Reviewed Sep 17, 2026I liked the location. There was plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and attentive.
The AC unit was very loud in the room and operated at somewhat random cycles. It kept us awake most of the night. The hotel is a bit dated. There were only two pillows per bed (we had a room with 2 queen beds) which was not as comfortable when propped up to read.

There was unfortunately no elevator, and we had to carry our bags up the stairs. The noise from other rooms in the hallway carried into our room and there was no hand soap; there was every other kind of soap, but no hand soap.

Hotel was right off the highway and the desk clerk advised on several restaurants to eat at.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Acceptable location. Free parking
The rooms are quite small. The air conditioning only works in cooling mode. After a rainy and windy day, it would have been nice to have a heating option. In all the other hotels during our trip, the heating mode was available despite it being summer. Actually there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the system in heaitg mode, making it unusable. The reception staff were unable to help and simply explained that the system would only be cleaned before the winter season. We had a reservation for three people, but the room was prepared for only two guests. There were only two towels and just one small bottle of shampoo/shower gel. There was no hand soap, and the toilet door could not be locked. These small details made the stay less comfortable.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Updated room and partially the bathroom. Online check in really sped up the process.
The room was SO damp, it felt like I was in the tropics, despite the AC. Even the carpet felt wet, I had to wear my shoes inside. The bathroom had a lot of mould. The AC was incredibly loud (but the provided earplugs were helpful). The vents on the AC unit can’t change direction so when the curtains are closed, the air blows behind the curtains rather than into the room. I had to use shoes to press/hold the curtains to the window. When I checked in there were two employees helping one person check in while 3 people waited in line.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026I asked for anything at all that might make this a special stay for my kids because it’s their first trip to another country. I asked this of the 3 hotels we were staying at during our time in Canada and the other two didn’t do anything, which is fine, but you all exceeded expectations. We checked into chocolates and a note in our room and my kids were SO excited. They couldn’t believe that somehow you knew it was their first time in Canada and they LOVED the chocolates. Thank you very much for making their last night in the country very, very special. I also needed to talk to Dora in the morning because all of a sudden the strike shut all the museums and I had no plan for our day in Montreal and she was VERY very helpful. Above and beyond.

Cleanliness
7.9/10Generally praised for very clean rooms and exceptional propreté in several reviews, but occasional issues reported (odd room smells, one reviewer called room cleanliness the worst).
Service
8.1/10Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and supportive (manager moved guests after issues, receptionist praised), though some front-desk limitations were noted regarding technical problems.
Location
8/10Many reviews note convenient location and ample parking; a few guests mentioned poor location for their needs, so overall location is positive.
Room Quality
7/10Mixed: several comments about comfortable beds and well-equipped rooms, but complaints about small rooms, noisy/limited A/C, smell in one room, insufficient towel/shampoo provisioning and slippery bathtub.

7.6/10Useful amenities like free parking, breakfast and basic in-room facilities present; some shortcomings mentioned (weak mini-fridge/freezer, no hand soap, no EV charging, no nearby restaurants).

7.2/10Perceived as budget/cheap option with acceptable value for location and parking, but small room size and some missing supplies lowered perceived value for some guests.
