Schöne Lage
Etwas abgelegen
The rooms and the staff
Remote location to get to
Lovely location, staff were excellent and the cabins were great
It’s not the property it was the road that takes you there, you really think you’ve made a mistake and eventually it appears. I think to help the property, this should be mentioned. It’s says Clearwater but the address is Little Fort and if you continued on the highway to Little Fort there is no way of getting to the property.

Great facilities for paddling and canoeing at the lake as well as table tennis, pool and table tennis when the weather wasn’t so great.
Kitchen facilities were a bit dated, with tea mugs needing a good clean! Plus the road in and out is a bit of a pain. WiFi not good.
sehr gutes Restaurant.
Schöne Lage, schöner kleiner See!

Amazing cabin, very comfortable and great Great surroundings and amenities. We loved the little lake with the canoes. Lovely place.
Ruhig gelegen an einem See.
No me gustó nada mucho. Tal vez el Boathaus restaurante. Se comía bien.
Muy poco empaticos y muy poco flexibles
I would definitely recommend this stay. We had an apartment with a lake view that had all the comfort you need. You are staying right in the middle of nature. For us, the absolute highlight was the lake. There are SUP boards, kayaks, and swim rings available free of charge. We really enjoyed swimming in and boating on the beautiful lake. The park is a bit secluded, but that only adds to its charm. For us, this was one of the top accommodations during our trip through Canada.

The room, restaurant and location were all great.
The property charged us half up-front but then charged us twice for the second payment. They have not acknowledged this and have stopped responding to my inquiries.
Rather negative experience. No servicing/cleaning of the rooms if you book only 2 nights; breakfast served with plastic cutlery and does not meet the standards; however staff at restaurant do their best. Food is ok; Remoted area. Wifi does not work.
Sadly we only had two nights in our 3 bed cabin at Alpine Meadows. The cabin itself had everything we needed and more - it was very comfortable, stylish and huge. The surroundings were very beautiful with lots of wildlife including deer that hang around the site. The lake is surrounded by mountain views and there are canoes, kayaks, pedaloes, paddle boards and fishing equipment available to borrow foc plus swimming platforms. There’s lots to do for families without ever leaving the site. The restaurant food was top quality. As for the drive up from Clearwater - it isn’t as bad as it sounds - just a few potholed areas to watch for. There’s an excellent grocery store in Clearwater for all your supplies. The management were v helpful and sorted a problem we had with pre booked food out for us v graciously. We wish we had had longer there to relax and enjoy this wonderful spot.
A beautiful beautiful place in the wilderness. So peaceful. Lovely staff and excellent food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Not quite so good -the continental breakfast tray is just odd and quite wasteful as it’s an all or nothing option. The rooms have no soundproofing so you can hear every word of neighbours next to you or underneath.
We recently stayed at Alpine Meadows Resort after a long 5-hour drive (be prepared for the final 20km, which is a challenging, pothole-heavy gravel track). While the resort itself is visually lovely and surrounded by beautiful nature—we loved seeing the hummingbirds and taking advantage of the ample boats, canoes, and paddleboards on the lake—our overall experience was unfortunately ruined by a terrible check-in process and poor room comfort. The Good: The Boathouse Restaurant: Truly outstanding. We had some of the best food we’ve eaten in Canada here, and my daughter was particularly impressed with the pancakes! A huge shout-out to Tina and Scott for their impeccable hosting skills. The Setting: The resort grounds are beautiful, and the cabins look great from the outside. The Bad: Cabin Comfort: While well-made on the outside, the interiors feel cheaply fitted out. The beds were super uncomfortable, there is no air conditioning, and the lack of blinds on all the windows meant the whole family slept poorly. Amenities: The hot tub was out of order for the entirety of our stay. The Ugly (The Check-In Experience): Our check-in time was supposed to be 3:00 PM. When we arrived, we were told it had been changed to 4:00 PM. We received no advance notice of this, and judging by the queue of people behind us, neither had anyone else. Because the resort is in the middle of nowhere and it was pouring rain, we were left with absolutely nothing to do but sit on a picnic bench under an umbrella for an hour. To make matters worse, I had emailed in advance to book the Boathouse and the Fire Pit for dinner, and the Boathouse for breakfast. I was told dinner was confirmed, and that reservations weren't needed for the others. Upon arrival, it transpired that our dinner booking hadn't actually been made, the Fire Pit was closed on the day we wanted it, and breakfast did require a reservation. Instead of being apologetic about these massive communication failures, the man at the front desk was incredibly dismissive and rude. I am genuinely unsure how he is employed in a customer-facing role. It’s a shame, because the location and the restaurant staff are wonderful, but the management and lack of basic cabin comfort completely ruined the trip for us.
Lovely location, off the beaten track (literally) as it's about 20 mins from the main town of Clearwater along a dirt track. The lodges are great and nicely laid out across the resort, with some good hikes direct from the resort and the lake with free use of canoes & other water craft. The dinner is great in a lovely setting overlooking the lake with humming birds flying around. Rooms were clean although a bit dated.
