Wonderful place to stay very friendly

Fantastic place

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the setting fantastic. It’s in the middle of nowhere and so really really quiet. But several things did not support its four star status. There was no fridge in the room, only a cupboard where the fridge clearly should have been. There was no blanket available for the bed. The shower went from warm to scalding hot at random intervals. We chose to eat in the beautiful courtyard where there was a limited menu available, but from the limited menu, three items were not available, and the waiter could not produce a decent latte, even though I described it, very carefully, in fluent Spanish. Now for the good things: fabulous setting, very quiet, air-conditioning worked, the bed was extremely comfortable, the courtyard café was gorgeous, and had tasteful quiet music playing, and they had two Tesla destination chargers in the enclosed back courtyard, one of which I managed to use, (after having to reset it).

Check-in was mediocre, with only the minimum information provided about the property (and only when I specifically asked). There was no information given about the festivities in town, which were actually taking place during my stay. The pool is far too small for the size of the property, the spa was out of service, and on top of that, there was a constant motor noise in the background, which was anything but relaxing. In the room, the minibar didn’t work and the TV had all the antenna cables disconnected. Breakfast was terrible. Although it is advertised as a buffet, there were no hot options. When I asked for pepper, I was told they didn’t have any—even though it was on the shelf. I also requested a tomato, only to be told they had just run out. The beauty of the hotel is completely overshadowed by the lack of interest and care shown by the staff. Definitely not coming back.

El servicio muy amable y dirigente. El hotel está muy bien. Lo malo fueron las cortinas de la habitación que nos toco, dejaban entrar mucha luz y era difícil dormir después de la salida del sol. Para nuestro gusto el colchón y la almohada un poco duros. Pero todo el palacio y el personal muy bien.

Dieses historische Gebäude ist wunderschön aber es war so gut wie menschenleer und wirkte wie Geisterhaus. An Personal sahen wir nur 2 verschiedene Frauen an der Rezeption. Die Dame gestern war kühl geschäftlich, wir mussten gleich die Uhrzeit eintragen zu der wir frühstücken wollten. Die andere Dame heute hat uns das Frühstück ohne einen Hauch von Freundlichkeit serviert. Pro Person gab es eine Scheibe Tostata. Als mein Mann fragte ob wir noch etwas bekommen könnten, brachte sie eine einzige Scheibe. Natürlich wurde auch nicht nachgefragt ob wir eine weitere Tasse Kaffee wollten. Warum einige Scheiben Wurst und Schinken ohne weiteres Brot ist mir ein Rätsel. Die einzige freundliche Person die wir zu Gesicht bekamen war die Putzfrau. Schade, so ein tolles Haus aber in guter Erinnerung wird es uns nicht bleiben!

Hay que cuidar las instalaciones. Papel de WC barato, ducha en mal estado. Se percibe dejadez en el matenimiento

El hotel es precioso, un antiguo Palacio, y está bien ubicado para visitar el castillo. Por otro lado, tiene poco personal, y tardan muchisimo en todo, ademas no respetan sus propios horarios, no se aclaran con las reservas, bastante desastre.... bajamos a tomar algo a la cafeteria a las 4, pobe que cierra a las 5, pero nos dijeron que no nos podian dar nada, si acaso una bebida... quisimos reservar mesa para cenar y no estaban seguros de poder hacer la reserva porque no sabian cuantas reservas tenian ya.... todo un poco dejado. Por la zona en general la misma sensación, no se si porque era fiesta alli, pero todo cerrado y muy pocas ganas de atender a la gente.

Nos hemos llevado una grata sorpresa, superando así las expectativas que teníamos.

Fuimos buscando un lugar tranquilo con piscina para pasar unos dias de relax, y nos tocó ir a la piscina municipal. En la del hotel había una plaga de avispas increible. Al parecer, son conocedores del problema pero no se hacen con ella. Tras un primer intento y 3 picaduras, decidimos no volver a usarla.

Espacioso e histórico. Limpio, cómodo y muy bonito.

Muy contentos con la comodidad de la cama y con el desayuno. A poca distancia del castillo, lo que se agradece para caminar un poco.

This is a beautiful hotel that was once a monastery. The food was good, but breakfast is not a buffet as stated when I booked. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable and I found 2 long hairs (1 in the shower and 1 on pillow before I laid down). Otherwise, we loved this hotel and the beautiful Belmonte castle seen from most of the rooms. Dinner was affordable and really good. We would definitely stay there again.

Mejorar la limpieza, está situado cerca de todo.el pueblo es muy bonito

Es muy mejorable la limpieza y el mantenimiento.

Habia una boda, y ellos me avisaron con antelación, no fue demasiado ruidosa porque estábamos en una habitación alejada. Además me escribieron avisando. Debido a la boda, no había ni servicio de restaurante ni cafetería ni servicio habitaciones. Puedo aceptarlo porque me avisaron y eso dice mucho de ellos, pero no comprendo que un hotel de ese calibre no deje un servicio mínimo de sandwiches o cualquier cosa. O al menos que te compensen con un descuento o con un extra por no tener servicio de cocina...es lo que yo hubiese hecho. El desayuno es agradable y correcto, no siendo muy espabilado el camarero, pero tampoco resulta incomodo, ejemplo: le pedí si tienen aceite de oliva, como en cualquier hotel de España, se encogió de hombros, y me dijo "no". El staff en general muy agradable y correcto. Aun con todo, la experiencia fue buena, y le doy un notable y lo recomendaría, por su arquitectura y su ubicación.

