We had a lovely stay. The rooms were unique, the service was impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended:)
Location, staff, and amenities all exceeded our expectations for a small B&B. Jason and all his staff are very caring and helpful no matter what questions we asked. Our room, the Garden Room, was perfect for two with very quiet environs. Breakfasts were excellently prepared and delicious. Location is very central to Old Bangkok. We enjoyed walking to attractions to get a 'street feel'. Plenty of nearby restaurants. We walked a lot and never felt unsafe. Jason and staff always inquired about our plans and helped with taxi or other transportation suggestions. The overall value of our stay was excellent. The vibe of the Inn is ' eclectic Old Bangkok' and we loved it.
We had an amazing time at this Inn. Everything was perfect. The staff, location, breakfast and rooms were all top notch! The best part of all was the complementary bike tour which was truly a highlight of our trip. Thanks to Jason and a wonderful staff for taking such good care of us.
Perfect located to visit Bangkok. Special place with individual rooms. We also enjoyed the bycicle tour at night 😊 Thank you for your very warm welcome.
We spent our first two nights in Bangkok at the Old Capital Bike Inn and could not have found a better location for the start to our Thailand holiday. Our loft room was beautiful, as was the whole hotel, which featured cool decor and design. But what stood out most was the warmth, friendliness and knowledge of the wonderful staff (Pat, PK and the others), who went above and beyond in their desire to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A truly sublime experience that we will never forget. Thank you so much. We will definitely be coming back when we next return to Bangkok.
Beautiful, charming hotel in old city Bangkok, great location to visit multiple attractions in the city. Jason and staff were wonderful hosts with many great recommendations on sights to be seen and restaurants to eat at. we had the queen loft which included a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. had the addition of a bike tour hosted by Jason, which was educational and interesting and topped it all off with wonderful breakfasts in the morning. Highly recommend this place!
Great hosts Adam and team. Good location. Good choice and quality for breakfast Beds comfy. Great air con
We were really lucky that we stayed in Bankgok in Old Capital Bike Inn. Really warm en personal place to stay. Jason and the rest of the staff were so friendly, helpfull and personal. In addition the breakfast is also really good en we liked the rooms and the 'boutique' atmosphere, it is not a big hotel, but really personal. GO THERE!!
We had a lovely stay! Very nice and cozy rooms and incredibly frendly and helpful staff! Thank you!
What an absolute gem! I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It is a small boutique hotel in the heart of old Bangkok, within easy walking distance of the Khao San Road area and the ferries on the Chao Phraya River; you can also walk to a canal boat which takes you down into the Siam Square area of modern Bangkok. From the minute you step through the door, you feel so welcome. The little personal touches are so appreciated. The staff talk to you about your plans, make recommendations and ask you about your day when you return; they really could not be more helpful. The decor is gorgeous, with rooms feeling more like a home than a hotel. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful and there is a lovely pool in a nearby hotel which you can use for a small fee. If you stay a certain number of nights and book direct, there may be an offer of a free spa treatment - we got 2 free Thai massages which were at a lovely spa.
Lovely 3 night stay - hotel could not do enough and great location - loved the pillows x
personal touch was appreciated lovely staff and delicious breakfast and if you like seeing a city from a bike. Attentive staff available all hours of day.
Great stay in the heart of old Bangkok. Extremly friendly and helpfull staff. Much more than we expected. Breakfast was wonderfull and the bike tour with Jason is highly recommendable.
A sweet little place with nice, helpful staff, they go out of their way to help. Make sure you sign up for the night bike ride. Location is not super close to things, but the area is walkable especially along the canal near the inn and walkable to the river boat and temples. Really good breakfast to start your day. Rooms are clean and comfortable, fun interesting decor. The loft has a steep narrow stair to get down from the bed to bathroom, a word of caution if you have limited mobility.
The staff at Old Capital Bike Inn were absolutely amazing - they treated everyone like family. The accommodations were ultra clean and the bed was super comfortable. There are quite a few (free) breakfast options and the meals were delicious. OCBI was close to everything we wanted to see. The king loft room has some steep stairs to navigate which might make it a bit more challenging for guests with limited mobility but these weren’t a big issue for us (elderly) guests. The OCBI team added all the special touches for a great stay - great touring/dining recommendations, suggestions for navigating some Bangkok's more challenging stops, and even best places to catch the beautiful sunsets. I can't wait to go back and consider a different room, just to see/enjoy what the other spaces look like.
