Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. I enjoyed both their Western style breakfast items, like their croissants and pastries, but especially loved their Japanese menu items and mineral eggs. It was very convenient to have breakfast on the property, and the eating area had a lovely view of the garden.
The bedding was very hard for a westerner. We had issues making ourselves comfortable with the mattresses, but we managed. I would also say, it was difficult to navigate to the hotel from our train station. We got off at a more remote location, so that was difficult to navigate by bus.

The private onsen is chargeable. The public onsen is rather average, not very impressive, the outdoor one is small and the water is not hot enough.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2025Beautiful property. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hotel personnel are courteous and friendly-everyone greets you and willing to answer any questions. The front desk was very helpful in making reservations at the restaurant we were interested in. The man who escorted us to the room spoke English and pointed out various locations in the hotel (breakfast venue, onsen, lounge). He was so pleasant and courteous. Onsen is large and very relaxing. We had a wonderful stay.

Reviewed Apr 25, 2025The outdoor onsen (tub) in the room was good. Soaking in the outdoor onsen was relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. We asked for directions a few times, and the staff provided clear directions to the places we wanted to visit. I liked the hotel's handmade wine which was served to us during dinner. The dinner was delicious as well! For buffet breakfast, there was a wide selection of food. Most of the food were delicious!
There was a floor light that we could not switch off at night, in spite of trying all the light switches. Thus, we used the drying rack with the towels to block out most of the light.

Reviewed Jan 28, 2025The property itself is beautiful (if maybe a little dated) and the room we had was lovely. Our only disappointment was the area surrounding the property. The pictures provided through travel agencies are not accurate: this hotel is not secluded or in the mountains or even remotely close to nature. It is in the middle of an urban development, and not a particularly modern or advanced one. Still had a lovely time! Just not what we were expecting.