El hotel es como hotel muy recomendable le falla la parte restauración que es mala y mal atendida.

Para el precio y categoria de este hotel no cumple con las expectativas. El personal de recepción y camareros voluntariosos y agradables, pero con falta de experiencia, falta de personal ya que si atienden el restaurante no pueden atender la cafetería. Desayuno tipo bufet de poca calidad para el precio, el lunes, porque el martes no era de bufet, nos trajeron una bandeja con bollería industrial y no si de días anteriores, otra bandeja de fiambre de calidad básica, y zumo no natural, pan tostado tipo molde. Y a la hora de pagar no me quieren dar ni un recibo de lo que tengo que abonar, me lo cargarán en tarjeta sin saber que tengo de gastos aparte de la habitación reservada, como era una cena y una comida. Hablamos de un hotel de 4 estrellas!! El Palacio es muy bonito, precioso, habitación comoda, pero una pena por lo demás.

He pagado 130€ por una noche en este hotel spa y resulta que el Spa ni lo vi, porque no estaba incluido en el precio, ni el desayuno ni nada. Me ha parecido carísimo para lo que realmente es y para la ubicación del mismo. El pueblo tiene cero encanto y el hotel un falso encanto que te desencanta en cuanto piensas por qué has pagado ese dinero?

It pains me to have to write this review about this otherwise lovely hotel. It's pretty to look at but lacks some basic sanitation and comforts. We stayed for 5 days and the entire time, the shower has poor temperature control and constantly vacillates from hot to cold so that it is impossible to take a pleasant shower. Further, there was absolutely no Wifi, and this impeded business meetings---so if you are relying on Wifi to do business, this is NOT the hotel for you. The hotel's interior temperature might be fine and cool in summer, but in November the entire hotel was freezing cold all the time. The restaurant's food was erratic, often cold and overcooked (we were part of a large group so perhaps they struggled with this). But most importantly, there was significant mold in the shower which they insisted was paint. When I asked them to put bleach on it to humor me, they refused. I therefore went to the store and bought my own bleach, to prove it was indeed mold. Here are the before and after photos... The clean white is after I cleaned my own shower. Even after they knew it was mold, shower walls were not cleaned in subsequent days (see additional photos showing residual mold; these photos were taken on day 5, so at no time during this stay were the shower walls properly cleaned). The beds were comfortable, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel, as it was overall an unpleasant stay for all the reasons mentioned.

El edificio y la situación excelentes. El servicio impecable. El buffet de desayuno suficiente, pero debería mejorar la oferta de productos (aunque entiendo que en esta época el bajo número de huéspedes limita, probablemente, esa variedad) y, sobre todo, ¡el café¡, que sea de maquina no significa que deba ser malo.

El hotel está muy bien, pero la habitación no es cómoda, 1 sillón individual, 3 perchas, no haber sitio cerca de la pila para las toallas , en resumen no está acorde a lo que pagas por la habitación

La experiencia bastante buena, solo que en la habitacion habia como un ruido de fondo, como un zumbido, para mi gusto en cojín muy bajo, y en la habitacion no habia ni una botellita de agua. Por lo demas todo muy bien.

Buena, cumple las espectativas.

El edificio está muy bien restaurado. Las vistas al castillo desde las habitaciones es magnífico. La piscina está bien. El desayuno es muy justito y la tortilla estaba mala. La atención del personal es poco profesional. Tampoco son nada simpáticos. Es una lástima que esté tan mal decorado. Se han acumulado muebles de época preciosos sin ton ni son, con mal gusto y ningún sentido de la estética. Ganaría mucho si contrataran un interiorista y quitaran el montón de trastos que tienen repartidos. Los muebles de la habitación también necesitan una actualización

La estancia estuvo muy bien. Habitación cómoda, comida de 10. Hubo un problema a la hora de la facturación, pero quedo resuelto rápidamente.

En general la experiencia fue buena. El hotel estaba muy limpio, tenía muy buenos protocolos de higiene debido al COVID, y el servicio fue muy bueno. Además el restaurante estaba abierto después de las 9pm lo cual se agradece y la comida estaba deliciosa. La única limitante es que tuvimos que reservar dos cuartos a pesar de que somos una familia con dos niñas pequeñas. creo que hay una oportunidad para tener cuartos que reciban a una familia de cuatro.

Gran hotel pero en la habitación falta que las cortinas sean más oscuras. Camas amplias y muy cómodas.

Look at the windmills, the castle on the hill and this is the perimeter of a delightful stay in the middle of nowhere. It is hard to find but it is worth the trip. The food is killer good and the waiters speak English and Spanish. Hooray.

