Peaceful location in the country.

The property was as I expected, the staff lovely and helpful except one gentleman. Unfortunately I do need to mention this, when we arrived on Wednesday evening the Gentleman behind the bar ignored us trying to check in even though he knew we were there. We were forced to call him back when he turned his back on us. My initial impression was that I was concerned about how our stay would turn out. Luckily the staff in the dining room were the opposite and helped to enhance our stay.

Noisy from around 7:30am on Sunday morning (music being played in bar, people talking in other rooms, cleaning)

This beautiful pub was the perfect place to stay with my son to enjoy the Cotswolds and with its location so close to the River Thames we had a fabulous walk too.

The only very small thing was the shower wall could do with a mould clean as the tile grout was a little orange.

Very close to William Morris's house, Kelmscott Manor, which we had come to visit. Comfortable, very quiet room and bed, coffee making facilities, and kettle. Lovely fresh food at dinner.Very helpful and friendly staff.

TV not very intuitive if you want to watch the usual free channels but an extensive Internet offering and many apps.

The location is fabulous, the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The Inn is very pretty and the bar and restaurant are comfortable and traditional. The room was comfortable but small.

It wasn’t very clean, there were cobwebs and fly dirt on the window frame and the bathroom floor was dirty. There were hairs in the bathroom and on the blanket. I thought it was overpriced.

Room 6 meadow sweet, loud machine noise from cellar below.. all night long. No sleep, avoid this room , although all that part of pub was noise loud humming. Moved to.room next morning in other side. No noise. No reduction in price offered. Water bottle had no lid on it. Room nicely decorated, but a bit grubby in parts.

Lovely peaceful inn, quiet setting, lovely walk nearby. Very helpful staff who arranged for my charger and cable to be posted back to me after I left it, no charge.

Only that on the night we stayed, the pump is the pump-room below our window was on all night. This was an over-ride issue in hot weather. The staff were very apologetic and provided complimentary dinner. Otherwise all good, and other rooms not affected.

Ideal stop as walking Thames Path. Really nice pub, very good evening meal and lovely breakfast. Room was nicely furnished and great shower but was extremely hot even with fan (stayed during the heatwave) but that is to be expected with an old pub. Would recommend.

It’s a lovely pub. Nice beer garden. Food was lovely. Bedroom was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast good . Really good service I asked if I could check out later from my room because I had a meeting. And my hubby was downstairs. They kept taking him cups of coffee.

We had a lovely overnight stay at The Plough when visiting Kelmscott Manor. The pub is just a 5 minute walk away so incredibly convenient. The room was comfortable and well appointed, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had great dinner and breakfast at the pub.

We were very happy with every aspect of our stay.

The vibe - the position - the food!!

Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Een ruime keuze van lekkers. De locatie is prachtig. Midden in de natuur, zeer schattige huisjes. De kamer is prima. Een lekker bed, een kleine badkamer met een fijne douche. Hondvriendelijk. Het was de mooiste en fijnste B&B van onze vakantie.

de kamer was wat warm doordat het buiten ook warm was. Er is een ventilator maar een klein raampje waardoor de warmte wat bleef hangen. De kamers zijn gehorig, maar iedereen was rustig dus daar hebben we zeker geen last van gehad.

Das The Plough Inn liegt idyllisch und ruhig in einem schönen Weiler in direkter Nähe zur jungen Themse. Es ist ein urgemütlicher, sehr stimmig gestalteter, sauberer, historischer Pup. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, reichlich und typisch englisch. Das Personal war freundlich und man ging bereitwillig auf unserem Wunsch ein, das Zimmer zu wechseln, da uns die Geräusche einer Kühlanlage im Bierkeller störten. Der Pup hat eine gemütliche Terasse, die von Wanderern und Einheimischen besucht wird. Das angebotene Essen ist lecker.

Really lovely countryside pub, great food. Very relaxed atmosphere, and staff all very friendly. The rooms were really clean and comfortable, and we loved that we could take our dog. It’s a great base to explore the Cotswolds, and a nice quiet location.

Quiet, friendly location. Staff were excellent and informative. Food was yummy and plenty to choose from.

Due to the very hot weather and there was no air con in rooms it made sleeping very difficult. Although there was a fan in the room it only had one speed and was quite noisy.

