inside the hotel. I would rate it a 4 star, if not for the room that we stayed in, looks very tired, bed and pillows weren't comfortable. It was the junior suite.
Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and amenities were very complete. I love that the setting was in an old nyonya house style so you get to experience and see the interiors of it. Great experience overall!
Fantastic location -- conveniently located right on Heeren, which is perfect for those seeking a Peranakan cultural experience. Hotel has an impressive and inviting lobby -- feels authentic and particularly love the soothing water feature. Our twin room was a little sparse on decor, but had everything we needed. Definitely recommend a stay here for the convenience and experience of staying in a historic shophouse.
Towels not clean.
Was nice. Me and wife enjoyed the room and it's surrounding amenies.
The location is closer to major attractions, e.g. the jonker st and the nyonya museum. The room was small. It did not have much space for the luggage or to sit other than the bed.
the baba & nyonya deco is good for that selfie/wife moments. Room was clean, friendly and accommodating staffs. Strategic location. Will definitely be back.
Stay was gd except that you need to climb the stairs. Some of the switch in room are non existance. Phone call is working but no ringing. Funny? Breakfast across the road. The quality and variety is average. Parking is generally safe 2 streets behind the hotel. Location very near jonker street. Overall still a good place.
The Staff are friendly, always greeting you whenever they see you. Special thanks to John who made us feel welcome and very very helpful. Definitely would be back here again.
The public area is eclectic and nicely decorated, it being in an old shophouse helps. However, the bedroom, bathroom and in-room amenities are normal, I would rate it as a guest-house standard at best. The floorboard is thin and we could hear the footsteps from the bedroom above us. Breakfast is pathetic. For the price, it's not worth it. Also, after booking, I found out that the room rate at Agoda is SGD70 with no service fees. On hotel.com, the rate was SGD90 + $14.65 services fee. There are nicer hotels at half the price.
every room different. antiques everywhere. throwback to the past.
Great location in a beautuful.old building in the heart of Melaka's Cbinatiwn.
It is a good experience to stay in a local style hotel... it is nice. And location also near the centre area.
Good location. Courteous and helpful staff. Would be better for toilet facilities to be enclosed. We have had mosquitoes bites - probably due to wet weather.
Overall not bad but room don’t have window
Heeren Courtyard staffs' services are superb! The interior is well-maintained and the location is really strategic. Only a 15-minute walk from the hotel to Jonker street and the new night market at Kee Ann street. Worth every penny spent! :D
If you like Peranakan settings, then this is the place. The settings at the lobby and yard is very nice. Other than that, the rooms and amenities are basic like what you will expect from a 3* hotel. The location is good as well, just 2-3mins walk to the night market Jonker Street. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.
A comfortable stay, good location. Only disappointment is that they don't have a fridge.
Happy with the hotel except the room a little narrow especially with an extra bed. However, not happy that I found out that the rate for local Malaysian on walk in for same setup was around RM300 but I actually paid RM404 with Orbitz. I am a Malaysian!
The hotel was very charming and extremely close to Jonker Walk. There are many eateries around the area as well. Very safe and quiet place. Will definitely return again to stay here.
The interior of the hotel is unique. However, i think certain maintenance and facilities upgrade helps. Staff were courteous and friendly.
Great location, and generous and tasty breakfast are the highlights of this property. We arrived at 9pm and had quite a delay checking in, but otherwise the staff was great.
It could not be worse. We know that the hotel has free parking, so we parked in the roadside parking space in front the hotel (in the white block). Then we were told that the hotel parking is a few blocks away. when we moved to the hotel parking lot, we found that the tyre was flat - a merchant in the neighbourhood put trash bags in the parking lot in front of the hotel, which contains broken glasses! I told the hotel that they needed to call the police, file a report, find out who did it and avoid it in the future (otherwise, it may happen to other guests!). however, when I came back in 1 hr, I found that another car parked on the trash bags... In the next morning, a new trash bag showed up in the parking lot... The only answers that i got from the hotel were: there used to be a trash bin, but not sure why it was disappeared; they had talked to the neighbour before, but it did not work; the manager was traveling overseas so could not talk to me. This incident cost me MYR 1100+.... In addition to the terrible experience, the hotel is not kids friendly at all. Could not sleep well in the night due to the aircon. Also, the wall in the bathroom looks dangerous... Will never come back again.
Great stay. Room was tidy and its condition is just perfect for a night stay in Melaka. Location is good close to Jonker street. A Lady from the reception was friendly and helpfull. Lovely interior in the lobby.
We enjoyed our stay with this hotel. Service was good. Warm hospitality. Air-conditioning is strong too since it's very hot during this month. We would stay here again if we come back to Malacca.
Amazing service and recommendations from hotel to great food. The parking is abit far away but we enjoyed the experience and will come back again.
Good Location, Beautiful Environment, Friendly Staff.. just the floor of room a little bit sticky but it doesn't really matter. will re-visit.
Old chinese furniture in public areas good. Poor internet not so good.
room floor dusty and can;t sleep well too many mosquito .
