Inn at the Pier

Staff were extremely friendly and check in was a breeze!

The gotel was very nice, with great staff and close to many amenities.

Wonderful inn in a beautiful setting. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely, very clean. Great breakfast overlooking the water. Great restaurant on site as well.

Nice hotel, great location

Lovely and spacious suite with beautiful views.

Beautiful location. Very clean..Overall very positve stay!! Great pool and patio area! Just 2 small suggestions--maybe install a wall hanging rack that has 3/4 hooks on the empty end wall in the bathroom There is no place at all to hang robes,PJ`s,towels etc other than 2 hooks hidden behind shower curtain where anything hung there gets wet. Simple and inexpensive item Also despite being a nice large room .. there was a queen bed ---king would fit there easily. My Husband and I had a rough 2 nights trying to share a queen bed Maybe some people are used to that but we barely slept --maybe my fault for not reading booking description carefully It was a very comfortable quality mattress but way too small for the 2 of us. Great top quality Inn . Just suggesting 2 things to think about.

Lovely grounds, exceptional ocean view and outstanding food and service at the in house restaurant. Emin and all servers went above and beyond to make our dinners on the patio a highlight of our 3 day stay. Would highly recommend.

The Inn was delightful - the only criticism would be the breakfast - not a ton of options. They could add hard boiled eggs with ham or sausage and some variations of bread.

The staff were great, the room was perfect.

Wonderful ocean front property

Great location, hosts were excellent and clean rooms. The room could use a mirror outside the bathroom and instructions for using the TV/logging into streaming services.

Beautiful room, view, bed comfortable, close to everything. What more!

Owners/Staff were great! Very friendly. Restaurant was very good. Also great staff.

Loved everything about the Inn, especially that it is on the waterfront. Close to the beach and all major attractions. Lots of nearby dining and shopping options.

We loved staying at the Inn at the Pier as close to all major attractions. The staff is wonderful and property face the sea with breathtaking sunsets.

everything and everybody was amazing it made our holiday extra special we will sure be back again Thank You so much everybody

Great stay, great location!

Great, quaint and homey inn! Continental breakfast bar on site and included was a big plus.

Although expedia indicates there are bbq facilities there aren't. Although daily cleaning was appreciated the room needed maintenence on the wobbly toilet and slow draining tub.

There was a machine in the corridor next to the room made terrible noise.

The staff at the inn were incredibly sweet and kind. It was just myself and my daughter staying and I can’t say enough wonderful things about all of the staff. My daughter is a huge talker and became best friends with Dora and would want to chat every time we came downstairs. She would always make time for my daughter and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to stay in the area. It was clean, spacious and had an amazing pool that we spent a ton of time at. I can’t wait to return.

Very nice stay! Calm and relaxing with lovely staff!

Great location not far from three main beach es and alot of restaurants

very clean

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay in mid-July. I used the pool and hot tub several times and both were excellent. We had the continental breakfast every morning and enjoyed sipping our coffee on your deck overlooking the bay. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were terrific and made us feel very much at home. The location is revelled to access everything.

It was pretty clean. Breakfast was limited and was aware when booked. First mornings nothing left but bagles. No coffee made. First night into next morning late leaving morning and room waa not tidy up upon return. Card was put on the door to.? Please tidy up. Not able to accommodate a lower room due to disability and floors of. Stairs

Great location overlooking the water, enjoyed hot tub and pool, quiet area, clean and comfortable

3 nights pretty area , hotel also let check in early which was very helpful

A great location. Amazing sunset views. The breakfast was simple and delicious. Our first floor had a separate door to the parking lot, which made loading easier. Super close to all the Cavendish attractions.

Loved the location. The breakfast was simple. Nothing hot, just bagels and toast. Area was clean. No issues

Great location! Wonderful condition! Friendly people!

Great stay. Very quiet. Excellent staff. Good views.

This place is wonderful. The owners and the other employees are super friendly and helpful. The view is AMAZING and sitting in the hot tub at night overlooking the sea is a huge treat. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the rooms are spacious. We have had a wonderful time here. I can't wait to come again soon!

Beautiful spot!! Very clean, lovely room, comfortable bed, continental breakfast was more varied than expected. Very filling. Staff was friendly, answered lots of questions. They have a restaurant with a special chef, for dinner meals. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to be around to enjoy it at dinner time. We were really impressed and plan to go back soon!!

Beautiful location. What I didn’t like were the silverfish I saw in the bathroom.

Inn at the Pier was WONDERFUL! We rented two rooms and both were very clean, well maintained and quiet. Management is top-notch. Beautiful water view from both hotel deck and the independently owned restaurant.located within hotel.Restaurant's chef takes pride in serving thoughtfully prepared food. Our meal included fresh oysters and mussels harvested from Prince Edward Island waters.Delicious! HIghly recommend accommodations and dining @ Inn at the Pier!

