From the moment we arrived , we were greeted by Jayne with a smile and nothing was too much trouble .The property was immaculate, our room was spacious , tastefully furnished and spotless. Cooked Breakfast was fantastic , with a cereal and fresh fruit in addition. Thougherly enjoyed our stay !!!

Very warm welcome and a lovely breakfast.

We were not able to charge our bikes overnight due to insurance issues. This caused some inconvenience the following day as we had to spend several hours recharging during the day at a bike shop in Barnstable. Overnight charging is fairly essential on a bike holiday with eBikes.

It was spotlessly clean. Jayne was a great host who made us feel very welcome. She went over and above with helping us. The breakfast was great with homemade bread and fruit compote.

The location wasn’t great for us but that’s not a fault of the property.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the B&B. Jane was so welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy and lovely views from the window. The cooked breakfast every morning was nice and hot. Woolacombe beach was only a 5 minute drive which was great as we would go to the beach all day. I would definitely recommend this B&B and we will be back. Thank you Jane 😊

A bit further out of Woolacombe than we expected but we got free parking from National Trust in Woolacombe as we are members so that was excellent.

The room was cool & had a walk in shower. Everything was spotless & I mean spotless. Jayne the landlady was lovely & for me what topped it off was that they had a bottle of Worcester sauce to put on my breakfast, the first ever b&b we've been to that has.. I highly recommend this b&b & we will be back.

I love this house it is perfect for my short stay in Devon to meet up with family each day. The owner has thought of everything and has added her own touch. Breakfast is perfect my room was really comfortable, my go to place now.

We've recently returned from a great week staying at the High Ways House. The setting is beautiful and access easy without having to drop into Woolacombe itself. Parking is easy and free and the welcome friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Our chosen family room was excellent and could not be faulted for cleanliness, comfort and facilities. Our host Jayne was outstanding. We needed to meet up with the rest of our family (staying in a holiday park) and she guided us around the area knowledgeably and pointed us to the best eating places and how to get around. She even made rhubarb and ginger cake for the grandchildren. The beds were comfortable, the shower excellent and we felt that nothing was too much trouble for our host Jayne and her husband who work tirelessly on the upkeep of the property. We would definitely stay at High Ways again.

A clean and bright room of a decent size, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Good supply of tea and coffee in the room and fresh milk, not long life milk. A tasty cooked breakfast was presented, with good ingredients. Cereal, fruit and toast also on offer. The hosts were helpful and welcoming.

A king bed rather than double would have been nice but we only spent one night so more than acceptable. This is being picky though.

The house was set in a beautiful location. Jayne was very welcoming and had a nice touch with shortbread in your room.The rooms and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The cooked breakfast was lovely as well as fresh fruit and cereals.Jayne made sure you had anything you needed.We would go back again

This is an exceptional place. The host is friendly and welcoming. So much though has gone into each room. Lovely quality rooms with plenty of lovely extra touches. The breakfast was amazing.

This is such a lovely B&B. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the linen was pristine. We had room 1 ground floor accessible which suited our needs totally having joint issues. Jane was a lovely host, very warm and welcoming. She explained the breakfast procedure of cold buffet and to order hot food the evening before. Our room was tidied every day, even though we didn't ask, such lovely touches. We were allowed to sit in the garden, which is beautifully landscaped, and drink our coffee and eat their home-made shortbread, Jane and Terry offered us cold drinks and fruit as the weather was 30°. Jane was very knowledgeable of the area telling us some beautiful beaches to visit and places of interest to see. We would highly recommend a stay here.

There were no negatives to this B&B. It is set back off the main road about 2 miles outside of Woolacombe away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect if looking for a peaceful break.

Jayne the host was very welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless, and exceptionally clean - everything was spotless. Probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The bed linen was crisp and perfectly white, as were the towels. Everything was supplied including nice additional touches like USB chargers by the bed, it was lovely to have a selection of teas and fresh milk available from a fridge, rather than UHT milk. The breakfast was delicious and well cooked - the homemade bread was especially nice.

Not in Woolacombe so involved a bus journey in both directions and an early evening meal before bus to the guest house. Could hear owners in their private apartment as sound insulation between that and the room was not sufficient.

The location relative to the SWCP, but having a bus stop right outside the property made this only a minor issue.

Lovely, clean & comfortable room with amazing shortbread! Friendly staff that served a great breakfast. Honesty bar was a nice touch. Easy to get down to Woolacombe as the hourly bus stops right outside. Does not run very late though so taxi back.

The triple room has a private bathroom but it is not attached to the room so you have to cross the hallway. Walls in the room were super thin so you can easily hear your neighbors.

It’s a little out of the way for SWCP walkers, although the bus is very handy.

Jayne was very welcoming and a great host, her property was very clean, the furniture and furnishings were lovely and she served up a great breakfast. We needed to eat the night we arrived and she advised us to visit the local golf range clubhouse which worked out well for us.

The only thing I didn't like was that I only stayed one night.

That was just a perfect place. I have been walking SWCP already for few days when I stayed for 1 night in this lovely house. Jane took care of every detail, bathroom was better equipped that I could imagine (was even the hair conditioner). Room was big, everything was so clean, so cosy, that was petty that I was there only for 1 night. In the morning I received best breakfast ever, and husband of Jane gave me a drive back to the track (thank you for that). 10 stars is too little

The plugs in the room were to low down as you had to move the bedside cabinets and single bed to plug in phones and laptops etc they should have been higher for easy access

The location is 2 miles outside Woollacombe. There is a bus stop outside.. The facilities were of a high standard including walk in wet room. The breakfast was lovely and the owners were really helpful.

The bus timings might not suit everyone so worth a check.

High Ways House is superb in every respect. Jayne makes sure everything is perfect with great attention to detail. A great host.

Jayne was a great hostess and very helpful with local recommendations and help with bus timetables etc. The house was stylish and well maintained with plenty of parking . Our room and ensuite were spotless. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The honesty bar and lounge was a nice touch too.

Breakfast was varied plentiful delicious and prompt. The location was ideal for exploring the area and we were made to feel very welcome. The room/en-suite was perfect with a very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated with lovely toiletries.

Don’t hesitate to book – it is perfect We stayed for three nights and everything about this bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations. The host, Jayne, was absolutely excellent – warm and welcoming without ever being overbearing. She has a real attention to detail, and it shows in every aspect of the stay. From thoughtful suggestions on things to do in the area, to the small touches that made us feel completely looked after, nothing was overlooked. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Each night we returned to find full service: fresh towels, replenished tea, coffee, and cookies – those little touches that make such a difference. Breakfast each morning was outstanding, with a delicious cooked option alongside a fresh fruit salad and cereals etc. The host is clearly a perfectionist in the best possible way, ensuring guests feel both comfortable and cared for. It’s rare to find a place where the small things are done so well, and it really elevated our experience. Highly recommended – you won’t regret staying here!
