Dwight Village Motel

So far so good

Good place to stop on your Algonquin tour

Everything was tip top, just the beds were too soft, but thats just us

Lovely clean and comfortable. Staff very accomodating.Good value for the price. Being right on highway 60 meant that trucks going by were audible but not disturbing.

Very good place to stay.

Was a great experience. Would stay here again.

Nice and clean, bed was a little hard for me but, other than that all was great! I would stay here again.

This was the second time staying at the Dwight Motel. It’s always clean and well kept. The rooms are cute and very clean and air conditioned. Our bed was a little uncomfortable though. We loved the smart tv and Roku for streaming movies. Overall a very nice stay and close to the park. Recommended.

Second time staying here before heading into Algonquin for backcountry camping. Great launching off point to get into the park early. Staff are friendly and have accommodated my late check in each time. Rooms are clean, simple and the price point is spot on.

First time staying at this place and me and wife loved it. Nice, clean, and comfortable. Located perfectly between Huntsville and Algonquin park. You get the best of both worlds. Staff was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Very clean and quiet, exactly as expected

Clean property friendly staff

The rooms were well maintaimed Newell renovated very clean. The staff were friendly, very close to Dwight beach beautiful motel located just off highway 60.

Close to Limberlost

spacious clean rooms. 2 fire pits but need another as 1 was taken over to cook food all night when there are 2 bbqs!

Helpful and friendly staff! Great stay!

Everything was fine. Excatly, what I was expecting. Very nice, family. The young guy there, helped me was the, "Password". I had not needed to perform that duty, for awhile....

very clean and updated

A bit noisy next to the highway but overall clean and a decent place to spend a night

Was a great stay Rooms clean Would stay again

Stayed 2 nights, very comfortable and clean. Looked like the owner took care of it from landscaping outside to making it look clean and new from inside. I would go back there again.

Great stay for a great price! Definitely recommend it!!

Our room was clean and comfortable. The owner was very nice and accommodating. It was very quiet and bigger than a typical room. I would definitely stay there again

Excellent basic room that was clean. Brad checked me in at the front desk. He was warm and friendly.

Clean, safe, reasonable and convenient to Algonquin

We bought 2 rooms but hotel had been reserved only one room. But there was available room and they added.

Room was not only super clean but well appointed. Two picnic areas each with its own gas barbecue and fire pit offers an alternative to finding a restaurant. The television in our room wasn’t the best with audio and channel fibrillation. However, this was far from a deal breaker!. :) Overall a great place that we look forward to coming back to in the winter months for Xcountry skiing and snowshoeing in Algonquin! 😊

Great little motel in a beautiful area. We were looking for a quintessential Canadiana cottage type experience and this was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing followed by an evening in front of the campfire. Great breakfast place at Erika’s just down the road. Thanks for a great stay!

The owner and cleaning staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The firepit and horse shoe pit came in handy. Over all we had a nice stay .

Its a great place, easy checked in friendly staff and very clean ... I will definitely come back

Great location less than an hour away from Algonquin Park. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. Brad is super responsive.

Clean and accommodating. Great little gem.

We stayed for two nights, the owner was super friendly and made our check in a breeze We asked about ice, he didn’t have a machine, but ran into town and grabbed us a bag Community fire pit had tons of wood and seething and the bbqs were convenient

The rooms felt very dated and tired. We didn't realize that there wouldn't be any house keeping which was really upsetting for us. The staff was otherwise lovely and it is in a very convenient location.

Pro: Nice, quiet motel. Clean rooms. Con: No reception at 8:30 PM

Dwight village motel. Owner very friendly , clean and quiet. Perfect lical for jumping off to Algonquin Park. The boiler room restaurant great and only 3 km away.

Nice, quiet place ,not too fancy but convenient.

Quiet location with comfortable rooms. Close access to hiking trails. I would come back again.

Very nice and clean motel. Well kept. The location is convenient. The room was simple and spacious. Nice picnic tables and chair on site. We recommend staying here.

We had a great visit and loved the campfire pit located on the property. Access to a barbecue also a bonus!!

Good

the only thing was the tv was a little far ftom the bed they could have made it easier to watch. But the place is really cool theres fire pits barbecue s for prople lots of places to sit around outside. Not just this place everyplace along the highway they have picture windows to the parkinglot and the back window was small but there was a beautiful forest behind the place..But luckily this place has a nice front yard and a nice view of the woods across the road..Its close to Huntsville which is very cool just 13 mins away.Theres a lake just around the bend with a boat ramp nice big lake. Algonquin park west gate entrance was15 min East and its a senic drive wherever you go around there. They were cool at checkout let me stay a little extra for free.He offererd they were not real busy.If i ho to Halliburton wildlife to see the wolves again I will stay there. Its a bit of z drive from there to Haliburton but it really beutiful all through the land of lakes .On a motercycle it would be also a nice ride lots of places to stop for drinks and food .

Very clean.

called ahead letting them know i'd be coming past their check-in time. they were friendly and accommodating and had no problem letting me arrive at nearly 10pm. i've stayed here once before and had a great experience last time as well. the motel is clean and tidy and being able to have a fire at their pits at night will always bring me back.

Picked the place due to its high rating and it did not disappoint - cute exterior and clean rooms (beds, floor, bathroom). Webster’s Beacon, a grocery/café 3 km east (open till 7pm), sells yummy warm sandwiches and pizza.

The great reviews are true - this place is fantastic! Clean, renovated bathroom, comfortable beds, extremely close to the gorgeous Dwight Beach, quiet and peaceful despite being by the road, and a lovely drive away from Algonquin Park’s West Gate. We would definitely go back!

