Carleton Motel and Coffee Shop

Spacious rooms. Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom sparkled. The restaurant was closed and we would have liked a coffee in the room.

Could use some fresh bedspreads and linen.

A little pricey for the age of the hotel.

The motel is located inside Highland National Park.

The most challenging thing was that the rooms were very cold and the thermostat/heat was turned off. One extra blanket didn't do the trick.

The owners were very flexible about the arrival time (we got there in the middle of the night), and they even agreed to move our booking up by a day without any extra fee. We were taking the ferry from Magdalen Island, and it was moved up because of the bad weather coming. We really appreciated it!

I didn’t receive a reply to my emails or messages, but I was able to get an answer by phone.

Nothing. Also didn’t stay long enough to see much.

The place stunk. The bathroom door didn’t close. Then the best part … you can hear kids screaming and people talking super loud. But why can you hear them? Because there isn’t even a full wall. There’s a door that you can’t open anymore but can see under into the room in back of you. It was crazy. Avoid at all costs. The people were super rude hung up on the booking.com representative when trying to figure something out. Bad bad bad.

Il est 16h30 alors que je suis encore devant la porte de l'hotel dans la pluie.le lundi après midi dernier,notre accueil dans cet hôtel a été sous forme de harcèlement.j'ai reçu ni cide pour la porte ni information et quand j'ai conteste le retard de mon entrée a l'hotel il m'a dit"si tu n'est pas content tu peux annuler.

J'ai rien apprécié dans cet hôtel et en particulier le proprietaire

The Breakfast was great the one and only morning we had it. I was wanting French toast and the lady did an excellent job with it. And wife had eggs becon and toast was great.

It is very close to highway 1. And that where the main traffic comes and goes from the bridge. The room we had had something like apartment out back of the room kids very noisy. I spoke to them about it and told me he would take care of it. We left things in the room. Like suitcase and other stuff. They never picked up dirty towels and facecloths. So I asked them why and he said they wouldn’t go in to do them things when our stuff was there without permission. So I gave them permission the next day and we removed most of our things. Left hair brush and our own bar of Dail soap that we use. It was wrapped in a paper towel. When we got back them 2 things were no where to be found I suppose in the trash. The place is busy because it the first place you see coming onto the island. And had vancany. We booked for one of the cheaper places and a bed and breakfast and this came up. So I guess what I’m saying is there are a lot better places from the outside I’m saying but probably more expensive. So we probably got what we paid for. Who knows. But knowing what I do now if and when it will be different the next time.

Price too high for what we got, no breakfast included and the smoke alarm was chirping so it was removed and not replaced.

I chose this hotel because it was just over the bridge after driving 8 hours. It was nice to have 2 sinks in the room. The beds were comfortable

The coffee shop offered no discounts or breakfast. The decor is VERY dated. We were awakened by an employee opening our door our last morning. It was quite a surprise. We decided it was time to leave because we couldn't go back to sleep

J'aurais aimé avoir accès à du café sur place, soit une cafetière, une machine ou que le petit resto rend accessible le café pour les voyageurs qui doivent quitter tôt le matin.

It was quiet, comfortable. Table and chairs for playing cards. Best shower I ever had. Microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed.

I should have taken my own pillow. They were pretty soft.

The air conditioning is very noisy. You can also hear other person talks in the next room. The towel smells. Noone to make the bed after 1st night stay.

There was no Breakfast or food at all. The restaraunt was closed. The heat wasn't on in the room so need to used space - portable heater. It not sufficient and was Very noisy. There was No compensation or reduction in price for this issue.

The staff were not friendly. The room had no toilet paper at all when we got there. The sheets were not really clean. Couldn't open the windows as.tjr fly screen was cut in half. The sign on the back of the front door said the office opened at 7am and mentioned they would have hot food and coffee available to purchase. Office not open had to ring the bell to drop the key off. Was greeted with not a smile just a nod. Expected a little more for the money.

The room was very clean! The bed was quite comfortable!

Pillows could have been a little better. The bedspread or duvet could have been a little cleaner! The person on the registration desk could have been a little more welcoming and not so matter of fact.

Just okay. Unfriendly staff, felt like we were bothering them while checking in. Stained linens. Office was always closed so we could not get a receipt. Book only if absoluely necessary.

Parking stall is convenient in front of the room

We booked it for the location and playground, but will not book again. Listing and photos say there’s a playground, coffee maker in each room and a restaurant. I asked twice about the restaurant and menu. Was told it’s only breakfast, but no menu or suggestions of food options. There was supposed to be coffee maker in the room but instead we had to pay $3 for a coffee from the cafe. Room was supposed to be queen beds but it was double beds instead. I was hoping once we arrived we could get food and let the kids play, instead we had to travel more for food and playground.

Clean rooms, convenient for the Terry Fox Run

Hotel listed as coffee shop but no menus although they did have coffee. Heat didn't work in room. Convenient for staying overnight close to bridge.

Full kitchen was a lovely addition!

Run down old motel, staff is nice enough and the rooms are clean enough , however everything is dated and rustic.

Clean, with tiny kitchenette, roomy, needs a coffee machine.
