The Beach Boutique

Food was amazing and the rooms have all you need. Hot water on point and water pressure too (if you care about hose things)

No complaints

What an excellent find, big room that was bigger than expected, nicely furnished and a big comfy bed!. Bathroom was large and luxurious, the walk in shower room was bigger that some hotel rooms I have stayed in! The sea view and large balcony tops off the stay. The hosts were polite and friendly and transported us to the airport which is about 20 minutes away. Breakfast was served with a large array of items, and this alone made it worth staying here. If you want to avoid the noise and chaos of Colombo when flying in and out of the airport, give this place a try. Its makes your journey so much more relaxed. I know we will be using it again. Hard to beleive they can provide what they do for such a low price!

Patrick was brilliant ! So helpful and pleasant. We were almost the only guests due to the war so it is a very difficult time for everyone. The food was great too - unbelievable breakfast ! The pool was nice.

The property was a little tired and sadly some things need to be replaced or repaired. The room wasn’t serviced ?

We booked this hotel as we needed 8 days accommodation before our delayed flight home to the UK because of the middle east crisis. The room was fabulous, lots of space, decent furniture and storage, great aircon and lovely bathroom. Wifi was good too. Staff and management were very attentive and friendly. Pool is great, food was superb and lots of it. The hotel sits on the beach. you can't swim on this coast but the sand is golden and you can sunbathe both at the hotel and on the beach. The hotel sits in a fairly quiet area between Negombo and Colombo and we were able to get to both cities by Uber for around £5. There are shops half a mile away which we walked to easily on several occasions for a few snacks and extra provisions. Great value for money. We would highly recommend.

Everything was great. They might need a few more sun loungers when the hotel is busier but we were fine.

Right by the sea. Spacious room and very helpful staff.

Manager/eigenaar? was heel aardig. Niets te klagen over dit hotel.

Lite intimt hotell, kun 10 rom. Perfekt plassert i forhold til flyplassen. Hotellet ordnet med transport. God mat, hyggelig betjening. Flott basseng.

Staff and breakfast

We booked a deluxe room but bathroom and room were not up to scratch.

Wszystko ok. Polecamy

Ruime kamer, ruime en comfortabele badkamer, zeer goed ontbijt. Dicht bij de luchthaven

Niets

Alle vom Personal waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit

It was my second time at Beach Boutique and both of the times it was to attend another event nearby. So basically i spent the night only. But its met my expectations to the fullest. The room was clean and the hotel is not over crowded. Great room and the cleanliness is commendable.

Cant compaint about anything. The place is quite serene and met my expectations.

Lokacija.

Overall a fairly satisfying accommodation. Very good location if you need to stay close to the airport. Directly by the sea with a nice, spacious pool. Rooms smelled very pleasant and were large, comfortable.

Pool could have been cleaner. Bathrooms also needed better cleaning. Location is mainly suitable for airport Transfer; not much to do for tourists nearby. Airport transfer is not included, so make sure to keep some local currency for transportation

I had a mixed stay at the hotel. The staff were supportive and friendly, and the beachfront breakfast was a highlight. The room was specious with a balcony.

The room needed more attention to cleanliness. The hotel's location was a bit isolated with no nearby groceries or restaurants. Plus, noise from next door till 1:30 after midnight was a big downside.

Mooie grote kamer, smaakvol ingericht. Lekker eten en ontbijt. Fijn en vriendelijk personeel.

Niks, alles prima

Duży przestronny pokój i duża łazienka.

Sea and people , also food and breakfast

Clima it’s not working and in room was too much hot

Hyvä ruoka.

Sijainti

Nice beach front hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nice outdoor pool

Challenging location for getting taxis

Everything went well! I came for 2 nights as a stop in Colombo on my way to Arugam Bay. It was above my expectations. The room was large, with a balcony offering a view of the sea and pool. Very clean. The pool was clean and nice to swim. The staff was so nice, warm, and friendly, and they helped with everything I needed. They sent me a driver to take me from the airport. The food was great and tasty. The place is quiet and you can take a walk on the beach straight from the hotel garden. I didn't go around in the neighborhood because I didn't stay in Colomco, so I don't know if the location for traveling is good, but for my own purpose, it was perfect for me. Thank you for the amazing hosting, I'm sure I'll get back there on my way back. highly recommended.