Amazing, small hotel in the heart of Bangkok, beautifully designed, awesome staff (they even managed to get one of our phones back that we lost in a cab), excellent breakfast, complimentary bicycle tour,... my #1 choice in Bangkok 😊💯 Jason & team - you rock!
Jason and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location is near several temples in the “old city”. There is a pool available for use which is great on hot days and when you need a break. They left little gifts in your room, offered a free fabulous bike ride through the city at night, and provided tons of suggestions where to go and what to see. They did it with an attitude of warmth and hospitality that you don’t see anymore.
We had a great stay. Jason and his staff were so kind and helpful. We highly recommend staying at OCBI!
Small rooms but comfortable. staff are very friendly. Breakfasts are great. Walkable to markets and restaurants.
Amazing! Quirky, intriguing, friendly, convenient & comfort….what more could you ask? My sister and I only had one complaint - that we hadn’t booked to stay for longer!
Exceptional customer service, even helped with birthday surprise for wife, and great advice for exploring city. Great location for walking and amazing breakfast. We stayed while there was construction out front on road. Room soundproofing worked great and we had wonderful stay.
We stayed here for one night before our flight home from Bangkok and honestly, we wish it had been longer! From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was incredible. Every part of the hotel felt so thoughtfully designed – it’s such a beautiful place and has such a calm, special atmosphere. One of the sweetest touches was the little fish in the plant vases on each table – such a unique and thoughtful detail that really made the space feel alive and different from anywhere else we’ve stayed. The staff were absolutely amazing – so warm, welcoming and attentive without ever being overbearing. They genuinely made our short stay feel so memorable. Breakfast was another highlight – so delicious with plenty of choice and everything beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to start our last day. We also loved that the hotel offers a free bike tour, which is such a brilliant extra touch. We didn’t get the chance to take part as we were only there for one night, but it’s such a lovely idea and gives us even more reason to come back. Even though it was just a quick stop before heading home, it was the perfect way to end our trip. We will definitely be back – and next time for longer!
We were on Honey Moon and booked the Honey Moon Suite. Jason, Pat and the full team were just extraordinary, from check-in, special welcome and decoration in the room, amazing and delicious breakfast, and, last but no least, a perfect location easy to enjoy with the bikes at night! Thanks a lot team, you made our honey moon unforgettable!
One of the best hotels i have ever been... From the very first moment, you feel at home. If Bangkok is the city of angels, then the employees are the angels. Thx for everything!!! PS: The evening bike ride was great - thx Jason!!!
Amazing Stay at the Old Capital Bike Inn. Jason and staff were so arm and welcoming. We did the bike tour our first night with MU (?spelling) and it was a great way to get to know our city. Even though there was construction going on the nights were quiet and it was not disruptive at all. All of Jason's recommendations' from the massage to restaurants were spot on and within walking distance. We left very early (5 AM) for our next destination and they had coffee and toast ready for us ! Would give OCBI our highest recommendation!
Cutest Hotel! Short stay but I will book again on my next trip. If you like old charm this is for you.
We loved our stay at Old Capital Bike Inn - it really felt like a home-away-from-home. Our room was comfortable and we had plenty of space to stretch out. The breakfasts were amazing! And the free bike tour is great - the city is so peaceful at night.
What a wonderful stay . Location was great in Old Town Bangkok ,within walking distance of many attractions . The accommodation was quirky and beautiful and the staff couldn't have been more helpful . The vintage bike ride was one of the highlights of our trip . Well done to Jason and his team for creating a peaceful haven , thank you for looking after us so well .
We loved this boutique hotel. The service was splendid and the staff friendly and helpful. The decor was so clever as they used salvaged doors and pieces from old ruins. We were able to walk to many places without having to rely on transportation.