This property really enabled us to enjoy the Canadian outdoors. The location wasn’t what we expected but it was a pleasant surprise. It was well looked after and great facilities for all ages and groups.
Excellent complimentary services
WiFi issues ( but can’t be helped )
We had an amazing stay at Alpine Meadows, we spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. You really can't get bored here.. the hiking trails right from the property and the paddle boards were our favourite. Also both on-site restaurants are worth a visit, for such a remote spot the quality is next level!
Stunning setting
Nothing
Totally relaxed, great location despite the drive along unpaved roads, worth it. The lodges are lovely, quiet with so much wildlife to spot. The lake facilities superb but at your own risk, life jackets provided. Highly recommend.
Only minor, the lodges could do with a little maintenance, sliding door didn't lock on arrival, I fixed it! Some other wear and tear issues which I'm sure they'll sort.
It was a wonderful experience. We stayed in a log cabin that was very well equipped with all that you’ll need. The food at the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. It was tasty and well presented. A special mention to Scott and Sarah who worked at the restaurant. They were so friendly and went to great lengths to make our stay memorable.
Sehr schöne gepflegte anlage. Personal sehr freundlich.
Such a lovely place in a beautiful setting. The lodge we had was perfect for our overnight stay on route to Jasper. It was off the beaten track so very peaceful. We also had a lovely meal in the onsite restaurant.
Beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful, free canoeing on the lake and a great outdoor bar serving lovely homemade burgers. Friendly, helpful staff.
Just a bit too far from grocery stores.
A wonderfully relaxing place to stay! A little bit out of the way but highly recommended. We were booked in for just one night but would strongly recommend a two night stay to unwind and relax in the lovely surroundings. Our cabin was lovely, very comfortable and well equipped. Both breakfast and dinner were tasty but not elaborate. Staff all very nice. We would happily return!
Alles was OK.
Weg erna toe is deels half verhard.
Alpine Meadows is very dated. Small bed. Tiny bathroom for the size of the suite. Service in the restaurant in the evening was ok even though they were very short staffed. Breakfast was a joke! I feel so sorry for the staff. They’re just overwhelmed by the amount of customers. This is a management issue and no reflection on the staff. This place could be amazing. The location is beautiful right on the lake but the amenities let it down unfortunately
Such a wonderful chilled place
More hot water please
Die Lage, die Natur und die Ruhe.
Remoteness and scenery
Nothing.
Log cabin vibe, staff very welcoming and helpful
WiFi is poor, no lake view despite being advertised with one
What a gem of a place. Long road to the property but so worth it. Amazing accommodation and surroundings. Kept beautiful and thoughtful for the wdlife. Saw a bear on meadow, a beaver in the lake, humming birds, fantastic sounds at night. Boats to take out. The boathouse restaurant excellent. Staff are so friendly. Thanks to Tina, Sara, grounds people reception everyone. A wonderful calm quiet relaxing stay.
Awesome location, very picturesque. Quality accommodation . Great value for money.
Nothing.
Amazing value, really enjoy staying at Alpine. Place is immaculate, units are big and so private. I have not stayed at a resort that has this much space!
We had an incredibly stressful situation during our stay after getting a flat tire with our rental car, and the team at Alpine Meadows Resort went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. While the rental company offered very little support, Tina and the rest of the team immediately stepped in to help us, making calls and assisting us in every way they could until everything was sorted out. Beyond that, Alpine Meadows Resort itself is a beautiful place to stay. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, right by the lake and surrounded by nature. The cabins are spacious, cozy and clean, making it easy to immediately feel at home. We also loved all the extra amenities available to guests, including the sauna, outdoor BBQ area, and especially the possibility to freely use the canoes, paddle boards, and boats on the lake. It really adds to the whole experience and makes the stay feel special and welcoming. The road to get there is admittedly a bit rough in places and cell service is limited, but once you arrive, all of that completely fades into the background. The beauty of the location, the peaceful atmosphere, and the warmth of the people more than make up for it. This level of hospitality is rare, and it says a lot about the people working at Alpine Meadows Resort. Thank you again to Tina and the entire team for your exceptional care, generosity, and support, we will remember your kindness for a very long time!
Amazing stay, highly recommended! The wooden cabin was beautiful with a great view, and the whole property had so many amenities. There were trails, a basketball court, games, and a lovely outdoor fireplace area near the restaurant. The lake was perfect for paddling and boating, and being in the middle of the forest made it very peaceful and relaxing. The surrounding area is also full of waterfalls and beautiful places to explore. We’ll definitely come back!
We enjoyed the setting. We were impressed by the beauty of the autumn colours and the design and development of the property.