Amazing place. Really very clean. Fantastic beds and food. Also super clean swimming pool

Can not swim at the Beach (Can walk)

excellent staff, wonderful pool, very good food, extremely good value per money

The place was great unfortunately as I had to attend a meeting only could spent a few hours although I booked a night and planned to check out the next day. Room was clean and comfortable. A Pensive location doesn’t look busy or interrupted by oozing crowds. It was close to the Colombo airport and we were waiting to receive a friend, so even though it was not on leisure and was a quick stop to rest awhile before the departure, I liked the short stay made here

It’s close to the airport yet right on the beach, so it’s better than most of the airport hotels.

It is not possible to get a taxi from the hotel to the airport and we ended up having to pay the hotel staff well above market rate for a ride there. Same thing happened to a friend who stayed there one week later.

Totally everything: staff, food, location, pool, seashore, room, garden, view.

All was perfect

We arrived at the little boutique hotel about 3:00 am. Everything was closed up and we had to knock to have someone open up the hotel. The location can be difficult to find as there is no big signs. It's in a quiet neighborhood filled with small hotels and homes. The closest stores are about 20 minutes away by foot. The hotel is located next to the beach. The beach is okay, but the pool area is much nicer. The reef/rocks comes up to the shore. The rooms are pretty basic. It was clean, but I did find a roach crawling along the floor. We did half-board which included breakfast and dinner. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about.

It was old materials and furniture in side the room The bed and sheet was not good Sofa was ripped off

The walla were scratching. The metal shower room was rotten

From start to finish Joseph and his staff looked after us all very well. We felt very safe and very much at home. Every breakfast and evening meal Patrick looked after us like royalty Fresh fruit and deliciously cooked meals were always served outdoor looking onto the Indian Ocean. The chef was terrific. One could not ask for anything more. Real Paradise, A beautiful clean swimming pool was also there if it got too hot. Rooms and bathroom ensuites were spacious and clean. The hotel was in a great location. The peace and quite here was most welcome. Privacy of the place was also great. Joseph helped us getting an auto rickshaw to local cities, Negombo or Colombo......incredible and memorable sight seeing. Close distance to International Airport was also an added bonus of this hotel. I could not recommend this place - The Beach Boutique , in Uswetakeiyawa - highly enough. People make places . Joseph and his staff pay great attention to detail, and in doing so gave me one of the best memorable holidays I am ever likely to experience.

Nothing. All good.

Beautifully situated pool with a view to the sea. Very nice room with a view to the pool. High comfort and helpful staff

I loved everything especially the people such as Joseph and Patrick and the ambiance so overall it was a very positive experience!

No complaints at all!

Bed

TV not working No internet on the WiFi connection Owner disputed this when I told him Swimming pool water not clear No bath mat Scratchy towels Scammed on my ride to the airport

The dining area and the bar is right next to the sea. All other facilities were great including the outdoor swimming pool and large rooms. The food was fantastic too. Should also mention the friendly staff that made the stay extra memorable.

Lovely tranquil hotel with very attentive staff overlooking the beach. Best pool of our entire month in Sri Lanka. Food cooked fresh to order. Strong currents mean you are advised not to swim in the sea. Lovely rooms. Easy transfer to airport and close enough to do day trip to Colombo.

Do not book this hotel - we arrived at 10pm and were unable to get in for half an hour. Once we did get to our room, it was infested with bed bugs. The area made it impossible to get a taxi to a new hotel. We are also struggling to get a refund from the hotel for this.

Overall good option to stay before the flight. close to the airport

Room and facilities are basic and quite old. There is no possibility to swim in the sea

Very good location after flight . Place is beautifull with big swimming pool in front of the beach. Personnal very nice and food very good also.

Great Pool with half of it in the shade. Good bar service to enjoy my last relaxing day before flying out.

Access to the beach was available, but questioned by staff why I wanted to go for a walk on the beach and talked out of it.

This is a beautiful hotel set in a peaceful area. Perfect place to relax. We never stay anywhere else

Everything was very clean. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

Duvet had stains on.

Amazing facilities and staff!

Calmness Quiet Clean modern rooms Good pool Beach view

Nothing to complain

Nice accommodation, the rom was big enough, pool in the hotel area was great. You can go directly to the beach. Hotel is about 20 minutes ride from airport. We can have airport transport and early check in so it was very good benefit after long flight.

It is in the middle of nowhere. It is not possible to enter the sea here (safety reasons)

Friendly staff. Rooms and spaces very nicely decorated with sea/shells. All very clean. Bathroom looked great-well above (Sri Lanka) standard. Many little details to make person feel good. Thanks.

N/A We only stayed 1 night, last one before going to airport. Nice ending of our Sri Lanka trip .

Breakfast was really good. They prepared fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, everything with care.

There was a party next to the hotel , but the music was not really heard from inside the rooms.

Close to Airport. Very courteous staff

Difficult to get Uber or local transport on busy evenings . Hotel may be able to help.