Staff was very helpful…beautiful area

Very good facility and great location. Well kept. We will return

Great location! So close to Cavendish Beach and the Anne of Green Gables Museum!

Exactly as advertised. Clean. great views Great hot tub and pool. Clean. Attached restaurant with good choices. Lending library, quick drive to main attractions

Lovely venu. Excellent restaurant. Beautiful view. Staff and owners helpful and friendly. Look forward to a return trip

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn at the Pier. Clean, quiet, comfortable room in a lovely location right on the bay. Chelsea at the front desk was a delight to deal with. Chef Nish runs a nice restaurant in the back of the hotel featuring beautiful views. Room rate includes a continental breakfast. Salt water pool and hot tub both squeaky clean. Next time we’ll be sure to book a room facing the bay!

Out door views were spectacular. Friendly and accommodating staff.

PEI is a beautiful area. Candevish is an area where there is plenty to do for family and adults. Very peaceful, beautiful beaches. Inn is located in a central area away from all the activity so very peaceful. Inn staff amazingly friendly and helpful with local activities and places to eat. Enjoyed very much morning talks with owner of the Inn and history of area and what people do throughout year in area.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting lovely PEI. From check in to dining to our room, everything was super! Highly recommend this beautiful place.

We enjoyed staying here. It was close to Cavendish beach. The restaurant was excellent!

Great location, friendly, spacious and clean room, good bed, bedding and towels. Continental type breakfast provided. Would be nice if there were one or two non-carb choices, like some hard boiled eggs or something, but handy nonetheless. Close to Cavendish and northern beaches.

Dale and his partner were kind and friendly. The view from the Inn exceptional. I would recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a plane to stay in PEI.

A perfect location to use as a home base to explore the island. The owners are friendly and available to offer advice on what to see on the island. Had a delicious dinner at the onsight restaurant while enjoying a gorgeous sunset. I have several allergies and the chef went above and beyond to prepare my meal.

Enjoyed the stay. Would definitely go back if in the area.

The app took our booking but when we showed up the place was deserted. Repeated calls to their phone number went unanswered and no reply to our message on their answering service.

This Inn is beautiful, in a lovely quiet setting on the water! Everything about it was wonderful. Love the light and airy decor, and the owner is very helpful. Highly recommended!

This location is one of the best in this area. Really love the location. However, the breakfast is too simple. They also don't serve dinner on Tuesday. The restaurant in this area closes earlier.

Nice place

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at the Pier for one night as part of a nine-day trip from Montreal through the Maritimes and back. We booked through Expedia, five days in advance, paying $160 (including taxes and fees) for a “Standard Room, 1 Queen Bed” room. Check-in was quick and easy, with a “family welcome” feel to it. The room was on the upper floor, accessible only by stairs, which wasn’t a giant problem, but we had a number of bags and packages due to our length of stay, so it took a couple trips to haul everything up (and then back down the next day). The room was a good size, with a small TV, but also with a dedicated (our room only) wifi, which appeared to provide great access speeds around 50Mbps. We had to settle for a queen bed, which always feels small, but we knew that when we booked, so I can’t really complain. The room curtains did not block out the brilliant morning sun very well, so we didn’t sleep as long as we would have liked. The included continental breakfast was somewhat short on depth, but it is a relatively small property, so I appreciate that they can’t put out too many different options. Overall, our stay was fine and I would stay here again, but I’m not sure that we got more at the Inn at the Pier than we would have got elsewhere for the same price, so I have given this property a rating that reflects that it is in the middle of where I expect everyone else is.

Fantastic location and warm, welcome staff. The view over the pier is magical. Enjoyed our stay, I just wish I could have been longer :)

The location of the Inn is ideal. It’s central to PEI areas you may want to visit. The bay view is very nice too. Better from the upper floor.

We got a suite facing the water. Beautiful view!! The room is nice and clean with a kitchenette. They also gave an outdoor pool and a jucuzzi . Staff is friendly and helpful and there is a restaurant on the premises!! I highly recommend staying here!!

We stayed at The Inn at the Pier on Sept. 8 & 9, 2023. Firstly the staff were very friendly & our room was very clean. The next day the room was cleaned again which a lot of places don't do if your stay is a couple days. Granted, the room could stand some upgrades & a higher toilet in the bathroom. Beautiful spot overlooking the water to have breakfast. Overall this is a a very clean place & I would stay here again.

The property was right on the water. The views and the sunset were spectacular!

Lovely little inn...nothing bad to say about it!! Charming!

The place is welcoming (especially as it was the end of the season) and the evening meals were very good. It's an old hotel but well-maintained. The only downside was that it was warm at night and there was no AC. People in the front of the house were helpful and the restro were excellent.

All around nice place to stay. Maybe the location is a little isolated.

Wonderful spot to hang out!