Beautiful, beautiful old house. The location is great, very close to the action. Staff was friendly and helpful. If there is one improvement to suggest, that would be a small fridge in the room. All else was great. Thank you !
Beautiful peranakan interior, great service. Authentic peranakan experience, glad I came here instead of higher rated Novotel/holiday inn
comfort environment,staff is friendly.
Very kind and helpful. Great breakfast.
Hotel is very close to Jonker Street and Melaka's places of interest. It will be great to have reserved parking in front of hotel for guests. This is to have peace of mind during our stay.
Charming little hotel, clean, comfortable and hospitable. Beautiful mix of lush plants, water and Chinese furniture make this an interesting place to stay. Good breakfast with plenty of choice served by friendly staff. Our rooms had everything we needed; shower provides loads of hot water at good pressure. My only negative would be the hole in the ceiling above the shower allows mosquitoes in and as I react badly to bites this was a concern. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Malacca again.
Not so good experien..the apartment no hire dryer not enough toilet paper and the pillows is smelly but.. the night receptionist is helpful he is helping me to get all the things I want.
The service was excellent and the location was great as it was just within walking distance to the historic spots and Jonker Street.
Not sure what happened but our room was terrible. I have stayed in 60+ hotels in the past 10yrs and this room was the worst. It doesn't look like any of the pictures it was room G2. The room was dirty with dust and dirt on the floors, dust and dead bugs on the misquito netting over the bed, black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, an account unit that couldn't keep up, no safe, no refrigerator, only only one working channel on the TV, and very poor sound proofing. The only nice things I can say are that the staff was very nice, the breakfast was good, and the location was excellent
Great small hotel, walking distance to many sights and major streets. My room facing inner courtyard, so does not have natural light. Otherwise, very nice intimate place.
Lovely hotel located near the jonker walk, very convenient location and the hotel is beautifully peranakan themed. Unfortunately the room lacked a safe and the wall sockets were faulty, the rooms also aren't very soundproof which can be annoying. You can easily hear lots of noise from outside the room, and we kept hearing bumping noises coming from the rooms upstairs. It would also be nice to have a mini fridge but alas. However, the staff were friendly and we found the simple breakfast included to be quite satisfactory. All in all the experience was overall a pleasant one.
Really nice place..We have wonderful weekend at the Hotel. We would recommend our friend to stay at this Hotel.
good location near Jonkers street but not in the noise
No elevator. Poor ventilation in room as bathroom/ toilet doesn't have exhaust fan to direct smell from the bathroom / toilet. There are several hotels with the heeren name but don't share the same management with Heeren palm suites, hence very misleading. Car parking lots are quite a distance from Hotel and no CCTV. Not value for money.
Parking is a challenge as it is near Jonker Walk. There is however a reserved lot outside the hotel that you must inform the counter staff to help remove the sign and guide your car in. The hotel carpark is about 2 minutes walk from the back of the hotel. The staffs are friendly and approachable.
The room smells of sewage. Bad condition. Very old furnishing. Won't stay here ever.
Wonderful. I will choose here again if I have a chance to visit Malacca in the futufuture.
Very nice hotel within easy walking distance of the night market and all the other attractions. Very quiet hotel, good clean rooms and friendly staff.
Prime location to museums, beaded nyonya shoe stores, Jonker street night market. Breakfast is across the street in another building. Malacca stay was super!
Location of this hotel is fantastic for exploring Jonker Street.
Nice to stay, this is one of the hotel near to jonker street. I'd like suggest the owner split the room with different size bed. We feel like get cheated after paid online, we received notification that our paid room not available due to double (full) bed size not available, we cannot cancel and no refund, we keep follow up and finally solved on a day before stay date. Our room toilet not vented, no ventilation fan and windows locked. All staff friendly, cleaner staff is helpful.
Right next to jonker street and the stay is unique in a shophouse setting
The hotel is near Jonker Walk. The entire lane has lots of Peranakan shops. The hotel is beatifully decorated with gorgeous Perakanan decor. I stayed in room F7 Executive Suite for two nights. The room is spectacular and it comes with a jacuzzi! Bed is super comfy, slept peacefully throughout the night. Breakfast is decent. Everyone at the hotel are super friendly and hospitable! Definitely recommend this hotel to all!
Nice hotel with wonderful location, ambience and décor. The location was excellent as well - down the road from the Nyonya and Baba heritage museum, and Jonker street was one street away. However, the only drawback was that there were some bugs in the room which kept biting me and my boyfriend - that made for a slightly uncomfortable night.
Lovely renovated hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff who printed our bus tickets for us and gave us advice regarding the area. Great decor inside and loved the fish!
Hotel with extraordinary settings that makes us felt that we're travel back in time to old straits of Malacca. Staffs are helpful and gaves us warn welcome.
The hotel was in a great location with easy walking distance to the sites. The staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was really lovely. Breakfast across the street was really good as was the welcome drink on arrival. Our room was lovely and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
Friendly and helpful staffs. Good advice of the local chicken rice
Room is much smaller than expected and not well maintained