Staff tried their best

We arrived seeing an event from an investment company, we were not told but was loud, and we could not even use the facilities (pool etc.). Then we could only start sleeping 11:30pm when the music finally ended (with young kids). If we just would have been informed, but were totally surprised. The rooms and the facilities were almost disgusting, we didn't feel comfortable at all. Would never recommend to go there again

Used this hotel for overnight stay prior to airport departure early next morning. Arrived late, but great that the kitchen was still open. Enjoyed a reasonable meal and the hotel looked very nice and beachside at the back with an attractive swimming pool. Room was comfortable and was advertised with Wifi. This was very spotty and unreliable and basically didn't work at all for a few hours.

This hotel is still a fair way away from the airport. Allow plenty of time to get there with traffic. During our 1 evening there, a business document needed to be sent. Despite best efforts it took a number of hours to get the WiFi to work reliably.

A wonderful location right by the sea and near the airport for an early flight Beautiful pool and very comfortable room with lovely bathroom and great shower

Nothing

Helpful staff, big size rooms, excellent food options & sea side location

None

Everything was good The sea and everything around Good place to relax

Staff and service good

The staff here are lovely and go to great lengths to make guests happy. They assisted me even before we got to the hotel by contacting a tour company to ask for a new start time due to a delayed flight. The rooms are kept very tidy and quite clean. Each had a lovely view of the pool and the ocean. Overall, it’s clear the staff really make an effort to do good work in what they can control. We were served a tasty western-style breakfast.

They don’t actually have a 24hr reception as advertised on this site. I spent a lot of time keeping them updated about my arrival time due to my delayed flight. Each time I updated them, they said any time I show up will be OK. It was not OK. We showed up around 2am as I forecasted and the hotel was completely locked up. I’m very grateful to our transfer driver for staying with us. This was very stressful and we had to make a lot of noise to wake up the security guard to let us in. And then, had to wait even longer to have someone show us to our room. This is not what having a 24 hour reception means. Our room (number 22) seemed to have rising damp around the AC unit area. If you’re looking for a really peaceful area, I don’t think this hotel is it. It’s not really in their control, but it seems to be next to some sort of hostel/beach club/party venue and there was music blaring all evening and all day for part of our 2-day stay. The rooms are designed so well that you don’t hear much road noise, but anything happening on the beachside is very audible including this awful techno music. I’m sure it’s not pleasant for the staff either.

Quiet place with big rooms and very helpful staff.

The wifi wasn’t working so well…

This is such a beautiful establishment, the pool is really big and clean and right next to the ocean where you can hear the waves and see Colombo City skyline in the distance. The bed was the most comfy bed we had in Sri Lanka and a big beautiful clean room. The staff were so helpful with organising transport and very friendly

Ideal for a comfortable and beautiful view location before a flight home. The Dutch Trails is a great restaurant close by for a superb evening meal. Staff were exceptional and very flexible for payments and arranging taxi and tuk tuks. Good food for lunch too!

The staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the aircon was perfect!

Staying at this hotel was a big value of money.. From the staff that were always around and friendly.. Quality of food enjoyed it very much with Chef Malijn.. Compliments to Patrick vishal weithana and all the staff that made my solo trip joyful.. Ashraf

The hotel is big, with a nice large garden. We stayed just for a night, the room and toilet were clean and comfortable and we were very well attended. They also organized our transfer to the airport (25 mins away).

Nice property on the beach near the airport very good breakfast

Good rooms with quiet AC and lovely view to pool and ocean. Pool area with eating area superb.

Lift no working

Everything. Very well thought out property with a shaded pool on a scorching hot day. A well stocked bar with a modest but very satisfying menu. Great communication with the staff. Unfortunately our stay was brief. An overall great place to unwind.

Nothing.

I’ve been to this property before and what brought me back is the location and the pleasantness experienced before . I think the management has changed since and the property is showing few parts wear and tear especially in the common areas . But the staff remains lovely . We came in pretty late in the evening and the manager had informed the staff well and check in was a breeze .

A few maintenance issues seem evident ; such as the elevator not working and the walls by the pool showing a lot of water damage which need to be looked after

The pool was clean and it was really close to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and the service was good. However, when I tried to contact the hotel to inform them that I was running late, there was no response from the staff. It would be rather inconvenient if there was an emergency and you wanted to get in touch with the hotel.

Facilities show some age. Location is very nice by the shore. Attentive employees. Good food but breakfast is extremely expensive for the institution.

The staff were lovely, rooms very comfortable and the food was delicious.. I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and location along the beach front.
