Phupha Bungalow

Good

Very clean, comfortable bungalows. Great shower. Loved the hammock. Owners were very friendly and accommodating

Great bungalow, very central so decent location. Basic room layout but everything you really need. Nice bed, hot shower and good a/c. I would stay here again next time.

Very comfy bed and great location

The room was basic but clean. The couple running it were nice and friendly. They let us keep a bag here for a bunch of days while we stayed on the other side of Phangan since we couldn't take them all on the motorbike. A few books would be good in the room to hang towels or clothing on because there's no closet or dresser in the room. There's no real stairs on the property, it's more of a rough concrete drainage ditch that you walk down from your room. Even though there's a bench built in to the porch, a chair would be more comfortable. The price was good for the days we stayed and location is convenient to walk into town.

Everything is around

Descent basic bungalow, does what it says on the tin! Nice clean white sheets, okay pillows. Yes, there were ants in the bathroom but not a deal breaker for me. I gloved the hammock on the big veranda. AC nice and cold and local to lots of shops, restaurants etc. Arrived at 2.30pm room wasnt ready, had to wait an hour but not a major deal (host lady very apologetic). Would recommend, i got a cheap deal for 3 nights so very happy

Everything about this place was great but can be tricky to find if your using google maps. Otherwise great stay! My suggestion is to just type in the name of the complex itself instead of the pin on the property details. Cheers!

Super central and comfortable, the staff was really nice and helpful.

Great stay for Full Moon Festival

Literally a room with beds only and nothing else…dirty and ugly, i dare not to walk into the room on bare feet

Good budget place to stay for the Full Moon Party. Friendly staff. Place is clean but a bit run down. Could use some fresh paint and repairs.

Location for full moon party was excellent. Good price, helpful staff!

overall good comfortable stay in good location. No fridge provided to keep your drinks cool.

Very peaceful and friendly staff. Nice hotel and great for a getaway. Would return again.

Arrived in Haad Rin via ferry, bungalows were about 700m walk from the dock. Got to the front desk, woman looked shocked that I was checking in, shoulda taken the hint. Got to my bungalow, no safe, no fridge, no desk, lamp, nightstand.. nothing! A bed that was all. I realize it’s a bungalow in Thailand, it’s gonna be rustic, but how can you not have a safe in the room for money passports etc. Property was eerily quiet and after a few hours I realized I was the only guest on the whole property. 10-15 bungalows and only mine was occupied. Slept there one night and Couldn’t leave soon enough, no one at front desk, no official check out just handed a guy raking leaves my key and left. Location was fine and close walking distance to everything, but that’s not saying much due to how small Haad Rin is. Room did have a pretty comfy king size bed, that was the only positive.

Horrible room, full of spider webs and no storage

The adress was wrong. I had a hard time to find the place. At the reception, they try to be nice, but they cant speak english much. I had a hard time calling them to find and communication problems. The place was very simple, room had nothing but a bed but it served for the purpose that was to sleep and take shower only.

Booked last minute so it was expensive. Location is pretty ideal. 5-10 walk to the full moon party. So the noise level wasn’t bad at all at hotel. Except in the morning...they have multiple roosters that constantly...sing? Every like 30 seconds between the hours of 7-9. VERY annoying. Room was nice. Had quite a few ants in the bathroom but other than that it was really clean. Very close to lots of bars and restaurants as well.

I needed to book a last minute hotel once I realized the original place i booked had no roadway access (Haad Yuan Area). Wish I booked somewhere further out or paid more for another place. This place doesn't even make an effort to try. Definitely not a place you can just chill in your room for a bit. I basically slept here, and tried to keep active outside as much as possible to avoid staying here. The room was grungy with unclean tiles and bugs The sheets were dirty The shower was cold The towels had period blood stains from before I ended up taking the earliest ferry right after the full moon party just to avoid staying at this place. There are much nicer and cleaner bungalows in the area.

Perfect place to stay for the full moon party if you want it literally to rest your head, very basic room full with creepy crawleys. Comfy bed and perfect location.

Perfect for those who don't expect to be spending much time in their hotel. Each place comes with its own hammock and the wifi was surprisingly good. However, it was the family (?) that works there that made the stay. Extremely friendly and accommodating, they fulfilled every one of our requests. Would stay again.

