The room we had was pretty dated but spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable.

The floor was quite uneven and bouncy.

Outside looks dicey but the rooms are exactly like the pictures and we're beautiful. The views of the lake at sunset were absolutely stunning! I will go back and I recommend the Inn.

The room was recently renovated, the view is spectacular and the location in convenient to the highway and services. We had an excellent meal at the on property restaurant.

The motel was as to be expected but the Indian food is the true gem of this place. Absolutely unreal.

Beautiful location and pet friendly

Disgusting, dirty, missing lightbulbs, bugs everywhere, holes in all the curtains from sunrot, curtains not big enough to cover window, mold in bathrooms, huge dust bunnies under the bed, room door has huge metal piece sticking out that everyone kept walking into and cutting/bruising arms and fingers. We had 2 rooms and both were horrifying, we stayed a couple hours out of necessity but left as quickly as we could. Definitely did not shower or touch the icky beds with the rubber sheets. Both beds were broken and missing legs in one of the rooms and when we complained they said they would send somebody in an hour or so. Employee (nice guy but obviously overworked)showed up and it was the same guy from the front desk. He had a hammer and a chunk of wood. A very shaky "repair" was made but everything about this room was unsanitary and unsafe.

Heater fan knob fell off in my hand. Toilet seat was broken. Shelf in the bathroom is not properly secured. Difficult to open the door after a night of rain. No washcloths provided. Unfortunately this motel is in great need of renovation.

It is an excellent location. The bed was comfortable. The water was hot. Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful.

The waterfront experience. Quiet area despite the hwy. Every room has a view, deck chairs and parking right in front. Beds were comfy; neat as a pin. Launched our kayaks right from the beach;it doesn't get better than that.

The room had a musty, damp smell. That's it; the rest was great.

The view from our room and the private beach were amazing. I went for a morning dip before leaving in the morning. Beach to ourselves. Though I did not have the chance to eat there, the restaurant was nice inside. Very conveniently located. Owner was courteous and helpful to my daughter and I.

The toilet was not clean (but the seat was).

Pretty sure I was charged twice, even though I paid in full when booking, will be monitoring the charge and will dispute if it doesn’t revert, I mentioned this to the man at check-in but he quickly processed my payment anyway, the room had quite a few dead bugs and some live ones, the tv remote didn’t work and the tv only had 2 working channels? Lots of hair in the shower drain, what appear to be dog kibble on the floor? Just a tough stay all-around

It was clean, inside and out. Good food in the restaurant and terrific sunset from our room.

Loved this spot! We came across it while driving from Winnipeg to Toronto and it exceeded our expectations. Super cute, lovely lakefront property. For the same price as a budget hotel, we felt like we got rented a waterfront cottage for the night!

There was no breakfast

The owner is extremely rude - very unfriendly when we checked in. Our TV did not work, there are no instructions as to how to contact the office so used my cell phone to call. When I said I was calling from room 25 and the TV doesn’t work, he said “use the remote” and hung up. I called back and he said he would send someone within an hour. No one showed up until the next morning around 11 am - the TV was defective and was replaced. Next time I have to go to Thessalon I will stay out of town. This behaviour should not be rewarded with repeat business.

Beautiful location with lake view and beach front property. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately the smoke made it so we couldn’t enjoy the view and lake. Nobody’s fault, just disappointed we missed out on this opportunity.

This is a beautiful resort on a lovely lake. The motel rooms were lovely and clean. The beds were great and the view from our room was amazing. We did not eat at the resturant but could have. There are not many food options. We knew that so brought our own. Fridge and microwave in the room. Swimmable beach.

The manager was a bit gruff but maybe he was having a bad day.

Cleanliness, appearance, and value

The location - it is right on the highway, in close proximity to a Tim Hortons and convenience store, and is right on the lake.

The staff. The man at the front desk first said that they don’t honour booking.com reservations, then I explained it was non refundable and he told me to wait a half hour while he helped other customers. Then he repeatedly yelled at me for waiting at the front desk and told me he wouldn’t serve me and to just leave (I was just waiting patiently on a stool away from the front desk as instructed). I had no where else to go and had spent a lot of money on the booking so I waited patiently. As soon as he saw me talk to another customer (telling them it may be a minute) he helped them first then finally gave me a room. This is the first review I have ever written on the dozens of stays I have booked on this app as I felt it was necessary for this experience to go on record somewhere.

I have never left a negative review, but I felt I had to share this experience. My daughter and I were really looking forward to staying here. We checked in just before 8:00 PM and immediately found the arrival process strange. Communication was through a phone number posted on a paper attached to the wall. An employee unlocked the door but didn't open it or offer any greeting or welcome, leaving me to let myself in. The restaurant advertised on the website was closed (online menu states open until 9 pm 7 days/week). Paper taped to door read restaurant "Closed until Spring." After entering the room, I noticed a stain on one of the bed covers, along with two bugs. I thought - Ok, it's a stain. And there's sand so maybe they're just ants." We then went for dinner at the only restaurant open in town and, afterward, visited the beach at the inn. The view from the beach was beautiful, but the area around a fire pit had crushed beer cans, and there was broken glass in the sand, which was disappointing and raised safety concerns. When we returned to our room and got ready for bed, around 9:45 PM my daughter discovered additional stains on the bottom sheet of her bed (at the top corner and along the side) when she turned back the covers, and I found an ant crawling in my bed. I took photos of the stains and insect. At approximately 10:25 PM, I attempted to speak with management about the cleanliness issues. Management would not open the door and told me I should have reported the problems immediately upon arrival. He refused to meaningfully address the situation or offer any assistance. Given the apparent unsanitary condition of the room and the lack of response from management, we left at approximately 10:30 PM to find alternative accommodation for the night. The cleanliness issues alone were concerning, but the complete lack of customer service and unwillingness to address legitimate concerns made the experience far worse.

