Reviewed Jun 6, 2026The best thing about the hotel was that the freezer unit worked surprisingly well and actually froze bottles of water to use in the extreme heat! Before I knew that, I asked if bottles of water and our freezer pack could be put in the hotel freezer, and there was no problem with that. Parking was adjacent and ample. The rooftop terrace was attractive.
The shower spray seemed to have a life of its own, spraying water everywhere! It was very frustrating that there was NO place to put used towels, no hooks on the wall or the back of the door, etc. We had never experienced having NO staff member at the front desk for more than 24 hours before. We wanted to ask questions, but couldn't. A number was provided to call, but that didn't help us with our phone plan. We tried the free breakfast on one of the three mornings and found the toasted egg sandwiches too cold for our taste. It was good that it also included fresh fruit and a salad, however.

晚上告訴櫃枱外勞員工，說我們住的803房間，沒冷氣，就算搖控器調到18度，但冷氣溫度依然停在27和28度，也不幫忙去房間看，衹拿支電風扇給我們吹，整晚熱到睡不著。 也問冰箱不冷，也回答不出所以然，隔天早餐問其他遊客，才知要多按個開關，冰箱才能運轉，唉～

Très bon petit déjeuner (sur roof top au plateau en semaine et buffet très fourni au sous sol le week-end quand l’hôtel est plein) Sans voiture, accessibilité sans problème de Taichung via un uber. Assez proche des restaurants, du lac…

Reviewed Mar 12, 2026Location was excellent - minutes walking distance to all the stores, restaurants, street market and pier. Large rooms and comfortable beds along with a great selection of food for breakfast (congee, rice, bread, eggs, vegetables, fresh fruit, and varied drinks).
The rooms had a musty odour and this was coming from the washroom where the grout in some areas were mildewed and growing a variety of mold species.

Mold in the room and shower room. Carpet and sofa in the room seems old and not clean. Smelly wardrobe. Bed keep moving because there is wheels under the bed. Breakfast could be better. We can hear people talking outside of the room.

We were there during the off season and I think there was only one other couple besides ourselves but, it was difficult to check in and out as there was no one manning the front desk. We had to try to communicate with the help staff who was Indonesian and really didn't know the check in and out operations.
