We were very happy overall with our stay. Clean hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff.

Wifi was slow

Clean and well organized. Also not a huge place, so more comfortable.

The hours. They closed the office early like 8 pm & opened at 9 am. But you could go to the Esso store for help.

Breakfast was okay - tasty but greasy. Could have opted for the 30% discount at the diner though, instead took the breakfast sandwich and crispy has patty. Should have taken the discount.

Proximity to our event

No elevator, did not replenish coffee pods or clean glassware. One of the beds did not have clean sheets (hair present). Ordered breakfast at restaurant 1st morning - waited over 45 minutes, to find out they hadn’t cooked it yet! Couldn’t wait any longer as we had to be at an event.

Nothing it was my sister-in-law that took my booking and she refused to stay there

They didn't have the room i booked. They said they couldn't find my booking , then charged me full price for a room i don't want.

There was insulation hanging out by the door. The bathroom paint was peeling... water damage... my sheets had holes in them..

Hotel is very close to hiway other than that it was good

Old hotel average cleanliness at best. Parking area felt unsecure, police in parking lot most of the evening. Lots of lurkers in area. No dining options nearby to accomodate food allergies when i traveled through. Not the worst but better value up the road.

Jacuzzi was good but there was no shower. The room had several areas that need to be repaired. There was leftover food in our fridge when we arrived.

Breakfast was included with room rate .which was a bonus Toilet seat was broken I thought cleaning staff would have noticed other than that It was okay stay

I needed a room along my route and that fit the bill.

The breakfast was in the Esso station and not part of the Super 8. Walk in the station and got towards the back. Wasn't told that, so I looked lost trying to find it. The room, the last one on the second floor, was a little worn out, and rough.

Property was clean and accommodated our late checkout request.

We arrived early and were allowed to use the room ahead of the time at which the booking said it would be available. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was provided at an adjacent restaurant. The breakfast was good.

Simple motel that was clean and had a quick check-in/check-out process. It’s not the newest, but since it was clean I didn’t mind. Would stay again!

The place was ok, just not something to write home about.

Loved the Great Bear cafe in the store next door for breakfast. The breakfast burritos and hash browns were delicious.

The breakfast really good, I was thinking it was going to be a Continental style breakfast but it was actually at the cafe at the gas station and was fresh and very good

Pillows were too hard. Nice to have a variety for us that like soft pillows. The discount for having a full breakfast seemed unfair.My husband chose the bacon and egg breakfast as he is gluten free.

Very clean and friendly however I specifically booked the jacuzzi suite to enjoy a bath at the end of the day and there wasn’t any hot water for the entire evening.

Hotels is located right beside the highway and it was quiet! The rooms have been renovated and I especially liked that the floors were ceramic tiles. Easier to clean and I am sure have fewer germs. Nice room.

For a small town, close to convenience store, gas and restaurants.

Decent place for a good price

I have stayed in more than oneSuper 8 motels and they were by far better than this one, limited internet, when asked the front end staff why I could not connect there was no explanation but then maybe I wasn’t understood because english wasn’t there first or second language. It served my purpose I was in Smoky Lake for a funeral but next time I will try and find different arrangements. Also very noisy. People running around outside half the night. At one point I didn’t feel safe.

There's no iron and ironing board which is basic for traveller's and so is the microwave.There's not much choices for breakfast and the same everyday considering the price we've paid.The towels are so rough I didn't like the colored,I prefer whites,clean looking and the rubber mat needs changing.

AC was so loud you couldn't hear neighboring guests or highway.

Entire town is dirty and trashy. Motel inside is ok, but outside is bad. Beds were very lumpy. Wifi essentially non-existent.

We were satisfied with our stay. Breakfast is in a small local cafe and staff was friendly.

We showed up for check in and no one was here even though we got here at 9:30 and it said to come before 10. We had to go across the parking lot to the Esso. The parking lot was rowdy and make me nervous. The tv channels didnt work, so we couldnt watch anything.

The staff at the hotel and at the cafe were both very nice and accommodating. The property itself could use some upgrades but the rooms were clean and as expected in a small rural town. One of the doors next door to my room looked like it had recently been kicked in.

Pricing

Nice. Basic but clean and quiet. Breakfast is in the little Bear Cafe. Great choices - good banana bread. Staff were friendly and personable. Clear instructions for breakfast. Staff at the cafe were excellent. Lots of towels, sparkly clean bathtub.

Pro - Staff was excellent to deal with, check in and out was easy and done efficiently. Easily and quickly adressed any requests we had. Con - Room temp was turned all the way down (12 degrees in the winter) when checked in. The electric baseboard heaters take a very long time to warm up the room when its set that low. I understand the conseravtion of energy when the room is not in use, but the room should have been set up accordingly that morning. Overall, would stay there again. :)

My stay was quite delightful honestly. I wasnt expecting a lot since its in a remote location. But overall i would recommend this location. The exterior is dated,but thatbis kind of expected. The room i stayed in was clean and comfortable.

We were very happy to see the remodeling being carried out. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to seeing how much more the improve.

Very run down. Stains on furniture and drapes. Someone had previously kicked the door in and it was never fixed. Door trim was detached from the wall. Definitely needs a remodel.

This motel is definitely for the local trucker or someone passing through. Don’t expect any bells or whistles. Good big comfy bed. Value for money if you are not after an experience or being pampered.

Comfortable beds and nice to have 2 bedrooms and bathrooms and TVs.

Room was clean and nice. Staff were very friendly. Close to everything in town. I was given a coupon for dinner in town, which was great. Good value and service for the rate I was charged which is hard to come by these days!

Room was old, toilet was leaking, bathroom fan that turns on when light is on sounded so loud like it was gonna explode, tv remote was broken, very loud, bed shook when people walked past room, and at 11pm I woke up to the hotel phone ringing to be asked if I drive a black truck or know anyone at the hotel that drives one which was very maddening to be awoke for this when they have a paper you fill out when checking that you say your vehicle make model and licence number.

Free breakfast at the adjacent gas station was nice.

Rooms were cold, kitchenette was not overly clean (old sponge by the sink), greasy counter tops, strong odour.

The bed was super-comfy. Access was close to everything. The convenience store is right there so that's handy. I love the little town and we will be back to stay there next year.

Just that there was only a quarter roll of toilet tissue when we first came, and next day after housekeeping came, we were not given an extra roll. And there is room in the bathroom to add a towel rack (just saying). Also, I know the rooms are small, but only one armchair per room is not comfortable. The computer chair was not good for relaxing and the bed is awkward to just sit back. Some people including me and my husband both, need to have feet on the floor. So the 2 of us alternated. There would be room to add a second chair.

Breakfast was Mediocre!

They offered wifi, but the connection was so poor. For a hotel that’s at remote location with less cars in parking lot I expected a little more.