What a gem of a place. We lucked out finding this: location, vibe, staff - it ticks all the boxes. And the breakfast is EPIC. And if you book direct you get a free massage. Winning
Our time at Old Capital Bike Inn was truly special. From the time of our arrival to the moment of our departure we were met with generous hospitality, wonderful accommodations, delicious food and thoughtful service. The night bike tour was a highlight of our time in Bangkok and is not to be missed. The graciousness of our hosts made us feel welcomed, right at home, and so comfortable. We highly recommend the Old Capital Bike Inn and will plan to stay there on our next visit to Bangkok.
My two teen boys and I stayed at the inn Jan 2026 and had a great time. The location is very central, and you can easily walk to many of Bangkok's sites. The inn is charmingly decorated with odds and ends and artwork; you can tell a lot of thought has been put into the spaces. We stayed in the family suite and, while the space was small, it was perfect for the three of us (again, teen boys so that is saying something). We took advantage of the breakfasts in the AM and those were delicious. Finally, we cannot say enough good things about Jason and his staff; they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and able to enjoy Bangkok. Any question we had they were there to help. I also cannot recommend the bike tour enough. My 11-year-old had the best time, and Jason was very patient with him and all his questions while also making us feel safe navigating Bangkok on bikes. A fantastic stay and wonderful value. We will definitely go back to Bangkok and will certainly stay here again.
Loved our stay here! Great location, good breakfast choices, quaint and quirky boutique hotel, friendly staff. With those little additional touches that make the stay special. Thanks!
Super friendly and personal service. Great staff with good recommendations. Well located within the old town, would stay again!
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Old Capital Bike Inn. We were charmed by its unique and nostalgic decor and loved its very convenient location, with easy access to interesting areas and different forms of public transport. However what makes this place a genuine stand-out is the incredible care and warmth and heart that Jason and his team put in to looking after their guests. From the tasty breakfasts, to the expertly curated recommendations, and the daily personal touches which let you know that you are a welcome guest, this is an outstanding example of hospitality in a country already renowned for being incredibly welcoming.
I booked the Old Capitol Bike Inn many months in advance. It is a very popular historic Inn in Old Bangkok. My granddaughter and I appreciated the transportation that they arranged (and directions they provided by email) to get us from the airport to the Inn. The Inn offers unique and charming decorative touches. Our room was perfect and very quiet, even though there was construction in the area. The beds were so very comfortable too. Breakfast selections were authentically Thai and delicious. We sampled all the offerings over our 4-day stay and every item was well prepared, presented creatively, and served with care and attention by the friendly and professional owner and staff. I will always fondly rememberJason the Inn’s owner. He is intelligent, personable, and multi-skilled. The staff that work for him speak so highly of his competence and integrity—a genuine testimony to his many qualities. Upon reading reviews about the Inn’s concierge services, it was the right decision for us to wait until we arrived to book activities. The Inn’s staff offered expert advice that we acted on; we enjoyed and appreciated all of the suggestions. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the guided evening bike tour—that was so very special. We were never disappointed with what they suggested. If we return to Bangkok, we will definitely stay at the Old Capitol Bike Inn. We have already spread the word to fellow travelers on our current tour around Thailand about this wonderful gem in Old Bangkok. Thank you Jason and staff; we will remember you always. 😊👍 We are so grateful that you made our stay in Bangkok memorable!
Fantastic experience. The location is really convenient to explore the old town where the main attractions are. The highlight is the tour Jason takes the guests aro no the old town at night. It was an amazing night.
Everything was perfect starting from the generous breakfast to the honeymoon suite and the outside bath tub. The staff was kind and very attentive to our needs.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Old Capital Bike Inn. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel genuinely welcome, and the whole place has such a warm, cozy vibe. The quirky decor gives it so much personality and makes it feel like a true home away from home. The dining and sightseeing suggestions were impeccably curated: insightful, personalized, and far beyond the usual guidebook tips - allowing us to experience the city in a much more meaningful way. The free bike tour was a highlight and a really fun way to experience Bangkok. The complimentary breakfast was a real standout: generous, delicious and clearly prepared with care. After busy days in the city, it was always comforting to come back here. A truly special place with heart, we’d stay again in a heartbeat
We had such a wonderful stay at OCBI and it truly telt like home. Every detail was thoughttully done from the beautiful room to the delicious breakfast that we looked forward to each morning. What made our stay extra special was the amazing staff. Everyone was so kind, warm and genuine and they always went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Our experience was so good that we almost canceled our other hotel booking in BKK just to stay at OCBI again. Sadly they were already fully booked. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Bangkok and will always remember how special our time here was.
