Enjoyed our stay

Room was clean and comfortable, wonderful location!!!!

Well, of course the view - and the very well-kept property grounds made it extra pleasant. Parking directly at the door of the room is so convenient, and it always felt secure. Additionally and very importantly, the on-site restaurant! Good, hearty meals in a cozy setting. Dinner was even accompanied by fiddle playing. What a treat.

Shower head was all messed up. Felt like a firehose trying to slice thru metal. Head was clogged and needs to be replaced. Please fix it

The location along the Cabot trail was very convenient. We arrived later then expected and there was no issue. Super friendly people. Had dinner after we arrived and was treated to live music. We ordered the fisherman's feast and this was one of the top meals of our trip. Highly recommend.

The rooms were clean and roomy, but a little outdated.

The facility is a bit dated. The room smells a bit musty.

Super Lage im Nationalpark, gutes Frühstück im Restaurant möglich, nicht inclusive. Zimmer waren sauber

Die Einrichtung ist alt und die Betten sind sehr kurz, maximal 1,90 m lang.

Der Stecker vom Wasserkocher passte nicht, vom Dunstabzug (?) viel bei Gebrauch das Gitter herunter.

I like the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean it was nice to have a restaurant on site . Lots of scenic views and things to do around the locals who live in the surrounding area we’re very friendly as well .

When I booked i thought I booked a cottage? since travelling with a friend. when I got there it was the motel? The wifi seemed to only work on select phones to text or call otherwise no service .

The location was great. Having the restaurant at the property was very handy. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were pleasant and friendly

Location and space

There was no available staff all the time for the motel. When I talked to frond dest I understood they are for the restaurant and she was talking about other staff from the motel who was not easy to reach and find!

The location is so close to the skyline trail allowing you to explore the eastern part of Cape Breton as well.The room was clean and the beds and linens were fresh. It was perfect for 2 adults and 1 teen.

Would have appreciated a microwave oven in the room.

The location is very nice and surrounding is peaceful ✌️ their restaurant is a blessing with a beautiful patio.

The only thing that bothers me is that they don't have microwave and refrigerator in the room

Die Lage war gut.

Die Lichtverschmutzung in der Nacht war total unnötig für einen Aufenthalt am Cabot-trail. Der gesamte Platz war taghell erleuchtet. Die Klimaanlage war extrem laut. Es gab keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer, so war man gezwungen im Restaurant zu essen. Was ein sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat.

Très bien situé autant pour la section la plus belle de la cabot que pour y faire des randonnées. Restaurant sur place avec une belle ambiance, parfait pour terminer la journée sans tracas. Chambre propre et charmante, j’y retournerai.

La proximité immédiate du Cabot trail. Le côté "appartement" avec cuisine et chambre séparée.

Peu de commerce aux alentours. Nous avons du refaire 30 km pour nous approvisionne. il a fallu bouger des meubles pour pouvoir déplier le canapé.

Staff and restaurant was amazing along with the views.

Rooms are rundown need a lot of improvements. No sleep as the people on each side were loud and banging doors all night. The shower pressure was so hard it felt like it was cutting you.

Nestled among the Cabot trail mountains on all sides, great location midway around the Cabot trail. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated seemed pretty modern. Restaurant on site with decent food, served breakfast and dinner. Sunset over the mountains, comfortable patio area with tables and chairs, dog friendly establishment. Friendly staff. What else can you ask for. Location alone should earn it more stars.

Wouldn’t let dog on attached restaurants patio but were accommodated sitting in the opposite side patio area

Les chambres sont datées, mérite un rafraîchissement complet ( prises électriques brûlées, lampes ne fonctionnant pas, papier peint dégradé, douche à refaire entièrement, rideau de douche sale, un Boeing au décollage fait moins de bruit que la clim….)

Great place for a stop on the Cabot Trail, friendly staff, restaurant on site and room was all good.

Bed was super squeaky and could do with a fridge in the room

We had a great stay at the Mountain View. Our room was very clean. We stayed here while we hiked in the Highlands National Park. The food at the restaurant is great! We had dinner and breakfast and we're really happy with both. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely.

We were in the first unit of the motel. The ac is way too loud and really should be replaced. The TV is on a desk, far away from the couch. It should be wall mounted to watch from bed. Very small job

There is a good restaurant on site, we were fortunate not to have to travel for dinner. The room was tidy and clean. We had a hot shower and beds were comfortable. Check in and check out was easy and they called to check on us when we were running a little late. One waitress in particular was super friendly and chatted with us. Property was really cute and well looked after.

their check-in time limit is pretty early - 9pm. Also, the menu was a little bit limited but they helped me find something that would work for food intolerances. There really isn't anything to dislike.

The location was excellent, a perfect stop along the Cabot trail. The room was updated and comfortable. The restaurant was convenient and delicious.

The AC unit was very loud, but worked well.

Perfect location to stop on the Cabot Trail with lovely views of the mountains. Well set back from the road. We had one of the cottages. Very well equipped kitchen. Nice veranda to sit out on. Good meal at the onsite restaurant.

Can’t complain

The hummingbird feeders on the windows at the restaurant. Very cool. Our cabin #21 was lovely. It came with everything but we didn't use everything in the kitchen as we weren't prepared for that. Staff were awesome.

Height of shower head. Bed size could have been a queen in one of the rooms for us people who are tall.

Keeping the remote location in mind of this place, I would say it’s not anyone’s fault but there were a lot of different kind of bugs in rooms washroom and the bed was super uncomfortable.

Beautiful view. We had a couple issues come up with our room and the staff was very helpful.

The cottage was very nice and clean and in a very nice location. Apparently Booking.com made a mess with the booking but the front desk personnel found a solution, the cottage, that was better than what I booked and even cheaper

Though the rooms were clean, the sofas could use a deep clean. In the cottage, there is one AC in the outside room, and no AC in the actual bedrooms. We had to keep the bedroom doors open in order to beat the hot summer night.

Very easy to find which is helpful as there is no phone service in the area. Friendly check-in and easy to drive right up to the room. Hot water and coffee in the room.

The sheets were old and the room wasn’t the cleanest, but manageable for the one night I stayed.

The staff are super nice and helpful. The food in their restaurant is yummy. The beds are so comfy. The grounds are decorated nicely with lots of sitting areas to take in the stars at night. I would recommend this place to anyone. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

The only downfall is the wifi can be spotty at times and that isn’t their fault, it’s the area.

Very friendly staff. It has a bar where you can have breakfast and they treat you very well.The house was clean and they provided utensils.

It had two bedrooms. One with a smart TV and one without. Early in the morning, they started making noise and doing maintenance on the house next door. They don't leave you with oil or salt.There is only one small convenience store in the village with a few products, which closes early. Gas stations are 40 km away..

Having the restaurant on the property was great. The cottage was comfortable. It was nice to have a great property to stop at after a day of travel.

The cottage was a little chilly when we arrived, it would have been nice to have a warm room when we arrived.

Obwohl es von den Möbeln etwas altmodisch ist waren wir sehr zufrieden. Bequeme Betten, sauber, weiche Handtücher, Shampoo + Duschgel guter Kaffee im Zimmer. Tolles Restaurant und ganz nette Mitarbeiter.
