The Bliss Ubon

A nice hotel but I would never stay here again.

The location of the hotel is a major issue - being located at the end of a long, lonely, residential street, far from any restaurants, cafes, shops etc. The location is only ideal for people with their own car. Anytime you wish to go anywhere, you will need to call a taxi. This 4-story building does not have an elevator which is especially painful for anyone with heavy bags. My room was located on the 3rd floor! Better value elsewhere in Ubon.

Very comfortable room and beds. Awesome black out curtains. I did not want to get up in the morning! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good also.

Room needs repair , showing age from when there 7 years ago ,,,, over priced accomodations ,,, bicycles , should be ashamed offering to customer, not safe and very old ,, I would have paid to rent good bicycle...

Hôtel situé dans un quartier agréable d'Ubon. Les chambres sont confortables et d'un prix intéressant (il n'y a pas d'ascenseur mais ça se fait bien) Nous avions 2 chambres qui communiquent, ce qui est pratique avec des enfants. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. En prime nous avons fait la connaissance du patron , un français installé ici depuis longtemps. Il nous a expliqué les fondamentaux du Bouddhisme, très intéressant. Il nous a également beaucoup aidé, que ce soit pour les excursions dans le parc national, ou pour la logistique pour aller au Laos. Merci encore

The room is a good size. Bed was comfy, (usually they are rock hard in this part of the world) good sized fridge with a freezer (good for ice) very quiet location, a very short, cheap ride to the huge mall, staff were very nice, including the owner - Francoise. Breakfast was included with home baked bread and jam with eggs how you want them. Free water everyday. In room snacks and drink, very reasonably priced (probably the only hotel on the planet that offers such a thing, so reasonably!) House keeping were great! Did a fantastic job! Gym small, but good, had an elliptical trainer which I love...

The shower pressure was a bit low - while the overhead shower worked OK, the hand held was a little weak. Bigger towels? I'm quite a big guy, and the towels were a little small, especially when having multiple showers a day (it's a hot country!)

Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war auch klasse. Uns hat das selbstgemachte Brot sowie die selbstgemacht Marmelade sehr geschmeckt. Das Bett war auch sehr bequem. Beim aus checken hatten wir ein Ladekabel bei uns im Zimmer vergessen. Da hat uns das Personal angerufen und wir sind noch mal schnell zurückgefahren, um es zu holen. Sehr aufmerksam! :)

Das Wasser ist etwas salzig und der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war etwas niedrig.

My room is very nice with a medium size refrigerator and coffee/tea pot. The internet is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Its a short taxi ride to shopping and theres a 7-11 with a coffee shop and ATM down the street very close.

Room 304 ~ 2 x Night Stay ~ Booked via Agoda A good 7 out of 10 experience. Customer service was excellent. Hotel location is NOT Noise Free. There was LOUD Drumming and MUSIC the 2 x Nights we were here.... That was also going on when we stayed here 3 Months before!!! Rooms were fairly modern, relaxing however the BEDDING SMELT of SWEAT!! As it was during the week there was a Buffet Breakfast. The Toaster took 7 x times to turn the home made Bread into only just passable very lightly Toasted Bread. The French Owner informed us the Toaster has an issue!! Really - it was like that back in NOV 2024!!! I got a very Dodgy Tummy a few hours after breakfast and believe it to have been the Fried Eggs. All in all an passable stay however on the border of not being a great stay any longer.

The check in was smooth as was the check out , the staff were excellent and very nice and friendly made us very welcome, would definitely stay there again , it was great value for money especially as breakfast was included.

We have stayed here a few times now everything was good. Breakfast selection is limited, food was okay. Hotel is a 5min walk to the main road that offer street food, 7/11 and other food options. Gym, lots of parking, and use of bicycle available

Really good and friendly English speaking staff. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Block out curtains very effective. Plenty of car parking. Good security. Now stayed twice and will go back. Excellent value for money. Good breakfast. No lift but it wasn’t an issue for me. Restaurant at night is not open. Plenty of traditional Thai restaurants, coffee shops and laundromats in walking distance. Staff recommended Farang restaurants which were excellent but have to take a taxi or drive. One restaurant recommended was “Ricco Caf” which is one of the best I’ve ever been to in Thailand. Superb menu and wine list. International and fusion dishes. Great live band playing at a reasonably low volume

Stayed here a few times. Bed is very comfortable and we enjoy the small buffet breakfast they offer with the room. About 50 meters to the a main road where there are many food option

The homemade goods (bread, jam, vanilla chiffon cake), the breakfast, the friendly staff, the bed/pillows/linen were amazing, quirky decor.

Extremely hard crusted shampoo and soap on the levers of the wall mounted dispensers. Easy to clean with a scraper. A quick solution making bath time for guests a better experience.

Staff were so so nice

There is no any lift in the building, which is very inconvenient for us cause we had luggages and they did not offer any help. The location pretty scared at night. It’s located at the bottom of the street and narrow.