The staff at this place was very friendly and very helpful. They offered help and tips. Breakfast is lovely, with the fresh fruit especially welcome. The room was a great generous space. It is not the standard corporate type hotel, it has much more character and if ever we come back to Bangkok this is where we will stay!
A wonderful oasis in the heart of the metropolis. The accommodation is furnished with great attention to detail and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A very delicious breakfast awaits you. We stayed in the Family Suite and thank you for the fantastic stay.
Beautiful room, amazing staff who were so kind and helpful, and a great location! It felt like coming home every day. I will definitely come back next time. :-)
This hotel was so wonderful, they take great care of you. We booked because of the reviews and you should too! Clean, safe, welcoming. Every worker is happy to be there and you can tell. Wonderful experience. No ask is too big for them. Also they have a laundry service available and it is very reasonably priced. Loved their special touches , thoughtful owners and staff.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The room was great and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was done and the staff could not do enough for us We would like to thank them all for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend them and the area. So close to everything.
Authentic and charming stay, made exceptional by the lovely and knowledgeable staff. From the moment of arrival, we were welcomed by the calm and warmth from Deefly. Offered a refreshing welcome drink and delicious snack and given a moment to adjust to the surrounds. The gentle recommendations were invaluable, with the pad Thai restaurant shown on the provided map (Thip Sami) being absolutely one of the best we’ve had in Bangkok! The room had a beautiful rustic charm, with comfortable bed and plenty of room for relaxing if needed. You felt as though your experience and wellbeing were at the heart of this stay, with even small gifts and a note left on your bed each day! Breakfast was plentiful with almost a starter main, dessert as an option and it was delicious too, even takeaway breakfast was provided to us on an early departure. A little care is needed on the stairs to the room as no banister and you do need to carry luggage as no lift, but the creaks and quirks add to the charm Hotel is located walking distance to temples and Kho San Road Honestly one of the best and most personal stays we’ve had. Thank you
This was my second time at Old Capital, and it’s truly a gem in the old quarter. The staff is friendly and will make your stay perfect. Beds are comfy, breakfasts varied and plentiful, quiet, safe, and other than a little spotty internet, I highly recommend!
Location is great, short walk to a main thoroughfare Everything was spot on Price, staff, room , breakfast Book now!! Hotel booked our tax’s to and from the hotel/airport Quirky, creaky and old, old Bangkok through and through
We really enjoyed our stay here and we were made very welcome by Jason and the team. Its a really quirky hotel and in a good location. Breakfast was spot on and they catered for all our needs. The staff were very knowledgeable of the area and the sights to visit and helped us navigate our way round. Would recommend to friends and family.
Wonderful place, with incredibly helpful staff. Quiet, in spite of work going on outside- don't be put off by this (I had a room facing the road). Would definitely come back.
The OCBI is the best place to start experiencing the central old town. Beautiful rooms and most lovely team and owner!!!
I recently stayed at the Old Capital Bike Inn and it was such a wonderful surprise! As soon as I walked through the front door it as though I was a guest staying at someone’s house. The staff was warm and welcoming and ready to make suggestions about things to do in old Bangkok. The decor was “old world” full of charm and history. I stayed in the garden suite which was furnished with beautiful antique furniture and style. Each time I returned to my room from a day of sightseeing there would be a personal note and a little gift left on my bed, what a lovely touch! The breakfast menu had many choices and the two breakfasts I had were delicious. I can’t speak more highly of this wonderful hotel. Thank you to Jason and his wonderful staff for making my stay so memorable, I hope to return in the not too distant future to experience this wonderful place again! Thank you…….. Lyn from Australia
Quirky, interesting and vibrant atmosphere. Loved the atmosphere and vibe of the decor. Great staff. So helpful. Well located. Easy access to all the Old City attractions. Only stayed one night but would definitely stay again when next in Bangkok.