It was Awesome only thing i found was if someone was in the room above it gets a bit annoying becase foot traffic or other noises moving furniture carries very easily

This quaint little Inn was excellent. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. It backed onto the waterfront and you could step outside and just enjoy the tranquility of the Inn and surrounding beauty of the area. The pool and hot tub were great. Our room had a door you could open to a little patio. They had several benches to sit and enjoy the waterfront. They had an excellent continental breakfast and my spouse said it was the best coffee he had tasted on our entire 8 day trip. There was an outdoor restaurant attached called Island Chef at the Pier that made great cocktails and had excellent food. They rented kayaks and paddleboards. This Inn was in an excellent location just outside of Cavendis PEI and close to Cavendish Beach and other points of interest.

Firstly, this hotel is not a hotel, it’s a motel. It’s overall clean, but basic, dated and a little worn and shabby. This would have been ok if it was a motel price. But it’s not. It cost us €600 to stay here for two nights which in my mind is an absolute rip off. The location is great for Cavendish and all things Green Gables. But it’s not worth a 4* rating by any stretch of the imagination. The first night we were there the electrics fused in our room. It was rectified quite quickly, but were told that we may have had too many electric things on…there were 4 sockets running in the room, 2 lamps, the electric fire and the fridge, I can’t see how this could have tripped the fuse. The best bit was the manager asking us if we were sure we only weee using four sockets!!! The next trauma was getting into bed to find that there wasn’t a duvet cover on the bed, it was sheet on the bottom and a sheet on the top of the duvet. The hotel staff told us the next day this was a ´double wrap’ and no, they don’t change the duvet cover between guests. This simply melted my brain. As soon as you turn over in bed, the bed sheet comes off and then your skin is next to the duvet which countless other guests have slept against. This cannot be considered hygienic practice. The dining area was similarly worn and shabby and the breakfast was pretty poor too. Some terrible quality bread and muffins, which you helped yourself to from the packet, some tinned fruit salad and some highly synthetic yoghurts and not much else. The second day there were some croissants, which in all fairness were quite nice. The rest was pretty grim, largely due to the poor quality of the produce. Again, this would have been ok if we had paid motel prices. Not for €300 per night. The hotel staff were lovely overall. Apart from the manager who was hostile and defensive. I think he could do with some hospitality training and getting a fresh perspective on the quality of his service and fixtures and fittings. If you would like to run a cheap motel, please fix your prices accordingly. I would recommend the 45Steps further along the north coastline of PEI. For 50 bucks more a night you get tip top service, immaculate rooms and quality fixtures and fittings complete with duvet covers and lovely thick, fluffy towels. Plus, the breakfasts are amazing.

BEWARE! The quilt you will sleep in is wrapped with a sheet and not in a duvet cover. Meaning, after you have wriggled around during the night and the sheet has become displaced, your skin will be on the same uncovered duvet that the last guests skin or feet has been on, and god knows how many guests before them. I find this unhygienic and particularly disgusting. The uninterested owner who stood with hands on his hips when we discussed the issue replied with “yeah well, everyone has their opinion” and told us this is the PEI tourism’s recommended practice for wrapping bed covers, a practice we have not come across in other PEI hotels. Apart from that the room was clean but had dated decor and the wi-fi was very poor. There is no cooked breakfast which is something I would expect in an apparently four star hotel. On the plus side, the patio area is nice and the evening restaurant’s food was very good. Parking is easy and available.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location and close to all the fun activities. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Any expectation I could have had for this hotel was blown out of the water by the excellent service, view and overall ambiance. I loved it here. The team did a great job of keeping everything spotless. Room was cool during the heatwave and the pool was well kept.

Having breakfast on the covered patio while watching the local fishing boats going out was a wonderful start to the day.

This was a lovely place, room was clean and pretty average with everything we needed, pool and hot tub enjoyable. The restaurant had great food and wonderful view from the patio. We had shrimp and mango curry and seafood chowder. Continental breakfast was excellent with home made muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagals and toast, fresh coffee and she even happily made us a pot of decaf. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a very satisfactory stay, sunset was spectacular.

Beautiful views- from our room balcony and from the outside terrace at dinner & breakfast - made us want to pause and savour every moment.

Everyone at Inn on The Pier was friendly and welcoming, from the front desk staff, the waiter, and the chef. The hotel was spotless. Basic continental breakfast - just enough to get your day started. Was too cold and rainy to access the property. Would love to be there in warmer weather to enjoy the back patio and view. Great place to travel from to explore the island. We’d stay again.

We really liked this hotel! It was very comfortable and quiet. Thank you. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Inn at the Pier during Hurricane Fiona. Even without power and water the hosts went above and beyond to keep us safe and comfortable. Exceptional service given the circumstances. Beautiful location once the sun came out and the winds died down.

