One of the best hotels we've stayed! It's super well located, super beautiful and it feels very intimate. The staff was amazing, the rooms were super comfortable and the bed was amazing. From arrival to check out the hotel did not disappoint us. We were well cared for, including front desk at check in and the concierge who answered our many questions about tours, transportation, directions, restaurants, etc. Germane was especially helpful and very pleasant to talk to. The superior room was very comfortable and roomy enough. Coffee maker and mini fridge are provided. Breakfast in the restaurant was good - ala carte or buffet options are available. We stuck with ala carte. The location is amazing. It is on a quiet street just a few blocks to the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. We walked everywhere and grabbed Uber for places too far for our schedule to walk. In all, this hotel met all our expectations and more. We were there for the solar eclips and the hotel provided every guest with viewing glasses and instructions for safety. They even provided post cards for our use as well as postage when ready to mail! This try was a 5 star experience in our opinion.

The Food & Coffee:🍞🥪🍝☕ The breakfast buffet is very nice—mostly French food with a bit of everything else. The cheese and pastries are amazing, and both go exceptionally well with the sugarless red berry jam. (Please try it! I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be the greatest jam I’ve ever had). You can also order fresh eggs from the amazing kitchen staff, alongside specialty drinks like tea, hot chocolate, chai, and coffee—the coffee is so good it's almost Melbourne-level! Fresh juice is available at the buffet. The Room & Amenities:✨✨✨ We stayed in a split room that was surprisingly spacious. European hotel rooms (especially in London and Amsterdam) tend to be on the smaller side, but this was by far the biggest room of our trip. Every time we went out, the room was cleaned to perfection—it felt brand new every single day. They welcome you with free drinks and edible gifts, plus a stocked mini-fridge, a TV you can easily pair your phone to, and beautiful stairway/wallpaper/carpet decor throughout the building. There’s also a jacuzzi, a massive sauna, and a bar downstairs that’s always open with sports playing. ​Location:📍📍📍 The location is unbeatable. It’s close to: ​The Louvre, the Olympic Cauldron, Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower 🗼 ​The Seine River (great for boat tours) ​Endless restaurants, cafes, bakeries (boulangeries), cheese shops (fromageries), dessert spots, pubs, and shopping centers ​The Staff: 🤵🤵🤵 Don't worry if you don't speak French—all the staff speak fluent English. What a beautiful hotel. Centrally located for museum and history lovers (across from the Louve). Staff were professional, attentive and very friendly. Room was lovely with a terrace view. Continental breakfast was perfect way to start a day of exploring. Already looking to book a return stay.

Our recent stay at Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal was truly wonderful from beginning to end. The rooms are beautiful, exceptionally spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed—an absolute pleasure to return to after a day exploring Paris. What made our visit especially memorable was the fabulous staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, consistently going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. When the handle on my husband’s suitcase broke, the extended handle became stuck and would not go back down. The staff not only offered to help but actually went to a store to purchase the part needed and repaired the suitcase for us! Their kindness, resourcefulness, and extraordinary level of service exceeded every expectation. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay. We highly recommend Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal and cannot wait to return!

This hotel was impressive with their service. Everything was exceptional, from being greeted with beverages, including Champagne, to welcoming staff at the front desk. we arrived before check in, and once our room was ready, we were walked to it and our luggage was already there for us. Lovely room service and turn down service in the afternoon. The hotel was very clean, quaint, and the room was great, with a balcony overlooking the local area. The restaurant in the hotel was accommodating to my gluten allergy (celiac), as there are a lot of gluten-free options. We were very happy with the whole stay!

Its exceptional location, just steps from the Louvre Museum and within easy reach of Rue Saint-Honoré and many of Paris's most iconic landmarks, made it an ideal base for our visit. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient, attentive, and meticulous, ensuring our accommodations remained immaculate throughout our stay. Each morning, we looked forward to the outstanding breakfast buffet, which offered a delicious and elegant start to the day. In the evenings, the bar provided the perfect setting to unwind, with expertly crafted cocktails and impeccable service. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its extraordinary staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to creating an exceptional guest experience. The concierge team, in particular, was nothing short of remarkable. We stayed for a 30th anniversary getaway and couldn't have been happier with absolutely everything. The hotel went out of its way to acknowledge our anniversary. The room and service were impeccable, the restaurant delicious. Appreciated the restaurant recommendations of the concierge and the convenient and walkable location.

Il est un peu dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de piscine pour compléter l'espace bien-être. De plus, nous avons déploré un manque de communication important : le personnel est entré dans notre chambre seulement 1 ou 2 heures après notre installation, sans que nous soyons prévenus. Cela pose un sérieux problème de sécurité et de tranquillité pour nos affaires personnelles tout juste déballées.