Great place for a good night’s sleep before entering the park for a canoe trip.

Perfect location if doing some hiking in Algonquin.

Stayed here overnight before an Algonquin canoe trip. Front desk was very friendly and beds were comfy!! Exactly what we needed.

I haven’t stayed in a motel for. Over 10 years but I would go back to this place in a great beat. Very clean and comfortable.

A small, independent family-run motel. When we’re travelling, my wife and I tend to avoid this type of property because, in our experience, the cons far outweigh the pros… We chose this property because it worked with the timing of our travel plans. We figured that one night in a ‘motel’ wouldn’t hurt too much… Boy, were we wrong! The Dwight Village Motel far exceeded our expectations. In fact, we were so comfortable and so relaxed that instead of leaving at 8:30 AM (as we had planned), we stuck around until almost 11:00 AM. In short, without hesitation or reservation, I recommend the Dwight Village Motel to everyone.

Dwight Village Motel is a quiet spot off Highway 60 with a place to read and have a cup of coffee in the morning and sit around a campfire in the evening. The owners are onsite and are very helpful, ensuring the facility is clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Clean & well kept. We had a wonderful time.

.

It appears clean and they are very friendly however there is a musty smell and possibly mold in the room we where in - we where they for two hours and I had to leave due to breathing problems from the air in the room - it was late and couldn’t get ahold of anyone at the front as they where sleeping because it was 11pm not a place I can stay again we had to go into Huntsville and book another motel not very happy at all

Very good. Office closed at various times. Somewhat over priced.

feeling comfortable like at home

We did not see a moose this year! Can't really blame the motel for that! it was all good.

Lovely property, very clean and comfortable. Loved having the use of horseshoe and fire pits. Would definitely stay here again. 😊

Wonderful stay! Thank you!

Rooms are spotless and charmingly decorated. There are BBQs and picnic tables at each end of the motel property and fire pits and firewood available. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the stars. We had a good quiet night of peaceful sleep.

Great location with kind staff, and very clean.

Room was extremely clean and neat. Very pleasant decor. Would definitely stay there again.

Just as described.

The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. This was a perfect spot for me to stage before going into the backcountry for a week.

Our stay was delightful. Staff did everything possible to make us comfortable. The hotel is a gem, well maintained and updated with love and creativity.

Close to Algonquin park and food options, clean and comfortable, Dwight Village Motel is a great choice when you're in the area.

Very clean and neat at a good price . 20 minutes to the algonquin park. Excellent place to stay and will visit again.

The room was recently renovated (from top to bottom.) The photos are misleading to me because you can't tell if the rooms have not been renovated but they are totally renovated and I loved the retro-cottage aesthetic. Everything was easy and they took my needs into account. I also thought their staff showed a lot of pride in the motel.

Nice stay

Great !

Great location off the 60. Really nice little motel, very clean, with some nice amenities (like horseshoes, BBQ's, fire pit).

Our stay was amazing. Everyone at the motel was super nice and just beyond helpful. Very clean and maintained. Our kids loved the stay and had the best time.

Very welcoming, clean and well-maintained.

Clean room and adequate for a motel room. Very friendly staff and smooth check in process. My only complaint is that the air quality within the room was really bad. Perhaps the air filter in the AC units needs to be changed? We were very congested within the room, but felt fine outdoors. We had to turn off the AC unit and leave the window open instead. (for reference, this has never happened to us before)

The town of Dwight is super cute and soo close to Algonquin Park. The village motel is a clean, friendly place to stay with a space to BBQ and have a fire. I would come back for sure.

Area was perfect to stay in. Only complaint was the bathroom was too small.

The staff is super friendly and the cottage is cute and clean. Wonderful playground for the kiddos and 5 mins from the beautiful Dwight beach. We loved our stay here.

Primitive cottage-style interior, but very clean.

Play set for kids very nice sitting area out side 2 fire pits with free firewood to use and 4 full size bbq with propane this place has a cottage feel not motel and thats great

Clean, cute, and well maintained, this property is an excellent value for the price. We appreciated being able to use the barbecues to cook dinner. Easy check in and very friendly people. We would stay again if we were in the area!

The motel is very well located and extremely clean.

Clean and renovated rooms. Friendly staff. Good location.

We liked that it was clean Until we saw cockroaches and other bugs In the room

The room was very clean and cute. The lady at front desk was very kind and informative.

Nice place- clean- great location for visiting Algonquin.

First time ever staying in a motel and what a lovely experience it was!! The room was clean and comfortable and enough room for a family of 4. Also enioyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pits that were on site. Perfect location to stay when discovering Algonquin Park (if you dont want to camp) and super close to Dwight beach which we loved. Would happiky stay here again :)

Perfect place to stay near Algonquin park 👌 It was my second stay and would back there again vary soon

The staff were friendly and informative. The rooms are clean and have everything you would need (fridge, microwave). We loved the fire pit and free wood available! The rooms were cozy and this was more like a cottage or a lodge than a motel. Will definitely be back!

Quiet remote setting is lovely. Owners friendly and accommodating. Room clean, fresh, updated and in good repair.

Great location, very welcoming and helpful staff who were happy to give recommendations for breakfast and dinner. Room was good.

Great location - close to Algonquin Provincial Park and a lovely cafe next door.

Could not have asked for a more enjoyable stay. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable.

Very homely, warm, clean and comfortable room. All facilities including good WiFi. Quiet remote location in the countryside but only 5 mins from the Lake.

Friendly staffs. There are a small play ground for kids and camp fire places in the property! Our kids had fun.

Its nice and quiet place and the owners reslly care about their Motel.

Perfect To stay in algonquin parc of around
