Sehr schönes und gemütlich ausgestattetes Zimmer mit Bad und sehr bequemen King-Size-Bett. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen nett und herzlich mit guten Tipps für die Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist hochwertig, mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Es gibt unter anderem leckeres selbstgebackenes Brot, selbstgemachte Marmelade und frisches Obst. Der Ort hat viel Charme und wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge.

L'accueil des propriétaires, presque comme si on arrivait chez des connaissances. Ils connaissent bien la ville et les activités.

Tout était parfait! L'emplacement était magnifique avec la mer devant nous. Les propriétaires étaient vraiment gentils et attentionnés, ils ont apportés un aspect chaleureux à notre séjour. Les déjeuners étaient excellents.

la propreté, la gentillesse et les efforts des hôtes, le petit déjeuner correct, la convivialité avec les autres clients.

les toilettes et WC "privatifs" (vrai sous l'aspect privatif) séparés de la chambre (non mentionné) ce qui impose de traverser l'espace commun dont la salle à manger pour y accéder (d'où la présence de peignoirs) . l'étroitesse de la chambre (présence d'un fauteuil inutile et encombrant) alors qu'il n'y a pas de support de valise, armoire en partie réduite par une énorme couverture, place de parking un peu juste, Pour le petit déjeuner, le "pain doré" aurait mérité d'être "sur table" plutôt que de rester une option (que personne n'a choisi faute de savoir de quoi il s'agissait).

L accueil la gentillesse des hôtes

Sa situation géographique , face au fleuve avec couchers de soleil très beaux. Propreté de la chambre , accueil chaleureux des hôtes et très bons déjeuners.

Notre salle de bain était situé de l`autre côté du couloir et on devait passer en biais de la salle à manger où il y avait des clients qui déjeunait pour aller prendre notre douche .

Excellent accueil de Colbert et Francine. Très bon petit-déjeuner, soigné et constitué de produits maison. Belle vue depuis la chambre. En bordure du Saint-Laurent (en 2ème ligne).

Cadre un peu vieillot et salle de douche non attenante à la chambre.

Accueil chaleureux des proprios. Situation géographique parfaite pour moi. Excellents petits déjeuners maison. Chambre confortable et très propre, fonctionnelle. Maximum de 10 voyageurs à la fois dans la maison. Beauté environnante: chute à côté de la maison, bel aménagement paysager pour profiter du lieu, vue sur le fleuve et accès au fleuve à proximité, à quelques kms de la piscine municipale à l'eau salée surplombant le fleuve et d'une belle plage adjacente, le tout parfait pour une nageuse comme moi !

Si cela est possible, augmenter la pression d'eau dans la douche.

We were welcomed with the smell of freshly baked bread and a big smile. This is a lovely, homely place to stay with great views and an amazing home cooked breakfast.

The Area is unique and picturesque, the sunset view is unique too. The property is nice and clean, and, the owner couple is welcoming and friendly.

Though it doesn't say, to get to the private bathroom from the family room you have to exit the room. The bathroom though is private. The room we had was downstairs, so you can't sleep in after everyone else in the house is up, because you can hear everything from upstairs

we loved everything about our stay!

Our visit to Git Chute Couette in Notre Dame du Portage exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were so nice and informative, and the little village is incredibly picturesque, with lots of historical panels (in French only, however) explaining the architecture and historical people (including former Prime Ministers) who had stayed there. The breakfast was lovely, and they were able to provide gluten-free options.

The location is beautiful. A short walk to the St. Lawrence beach to view the sunset. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very accommodating of our desired time to eat. The waterfall and patio are a very nice place to relax and unwind after a long drive.

We loved our two nights here. Room was small but extremely comfortable with great bed and furnishings and view of the river. Beautiful outdoor patio beside waterfall, and wonderful balcony to watch the sunset from. So quiet and peaceful. Hosts were warm and welcoming and breakfast each day was a highlight; delicious muffins accompanied a hot breakfast, served with good cheer and conversation. We hope to stay here again someday.

