The hosts Judy and Basil were pleasant and informative. Judy fed us with delicious breakfast, we had local guests come for breakfast, Bob and Roberta ( gulls). Our room/washroom were clean and comfortable, ( house coats provided nice touch ! ) Awesome views of the bay from location. Close to restaurants, shops. Definitely recommend The Bay and Breakfast!!!!

I spent two nights at The Bayside Bed & Breakfast in Bareneed – and absolutely loved it. With only four rooms, the place feels quiet and personal. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The breakfast deserves special mention: freshly and lovingly prepared by the host, and truly delicious. The location right on the water is breathtaking – you can relax for hours just admiring the view. The rooms are cozy, tastefully decorated, and everything worked perfectly.

Two small downsides: While each room has its own private bathroom, it’s not ensuite – you have to step into the hallway, which is a bit inconvenient at night. Also, as is often the case in Canada, the rooms are quite noisy.

My stay here was fabulous! The view is gorgeous, it’s well-equipped, and comfortable. I travel a lot for work and this is the closest I’ve come to feeling like I was home in my own bed.

Judy is an awesome cook. The view was stellar. Well appointed.

It was a little off the beaten path but not really isolated and that is the worst thing I can come up with.

We loved the home. It was beautiful. The views were spectacular and we sat outside both of our nights and watched the sunset. Judy, our host, made us a delicious dinner on our first night. Try her fish tacos! The breakfasts were lovely. The common area was very comfortable and was a great place to sit and chat with other guests, or just sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

This was our first trip to the island, and the bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations with its delightful Newfoundland charm, culture and local breakfast treats. The breathtaking views were a highlight, and we enjoyed the short drives to the harbor, local pubs, St. John's and many area attractions. Our stay was incredibly comfortable. Thanks Judy. 5 stars.

Unbeatable views from the property, right at the water. Loved the fact that Judy's home was spic and span, accessible and well kept. Judy's a fabulous cook. If you're in Newfoundland -- I would highly recommend you make your way to Judy's for a night or two and while you're there -- must must try her food. She goes out of her way to ensure you get warm home cooked breakfast -- absolutely amazing. Staggering views!

Bayside is Bed & Breakfast at its purest and finest. Our room was exactly what we hoped for (including a quality bed!) and our breakfast each morning was creative, delightful and met our unique dietary challenges. I’d recommend the Bayside to anyone.

Popped in for a relaxing night and morning. 100% what we got. The hosts Judy and Basil were extremely accommodating. Not only was there a beautiful view to take in the whole time, but the dinner and breakfast were better than most restaurants. Would absolutely recommend.

For people who are complaining about the bathroom being across the hall, they provided robes for that specific reason, as well as your comfort.

From the time you walk into the home it is comfortable and cozy. The breakfast were delicious, the area, property were beautiful. We enjoyed our two night stay and highly recommend anyone to stay

This place was exceptional! Do yourself a favour and enjoy the amazing meals provided! Home cooked n delicious!! All rooms had a separate bathroom that was not shared and you had your own key to it. Views of ocean never get old!

Not enough words to describe the fantastic experience at Bay Robert’s. From the views the property offers to the rooms to the social area to the dining area to the hosts. Every need was looked after; the breakfasts and dinner were the best. We cannot thank Judy enough for providing the experience she did. We truly hope to be back one day.

This property is beautiful, gorgeous views and great location. A must stay when in the area.

One of the very best B&Bs we've ever seen. Judy is the perfect host, and the property is gorgeous. Spacious, comfortable, clean and inviting. The living area for guests is extraordinary, and our bedroom (the Blue Cove room with ensuite) had everything we wanted. Very comfortable bed, big TV with a DVD and movie library (plus hookups for HDMI etc). Lots of nice touches. Large wooden chairs on the back lawn overlook the bay, distant enough from the house that you can have a conversation without being heard, and the view from the breakfast room is gorgeous. BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME! We will highly recommend this B&B to friends and we will be coming back next summer. If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay while visiting the area, a quick drive to all kinds of great spots (like the awesome Madrock Cafe), this is it. (If you're put off by the "detached bathroom" thing, don't be. Each room gets its own private bathroom, in the same beautiful hallway as all of the room doors. Bathrooms are only a couple of steps from the rooms, each door marked with the name of the corresponding room. Now that we've actually seen how it's set up, we'd have no hesitation booking one of those rooms anytime.) Honestly, everything about The Bayside is perfect. We'll be back!

Fantastic b&b, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The house has an amazing view of the ocean. Basil and Judy are great hosts, and they serve wonderful breakfast and dinner.

The house is on a hill with a beautiful view in all directions. Judy is the perfect hostess and the food is fabulous. The bedroom is a little small.

Absolutely amazing view and delicious breakfast. We stayed one night after a long drive around the peninsula. The place was very clean with spotless floors. We were lucky to have clear weather, in the back yard I saw the most incredible stars and sunrise. Great experience!

Staying at The Bayside Bed and Breakfast was a fantastic experience. Judy is a great host. The food is amazing. And the view over the bay is simply fabulous! We stayed in the blue bay room. The room was immaculate and comfortable. This is probably one of the best bed and breakfast place that I have ever been to.

Bayside B&B stands high above the bay, offering lovely views, the light shifting with the time of day and the mood of the weather. Our room was clean and bright, our nicely equipped private bath was down the hall, robes and slippers provided. There is a common room with coffee, tea and snacks. Breakfast is plentiful, tasty and appealing, served in a sunny (weather permitting) room overlooking the bay. Our impression is that the Bayside B&B is very well run and cared for. Judy, our host, was personable and helpful. The B&B is a bit off the main road, but Judy sends out excellent directions. I reccomend the Bayside to anyone who wants quiet comfort, located about an hour from St. John's.