The road getting there is a little rough but we realized we could have avoided most of it by taking a different route.
the lake
We loved our experience in Alpine Meadows - it was a perfect family gateway - Wooden cabins rooms, kids play area, lake with free activities and best part the newly built Sauna - one of our most memorable weekend holiday !! Wells gray provincial park is right next which has around 42 waterfalls - lot of outdoor things to do , can easily spend a week here !
Perfekt
Zufahrt gewöhnungssache aber kein Problem
Le chalet de grande taille. L emplacement. On se sent très vite chez soi.
J ai tout apprécié
Le cadre, la décoration des suites
Restaurant un peu cher mais bon
We were excited to stay here due to the excellent reviews. We were booked in for two nights but we checked out after one night due to not being happy with numerous elements. This was part of a three week trip touring Alberta & BC and all other accommodation was superb. I will list the issues: On arrival we asked to borrow some bear spray which every other place had volunteered. We were told they didn't provide it but offered some bells. On checking into the lodge we were very disappointed with the decor. It was bland and there was no effort to make it homely or 'lodge' like. Just all very beige with bare walls. The kitchen table was damaged. The balustrade on the balcony was wobbly and unsafe. The TV didn't work - the receptionist came out to fix it and said that she had but she hadn't and it never did work. The quality of the beds and bedding did not reflect the price. The restaurant is over priced and average quality (evenings). There were staff living underneath our lodge in what I assume should have been a storage area (we could hear them moving about at 6am). The breakfast experience was just dreadful - a messy understaffed room with hardly any food left when we arrived. It was after breakfast that we decided to check out early. We spoke to the venue and asked for a refund for the second night due to our issues. We received no apology and no refund so I think it is appropriate to leave a fair (albeit negative) review.
The breakfast
Very quiet. Large, beautiful house with a whirlpool. The location is beautiful in the forest and by the lake. Breakfast was included.
Long drive ro Clearwater
Idyllic location. Peaceful and beautiful setting. Good space of accomodation and balcony in the 2 bedroom cabin and good facilities in the cabin to make breakfast etc. Lovely friendly staff. Complimentary WiFi.
Would have been great if one of the bathrooms offered a walk-in shower rather than shower over bath as one of our party had mobility issues. Air-conditioning was a little on the noisy side (but probably would not matter to those who are not light sleepers)
Our dinner experience at Alpine Meadows Resort exceeded expectations in every way. The atmosphere was serene and beautifully set, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening out. The menu offered a well curated selection, and each dish was prepared with care and presented with attention to detail. Beyond the excellent food, what truly stood out was the impeccable service, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Alpine Meadows Resort provides not only a meal but a complete dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy exceptional cuisine in an elegant yet inviting setting.
Beautiful setting having a lake all to themselves, adequate/good lodge to stay in, free use of canoes/rowing boat etc. Evening meal very good though breakfast was just average. Long country track to access.
Staff were friendly, grounds were pretty, you can use the boats on the lake.
My cabin wasn’t clean at all - there were stains on the towels and bedsheets provided and when I reported this to staff they didn’t seem very concerned about this. For the price, the furnishings of the cabin were very basic and the cooking ware was almost non-existent. The location is in the middle of nowhere so impossible to get any groceries anyway, and the restaurant on the grounds was not great at all. This resort had one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had on a holiday, there was no staff there to assist and I couldn’t eat anything because it was all so bad so I just had a very watery black coffee. I was so freaked out by the unclean state of my cabin when I arrived that I could barely relax. Also, the cabin was boiling hot when I got there and there was no AC despite the sun directly facing the huge windows in the back of the cabin that do not have curtains to stop the sun from heating the room like a greenhouse. It was not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I would not recommend or stay here again.
We loved the peaceful location at the lake in the middle of nature. Cosy cabins and a lovely balcony for the best sunsets at the lakes.
The chalets themselves were fantastic. Very clean and unique. The location itself was 30 minutes up a dirt track, which was not worth the effort when exploring the Wells Gray National Park. The restaurant was overpriced with an uninspiring menu. The complex has no shop to buy supplies and the cafe operates on limited hours. The breakfast was the worst we have had in Canada so far, with staff taking bin bags out through the restaurant. This place could be magical but it feels half-baked. We asked advice from the front desk and was advised to speak to the tourist information and google things. If you’re looking for a base for exploring the area, look elsewhere.
What a beautiful surprise this place was! We learned about Alpine Meadows from a friend and decided to stay for a couple of nights on a road trip home from Calgary. It was worth the stop and our only regret was that we only booked 2 nights. We stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge- stunning and exceeded expectations. Important to us, the beds were all very comfortable. Alpine is also pet friendly a major bonus! There is plenty of activities to enjoy, we used paddleboards, boats, kayaks all available for guests to use. There is a restaurant on site and they serve breakfast (included in our stay) every morning- great choices of eggs, bacon, toast, cereal etc. we will definitely be back and will try the restaurant for dinner next time- great service from staff and gorgeous view of the lake inside and outside seating available. Looking forward to booking this next summer, would recommend a minimum of three nights to enjoy this peaceful slice of heaven.