Petit hôtel (8 chambres ) ravissant dans la campagne anglaise. Le cadre est bucolique : départs de balades depuis l’hôtel… la Tamise est toute proche. Les célèbres villages des Costwolds sont accessibles en voiture mais l’hôtel est très au calme, ce qui est appréciable et reposant. Les chambres sont impeccables et décorées avec beaucoup de goût ! Arrivée facile et accueil très agréable. Le personnel est charmant. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé le cadre de la salle du petit déjeuner et le petit déjeuner varié : nous avons pris le full english . Nous y sommes restés 3 nuits en août. Il y faisait frais la nuit ( ventilateur dans la chambre très appréciable) malgré la canicule. Nous aimerions beaucoup revenir à une autre saison !

Prachtige locatie en super vriendelijk personeel. De locatie, met Kelmscott Manor en de meanderende Thames op een boogscheut, is het landelijke Engeland op zijn mooist! ❤️ Van hieruit ben je zo in Oxford of de Cotswolds. De pub en tuin zijn heel gezellig en de bediening hartverwarmend. Je voelt je meteen thuis. We hebben hier ook heel lekker gegeten, het keuzemenu bij het ontbijt is een troef (de avocado toast met gepocheerde eieren en chili is heerlijk 😋) Een absolute aanrader.

Er was geen airco op de kamer.

The front beer garden on a sunny afternoon in the middle of a peaceful village was perfect. The food was great. The welcome we received was so warm. Super dog friendly in the pub and the bedrooms.

Everything was perfect

The location was beautiful, the staff were so lovely and very attentive, breakfast was very tasty and a good portion.

The room was quite dusty, especially corners of the bathroom. Empty milk cartons left in the room, quite clearly not checked by housekeeping. Bathroom floor tiles lifting and I cut my toe from it. TV placed very high above the bed. Gap below the bedroom door and a slight gap at the side, meant we heard everything on the corridor. Breakfast times were short only 0800/0930.

We had such a lovely stay at The Plough Inn. The location was perfect for exploring all of the beautiful villages, and it was so nice coming back to the pub in the evening after a day out. The pub itself is very cosy and full of character, and our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The complimentary breakfast was also a real highlight. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had such a relaxed, homely feel. We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better stay and would happily come back again next time we're in the Cotswolds.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen, in unmittelbarer Nähe, von Kelmscott Manor. Die Themse ist fussläufig in ca. 7 Minuten erreichbar. Auf dem dortigen Footpath haben wir bei Sonnenuntergang Marmeladenglasmomente gesammelt. Es ist wunderschön dort. Gute Basis, um die Cotswolds zu erkunden. The Plough Inn ist ein wunderschönes verträumtes Haus, das bald 400 Jahre alt wird. Unser Zimmer (Willow) war wirklich gemütlich, die Spatzen, die in der efeuberankten Hauswand sitzen, sind der schönste Wecker. Das Bett und die kuschelige Bettwäsche waren auf unserer Reise eines der besten. Hier schläft man wunderbar. Das Essen und Frühstück im Pub war sehr lecker und ist absolut empfehlenswert. Der Biergarten war während unseres Aufenthaltes gut besucht, jedoch nicht störend. Beim nächsten Cotswolds Besuch würde ich wieder hier schlafen wollen!

Great location, very quiet, easy to get out and about from , really cosy, friendly feel to the place. Breakfast and the dinner we had were fab . Loved the tea and coffee facilities possibly have any water provided kept away from the window as it encourages it to get hot ( it has been exceptionally warm) I like the fact that I mentioned the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and without hesitation a solution was provided and a goodwill gesture made. That's the only reason I marked the cleanliness down on my scores , I guess the question is would I stay again at the booking.com price I got ? I would 👍🏼

A bigger selection of draught beers and ales

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall stay was pleasant. The location was also convenient for exploring the area.

Unfortunately, both of our rooms were very warm as there was no air conditioning, and one of them became particularly hot because it was exposed to direct sunlight. My mum struggled to sleep because of the heat and the noise from what seemed to be a fan or extractor outside the window. Breakfast was a little disappointing compared with the other pubs we stayed at during our trip. Although there was a selection, the healthier breakfast option we had planned to order had already run out at 8:30. We chose the Full English instead, but it wasn't as good as those we had elsewhere, and the toast arrived completely burnt (black) which should not have been served.

