Salpalinjan Hovi

Söpö pieni omintakeinen hotelli. Ei otettu aamupalaa, koska meillä oli kokonainen huoneisto, jossa keittiönurkkaus. Tykkäsin kovasti huoneistomme ulkonäöstä ja erityisesti siinä käytetyistä tekstiileistä ja tekstiilitaiteesta. Taidetta esillä paljon myös yhteisissä tiloissa. Lisäksi sai tietoa alueen historiasta ja sotahistoriasta henkilökunnalta. Olisi voinut oppia näistä asiaoista enemmänkin, jos meillä olisi ollut käytettävissä enemmän aikaa kohteessa.

Siisti ja kodikas, kauniit huoneet, mukava tunnelma, rauhallista ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Tuli tervetullut olo. Kaunis vanha talo ja vehreä piha-alue.

Rauhallinen, viihtyisä, kotoisa majoitus. Erittäin puhdasta ja siistiä. Huone kivasti sisustettu ja huoneet teemoitettu rakennuksen alkuperäisen käyttötarkoituksen mukaan. Aamiainen tarjoiltiin huoneeseen, mikä tuntui ylelliseltä. Se oli raikas, tuore ja riittävä. Henkilökunta oikein mukavaa ja antoi myös vinkkejä tekemisestä; pääsin tutustumaan lähialueen sotahistoriaan. Majoitus oli juuri minun mieleni mukainen; vanha suloinen rakennus, kotoisa pihapiiri, kauniit, hiljaiset huoneet, pihalla ilmainen pysäköinti. Olin enemmän kuin tyytyväinen.

Pidin ihan kaikesta. Matka keskustaan oli noin 8 kilometriä, joka sekin sopi minulle mainiosti.

Ehkä kuitenkin se et jos piti yöllä ikkunaa auki niin autojen/mopojen äänet kuuluivat.

Juomalaseja voisi olla enemmän. Oli vain yksi juomalasi. Oli enemmän kahvikuppeja.

The property is a wooden building that was once a local school. It has many traditional features and feels very homely and relaxing. It is in very quiet surroundings and located close to the lake. The owners were very kind and helpful to us and gave us plenty of information so we could explore the local area. Thank you for helping our son with a rod and bait for his fishing!

Perusaamiainen, mutta riittävä. Rauhallinen sijainti, vähän yli 10 minuuttia keskustasta. Hoteli rakennettu huolella viehättävään yli 100 vuotta vanhaan taloon. Kaikki toimi hyvin.

Själva boendet med lugn och lugn atmosfär. Stor och fin lägenhet i en gammal skola med allt man behöver. Sköna sängar och fint badrum. Rent och fräscht överallt. Härlig trädgård. Väldigt trevlig värd.

Kertakaikkisen ihana hotelli. Ystävällinen palvelu, hyvä huone kaikilla mukavuuksilla,hienot historialliset puitteet ja hyvä sijainti. Halusimme hotellihuoneen rauhallisemmalta paikalta ja sitä se kyllä on! Suosittelen lämpimästi.

Huoneen koko ja sänky. Kylpyhuone siisti ja sislsi shampoot ja hoitoaineen. Niistä kymppi.

Aamiaisen tuoreus, sämpylät kuivia ja puuro kylmää. Ei löytynyt edes lautasta puuroa varten.

We really recommend staying at Salpalinjan Hovi when visiting Lappeenranta. The place is really beautiful, quiet and charming. The hosts are very kind and explain all the options to visit the region. We really had a wonderful time.

Very pleasant old building modernized for comfort, located in peaceful surroundings, only a short drive away from the city. Owner had plenty of knowledge of the local history.

Water pressure in the shower was poor and seemed artificially choked.

Easily reachable and quiet accomodation outside Lappeenranta. Authentic and cozy Finnish house in the nature near a lake. Personal and warm atmosphere. and incredibly lovely furnitured rooms. Historical bunkers just around the corner. Friendly and helpful personel. I would recommend it 100%!

Timo, the host, was so hospitable and full of information about the area. The room was large, very comfortable, and the bed was the best one we slept on in Finland. The grounds are beautiful and near Lappeenranta while feeling tucked away. The sauna was well worth using, too!

Erittäin idyllinen yöpymispaikka. Mukavat sängyt, remontoidut huoneet ja todella siistiä. Lisäksi saimme tietoa alueen ja rakennuksen mielenkiintoisesta historiasta sekä opastusta alueen nähtävyyksistä ja palveluista. Aamiaista emme ottaneet, mutta se olisi ollut mahdollista saada. Huoneessa oli pieni keittiö ja jääkaappi, joten sopii hyvin myös budjettimatkaajalle.

Tästä paikasta ei ole mitään ikävää sanottavaa.

Majoitus oli lähellä työpaikkaani. Ympäristö oli kaunis. Olisi ollut hyvät majoitusominaisuudet.