We stayed for two nights & would highly recommend. Staff were great, really attentive & helped us plan our time in Bangkok. Special thanks to Patty and her recommendations! The room had everything we needed & was kept well / really clean. Breakfast was also great
We loved our stay at Old Capital Bike Inn in Bangkok! It’s a charming, quirky hotel with a big heart. The staff are genuinely interested in making your stay the best it can be, with great tips on getting around, food, sightseeing, etc. Their hospitality really made our stay memorable. Be sure to join the free nighttime bike tour for a unique perspective of this interesting city. Breakfasts are also pretty fabulous. We’re still dreaming of the chicken satay and waffles! We would definitely stay here again when we visit Bangkok.
We loved our stay, thanks, mainly, to the lovely and very helpful team, but also to the good music, the nice atmosphere, the delicious breakfasts, and the cosy, comfortable and clean rooms. The evening bike tour was one of the highlights of our trip! We didn't mind the road work currently ongoing in the street and would not hesitate to come back again. A huge thank you to the team for making our stay memorable!
You never know when you book other than plain vanilla, even then you can face surprises. In this case however, you will find nothing but warmth, charm, and comfort. Everyone is so friendly and they are happy to answer questions, and do anything you ask to make your stay great. If you are staying on a night of a nighttime bicycle tour, take the tour. It introduces interesting areas and provides interesting history. Don’t worry, it’s an easy safe ride. Frankly, so far, The Old Capitol Bike Inn is my favorite place I’ve stayed while in Thailand.
An authentic venue in the very centre of the old capital, within walking distance or short tuk-tuk ride from the main historical places. The breakfast was particularly good and the staff more than helpful!
We just stayed at the Old Capital Bike Inn and it was wonderful. It’s a small hotel so you get a lot of personal attention. They do a night bike tour of the flower markets and they are close to a number of tourist sites. When we didn’t have anything planned, Jason would give us a perfect recommendation for the day or evening. Every time they made up our room they left a small card wishing we had a nice day with a small gift. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had while in Bangkok, I’ve already recommended it to friends and family.
This hotel is not only quaint and wonderful but everyone working here is incredibly helpful and friendly. Jason was helpful from the first communication and it continued throughout our stay. All of the staff were very personable and welcoming from our initial welcome upon arriving to helped with getting our missing bikes from the airlines, with great restaurant suggestions, sightseeing and helping arrange our our journey offing fantastic suggestions for future destinations. Absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend to anyone.
This is one of the most incredible hotels we have ever stayed at, and easily the best in Thailand by a long stretch - it is beautiful, very centrally located for the historic sites and the staff are always helpful, even going as far as to provide us with a list of recommendations for all of the other places we were visiting in Thailand, and also ensuring that we had a takeaway breakfast ready to go for our early morning flight. A particular highlight was the bike tour with Jason. If you are staying in Bangkok, this is an exceptional place to stay and we would 100% recommend.
This hotel is an absolute gem in Bangkok. The service is absolutely exceptional, and the owners and staff were the most hospitable and helpful that we have ever come across. The location is perfect to access all the attractions of Old City Bangkok - we would absolutely recommend it for travelling families like ours.
Jason and his staff were absolutely on point so friendly and helpful! We stayed in the honeymoon suite and adored its antique, rustic, and cozy vibe. Our son especially loved the bath out the back. Breakfast was delicious, bed was comfy, and the pool next door was gorgeous serving up the best coconut smoothie ever. Jason gave us some great recommendations, and we truly loved our stay. He provided great transfers too. It really felt like a home away from home. Thank you for a wonderful experience! —Skye, Simon, and Jude from Western Australia
I loves it very cozy the stuff is super friendly and the breakfast is great. Will definitely come back and recommend. It was very clean and welcoming. Pay attention that some of the rooms have stairs so it might not fit to certain people.
Female solo traveler, Amazing service! Breakfast was delicious and they offer a vegan option. The bed and linens are comfortable. I slept really well. I felt safe walking in this area at night. Im very happy with my stay here and would recommend this hotel.
