Hotel Tugu Blitar

A gem of a hotel feels like home surrounded by wonderful art collection, history and nostalgia. Staff are very welcoming and helpful serving tasty local dishes and local signature drinks. Blitar is a must for those interested in history from ancient times at Penataran Temple to the life of Soekarno. Easy walk from the train station and hotel can also help with touring.

Really enjoyed my stay in this heritage hotel. My room was comfortable with good hot water, TV and Wifi. Staff were all excellent and very proactive. Beautiful artifacts, photographs etc . A glimpse of how it used to be in colonial days. Happily stay here again.

Lovely staff who is incredibly courteous and kind. Lots of attention to detail with this colonial-style hotel.

Only minor issue was that the WiFi at times worked only intermittently.

The historical side of the building and the site, it brought us back to the era. The staff were very friendly. The food at the restaurant was very authentic and heaps of choices.

Vintage vibes, if you like vintage and history, you'll love this hotel. Some may not comfortable with vintage wood furniture,, but I don't mind. Friendly staffs Historical & vintage photo spots

The staff was simply incredible, so sweet and friendly! The history of this place, the food (the best I've had so far in Java), and it's within walking distance of the railway station. They organized a nice driver and a breakfast box for me to visit Kelud, the Penataran temple and Sukarno's grave.

The bathroom could use some renovating, but the price for the room is very cheap, so that's totally fine.

Wel een raam, maar geen uitzicht. Douchen in bad. Wifi is matig.

The service and the satff were frindly and polite

Een mooi hotel met een prachtige entree. Het is ook een museum. We hadden de suite echt heel leuk, terug in de tijd, maar schoon en netjes. Het ontbijt is Indonesisch buffet maar ook a la carte met heerlijk brood en croissants. We zijn hier 1 nacht geweest, dat is ook voldoende voor Blitar. Bezoek ook de koffieplantage in Blitar. Terugblik in de koloniale tijd. Leuk om er koffie te kopen.

Fantastiskt vackert hotell med mycket historia. Vackert skött med alla växter och blommor. Varmt välkomnande av personalen. Personalen fanns alltid till hands och vi kände oss 100% omhändertagna. Vi fick hjälp med allt vi frågade om.

Vi tyckte om allt. Möjligen lite tråkig utsikt från vårt rum då det var ett bygge helt inpå men det kompenserades med att vi satt i restaurangen och de andra ställena som inbjöd till umgänge.

I enjoyed being immersed in history and surrounded by beautiful antiques and works of art, all of which are lovingly cared for. The manager and her staff treat all guests as special and do whatever is needed to ensure a memorable visit. I was a frequent visitor to the spa and treatments were very professional and caring. Thank you.

Very special heritage hotel, staffs are super nice always smiling and helpful. The restaurant is also authentic with plenty of selections includes breakfast and afternoon tea snacks. I had a fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always made me feel welcome. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-kept. A special mention to the massage therapist—she was amazing and had very strong hands. I felt completely relaxed afterwards. I would definitely come back!

The air conditioning was working, but I think it could use some servicing to improve performance. Also, the bedding could be upgraded for added comfort.

A little gem. Unique building with colonial aspects. Considerable effort is made to make furniture and artwork match with its history. Staff is friendly, considerate and well trained and make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Kitchen is excellent. We would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone who can appreciate it.

Air conditioning in my suite was not strong enough... Breakfast and restaurant are not closed so very hot and humid.

Location is oK. old hotel. very standard and enough for sleeping. Get the breakfast and afternoon tea, it's a good strong added point. Not so many hotels in Blitar, so Tugu is one of your best choice. The cleanliness can be better, even it's quite old hotel.

For the price the hotel mis not a value, I had a suite thread bare towels, beat up cigarette burned furniture stained drapes and upholstery. Overpriced mediocre food Very little info at check in, ie parking, spa. the plus lovely historic building.

The sevice offered by the the staff was, without exception, excellent. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and snacks which are offered daily. As there aren't many nearby dining options we ate at the hotel in the evenings as well as breakfast. The food is very good and well presented. On the down side, our "deluxe double" room was rather shabby. The bathroom was of a quality we would expect in much less expensive hotel.

I stay here for 2 weeks,everything ok except first night when I was taking a bath,there us a lizard on the wall but next day disappear. Because the bathroom is party open in the ceiling,there where mosquitoes,fries an small bloack insects on the room. Other than this,everything is good. The only thing I am not satisfied is the restaurant do not have air conditioning and cannot suffer eating there in the hot weather
