Hemsetunet Apartments

Great location - even though the street is noisy. Trucks drive past 24/7. Great apartment but a bit worn down. Had trouble getting lights to work. Knobs came of the drawers. It was fine, but could use a little fix-up.

Skidsemester med familjen. Mysig lägenhet, bra planerad för 4-5 personer. Nytt kök och badrum med golvvärme. Det enda som saknades var ett torkskåp, annars var allt toppen!

Mye støy fra bilveien, lukt fra søppelkasser og røyklukt. Harde madrasser og enkel standard.

Veldig lytt mellom leilighetene. Mye støy på natten. Elles fin leilighet

Awful,rang numbers provided no one ever answered.No outside lights after arriving in the dark.Apartment was tired and in welcoming,you have to pay extra for bed linen and towels,despite having a double bed and duvet I only received 1 pillow case and two pillows. Absolutely awful.

Property had what we needed. Could use some better lighting. Comfortable stay.

Die Unterkunft war zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Wir kamen sehr spät und der Check in war gut vorgeplant und vorbereitet. Eine Parkmöglichkeit war kostenfrei und für uns nicht einsehbar von der Unterkunft aus. Bei unserer Weiterreise am 12.08.23 nach Bergen mussten wir feststellen, dass an allen vier Rädern die Radmuttern gelockert waren. Zwei waren an einem Vorderrad nicht mehr vorhanden. Das war eine erschreckende Erfahrung.

Romslig og fin leilighet til en fornuftig pris. Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet.

Fantastisk sted, venlige personale. Eneste ulemper var sengen, som var ubehagelige at sove i.

Trenger en oppgradering! Dårlig lydisolering vinduer, samt kjølig inne.

Grei beliggenhet i forhold til jakt

Leiligheten var overraskende stor, og hadde 6 senger, samt badstue. Der var også peis, men ikke nødvendig å fyre opp i den. Det var greit utstyrt kjøkken, inkl oppvaskmaskin og kjøleskap med fryser. Utvendig bar det preg av mange gjester med slalåmstøvler, som de sikkert hadde forsøkt å ta av seg på nederste trinn:-)

La casa è grande, comoda, ha tutto, c’è un solo difetto, che si trova sopra un ristorante il quale ha un frigo che si sente quando stacca e attacca. Alla fine non è stato un gran problema. Per il resto siamo stati bene.

Mycket bättre än att hyra ett litet hotellrum för dubbla priset. Blir nog att hyra igen nån gång!

Rena, stora ytor. Sköna sängar. Nyrenoverat badrum och kök. Lugnt och tyst, men det var nog lågsäsong när vi var där.

En god lejlighed i Hemsedal, hvor alt var ok.

Oppholdet ble slik jeg hadde ønske om, enkelt og greit.

Dejligt sted, stort og rent. Ligger i centrum og tæt på forretninger og spisestederne. Man får meget for pengene. Vi vil gerne komme igen næste gang vi besøger Hemsedal.

Dejligt sted med god beliggenhed. God plads med flot køkken og stue. Lækkert badeværelse med dejlig sauna. Der er dog en lille minus, der mangler skabsplads i værelserne. Alt i alt en virkelig god lejlighed til prisen. Man får MEGET for pengene.

Sentralt og bra sted.

Kjempe trivelige, nyopopussede leiligheter i sentrum av hemsedal. Vi var veldig fornøyd med oppholdet vårt. Kan anbefales!

Sentralt beliggende med matbutikk rett over veien og turstier i gangavstand. Deilig med varme i gulvene. Litt trang dobbeltseng. Kunne med hell ha vært vaskemaskin. Alt i alt veldig fornøyd!

Ringte og gav beskjed om at jeg kom til å sjekke inn sent. Det var ikke noe problem, nøkkel ville bli lagt ut i en kasse. Fant nøkkelen i en konvolutt. Der stod det at sengetøy kunne leies. Så der stod jeg ved midnatt. Stengt resepsjon, ingen sengetøy og ikke engang håndkle var det i leiligheten. Neste morgen ble jeg møtt av en sur dame i resepsjonen. Var tenkt å ta opp dette med sengetøy og hånkle men orket ikke. Styr unna.......