Este hotel nos ha sorprendido. Su aspecto es muy agradable y elegante. Limpio y ordenado. La habitación es amplia. El armario ropero está en el baño, lo.que es inhabitual pero no problemático. De las instalaciones, destaca la piscina, pequeña pero funcional en un día caluroso. Igualmente el spa no es grande pero el circuito mereció la pena. Personal amable; te informan sobre actividades y visitas en la comarca. De forma global, la RCP es buena.

La partie hôtelière bénéficie d'un cadre unique = le palais et ses pierres La partie restaurant n'est pas au niveau tant pour le service que pour les plats Il est difficilement acceptable d'avoir un simple verre de riz au lait pour 7,50€ Je ne reviendrai pas dans cet établissement

Castle View room is Excellent！

En general la estancia ha sido agradable para un hotel de estas características, pero el desayuno fue un poco decepcionante para la categoría del hotel.

Cela aurait pu être parfait vu la beauté de l’etablissement si la 1ère matinée/3 n’avait pas été désagréable ,pas d’eau dans les toilettes et pas d’eau chaude à la douche. La réservation comprenait une vue sur colline et de l’eau à boire gratuite.Nous avons eu une chambre avec vue sur la plaine et en partant on nous a réclamé le paiement de l’eau. Inconcordances entre l’offre et la réalité. Le pire étant chaque fois les réponses des réceptionnistes à nos questions allant jusqu’à leur inamabilité indigne d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.

I was here for 5 nights and slept comfortably in a great room. The hotel has many great areas to lounge in. I enjoyed the food, except was a little disappointed with the paella. I would love to go back. Belmonte is in a lovely area with nice scenery. The hotel has great views of the castle.

Edificio y entorno magnifico. Un lugar con mucho encanto y personalidad.

You don't really expect to find such a high class hotel in a small town like Belmonte. We have been to all the Parador hotels in the Iberian Peninsula and this hotel can match just any of those. This is a former palace that have been restored into an excellent hotel but still have kept its original atmosphere. It's a pity that on our visit day only 3-4 rooms were occupied. We were the only couple at both dinner and breakfast. Belmonte Castle is absolute worth a visit. If someone wants to see the caste, a stay at this hotel is absolutely recommendable.

El pueblo, la región y por supuesto el enclave elegido para la ubicación de este hotel, hacen que la estancia se convierta en algo mágico. No siempre uno puede descansar sobre las ruinas de una construcción del siglo XIV y con las impresionantes vistas del castillo de Belmonte y desayunar en una Profesional atención por parte del personal de recepción y restaurante.

This high-end hotel has been restored and upgraded to four-star standard from an original historic structure; it features exposed archaeological digs in different parts of the establishment. It is located in the small village of Belmonte in the region of Cuenca, Spain. The hotel has a certain grandeur and appears to be mainly used by conference groups, for special events (weddings etc.) and weekend travellers seeking tranquillity in an isolated, resort-style venue. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant featured authentic Spanish cuisine. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was unreliable in some of the rooms during my stay of six days. One disadvantage of the stone walls and unrelentingly hard surfaces in the meeting hall and restaurant was the adverse effect on the acoustics, often making conversation difficult. This could probably be alleviated by utilising soft furnishings such as heavy curtains and wall tapestries (in keeping with the historic theme of the building, of course). Overall a very impressive and excellent hotel.

Lovely stay. Friendly. Comfortable. Easy to access. And just fun. Get a room with a few if you like to wake up to a castle. Great little restaurant if you want a recommendation for s local wine and a dish of suckling pig.

El hotel muy bien pero salvo visitar el castillo no hay muchas más opciones de ocio.

Cadre somptueux dans un ancien palais, mais aucun service dans ce quatre étoiles : pas de service de restauration le soir, ni de room service, la wifi ne fonctionne pas, la climatisation non plus, le petit- déjeuner, très insuffisant (ni jus de fruits, ni fruits, ni yaourts, etc.), a été servi une demi-heure en retard et encore avec du personnel très réticent. Bref, un service vraiment déplorable.

Hotel increíble,. Nuestra habitación con vistas a la terraza y a la colegiata. Mucha tranquilidad y nada de ruidos. Visita obligada a la colegiata y al castillo.

Desayunar en el claustro de un convento que antes fue palacio medieval.

Magnifico hotel. Precioso entorno, estupendas instalaciones. Cama enorme y cómoda. El spa es pequeño y algo caro, 15 €por hora y persona, pero es un lujo. Lo reservaron solo para mi y mi pareja. La piscina es pequeña pero suficiente para refrescarse. Se va andando al pueblo... Esta al lado de la colegiata. Vistas al castillo. Tb está al lado del cementerio pero si tu habitación da a otra parte no te enteras. Las habitaciones amplias y bonitas. Es de los hoteles más bonitos.

Wonderful hotel,very interesting and different ,recently constructed on an old castle which has been incorporated in its construction. Good location to visit Belmonte castle which you can see from the hotel. Only 30 mins drive to Campo de Criptana to see the windmills. There are limited restaurants in the town,but many bars which do a great variety of tapas,in particular try The piscina bar at the municipal swimming pool / park..
