We booked twin room with breakfast because it was close to the Ferry port. Such a realy lovely place. Our room was so nice, it was comfy cosy & clean. Beautiful surroundings such a great setting. The Bed linnen was soft white luxury. The bath towels were great sizes & fluffy white. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Loved everything about it & we hope to visit again in the near future.

Honestly can't find any negatives.

Lovely junior suite room - described as a double but exceeded expectations of size and with a pleasant view of the river. Quiet accommodation, within the historic castle walls and right on the High Street. Great breakfast in the 1176 restaurant with town and garden view.

Location central Good living space, if a little tired in the lounge/diner. Well equipped kitchen.

No allocated parking and the parking rules in Cardigan are restricting, and we spent a lot of time moving the car. It would be good to have an explanation of how this works rather then go through the pain and streyof finding this out first ourselves. “Parking available” on the description of the property on the website is too vague. It was very hot during our stay so air conditioning would be a good investment for the future.

All good. Check in needed codes needed to enter property and access room keys on a Sunday (all perfectly manageable), and codes were sent to us in good time - may not suit all.

Very central location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great accommodation including use of communal kitchen and living room facilities. Room was quiet and overlooked the castle garden. Really handy on site secure parking

Very good location, the kitchen and washing room in the East Wing were perfect for our walking needs.

Fabulous room with secure carpark for our motorbike, lovely breakfast and staff were all lovely.

Wish we had realised the heating was on! We opened the windows but we had a disturbed night and in the morning I touched the radiator to find them hot! Didn’t expect them on when the weather was so good.

Had a beautiful attic room. Plenty of space with two twin beds and a seating area. Roomy bathroom. Room was extremely clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful

The instructions sent for accessing the onsite parking were a little confusing as it didn't mention a turning just after the castle which leads you around the one way system.

Super clean, staff were excellent, decor great, everything was new looking. Lovely views! We even had a visit from a white apparition during the late hours of the night 👻

Bed was a little bit on the small side

Fire door inside the room leading to bathroom very difficult to open for my 6 year old and nearly got trapped fingers in door. Not sure why that fire door is there when you have another fire door leading to the landing leaving room.

The thing we found most inconvenient was that there was no evening meals being served at the castle. After 3-4 pm you could not order any food and the restaurant was closed.

Parking lot and entry were tight!

Booking dot com advised we would be notified of access details by the renter by e mail. This did not happen. On arrival we called the contact number for Cardigan Castle they told us we should have been notified by booking dot com. They gave us access details over the phone and we were able to get in

Wonderful. The welcome we had from Sian was warm & genuine. Bedrooms, all 3 of them, along with kitchen, lounges etc were sympathetically decorated, fit for a Lord (Rhys). Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice. Being able to wander the grounds at night was magical.

The warm welcome from all staff and the whole process was very organised.

The only one thing that could've been better would be a larger bed, our bedroom, 'Yr Afon' was beautiful with plenty of space with possibly too much furniture. A king or superking bed would make our stay absolutely perfect!

The central location, the special history of the castle, the view of the river Teifi from my room, the lovely helpful and friendly staff, the excellent breakfast (both in the restaurant and the continental breakfast which was left in my room when I had 2 early starts), the spacious clean room. Tolle Unterkunft im Castle

The cottage had everything we needed for our four night stay. The bed was large and comfortable. The walking shower was perfect and the shower stool was appreciated. Grounds of castle were well kept.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Apparently they were in a "communal area" as were the hotel information which was not made clear. No one to help with anything (e.g. information). Very "oldie worldie" fittings in room. Wardrobe too small for hangers, single seat so low and wobbly I needed 2 cushions to use the desk. Not worth £150 a night.

Excellent location, very near to restaurants and points of interest. Excellent quality linens and towels, immaculately clean. Lovely grounds and very good quality breakfast.

The fire doors in other rooms are a little loud but this is only a minor point.

Good breakfast we both enjoyed the vegetarian cooked breakfast, polite staff and lovely environment. Comfortable bed and great shower. Floor fan provided. It was a pleasure to walk around the castle grounds in the evening. Parking was very convenient and the location was superb.

The duvet was 10.5 tog in sweltering weather! Should have been changed to at least 4.5 tog for the Summer months June - August.

We stayed in the Stables. Our accommodation comprised one large bedroom/living room with three beds, table and chairs and easy chairs, and a kitchen and shower room/toilet. It was very clean and well-furnished. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The castle includes a wide green and specimen trees, a museum, a kitchen garden, a play area, and the restaurant where we had breakfast. It is very much in the centre of the town.

There should be a small shelf in the shower for shampoo and other bottles.

Was spacious

There was crumbling rocks falling off the ceiling When asked they said the council is dealing with it also no room cleaning at all as we stayed 2 nights we were told it was self catering but not that it was not serviced Also no herbal or decaf teas offered and one tiny packet of welcome biscuits

Room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Check in was easy as key in lock box

I would left a review in visitors book but no pen in room and its not something I carry. Suggestion leave a pen available. The room was very very hot with only one fan for the size of room it didn't work well thankfully I did bring my own as well. We also created a wind tunnel by wedge the bedroom door open and opening all windows that could be opened. As there was an event being set we couldn't use restaurant on the evening or enjoy the castle gardens. The biggest disappointment was no fridge, especially with the heat , that would have been hugely beneficial and there's was plenty of room for one to be put in.

Arrivant en fin de journée, il n’y avait personne pour nous accueillir. Malgré les informations reçues par mail pour pouvoir accéder au parking, trouver la chambre et prendre le petit déjeuner le lendemain matin, rien n’a été très simple. La dernière surprise fut d’enlever nous-même les draps et serviettes de toilette, les mettre dans un grand sac et vider les poubelles…! Étonnant !!