The place is fine and friendly, but the pillows are so soft that it was hard to fall asleep.

We had a warm welcome from the owners; they showed us everything. It was very comfortable. Nice breakfast at a table with other guests. Location is quite close to the beach; just across the street. A short drive to the restaurants/shops of Rivière-du-Loup. Pretty spot with a small waterfall beside them.

Property owner is very nice and helpful. The location is great. You are right across the street from the St Lawerence river with easy access. You can walk to a couple of great restaurants. They also have laundry facilities which many B&B’s do not offer.

Our stay at the Gite Chute Couette & Cafe was perhaps the best B&B experience we have ever had. Our host was thoroughly congenial, attentive to every question and need, provided copious info about local sites, and prepared sumptuous breakfasts with variety. Despite the circumstance that his wife was away for a family need, we noticed no lack in service or thoughtfulness. He is discrete and courteous , as well as a great conversationalist. He seemed to instinctively know when presence was required and when absence was appropriate. In addition, the Notre-Dame-du-Portage region offers scenic views and several accessible activities...especially whale viewing on the St. Lawrence. Furthermore, local restaurants are great, especially Auberge sur Mer...just 5 minutes walk from the B&B. We highly recommend this B&B!!

Very friendly bilingual staff. I slept next to a waterfall and had it's lovely sound lull me to sleep. The access to the shore on the St.Lawrence River was very easy and the sunset was gorgeous. The breakfast had many options including adaptations for my husband's food sensitivities. Our conversation was friendly and lively. I'll never forget this experience.

The house was quaint, lovely and very easy to find. Charles, our host, was more than accommodating. Pleasant and helpful, even making us dinner reservations at a lovely restaurant. Wonderful place to stay in Notre-Dame-du-Portage. Francine and Colbert are welcoming, hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are clean and comfortable, some with views of the St. Lawrence. Calming sounds of the chute (waterfall) next door. We saw a spectacular sunset. Breakfast, prepared by the hosts was equally good. We would love to return.

Owner was so kind and helpful. Not only did he recommend a restaurant and reserve a table for us, he also gave us a ride so we didn’t have to take our uhaul trailer!!! Breakfast topped all of our stays throughout our trip across Canada!

A beautiful spot about 7 minutes from Riviere du Loup . There was an accessible beach right across the street in a pretty and quiet neighbourhood. The host , Colbert was a helpful and super pleasant host.

This b&b is off the beaten path but a great place to stop when going between the Maritimes and Ontario. We enjoyed how our hosts had created a lot of common space where you cpuld relax both inside and out. The room was fairly compact but with such a nice balcony to hang out on and a lovely garden in back it didnt matter. After having experienced complimentary hotel breakfasts elsewhere it was nice to have a complimentary breakfast that was better than most hotels expensive breakfasts.

We stopped here on our way to the Maritimes and really enjoyed our visit. The view is spectacular, the rooms are extremely clean and the owners were so friendly and made you feel so welcome. The breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend.

beautiful location. walking distance to walk along St Lawrence. Immaculate room. beautiful little private patio to sit with lovely view of private little waterfall. Our hosts treated us to a wonderful breakfast with 5 different choices!! We wanted for nothing during our stay. It was by far the best B&B we visited during our trip.

We were travelling from Pictou, Nova Scotia after attending my daughter’s wedding and decided we would book overnight lodging at this lovely B&B. The owners were extremely cordial and welcoming, the rooms were cozy and comfortable and the evening view was breathtaking with the St. Lawrence literally steps away and the mountains off in the distance. We had a very restful night and a breakfast the next morning set at the most pretty table that was scrumptious. We will be sure to return!

I may not be a good candidate for gites. I found the room very cramped, with unnecessary furniture. No one spoke English although they were capable of doing so. The bed was good and the breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and looking at the river.
