Victoria Inn

I can highly recommend the Victoria Inn!. It’s exactly what I imagine a typical, well-run English guesthouse with a traditional pub to be. The pub is spacious and very cosily furnished. It also has a terrace which can be used in fine weather. I also really liked the location right in the heart of Peckham, though that’s certainly a matter of personal taste, depending on what you want to do and where in London you want to be. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The room with en-suite bathroom meets good modern standards; I didn’t find anything missing and certainly had no complaints. What I’d particularly like to highlight is the breakfast. I had a very good Full English Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious and left nothing to be desired.

A lovely pub with rooms, comfortable and spacious, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed 3 nights, ate at the pub which was lovely, good beer and a nice area with some shops, restaurants and good transport links from Peckham Rye. Will definitely stay again.

The room/bathroom needed a little paint just to bring it up to excellent standard, but didn't distract from our stay.

Location was great, close to where I needed to be for work.

Unfortunately, there was very little ventilation and airflow in the upper rooms, so my room was consistently very warm, uncomfortably so, it actually felt way warmer inside than outside. I was also next to a fire door that wasn’t fully damped, so every time someone entered or exited the floor, the door slammed right behind my headboard. Additionally, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and there was a slight smell of dampness coming from the AC unit.

The room was stifling hot,and not enough windows to open for ventilation. There was a AC unit but we wasn't comfortable turning it on as it looked like it has seen better days. The breakfast was extremely poor, waited a long time for it and when it finally arrived most of it was cold.....poor

We were down for an event in brixton, the location was great, a short walk to the train station. A special mention to hannah at the Victoria inn, who made getting around for us so much easier by calling taxis for us, hannah is awesome, all of the staff were excellent we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. We had breakfast and a burger whilst staying, really good, happy days, we'd definitely stay again and have already recommended the hotel/bat to others.

The property was in a great location for the party we where going to. Room was a nice size, clean and had an ironing board and hairdryer which was great. We where given a key to let ourselves in after the pub closed.

Great location, ornate and traditional building and pub. Very friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing specific i didn't like but the air con in our room was quite noisy, so we had to turn off at night, and we couldn't open our windows to get natural air to the room. The shower area needed some TLC and updating as the grouting had mould in places. But other than that, the facilities were great 👍

A good sized room with comfy bed. A good choice for breakfast and very tasty. I liked having a key for the safe and being able to return to the room without walking through the inn.

Two minor improvements please. There was no soap dish, so we had to put our wet soap on the vanity top, which felt unnatural. There was no privacy film on the bathroom window, so we had to keep the blind down, but my wife would have preferred natural light when doing her makeup.

The room (No.3) is becoming dated, and in need of some maintnence to address minor defects - maily cosmetic but the tiles an the shower and the cracked basin should be a priority. The air.conditoning unit was difficult/impossibel to operate - some instructions (and new batteries in the remote) would be useful. Room safe not working (staff did provide a solution as they were aware of the iissue)..

The staff was wonderful So helpful with anything I needed. I will and have already recommended this lovely Inn. The food was well above my expectations.

The stairs, not that they can be helped, but im not a fan. Also, my bed was bit tall and lopsided mattress wise.

We hebben al eens gelogeerd in de Victoria Inn en waren gecharmeerd van het authentieke Engelse karakter en sfeer en het goede Engelse ontbijt. Dat wilden we de kleinzoon laten zien. Gelukkig had de kamer nu ook iets heel moderns: airco, een zegen bij de temperaturen tijdens de 5e hittegolf van 2026. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, het ontbijt uitstekend, en de ligging van de Inn t.o.v. openbaar vervoer en winkels/supermarkten ook uitstekend.

De slaapbank van de familiekamer is al lang aan pensioen toe. De handdouche kent een klein probleem, is ergens aan de zijkant van het handvat lek. Toiletbril zat wat los en scheef.

The aircons didn’t work in the room and they wouldn’t move my room, they said the aircons were broken in all rooms when it was the hottest day recorded in history in London. Beds not comfortable either. didn’t offer any sort of compensation for this. 330 pounds for two nights in a very average pub is not okay.

