Jewel on the Hill Bed & Breakfast

Linda was so welcoming. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. The bed was SO comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had the best time with Linda and Gord!! Exceptional hospitality and lots of laughs. Delicious breakfasts, gorgeous home and lovely, lovely hosts. You will definitely leave Jewel on the Hill with a tummy full of food and a heart filled with new friends and memories. Thank you Linda and Gord! We hope to see you again sometime.

Par la suite, c'est le tour guidé de la maison qui commence. Le décor et le choix des meubles vous emmène ailleurs, un vrai charme en soi. Linda & Gord are the most outstanding hosts on the planet! You are right at home from the second you enter the front door! Beautiful & massive log home, tucked nicely away in the forest, but convenient to some amazing restaurants. Rooms were large & beautifully decorated and there were plenty of outdoor decks to lounge and relax and hear the birds singing. I don’t think you will find better anywhere. The breakfast was delicious also. For supper, we drove to a local restaurant and Linda called ahead to make sure we had a table. The hosts were amazing, yes, I repeat! We will be back. Amazing!

B&B was unique and, given more time and better weather, surrounding property would have been interesting to explore. Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed deluxe room and charming hosts all contribute to this positive rating.

Out of the way..quiet, beautiful place, uniquely decorated- up scale. Amazing hostess. Will go back for sure.

Beautiful secluded home. Rooms are vary large and beautifully decorated. Air-conditioning on lower level bedrooms was a bit too much but understandable for the main floor comfort. Driveway is a steep gravel single lane about 500m in length, FYI. My old Dodge mini-van had no trouble.

Linda and Gord were amazing! I was riding all day on my motorcycle and was exhausted. They let me use their truck to get dinner. The place was posh and beautiful. Very friendly people and they have thought of everything! I will definitely be back! This was my first bed and breakfast experience. I will never stay at a hotel again. The photos do not do it justice.

This was a lovely bed and breakfast! Thanks to Linda and Gord for being such great hosts and making my visit so personal. A great retreat for getting away from it all. Unfortunately, I was travelling on business and had some challenges with internet access. Otherwise would highly recommend!

Hospitality was amazing. Offered tea or coffee upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious with pancakes.

Linda and Gord are wonderful hosts and take pride in their home. And what a gorgeous house it is! If you are a nature lover, you will fall in love with the gorgeous natural setting and the beautiful grounds. We stayed in the Blue Room, which was decorated as such, with gorgeous antiques throughout the room and a very comfortable bed. We had a very peaceful sleep and woke up to a great breakfast and shared great conversations with our hosts and their guests. We enjoyed our brief stay at this gem of place and hope to return in the future. Thank you, Linda and Gord, for such a wonderful stay.

Marvelous! As virgin B&Brs there was no disapointment. Our hosts Linda & Gord were so delightful & most attentive to all our needs. We barbecued some steaks on the covered patio, rain and all, and just sat with our wine enjoying the countryside. Our room was delightful, with a very comfortable bed. Fresh fruit yogurt and apple french toast greeted us for breakfast. Don't miss this B&B on your travels.

Linda and Gord are an amazing couple. Everything was lovely. Food was great, room was comfortable, company awesome! This was our first b&b experience. We were so blessed by our stay there. Will come back again for sure. We rate it 100 out of 100.

From start to finish our hosts did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Rain was expected so Gord helped my husband park our motorcycles out of the rain. They phoned to ensure we could get a spot at a local eatery for dinner. After a long day on the motorcycles we ended the day with a soak in the jacuzzi tub. And slept soundly in a very comfortable bed. Didn't even wake-up when the rain started! Breakfast was great; starting with fresh fruit followed by back bacon and eggs - all very filling and yummy.

We had a delightful stay. Linda was welcoming and very accommodating. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We would love to come back and have a chance to enjoy some time in the 'great room'. Comfortable bedroom, great food & delightful host - we really couldn't have asked for more. We arrived as strsngers and were immediately treated as friends. We are looking forward to an opportunity to return.

The pictures don't do this place justice. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful bed and breakfast! I had an amazing stay here and would completely recommend for anyone looking to be in the Bancroft area for the weekend. Friendly people and fantastic breakfast. Overall, lovely time and very accommodating. I will however, agree with Hotels.com and let you know that you should call them 24 hours in advance to alert them of your arrival as there seems to be a glitch in their alerts. Highly recommended!

I always avoid from those names. They put the opposite name than actual. This place It is really a jewel. I booked it because I couldn't find any other hotels. It was for one night. I am not seriously thinking to go there at least 3 nights just to stay at that B&B. Owners Linda and Gord they are exceptional people. They do everything to make feel comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Bed, towel whatever you may think were beyond of my expectations.

Not hard to find considering it is in the middle of a forest. Amazing log home with all the luxuries of an urban mansion. Super friendly hosts who have been running this B & B for a long time. Unbelievable value.