Jason and the capital inn staff made us feel like family. The warmth and concern for every aspect of our trip is so rare these days. It’s so Hard for a guest inn to maintain really empathy traveler after traveler after traveler… seeing them interact with other guests, we weren’t alone. I hope they don’t become too popular, because we’ll return!! And the vintage furnishings, bikes and wonderful breakfast just added to our delight!
The staff are wonderful. So helpful and breakfast was excellant. I'm vegan so was excited that they had delicious vegan options. The bed and linens were comfortable, sort of Japanese style low to the floor. I like this style of bed and feel it's a much more natural way of sleeping. I slept very well during my stay. I had an early flight, a staff member aarranged a takeaway breakfast. The shower was heavenly. Nice and warm with plenty of water. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. I had a loft room which I absolutley loved. But if I had been traveling with my husband who has health issues affecting his knees and feet this would not have been a good room due to the stairs. Oh and I almost forgot, they have bikes to borrow. And they do a free bike tour twice a week. I regret not taking advantage of this.
Staying at the Bike Inn is always such a treat. Jason and his team are so wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and super comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfast is amazing. Sad to leave every time, but I'll be back soon.
This was our first time visiting Thailand and we felt so welcome and well looked after. We had a 24 hour journey to get to Bangkok, so we were exhausted on arrival to the hotel. The refreshing towels, welcome drink and snack was absolutely what we needed! Jason and the team are so friendly and full of local information and suggestions. Sadly we only spent two nights here as we had an onward journey, but our stay was exceptional. The room was comfortable, the breakfasts are absolutely phenomenal, location very convenient and the little gifts were much appreciated. We were able to leave our luggage after checking out so we could explore more of Bangkok before heading to our train. The offer of a refreshing shower when we collected our luggage later was so thoughtful. Old Capital Bike Inn knows how to do Thai hospitality really well. If we’re ever in Bangkok again, this will definitely be our hotel of choice again. Thank you Jason and all the staff, we loved our stay and appreciated all you did.
Superb rooms and brilliant staff . Lost in time and full of charm . The rooms are fantastic and free bike hire is handy. Close to nightlife too
Beautiful small hotel, with fantastic staff and service. They do upmost to give you a fantastic stay. The breakfast is created with love
This is a very atmospheric period property that oozes charm of a bygone age. The owners are very attentive and cook breakfast to order, which include both Thai and international options. There are some roadworks across but there was no noise coming into our room which was facing the Main Street because the owner installed soundproof windows. The owners were keen to advise about places to go and restaurants to visit, which were really good. I would definitely come again!
My adult daughter and I spent three nights in the twin room. It’s a unique and thoughtfully run inn. We were very comfortable in our 1st floor room and could have spent more time there - but there was so much to do :) The inn is a great base to explore from. We used a lot of public transport (boat and bus). We loved the made to order breakfast, the massage, and while I’d recommend doing the evening bike tour when you start your stay, it was a real treat to revisit the old town by night before flying out the next morning. Warm thanks to the very attentive team.
Great hotel, full of personality, super proactive staff. Happily go there again if I’m ever in Bangkok. Amazing breakfast too!
The staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating during our time staying at the Inn. It’s well situated, close to several famous sites, the breakfasts are amazing, and the bike tours are great fun. The family room is also perfect for a family of adults and kids.
We had a lovely four night stay here on our first visit to Bangkok. The staff were a stand out, so helpful and friendly, gave great suggestions for places to visit and transport options - we used canal boats, river ferries and the MTS Skytrain. We stayed in the garden suite which was lovely, if slightly cramped with two big suitcases, but quiet and comfortable. It’s a great area to stay with lots of attractions within walking distance or via Grab. It took our taxi two hours to get to the airport on an early Friday evening so plan well ahead! All in all, highly recommended and thanks to Jason and crew.