Very convenient location about 3 minutes walking distance to where the party is but far enough to not hear the blasting music. I suggest packing soap and shampoo if you pick this bungalow. It's very simple and bed and bathroom with an adorable hammock outside. The owners don't speak much english but that's not a barrier to spread their kindness. They grow yummy fruit and have a pretty cool roosters

It was great for Full Moon Party. As long as you can deal with the basics; Bed, shower, and toilet. Within walking distance to everything near the party.

The room had nothing No fridge, no dryer, even the bed wasn't that comfy The pic looks way better They wouldn't let us use their kitchen

We were there during the Full moon Party in April 2017. Everything is so simple, no refridgerater, the shower was okey. Besides that, the power outlet did not work so I needed to borrow the socket extension cord from the owner.By the way the bungalow was so clean and owner of the bungalow was so helpful so we used all of their service such as laundry service and transportation to the pier.

We stayed here for full moon party and that's all I'd recommend it for. The bungalow is so dingy but they raise prices since it's literally a 2 min walk from the party! Convenient location, but room is an old bungalow that had mouse droppings in the bathroom and a dead jungle cockroach on floor. Bedsheets and towels were "clean". And they helped us with a taxi to airport the next morning, which was nice since we were hungover. Also check out isn't til noon which is nice because after full moon party you get back to the room at like 5-6am

bit far away from full moon party

It is what it is a place to crash with minimal to offer. The staff are very friendly and helpful though.

It's a simple room, but you come to Phangan to go outside, so it's perfect for that. It's right near Haadrin beach. Also, the wifi signal is great and the staff are fantastic.

Phupha was in a great location for 5 nights over New Years, walking distance to the beach but far enough away to get away from the crowds. The staff were helpful but not English speakers. Had minor issues with the staff re housekeeping and new linen during the week. Definitely over priced for the basic accommodation you get but it was peak time. Wifi did not work very well. No issues with bugs.

Basic, but that's all you need, especially if you are coming for full moon. Check in and check out fantastic, they even look after your keys for you on nights out so you don't lose them. Cannot beat the location, right beside the Main Street and 3mins walk from the party, but far enough away to not hear any noise at all. We had great sleeps here. Rooms as pictured online. Better than staying in Baan Tai, as it is 20 mins away by taxi and you'd have to get a taxi there and back from Haad Rin every night Thanks for the great stay

Very basic hotel but the bathroom was not clean. We switched rooms and the bathroom was somewhat cleaner but still disgusting and full of bugs. Room was fine, AC was good, love the hammock in front of each room. Staff was very nice. Good location, within 7-10 min walk to Haad Rin Beach.

First, the location is really good. It is near the Haad Rin and easy to find. Unfortunately the staff doesn't speak English very well. Unfortunately my request to change the sheets were not fulfilled.. The just flipped it over and one could still see the blood on the other side then..

Very basic bungalow but all you need for the full moon party. 5 minute walk to Full Moon Beach and many shops near the hotel. Family who runs the place is very nice and accommodating. Would certainly recommend staying here if you dont need any luxuries.

We stayed 2 nights during the full moon party. It was exactly as expected/advertised with great wifi and amazing AC. It's no luxury and the water pressure could be improved, but it is clean and convenient for the full moon party. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even arranged for a cab to the ferry at the end of our stay. Overall, definitely recommended for what you need for the full moon party.

Room was fairly basic but clean. Had all we needed but nothing extra. Friendly staff but reception not open very long. Perfect location as close enough to walk to beach/full moon party without being on top of it so can still get good night sleep. Right beside town for booking trips or taxis. Overall was average but I would stay here again

It's not vvery close to full moon party but can walk, except when u get too drunk it could be a problem. hotel staff was very nice and the room is ok for just sleeping.

We stayed here for the full moon party, it is a very basic place - literally just a bed and bathroom. It was okay for what we needed. Staff were friendly.

We were 4people who stayed 3nights during fullmoon party(25dec), the location is great for FM. It took 5-10min to haad rin beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, maybe not the best in english tho. They didnt clean the room or changed towels during the stay, but that didnt matter for us. There were almost no mosquitos outside during our stay in the area.