Olisin halunnut ostaa aamiaisen. Olin olettanut sen olevan mahdollista. Mutta valitettavasti ei onnistunut. Aamiainen olisi ollut saatavilla arkena vasta aamulla klo 9.00. Henkilökunta vain totesi, ettäå sinulla on ihan hyvät fasiliteetit tehdä aamiainen itse, kun huoneessa on keittiö.

Odotin aamupalabuffaa mutta matkailijoiden vähyyden vuoksi tarjoilu oli huoneeseen. Pitänee toistaa vaimon kanssa lähitulevaisuudessa.

Nous avons aimé le charme et la tranquillité de la maison, le petit-déjeuner, l'accueil et les conseils d'Anne qui nous a fourni plans, cartes et brochures des environs de Lappeenranta. Nous n'avons pas utilisé le coin cuisine mais il était très bien équipé.

La déco de la chambre mais ... chacun ses goûts.

Ein altes Schulhaus mit wirklich skurriler und einfallsreicher Einrichtung! Urig und gemütlich! Die Besitzerin war super nett und hilfreich in der Reiseplanung! Küche voll funktionsfähig und absolut ausreichend!

Leider war das WLAN instabil… Schade.

I letti non erano quelli descritti. Tre su quattro divani non erano grandi abbastanza per due persone adulte, uno di noi ha dovuto dormire a terra su un materasso e un altro su un letto arrangiato da un divanetto da cucina

Todella viehättävä ja mielenkiintoinen majoitus luonnon keskellä! Täällä olisi viihtynyt pidempäänkin pelejä pelaillen tai luonnossa samoillen, mutta olimme vain yhden yön ohikulkumatkalla. Erinomaiset yöunet ja vieraanvarainen palvelu.

Todella ystävällinen henkilökunta, maukas aamupala. Rauhallinen sijainti, lähellä isompaa tietä. Vieressä mielenkiintoinen bunkkeri.

Todella siisti ja ammattitaidolla remontoitu vanha koulu, josta on tehty ihana pieni majoituspaikka, huoneet isoja ja henkii vanhaa koulua. Tulen taatusti uudestaan.

We stayed at Salpalinjan Hovi for sentimental reasons and visited familiar and historic places which brought back countless memories although there has been many changes and new housing while some older and historical buildings have been preserved. Lappeenranta Authorities deserve to be commended.

Our stay was just too short!!!

Ihana pittoreski pieni hotelli maaseudun rauhassa, kuitenkin lähellä Lappeenrannan kaupunkialuetta. Erityispiirteenä hienot Salpalinjan betonikorsut opastauluineen heti tien toisella puolella. Tilava huone ja oma keittiönurkkaus tuo helppoutta lapsiperheelle.

Rakennuksessa ja huoneessa haisi ummehtuneelta, mikä johtui huoneessa olevista vanhoista koulun esineistä, kirjoista ja tauluista. Ei voi suositella allergisille. Vastaanotossa ei ollut koko aikana henkilökuntaa, mutta siivooja haki meille avaimen huoneeseen. Kirjauduimme vastaanoton ilmoitettuun avoinnaoloaikaan.

Erittäin mielyttävä hyvällä maulla tehty kokonaisuus. Ystävällinen ja auttava isäntäväki.

The flats are designed very tastefully, with an artist touch. This makes the stay very enjoyable. The house is has historic value (a previous school) and is located on the defense line (during II Word War) against Soviet Union. Thus there is historic spots to see.

Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!

Absolutely the best place and the best owners. It is run be a married couple, and they are both literally the nicest, most helpful, friendly and warmest people you will ever met. They will help you with absolutely everything. Moreover their place is a very cozy small hotel with the highest quality of everything. Rooms are big enough and very comofrtable. You will feel like home very quickly. Location is very calm. Lots of nature around. And when you enter the main building, where reception is, you will smell an amazing saunalike wood scent. Places like that are truly worth visiting. Aboslutely 11/10!

I've been here with my family for two nights. Anne and Timo are really some of the kindest persons that we've met in Finland. They welcomed us warmly, and offered us all the information about nearby natural trails, attractions in the city and along the road towards our next stop. They also kindly gave us their bikes to reach some of the nicest spots around. Their house is a beautiful mansion immersed in one of the immense Finnish forests close to Saimaa lake, but it is easily reachable thanks to the adjacent railroad and the highway, just 10 minutes from the city center of Lappeenranta. It is an oasis of peace in the nature, and the apartments are nice, tidy and soaked by the love and the spirit of the rural life. Strongly recommended.

The front desk staff is super friendly. The room is cozy and comfortable although it’s old. In general it’s clean and serve the purpose for us to have a good night rest

* There were no public transport. But the host provided me a free byke Actually If you have a car that's not an issue. The most of other guests had cars. There were a plenty of space to park them * there is no a restaurant or something

We were two families, we had two wonderful room, actually small flats. The owner is very serviceminded, friendly, informative and helpful. Our warmest recommendation to this beautiful place