Love the property which has a super beach. The window in our room faced the water and one could sit in the room and with the sun coming in felt as if you were on the beach. The town is picturesque

The heater in the room blew cold air all night, no control dial to change it (broken). Room was a freezer for sleeping. Other guests parked their vehicles sideways in front of room doors instead of facing in, made parking lot difficult to park in heavy rainstorm. Poor experience overall.

They cancelled the room we had booked but one came open due to someone leaving so basically we paid twice for a room and had to argue with manager to get money back from the booking of first room. This took a couple of days.

The owner will enter your room without your knowledge. He will take what he wants out of your room. He is confrontational and unbelievably rude. He will yell at you and treat you with disrespect. He will charge you for an extra towel because you only paid for one. He shouldn't be in the service industry since he refuses to service customers that have paid in full. I have never experienced an owner going into my room when I'm not there and take what they want without consent. No AC either. Very very poor service. I would NEVER recommend staying here. Read all the reviews. All of them will confirm his miss treatment to people. Terrible person.

The bathtub was unusable. It was moldy and dirty. The owner/ operator took a personal cell phone picture of my credit card and driver's license and I have no proof that it was erased. He took them away to another countertop out of my reach to do this.

This hotel is an old building, but the bed was comfortable and everything worked in it. It was clean & comfy. It is just off the hwy a bit. Easy to get to. Restaurant on sight with great food. The very best part was the view!!! The motel is on a bay and the sunset was gorgeous!! The motel windows face the water! Nothing beats it!

Nice place with a private beach. But the beach chairs were broken. Otherwise, very relaxing place. Food at restaurant was great as was the service. Chairs to relax at the out front door. Room was clean and very roomy with a beautiful view of the lake. Would stay there again.

Stayed overnight in Thessalon on a road trip across Canada. The view from the hotel was beautiful of Lake Huron. Dining options were extremely limited, the room was very small, beds were uncomfortable, the room was not very clean and we were uncomfortable leaving anything in our car due to the clientele. Would pass this by.

An older property that has been remodeled, refurbished, repainted, is very comfortable, and a wonderful value. The attached restaurant served beyond excellent food in a beautiful setting overlooking Georgian Bay at sunset.

Room wasn’t ready, garbage on property, dirty floors, tub didn’t drain properly. Owner unwelcoming and pushy, had to ask him to return my drivers license. Horrible stay

Rooms are clean and sufficient, lacking a few light bulbs, not so clean coffee maker with creamers so old that have become hard like flint. The view is breathtaking. The restaurant is expensive and in the many time I’ve been there have never seen any patrons. In all the motel is good and adequate, don’t expect more.

Beautiful lakeside.

This is clearly an older property but my room was clean, everything worked, checkin was easy & efficient. I love parking right outside my door, and I felt completely safe. Mostly, I enjoyed walking around the lakefront and watching a gorgeous sunset—perfect after a long day of driving.

We had excellent Indian cuisine in the restaurant. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a great view of the sunset from the hotel beach.

Pros: -View was very nice. Cons: -Road was blocked by construction -Check-in at restaurant smelled like a rotting corpse -No Wifi -Very thin walls -Room stunk of strong mold, old man funk, & feet -A/C was black inside with mold -Windows were ancient and wont stay open -Whole room was so filthy and cheap -Bathroom was disgusting -Coffee pot was dirty and old -Coffee pouches looked very old/expired -Toiletries offered looked second hand mismatched -Towels were dirty, old, and tattered -Sheets and pillows had stains and.. dirt? -Literally nowhere to go with road blocked so if you want to go outside to escape the filth and stench, you only get hot asphalt stink and loud drunk people everywhere, also complaining about the rooms. We stayed at this "resort" just one night, and will not be retirning every again.

Great location, parking for a truck with a large trailer

Shower drain was clogged

Construction on roads infront of establishment. Noisy but nearing completion. Parking is gravel. Difficult with motorcycle side stands.

We got a room furthest away from the highway, which was good. Bed, once checked for critters, was comfortable.

The room was essentially not cleaned. Sheets stained. Beard stubbles all around the bathroom sink. Dirty shower. Squashed mosquitos on the walls. And a lovely family of (live) spiders that had claimed most of the room to themselves. Outdated equipment. Wires that seemed to have been ripped right out of the wall without plastering over. The person working reception seemed to be bothered by their customers. Sorry to be a hassle. We won't bother you again.

Suggestion .Shower & Tub area could use a grab bar for the older people using the tub. Bye the way ,I booked for the 11 &12 OF Sept 2 Nights not 1 So I stayed for 2. I did not checkout I left at 5am on the 13th so I ow these people for two nights[nobody up at that time. So I have to make that right?

Beautiful view. Restaurant had a nice choice of items - we had vegetarian, gluten free and chicken that suited our group of four.

Beds were hard. Fridge was barely functional. HVAC was very loud. Could have caused mire disposal glasses. None in the bathroom and only two paper coffee cups. Toilet paper was just on the back of the toilet.

The location of this motel is excellent, a beautiful spot with a private beach and a restaurant on site. On the way out a gas station and timmies right at the highway ramp. Although old fashioned, this motel has been renovated, is clean and the beds are comfortable

This review is difficult because of the extreme difference between the view and the hotel. The hotel is dated, no electrical outlets next to the bed, no blackout curtains, old carpet. But the location and view are spectacular and the price is low. If they renovated this hotel it could be a goldmine.