An amazing quirky boutique hotel - great location for exploring Old City but also a short walk to canal boats straight into City central. Jason and his team were very attentive, uber helpful and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The evening bike ride and breakfast were particular highlights. Thank you - we will highly recommend. x
It has been written that Bangkok is a rush of gold and grit, spice and smoke, chaos and charm — a city you don’t just see, you feel it in your pulse. I hated Bangkok for the first couple of hours, but after our two-day visit, I ended up loving it. We are so pleased to have stayed here. It should be a secret..... The Inn has been in the same family for many generations, and we enjoyed its small boutique size, beautiful vintage décor, and comfortable rooms. The owner, Jason, and his amazing team looked after us like family. They were always on hand with a smile, and please don't miss their scrumptious breakfasts. They suggested some great restaurants for the evening and took time to share ideas on what to do during our two-day stay. The service is outstanding, perfect location (don't be put off by the building work outside, as it didn't affect our sleep or stay in any way). I follow Kosnio on Facebook. Short clips of the slow, hidden Bangkok, and staying at this gem is much like his work - it's like stepping back in time into the real old Bangkok. Book and enjoy!!
What a wonderful hotel. Well located to get out and see the sites of Bangkok. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for you. The evening bike tour with Jason was fabulous. Would recommend as a pace to stay when you are in that part of the world Great breakfasts !!
Could not recommend this place enough! The staff was so warm and welcoming and there were so many personal touches which made it feel like home. Breakfast is also incredible. A beautiful stay and experience, would absolutely book again!
It was an amazing experience from the moment you get off the curb from your taxi. The hospitality was a 100! The warmth with which the team dealt with us was so nice and comforting. Adding to that, the space is designed and curated in a lovely manner. So creative and culturally rich. I am coming back for sure.
This inn is great all around from the rooms to the food to the location. But the real standout quality of this inn is the incredible staff. Jason and his team went above and beyond during our stay. They were friendly, extremely accommodating, and always ready with helpful tips. Highly recommend!!
Booked on the basis of the great reviews. It’s such a quirky place. Despite the roadworks, it’s a great location. Easy to walk to lots of restaurants, Khaosan Rd and the river for the boats. Excellent advice given on what to do, places to eat etc. Breakfast was superb and lots of it. We also enjoyed having a drink at the bar. The complimentary message was also excellent. My husband took advantage of the evening bike ride which he really enjoyed. Can recommend The Family for an evening meal. Crazy cheap and superb food. We will definitely stay here when we’re next in Bangkok
Jason and his team were fantastic - we received a really warm welcome on arrival at the hotel and they were super helpful and attentive during our whole stay. The hotel is lovely and quirky and in a great location, and the breakfasts were amazing. We were really pleased with the complementary massage at a nearby spa. Highly recommended!
This is more than accommodation in the old town BKK, this is an experience! From the minute we walked in the door the staff welcomed us in and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Lovely decor, top notch breakfast beautifully presented. Loved our stay!
This was a wonderful quirky place to stay. The staff were so sweet and helpful. The bedroom was lovely with free standing bath and a tiny courtyard. The little cafe at the front was very nice and breakfast was excellent. Staying here was a refreshing change from the big boring hotels in Bangkok
We had a delightful stay at Old Capital Bike Inn. The staff was warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. They were all extremely helpful in helping us plan our site seeing, dinners, and needed transportation. The breakfast was delicious, and we loved the decor of the hotel. We would stay there again and recommend to others traveling to Bangkok.
This place is amazing. Our innkeeper was extremely nice and helpful. Room was awesome for a family and really unique. The breakfast was awesome and included with the room. Very peaceful place cool calming the lobby was a really pretty place. I will stay here anytime I’m in Bangkok.
Loved our stay! Charming, unique and inviting place in a wonderful location within walking distance to the main sites and off-the-beaten-path gems! Tuk tuks and taxis were available anytime you’d want them. The staff members were very friendly, helpful and accommodating from booking to check-out. Highly recommended for couples, families and solo travelers alike. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee shop a few doors down was excellent as well. I thought of adding photos but the ones in the listing are accurate. There was construction that they explained up front and we are so glad that did not deter us. It was never an issue at all. We would definitely stay again.