En god oplevelse selvom det regnede næsten hele tiden

Grei leilighet for overnatting. Ligger rett mot veien gjennom Hemsedal, så sånn sett litt bråkete. Helt grei standard. Hyggelig betjening som hjalp med litt tidlig innsjekk. Dyrt å leie sengetøy når man bare skal være en natt.

Kun overnatting på vei til Vestlandet. Fungerte fint med nøkkel i kasse og grei beskrivelse av rommet. Litt dårlig å ta 175 kr pr sengesett når det i tillegg var obligatorisk. Vi endte opp med å betale nesten like mye for sengetøy som for overnatting.

Vi var på sykkeltur og alt fungerte veldig bra. Men i Hemsedal er det ikke mye folk på denne tiden av året.

Leiligheten inneholdt alt vi trengte for en overnatting. WiFi var litt ustabilt. Fin beliggenhet i sentrum.

Vi kom sent på kvelden, skulle bare overnatte på veien. Alt var på plass da vi kom. Stort og romslig for oss 4

Stoppade här i en natt på väg till Flåm. Stället är fint, och man får mycket för pengarna.

We stayed in apartment 3 - 6beds, however only two bed rooms. Last bed is in a open space on the loft. A small kitchen area and living room gives a practical apartment. No luxury, but you have the most essentials covered. The bed are not very comfortable, hard edges. The Sauna was also at loft. We didnt test it. You may hire bed linen and towels for an extra fee. Cleaning is also an extra fee. The location is in the city center of Hemsedal and close to supermarket, bar and restaurants. Recommend Hemsedal cafe and the tapas bar at Skogstad Hotel. It is a free bus going every 20min to the ski slopes. If you bring a car it is parking lot outside the apartment.

There were not many hotels and apartments, especially apartments with kitchens since we were looking for a place where we can cook, that we could find available for booking on English language booking sites in town or by the slopes. Hemsetunet was one, Skogstad Hotel and Cafe Skiers Lodge were the other two. Other accommodation were either booked or seemed to be fully booked or I just couldn't find the booking agent or website. When it came to decision time, the room we were eyeing at Cafe Skiers was taken and there were reviews about Skogstad which said they were looking to force-charge for linen (including charging for toilet paper) and for cleaning that created some reservations about Skogstad in our minds. We have no major complaints about Hemsetunet. The place was clean and had well-equipped kitchen. We slept well and no issues at all. No problems with linen, (most accommodation here at this level requires you to provide your own linen or pay the hotel to rent), toilet paper, electrical points and we tried to keep the place as clean as we could like we would our own home so we had no cleaning charge issues. The number 1 and 4 restaurants (Kjokken Kroken and T-Kroken - the later served delicious burgers) were just downstairs. It's just across the street from a supermarket (Coop Extra) and petrol kiosk (Shell) and many shops and in the heart of town - very convenient location. It's a 5min drive from the slopes - not walkable but there's a skiers shuttle provided by the ski resort operator. We arrive late (8.30pm). The front office was closed but we found our keys in a box just outside the office. However, the beds were not your standard hotel room beds and had hard edges so if you were taller or bigger, you might find yourself sleeping on the hard edges of the bed. The sauna in the room either took a long time to heat up or didn't get hot enough or I didn't know how to operate it. There was a fridge but no freezer. (there is supermarket just across which operates 7 days a week and opens till late so not a big problem.) Internet was patchy and not great especially if streaming video and uploading or downloading photos. Overall, it was clean, comfortable, well-heated, nice sized seating and kitchen areas and can accommodate up to 5 comfortably although there were only 3 in our party this time.

Vi var der to netter og alt fungerte bra. Veldig bra pris er mer spent på hva det ville ha kostet nærmere høysesong.

Leilighet i sentrum av Hemsedal med gode fasiliteter! Kanskje litt utdatert i stil men det var rent og stor nok plass til 4-5 personer!

We stayed here for 1 night in appartment #11. It was quite a big appartment with plenty of room. All was clean and comfortable. Was missing a few kitchen essentials though, but this didn't bother us much. Late/Early check-in and -outs are really easy, you can just pick up and hand in your key in a wooden box next to the recepton.