A cosy pub with excellent accomodation. Service was very good from the moment I arrived. Food was also very good. The location is very quite and close to River Thames and other places of interest.

Absolutely gorgeous setting, very quiet and quaint. The outdoor tables enabled us to enjoy the beautiful weather. The room was spacious, the bedsheets were very good quality as were the towels that weee provided. We also ate at the restaurant and the quality of the food was fantastic. During our stay it just seemed to be one staff member working and although he was extremely busy, he was very quick to serve us and very polite. Our room was called golden lily and only had a bathtub with a shower attachment which worked for us.

A lovely old pub, only stayed one night, staff were very lovely especially young girl who coped with a long power cut during the evening, staff made sure we had sandwiches due to lack of electricity and were very helpful under difficult circumstances.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti. La prima sera alle 8:30 ci hanno fatto cenare, la seconda sera alla 8:40 ci hanno cacciato perché la cucina era chiusa. La camera non era pulitissima e per il costo mi aspetterei di più

Idyllic country inn set in a quiet, unspoiled area with direct access to a beautiful walk along the Thames. Staff and breakfast were outstanding!

Great location, the staff were very friendly and we would love to come back! We were provided with a fan in the room which was much appreciated in the heat.

The bathroom was a little unclean but nothing major. We really felt there was a need for a mini fridge in the rooms especially during the summer months as the water provided was warm and the bar was closed so we were unable to get a cold refreshment.

Located in peaceful countryside

The property is old and not suitable if the temperature is above 25 degrees Celsius as all rooms are on the top floor under an old uninsulated shingle roof. IT IS VERY HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. There is NO Air Conditioning and the fan in our room was cheap and useless. The one window in the room faced onto the beer garden, so everybody stared into the room when open. Do Not Stay here in summer.

The room was as lovely as the photos on website and a great shower . The biscuits on tea tray were the cheapest though !

The pub dining area all felt a bit grubby. The meal was okay, but when presented with the bill, the prices for mains were higher than quoted on written menu. At breakfast, we were neither given nor offered tomato/brown sauces nor were we given any toast !!!! Have never had a breakfast when we were not given toast !!!

Struttura bellissima e tipica della zona, in campagna ma facilmente raggiungibile. Camera piccolina ma accogliente, con tutto l’occorrente per preparare un buon tè o caffè. Letto comodo. Colazione tipica con varie opzioni tra cui scegliere.

We loved the location. Staff really nice. Good welcome. Including our dog! Room fine. Clean. Good size bed. Ensuite very clean. Only thing is our lamps either side of our bed didn’t work. There were lights over the bed. So no big deal. Just had to get out of bed to switch them off. Garden outside was lovely and clean and very pretty. Meal was very tasty. Thank you. Prices about right for that location. Breakfast nice. Our Cockapoo Molly was offered a sausage. Nice touch. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We’ve left with bites on us both after 1 night !?? We had the last room overlooking the rear of the building. The place was a bit grubby, just not cleaned very well.

Sehr schöner, typisch englischer Pub mit urigen Zimmer. Sehr gutes Frühstück, gutes Pub-Essen am Abend. Zimmer waren zweckmäßig, schön eingerichtet und weitestgehend sauber. Lage war sehr ruhig und fußläufig zur Themse. Betten waren bequem.

Ersten Abend direkt sieben Mücken beseitigen. Kann das Hotel natürlich nichts für, aber nervig. Mit etwas Umsicht war es danach ruhig. Zimmer sind wie erwartet schon älter und die Sauberkeit könnte noch besser sein. Ruhige Lage bedeutet hier auch weit ab von anderen Orten. Im Ort selbst gibt es keine Geschäfte oder anderen Pubs.

Nice location, charming property

The room needed a little more thought. TV was positioned in front of mirror. Lack of space to put anything in bathroom, needed some hooks. Kettle had to be moved to plug it in as no socket near it.

Location is excellent in a quiet charming village perfect for visiting Kelmscott Manor. The building and gardens are lovely. Very comfortable bed, lots of hot water (but no heating) and overall helpful Staff

Our room Marigold was over the kitchen back door with noise and smells including staff smoking. The room lacked details we would expect for the price such as anywhere for luggage, comfortable chairs, curtains, place to dry towels and extra blankets. It was difficult to communicate dietary requirements such as no dairy. Difficult menu for vegetarians and vegans and expensive overall.