The most comfortable bed we've ever had in Thailand. Breakfast amazing you won't need lunch. A charming boutiqueness thankyou Jason we'll be back next year
The hospitality at the Old Capital Bike Inn was the best I have ever experienced, anywhere in the world. The room (garden suite) was very comfortable and we weren't disturbed by the construction noise. You could hear it during the day sometimes, but it wasn't that loud. And the owner had warned us of the noise ahead of time, which I appreciated, even though it wasn't an issue for us. I'm glad we chose the garden suite because it had the daybed for my daughter and more room. The room had everything we needed, including drinking water. The only drawback was that the shower is on the smaller size. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Thai doughnuts, and it was lovely taking about 10 steps from our room to breakfast every morning and enjoying a latte or two. There is a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood, but I liked the location. Every time we used Grab, the taxi was there within a few minutes. But we also were able to walk to a lot of the tourist sites, like the Grand Palace.
We only stayed three nights but those were awesome. The hotel is located in Old Town and offers a great starting point to explore bangkok. The hotel itself is cozy, stylish and welcoming. The rooms are super clean and offer everything you could ask for. The breakfast is on another level. Offering something for every taste and prepared with love and care. But the real highlight was the host (jason) and his team, its them who make this place really special. They are genuinely interested in how you are and what you have planned for the day. Staff always had great recommendations and always asked how our plans worked out. Jason even had curated suggestions for other regions in thailand ready as handouts (thats what I call dedication). From weeks before arrival, when I reached out to organize airport transfer, to the last minute we felt we were in good hands. Thank you jason and team for the pleasant stay! We will come back :)
I couldn’t have wished for a better experience for my first solo trip! Jason and the whole team were incredibly thoughtful, from recommending me vegetarian spots nearby, to talking through my day in the mornings and giving advice on how best to travel/what else I could do - I felt fully comfortable and taken in. The Inn itself is just charmingly beautiful, my Garden Suite was an oasis to come back to with the sweetest messages left every night from the team! The breakfast served in their cosy lobby was delicious and they were super accommodating to my requests due to my dietary preferences - was the perfect way to start the day. I really recommend to anyone that stays to sign up for the Bike Tour. Hands down was one of my favourite things I did in the city - so much fun cycling through the narrow streets and round the temples at night. Was just awesome. Even though it’s been a couple of months since I’ve stayed I still think about the Inn!! If I am lucky enough to return to Bangkok this would be the first place I’d go : )
Its heritage look attracted us. Food was excellent. Hospitality was very good. Location was also good. Only thing found awkward was doorless toilet & bathroom. Also there should be an internal door to go to the adjacent building, instead of using the door from outside.
Very cute hotel with quirky decor and friendly service. Loved the breakfast choices and the location. The night bike tour is highly recommended. We stayed in the spacious honeymoon suite. This is definitely better suited to younger honeymooners as there are steep stairs up to the room, and down to the bathroom.
We loved old capital inn due to proximity of downtown , the staff truly made it a wonderful experience. They were extremely welcoming (even when we arrived at 5am haha). They had the best recommendations and were very knowledgeable about local areas. They had a delicious breakfast as well!
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The interior design is simply stunning and gives a very relaxing feeling. There’s attention to every little detail. The breakfast is excellent. The room was very comfortable — we stayed in a duplex room, and the separation was very convenient for me as a mother with a son. The location is very convenient. Above all, the staff’s service stands out — they go above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. This was our third time at the hotel, and we’ll definitely be coming back.
We stayed at Old Capital Bike Inn as a group of four friends and absolutely loved it. The inn is full of old city charm, beautifully decorated, and perfect for relaxing—especially in the cozy lobby. The breakfast was delicious every morning, and the free night bike tour was a unique and unforgettable experience. Every staff member gave us fantastic local tips, and the Jason’s hospitality was truly impeccable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a warm, character-filled stay in Bangkok!
Lovely quaint hotel with genuinely really lovely and helpful staff, the rooms have an antique touch which makes them really cosy. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were very accommodating with any changes we made to it, they also brought out a cake for my fiancée on his birthday which was above and beyond. We really recommend !
great breakfast! super nice and helpful staff! free massage and night bike tour!! good location! i came with my family and they had good suggestions for food and activities as well as transportation options and advice! they also leave sweet notes and small gifts in your room when you come back from your day.
