Some outside noise but this was outside of the control of the host. It was only for a short period.

The rooms were really clean, neat and tidy. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing, definitely get the full English breakfast. The staff was also really friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. We really enjoyed our stay in Annan.

Very friendly and helpful host who helped me accommodate my small 50cc scooter and carried luggage for me. Breakfast was copious and delicious with excellent range (I appreciated the fruit smoothie especially!). Room was spacious and very comfortable and a nice hot shower.

Comfortable and affordable basic accommodation in a central location, convenient for Gretna and Dumfries. Very comfortable bed, I slept very well and I’m not a good sleeper. Very accommodating staff, check in was at 5pm but was happily offered earlier check in around 3pm. Nice soft fluffy towels. Easy parking opposite the b&b and fantastic breakfast with a big coffee pot and large orange juice and generous serving. All very tasty.

Pillows, although comfortable were old and had seen better days so new pillows would be nice and a few touch ups on paintwork, radiators but everything was very clean and comfortable and we were very happy with our stay.

The property was conveniently located in the town, we found parking easily, we had a large, comfortable room and the owner was very helpful. The breakfast was really nice. We would stay there again.

Sehr sauberes Zimmer in der Innenstadt von Annan gelegen. Fußläufig gibt es einige Pubs und Möglichkeiten etwas zu essen. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und unsere Hunde waren kein Problem.

Perfectly sized room, comfy bed and en-suite. Lovely owner and great location. Good breakfast too. All for a great price.. what's not to like.

A beautiful house in a quiet road.

It is a comfortable Guest House, at a reasonable price and including an excellent breakfast.

Our stay at yhr Old Rextory was superb. The person in charge, David, was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was the best in Annan, bravo!! Location was superb.

Only downside is the water pressure. Very difficult to have a nice shower.

Pleasant overnight stay en route back from Scotland, comfortable quiet room, excellent breakfast, friendly host. Convenient for the town centre, managed to park on the street across the road. Good value for money, on the whole.

Room could have done with a dust, particularly the bedside tables! Bathroom was a bit tired and could do with a bit of a refurbishment.

We had a triple room in the B&B. Located close to the centre of the city. We could park our car in front of the building. The room had just enough space for the beds. The bathroom was OK. Breakfast was nice.

The room was dusty along the ledges and the tv screen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time with marks and splashes. The kettle for making drinks sat below it which seemed a bit dangerous.

Very friendly owner who made sure he was there for me to check in slightly early. I had a surprisingly large room with a comfy bed. It was in a great location close to the railway station. The morning breakfast offering is one of the best I have ever seen at a B&B. Fully recommend staying here.

Een super fijne host met extra informatie en aanraders voor te eten in de buurt. Super lekker ontbijt met wat je vraagt vanop de gegeven kaart. Niets is te veel, rekening houdend met allergieën! Grote kamers. Rustige omgeving.

De kleine bedden van 1m40, maar dit is in Engeland/Schotland bijna overal.

I arranged with proprietor to book in at 3pm.arrived then and no- one there. Rang doorbell intermittently until 3.30. no answer.Rang tel..no. several times. Told dialled incorrect number.: Could see no- one in garden. Saw an open back door so stepped in to a kitchen and called Helllo several times. No answer. Returned to car and a man came out . Told him my name and why I was there. He held out his hand and said Goodbye!! Tod me I had entered his house uninvited.! Explained situation!and he was just plain rude to me. Told him I would find somewhere else to stay and left. No signal on my phone so could not contact you. Never in all my life have I experienced such behaviour at a B and B. And for a woman on her own to be treated like that was intimidating and appalling.

This is a cycle-friendly property. We were allowed to roll our bikes right into the foyer where they were safe. Dave was salty but funny; we had grand conversations about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 😉 The Old Rectory has great bones, and Dave upgraded our room for free and even gave us a fan during the heat wave. The bed was enormous and comfortable. Cotton linens and towels are always appreciated, as well as coffee, tea, and cookies in the room. The shining star of this stay, of course, was the breakfast. It was like being at a restaurant. A full menu, made to order. A delightful surprise for the reasonable price we paid for the stay.

Nous avons passé une excellente première nuit en Écosse dans ce charmant Bed & Breakfast. La chambre était très cosy, avec une literie extrêmement confortable, idéale après une journée de route. L'accueil du propriétaire a été particulièrement chaleureux et attentionné. Le petit-déjeuner était tout simplement exceptionnel, servi comme dans un restaurant, avec de délicieux produits locaux de grande qualité. Le porridge était un vrai régal ! Une très belle adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter pour commencer un séjour en Écosse.

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer Sauber und die Einweisung in alles angemessen. Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet und für Schottland sehr lecker. Die Lage ist sehr gut und man erreicht sowohl Essensmöglichkeiten wie auch Pubs innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu Fuß, dennoch ist die Unterkunft weit genug von dem Trubel der Innenstadt entfernt.

Das Badezimmer könnte ein Fenster gebrauchen welches sich öffnen lässt, das Beistellbett ist für Soldaten angemessen, ein Zivilist könnte aber sein Probleme damit haben und die Dusche brauchte ewig bis Sie warm wurde.

Annan is a very cool little town that we were very glad we went to and the Old Rectory is an amazing complement to this wonderful place. Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were really good, the host was friendly and welcoming, and the location was great (though, to be fair, Annan is not very big so location might not be a problem) but it was perfectly situated between the train station and main street.

I can't think of anything that could be improved on.

I got wet outside and felt a little cold - heating off, unsurprising as it's June but I was a bit chilly for a while and no extra blankets to wrap around. However, the shower was good and hot (eventually) and I was certainly warm enough overnight. I'm a cold person, despite being from the Highlands, so this is just a personal observation!