This was a very spacious suite, with its living room and bedroom, and patio with a view of the water. It was clean, but is looking a bit worn - the paint on the fireplace mantle was peeling, for example, and it definitely wasn't cozy. It's well located, very close to the Anne of Green Gables heritage site, PEI preserve company, and New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. The included breakfast was your typical continental (and we were happy to have it) - toast, bagels, yogurt, cereal, canned fruit cocktail.

We had a very pleasant & relaxing stay at the inn. It was so clean, comfortable & quiet. We enjoyed a lovely sunset sitting outside on the patio overlooking the scenic bay. We enjoyed an evening of great music performed by a local talent just down the road from the inn. The managers & staff were very friendly & helpful. The inn was in a great location, close to attractions & beautiful beaches. Overall a great value.

We could not have picked a better spot to get married, from the venue to the Magnificat view to the host and the location. Thanks to Dale my wedding was a dream come true, thank you from Christine &Jacques

Beautiful property and view!

Loved our stay here. The pool and hot tub were amazing as was the outdoor licensed restaurant and bar. Thanks for the relaxing stay!

The hotel was all right. We ended up spending more time than expected in the rather small hotel room in which only one of the windows was functional because I developed COVID while we were there. The hotel owner was not terribly understanding and was rude to my husband. It's not as though I chose to catch COVID on our holiday. We left early and didn't get any reimbursement, which I do understand due to the last-minute nature of the change, but I feel that the owner could have been nicer about it all.

Room was comfortable. Shower was small. Staff was very friendly.

Clean, lovely ocean view, extremely friendly staff. So close to Candish activities. Free continental breakfast or hand made cooked breakfast. Our room was a King suite, water view with a tiny balcony.

Beautiful grounds, exquisite sunsets, friendly people, good food, comfortable room and close to Cavendish Beach. Very enjoyable stay. We highly recommend Inn at the Pier to anyone visiting the Cavendish region of Prince Edward Island.

Small hotel with a patio and restaurant (not open when we visited). The owner was an excellent host, provided lots of information, made breakfast in the mornings, joined us for lobster dinner (we bought them at a seafood shop) one evening. Great view and sunsets.

Nice hotel. Very clean. No complaints.

This was our 6th time enjoying Dale and Lorna's great spot. As usual Dale's cooking was top notch and the atmosphere is fantastic . The rooms were clean and the mattresses very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect as usual. Dale & Lorna go way above and beyond to make your stay as you wish. If you are thinking of a getaway on the island, do not miss this gem and the great hosts and staff. Mike & Lorna Truro, NS

Inn at the Pier is sure to please. excellent service Beautiful grounds with beautiful view of the water. Room was very clean and spacious and staff super friendly and eager to please. Breakfast was awesome with bacon, eggs , coffee tea toast English muffin or fruit muffins. Very close to Cavendish. Owner goes above and beyond to make your stay . Definitely worth booking as you won't be disappointed. Thank you Inn at the Pier for your exceptional service. Kelly & Stuart Phillips

Our stay at the Inn offered a lovely, tranquil place to vacation in beautiful PEI. The owner of the Inn was very gracious and accommodating and the country breakfast was an extra treat 😊

I have stayed at this hotel now twice - two years in a row in August! The view is incredible I loved having my coffee with a view or a glass of wine in the evening! Also this property is clean, cute and has all you need. Sure there are some updates that need to be done like the carpet but that's not a big deal. This place has charm and I don't think you will find anything nicer in Cavendish. I would highly recommend the property and the romance package! The day trip to the Dunes that is included was beyond cool, loved it!

The property is in a great location. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the area. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable.

Water view from large rooms, helpful and friendly staff, very neat and clean. Definitely a place to come back to in the future.

Right on the water - had a pool. Close to harbour with excellent restaurant. There was a beautiful patio overlooking the water where one could watch the beautiful sun set.

It was pretty basic - showing some wear - survey not letting me hit submit yet

Property is not well kept. Needs alot of TLC. Pool area clean and newer. Watersports rented out of makeshift shed. View from balcony is a load of garbage and roofs. No cushions on furniture, weeds and cobwebs over balcony. For price it was disappointing.

Lovely patio overlooking the ocean at breakfast. Great kayak rentals right on site. Not enough lounge chairs around the pool but the pool is well placed on the property with an ocean view :).

Fantastic trip and stay!! This hotel was one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed at. The staff was full of information on places to go and things to do and how to get there. It was very clean and we enjoyed our evenings on the back deck watching the water. They even left us use their Grill to cook our fish we caught while deep sea fishing. We even had an Eagle come visit us on our last day to say goodbye.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view of the bay is very relaxing and we enjoyed sitting on the deck at night watching the water. We went on a deep sea fishing trip and the hotel allowed us to use their grill to cook our fish. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay.had a great waterview from our balcony on the 2nd floor.