Exceptional hotel with connecting rooms for families. The concierge team couldn't have been more helpful arranging tours and catering to our every need while we were there. Perfect location, super central, and surprisingly quiet. The rooms are very clean, bright, elegantly furnished and seem new. Comfortable beds with lux bedding. We loved the restaurant and bar, the food was delicious and healthy! Amazing little outdoor patio with seating. We will definitely be back!

This is one of the most pleasant hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I traveled to Paris with my 16 year old daughter for a surprise birthday trip. We arrived early after an overnight flight, so our room was not ready yet. However, the staff gave us access to the shower/gym/changing room so we could freshen up before exploring the city. The bellman happily stored our bags until our room was ready. We received an upgrade to a suite based on diamond Hilton status, and they decorated the room with balloons, a cake, and a card for my daughter. She said it made her birthday and trip to Paris and that she felt so special. Rooms are spacious and very very clean. Centrally located near Louvre and within steps of Metro line 1. Continental breakfast was expansive and gave a very French experience. Thank you SO much for a wonderful experience! We can’t wait to return on our next visit to Paris!

My wife and I just spent a few nights at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the warm welcome that included a glass of champagne, to the helpful staff throughout the hotel, we were pampered and treated with the utmost in courtesy and helpfulness. The concierge staff helped us with restaurant reservations and transportation, the restaurant experience in the hotel was fabulous and we even had a chance to have a drink in the bar and that was very nice as well. I also got the chance to use the fitness center, steam room and jacuzzi (that also came with a glass of unexpected champagne!), and thoroughly enjoyed these amenities as well. The location of the hotel across the street from the Louvre and walking distance to Notre Dame and many attractions and restaurants is also ideal. Will definitely stay here again whenever in the Paris area.

The honesty, kindness, and professionalism of the staff were truly exceptional. Thank you for turning a very stressful situation into such a positive experience. Superb hotel. Welcome was fabulous. Lovely check in with Safira who was just delightful l. I was visiting with a friend who I had not seen in over 30 years and the hotel upgraded us from a Superior room to their Prestige Suite. It was so wonderful. All staff were excellent. Suite was beautiful with the most stunning bathroom. Breakfast in the square was also fantastic. A wonderful experience in a lovely hotel in a brilliant location. I will definitely be back.

The beds are wonderful and the room quiet at night with no noise from the street or other rooms. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. What truly set this stay apart was the team. Tag bemerkt Das Angebot für Lunch/Diner ist unbefriedigend vom Angebot her, als auch preislich. Als wir am Tag der Abreise noch 2 Expressos bestellten, musste ich diese bezahlen. Dies nach einer Hotelrechnung von ca. Fr. 4500!

Can't say enough good things about this charming hotel! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were top notch and the service impeccable. We can't wait to go back!

We could only be here one night, but would have stayed longer if possible. Every staff member we dealt with was amazing!! Special thanks to Chloe and Germain. The bed and restroom were great. The location was good for accessing much of what you’ll want in Paris.

We loved the hotel, location and staff. This is not a budget hotel, so do not expect discount rates, but going in April was better than the summer. Less crowds, but still vibrant. It also helps being a Hilton member. It is near the Louvre, and even closer to the Palais Royal. My partner remembers Quentin beingawesome... there were so many other excellent staff. We had an early morning flight and the staff made sure that we had a breakfast to go. All the little details were done well. We will be back.

This was our first trip to Paris for our family of 4 (2 teens) and we could not have chosen a better hotel. The location is ideal - within walking distance to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, shopping, restaurants, the metro, etc. We must have walked 20K steps a day! The rooms were clean and quiet (despite being in a busy area) The most notable benefit of staying here was their concierge services. They assisted me in making all of our dinner reservations before we arrived in addition to emailing me back with answers to my endless questions on our itinerary. Germain and Christopher went out of their way to assist us upon arrival when I realized I had left my phone at home which had all of our tickets. Germain took the time to call the museums to make sure that we could still have access to them-he saved our travel plans! Everyone was professional and genuinely friendly. Highly recommend for families!

A 5 star boutique hotel where the attention to detail for their guests is immeasurable. They will truly make you feel special, and the location is right in the center of Paris next to the Louvre. The concierge staff especially Christopher are very knowledgeable and work hard to get you all the experiences you want. I would definitely go back!

I stayed for five nights at this wonderful hotel with my little dog. The service could not have been better (for both of us!). My dog was provided her own plush bed along with a water bowl. I’m afraid she got quite spoiled - as did I. My room had a courtyard view which was particularly fun since there a film being shot while I was there. I was told not Emily in Paris but still exciting. Location, breakfast, concierge service - all top notch. I hope to be fortunate enough to return one day.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Helen checked us in and was very friendly with a big smile. We also had a small but very nice room and a comfortable bed. The location is great. We were just minutes from Le Louvre. They also had a nice bar and we had a few drinks there the night we arrived. Breakfast was great. The staff in the breakfast room was sensational and very accommodating.