The accommodation is above a pub and close to Peckham Rye station The room was very nice with all you would expect - the important things, comfy bed and good shower were great. The Victoria is on a minor high street with cafes & independent shop x The pub serves good affordable food. A great place for an overnight/ weekend break.

The price. We had 5 nights in London on a six week trip. So had a budget. Would I book it again. NOPE

Smelt damp and mouldy as you entered the downstairs bar. Did not eat there for that reason. Left our bags while we waited for room. When we returned these had not been placed in our room. Heading for the stairs we soon understood why. 3 sets of very narrow stairs in 30 plus degree heat. Room was tidy and bed was fine. The so called air con was considerably lacking. But did drip all over the carpet adding the wet smell. Did we consider moving YES YES YES. No window opening. Was like a hot box at night. No fan. Lucky I had a small travel one. Saw no staff as we did not eat there, but room was serviced every day and replaced bottled water.

The air conditioning unit was brilliant as we stayed during a heat wave! Although it was a little noisy. Comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The breakfast was really well cooked and flavoursome. A simple menu but catered for everyone. Straight forward check in and out. And quiet location not far from the train station and high street.

The staff were really friendly and approachable.

The weather was 30+ degrees and it's not that we didn't like that the air conditioning wasn't working well. It was probably a matter of it not being able to cope with the heat. Perhaps more summer options at breakfast, like granola and fruit, as it was too hot for a cooked breakfast.

Very comfortable bed, fantastic location and the food is great. Fab little pub with a wonderful selection of drinks and brilliant restaurants close by, too. Perfect transport route close by with Peckham Rye station.

Breakfast service is a little slow and there's no juice/tea/coffee available to help yourself when you arrive but when it does the food is great, and the staff are very nice

Lovely hosts and staff in the bar downstairs, easy to navigate around the rooms and entrances. Host was lovely made us feel very welcome

Rooms were just a little bit warm air con was facilitated but it was a little noisy so we had to keep switching it off but no fault of the hotels

Moderne badkamer met een goede douche. Lekker groot bed met een goed matras. Hotel ligt op 10 min lopen van de overground metro dus een prima verbinding naar de stad

Kamer had een lekke airco waardoor deze erg veel lawaai maakte en water lekte in de kamer. Niet erg prettig aangezien het boven de 30 graden was de dagen dat wij er waren. Verder zaten wij met onze kamer aan de straatkant dus hoorde je best veel geluiden van buiten.

The room was very small and dark for the price - it felt a bit claustrophobic- I would’ve liked to have a view out the windows (frosted glass and blinds pulled down)

We stayed here on Sat 13th for one night, as we were going to the 58th St jazz club. The welcome was great, the chap could not do enough for us. When we were all dressed up in our finery, he was complimentary and took lots of photos for us. Our room was lovely, had everything we could need, bed was very comfy. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was very good, and lovely lady served us.

Air con not working. The manager did try to help by bringing a fan up but it was still too hot. The deco is tired, the blind was in tatters and one curtain hanging off. The breakfast wasn’t very nice, sausages were a weird texture. I couldn’t fault the staff though.

Check in a bit chaotic. Staff pleasant. Room very clean as were bedding and towels. The room and bathroom are a bit in need of an upgrade. There were no pods for the coffee machine. Overall not bad however even for London would have expected it too be a bit better for £220.

Stayed on Bank Holiday Monday. The hotel staff were lovely and Del made everything easier. We received key before check in as went to a festival and would of missed the latest check inn. Booked 2 rooms, which were small but comfortable and had air conditioning which was a added bonus. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely. Would recommend, will stay again.

No natural light or air in the rooms, really hard to do make up as no mirrors you can get up close to and awful lighting. Not good if you have booked it to go to belle Livingstons club and want to look great!

We always stay here when visiting my daughter. All the staff are super helpful and welcoming and it feels nice to have a cosy place to retreat back to and relax. Lovely hot shower with power and comfortable beds