Check in was very quick, good size clean room with very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet selection was small, but that suited us it was tasty. They have bicycles available to use as well as a good gym. Walk 10 minutes and there are all kinds of street food vendors. My only problem, WiFi signal was not strong when laying on bed

I think for a hotel like The bliss in a dead end street is very quiet and safe no noise no traffic very clean staff was friendly, it was a pleasant stay! I would go back again, the only downfall is it has no elevator but the staff will take your luggage! To your room

We stay at this small hotel when visiting Ubon Ratchathani & always received with a warm welcome. We prefer to stay on the 2nd floor due to age as the property has no lift. Breakfast is more suited to Thai cuisine but offered scrambled eggs if preferred. Our king room bed is one of the most comfortable that we have experienced in our travels.

The staff are nice. There also provide the bicycle which is free of charge to the convenience store. The bed is comfy and the room has a lot of space.

The parking quiet busy. No elevator. Not suitable for the elder.

Breakfast was okay but there was really nothing to eat with eggs! The Thai food was good but not a companion for eggs! The room was good and the Queen bed was excellent, extremely comfortable.

I stayed on the 4th floor (my preference) and unfortunately no lift, but luckily I only had one medium carry bag. Parking was tight especially when the hotel is full, so it paid to be parked early!

This place is great, room just prefect and service is wonderful. Front desk is very helpful, dining room service is beyond my expectations. They greet us every morning.. and all the workers are all great.. hats off to the peoples that hired all these employees.. they all very well train.. we would stay here again.. thank you for a wonderful experience…

Excellent value for money. Both rooms booked were clean and confortable.

Excellent Hotel, best value in Ubon.

We where visiting my wife's relatives in the area and for what they charged you couldn't fault the place.It was spotless clean and was only 40 baht 2 shopping centre.The breakfast was very good.If you are looking for a budget hotel you won't do much better than this.

After having read the reviews I booked this hotel. Once we stayed there I realized that those who wrote the reviews probably never stayed at a real 4 star hotel . This hotel is a good 3 star hotel. To be a 4 star hotel, it should have provided some services that this hotel lacked. First, the level of English knowledge was not so satisfying. The guy working at night shift at the reception, had no knowledge of English what so ever and if my partner was not with me, I don't know how I could communicate with him. The breakfast was limited and the coffee awful, so from the second day we brought our own coffee and bread. It took them seven minutes to warm up a half cup of milk in the microwave and bring it back. No English channels and since the wifi was too slow, I couldn't use my laptop to watch something there. Also NO elevator, so if you get a room on the 3rd floor then you have to carry your luggage up on those 40 stairs to get to your room and NO warm water in the washroom, only in the shower. So to sum up, I would say that if your expectations are not high, this hotel is good for stay !!!

The ad was deceptive. Carry my bag upstairs. Located in dead end alley. Not even close to 4 star hotel. Power went out, no aircon.

It is a nice hotel with good rooms with all basic necessities and comfort. The family-run business is very welcoming and friendly. They offer homemade bread for breakfast of rare-to-find quality in Thailand (sour doe).

There was nothing I didn't like.

Paid approx $24 Aus which included breakfast. The hotel is modern and bright. Clean and tidy. I stayed in the superior room which is standard I think. It was big and open with a small sofa. Bed was very comfortable and 2 pillows per person which I appreciate. Breakfast was a buffet. It had fruit, local Thai sweet and hot Thai dishes plus bread and jam. The dining room is very modern and relaxing. The staff throughout the hotel are very polite and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Always a very pleasant stay

The bliss is located in a quiet area. Easy to find ways to as there were many signs to the hotel from nearby roads. Stayed in the suite room 201 during the dates 12 - 18 August. Hotel had no elevators, but room 201 was only one stairwell up. Shower water pressures in 201 was low. One night it was quite loud noise from room above. Spoke to hotel and I think they tried their most to avoid opening rooms above my room. Bed linen was sateen which I was not used to and they changed duvet cover to cotton for me. Unfortunately never had opportunity to try the breakfast. The bliss is better hotel than other hotel I’ve stayed in while in Ubon.

Great hotel, stylish and well designed The rooms are not super big but they are very well thought out to maximize functionality. Nice sheets on the comfy bed, fridge, good Wi-Fi and air-con. Lights and power points everywhere. The breakfast is great with homemade bread, cakes, jam and lots of salad. You also have 10 choices mostly Thai but some Western also. Coffee is ok too. Exceptional value for money. Well located not to far from Central Plaza, lots of cafes and restaurants close by.

This was the 5th stay here at the Bliss. Nice, location on the outskirts of the city. Good breakfast.

I want to shout The Bliss Ubon from the rooftops for an excellent budget stay. A modern style hotel with a creative and colourful flair, our room was comfortable, we slept well. As others have mentioned the silky sheets were a point of difference to other hotels, the shower worked fine, as did the wifi, the minibar prices were good value Breakfast was memorable with lovely homemade jam, bread and banana muffins. The best omelette I’ve had in Thailand covered in herbs! If you are looking for access to the nightlife of Ubon (if there is any) then this place is more than a stone's throw away, they do free airport pick up but with this location having a hire car was ideal No swimming pool, small gym area, no bar on-site. A great introduction to the delights of Ubon. Thankyou The Bliss Ubon, your nailed a great stay!

This was the best budget to low midrange hotel we have stayed in for a very long time. It is nicely decorated, has Western standard bedding and great pillows and the included breakfast was very good.