This is more than just a hotel - it’s an experience and it’s filled with some of the most lovely humans you’ll ever come across. There are no details left out either - the food, the drinks, the ambiance - it’s perfection. And when speaking of the people - every.single.one is amazing but a few stand out beyond that. When it comes to the concierge team, they are top notch. Especially Germain. He is one of the most attentive, helpful, kind, thoughtful, and just all around fantastic people you could ever have the fortune of working with. (Also huge shoutout to Pierre Jean as well!) If you have the opportunity to go to Paris, you will not be disappointed at all with your stay at GHPR!

This review is long overdue! My sister and I visited in April 2025 for our annual sister trip. From the moment we arrived, our experience at this elegant hotel was nothing short of magical. Although my sister and I arrived early for check-in, Lola Narici from Guest Relations immediately made us feel at home. She graciously offered us light refreshments, but even more memorable was the genuine warmth of her company. To our absolute delight, we were upgraded to a stunning suite with breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. This was an unforgettable surprise that set the tone for our entire stay. What truly made our visit exceptional, however, was Lola’s gracious manner and attention to detail. Her dedication to guest experience are truly outstanding, and she is an invaluable asset to the hotel. I would also like to commend the concierge staff, Lilian and Germain, who were equally attentive and helpful throughout our stay. I was so impressed that my husband and I are already planning to return this August to celebrate our anniversary. My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal in March, 2026. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding and attentive. The concierge had arranged for our visit to the Louvre and came over to give us the tickets as we were checking in. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. We had a light lunch at Cafe 52...great food, great service, relaxed cafe vibe. And we walked to the Louvre...very close to the hotel, but not so close as to be noisy. On subsequent days, we explored different parts of the city nearby, and we ate at several of the restaurants recommended by the concierge...lots of great choices nearby!

The location was perfect and the staff was amazing. It rained almost every day we were there and they had umbrellas at the ready for us. They moved quickly to get our room ready when we arrived early.

We recently completed our second stay at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal, and once again we had a wonderful experience. Our last stay was almost two years ago. During the check in process, the staff immediately welcomed us back and went above and beyond to recognize that we had been past guests. This is top notch service. The staff throughout the stay were all very welcoming and helpful. After checking in, we wanted someplace quick and easy for lunch. The concierge gave us a great recommendation the next block over. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for dinner our last evening. As others have mentioned, the location is unbeatable. There is a metro stop (1 and 7) two minutes away and plenty of wine bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. All in all, a wonderful experience from a hotel and staff that knows how to take care of its guests.

The Grand Hotel du Palais Royal was a very exceptional and memorable experience for us. It was my first time in Paris and the staff really made it a very easy and enjoyable trip. From the first staffperson we worked with, Safira, to the several concierege, Germain, Christopher, and Lilian, to the restaurant wait staff to Lola, the customer relations manager, everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The check in process was quick and easy. Our room was clean and ready for us before our scheduled check in time. Room cleaning and room service were excellent as well. We stayed on the 5th floor. Our floor may not have been very busy, but if it was, we wouldn't have known as we didn't hear anything. Serverl times, we needed assistance with directions and scheduling siteseeing. We received great help at each step. The tip to use the carousel entrance for the Lourve was spot on and very helpful, considering the alternative of standing in the rain. Another helpful feature, which may be common at other hotels, but was still great, was the ability to message a WhatsApp number for questions I had. At one point, I was short on time and had asked if retrieving some butter from a nearby store was possible and to my surprise, they were willing to go to the store for us. When it was time to leave, the concierege helped us with a 2-stop taxi trip to the airport. I am very grateful for how the staff treated us on our stay. I will certainly stay at this hotel the next time we are in Paris. The price was very reasonable. I recommend that you try this hotel as well. Brian T.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal from February 2 - February 8 with a work colleague/friend. We were in Paris for shopping, sight seeing and professional social media content for my boutique. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was welcoming and provided coffee during our check in. We were early (it was 10am and check in isn’t until 3pm) so the staff kindly offered us the use of the spa and showers to freshen up before we went out for the day. We were able to leave our luggage (it was delivered to our room, where we found it upon our return). We were surprised to have been upgraded from the small room I booked, to suite 402, which had multiple balconies, a massive bathroom, a living area with sofa, desk and coat closet, and separate bedroom — all overlooking the Emily in Paris office. Throughout our stay, the concierge (Pierre-Jean and Germain) went way above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. Pierre-Jean even purchased and delivered two extra suitcases for us to use on our return flight. We enjoyed the bar in the evening, and the breakfast buffet was very good. The First Arr. was perfect for our stay — picturesque, in the center of the city, easy access to the metro, lots of restaurants within walking distance, but not too crowded. I cannot express how grateful and happy we felt with our experience at Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. We will most definitely stay here again very soon. 10/10. Most highly recommended.