In general, nice lodge-syle place. But you need to bring your own bed linen, pillow cover, and towel. They provide ones at request but it was 150nok per person. They also charge for a cleaning fee. They don't have 24 hour counter but you can call them and order bed linen, etc, unless it is too late at night. You need to call them if you will arrive after 5pm or so.

Dette er leiligheter som du selv må vaske ut, leie sengesett (150kr pr pers i tillegg til prisen). Om du ikke vasker etter deg koster dette også penger (alt fra 400 til 1000). Vil nok ikke bo her igjen. Om jeg ikke har med egen sovepose og skal bo her sammen med kompiser i en uke eller så. Ikke noe for par. Dyrt.

You can ski back to this apartment, has a sauna inside! Compared to the cramped apartments in the French Alps this was really spacious! Basic kitchen but functional. Supermarket directly opposite so a real bonus.

Fab appartment plenty of room, fully usable kitchen, fireplace and sauna. Perfect location for food and shopping. Easy quick bus ride to slopes on free ski bus and very helpful tourist office. Kids loved the snow and it was very well priced for snowboard hire. On the slopes they have some fantastic wood bbq cabins that you can cook food in and sit and warm up. Cant wait to return.

Staff very friendly when made check in. After that, I realize around 19:30 that there is no hot/warm water and being a family with two children including a baby, that was very strange. Nobody answer to the phone indicated, so we considered that as our " experience" on Hemsetunet. Next day, the friendly attendant felt sorry for us and confirmed that we could easily have had another room as being pretty available at that time. The problem is if no answer to a phone call at 7 pm, what else to ask for? I must say we had plenty of space with several rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Nice place, including on summer, but on winter is when is probably great.

It is cheap, so the expectations were not high, but... Lot of things didn´t work: TV, heating, lamps, Internet. They were not able to fix it while we were there. A lot stuff in the kitchen were missing, like coffee-machine, cuttlery, toaster + a lot more. Ended up paying mote than promised. Bad service and unfriedly people working there was the worst, and pulled the rating from a 2 to a 1...

My girlfriend and I spent a week in Hemsedal, staying in the Hemsetunet apartments. The apartments are located in the center of Hemsedal, in front of the petrol station. Hemsedal is a small town, so the apartments were conveniently located for all the amenities in the town. There is a ski bus to the ski center that runs approximately every hour. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Hemsetunet apartments to the bus stop, which can be tiring when lugging skis, poles and boots. The Hemsetunet apartments are the upper floor of a two story building, over bars, shops and offices. At night it can be noisy from the bars below, but only for a few hours from about 10pm to midnight. Inside the apartments are simply decorated and cosy with lots of wood, a functional kitchen and a fireplace. Our apartment had two bedrooms - both with bunk beds, to our disappointment. The open fire was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and reading in front of the fire. A balcony walkway wrapped around the apartment which was nice, but also meant that on occasion people were walking past the window. Although the Hemsetunet apartments are opposite the petrol station, the views from the windows are great, as the mountains are very close and spectacular. One of the main reasons we chose Norway for our winter holiday was to try out snowmobiling and husky sleighs. We did both and it was great! The huskies were just fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon zooming around the Norwegian wilderness pulled by six dogs! The skiing in Hemsedal was good, and as we expected. The mountains are not as high as the alps, but the skiing is varied and can be challenging. The slopes were quiet during the week and busy on the weekends. In fact the whole town of Hemsedal seemed to come alive at the weekend. There are a number of bars and restaurants throughout the town, although not as many as expected, and the Ski Center area has a couple of bars and restaurants. It was fairly dull compared to the après ski scene in the alps. We also found food and drink to be expensive. We took taxis to the snowmobiling and husky sleighs which were also expensive – in hindsight it would have been better to rent a car. Overall we enjoyed Hemsedal and the Hemsetunet apartments. The highlights were snowmobiling and husky sleighs, and relaxing in front of the lovely log fire. The Hemsetunet apartments were cosy and functional. On the downside the town was a little too quiet and expensive.
