There was a problem with the toilet that required manually turning a valve to operate the flush.

Had Burger for dinner at £17.95 and was not nice. Tasted fishy, dripping in fat. Nice home made chips but tasted fishy. Didn't have breakfast as the dinner was so bad.

Check in was fine - Staff were pleasant and helpful.

My room lost power overnight and this lasted until about 8.30am.... Power was restored and then lost again at around 10.15am (can't remember exact time). After power had been restored the first time, I showered and dressed, then went for breakfast at around 9.30am. Unfortunately, I was advised that the power to the kitchen had not been restored - therefore it was not possible to receive the advertised free cooked-breakfast. I understand that the power situation may have been outside of the control of the hotel staff - However, on checking-out, I received no apology for this inconvenience. Had better effort been made to explain the situation to guests, I would have felt more sympathetic towards to hotel.

Young lady in the bar Saturday evening, OMG, very very very slow service, light is on & no ones in, no ice in the ice bucket, went to kitchen a couple of times & came back empty handed. Ordered the chicken burger, chicken over cooked, coleslaw was tasteless & had way too much mayo, Breakfast was no better, everything was cold, I arrived around 8.30am, the breakfast must of been sitting there from the start, joke.

Night porter was there when I arrived, cheerful. Changed my room as I was traveling with my dog, she was happy to do that. Helped me with food as I had been traveling all day.

Dubbel sängen var alldeles för liten. 140cm säng är inte en dubbel säng. Betalade för dubbel rum och fick sova i en tillfällig säng då vi båda inte fick plats i befintliga sängen. Bad om ett nytt rum men fick inget. Dåligt.

It was nice and clean but it had its issues

Sadly after finding our mattress was so hard it could feel the springs in it. Also we tried out another room to find the same issues. Along with leaking shower trays and drainage not working at all. The is a lot of improvement needed. Some new comfortable pocket sprung mattresses would be a good start not the 80s open coiled mattress they have so you can feel comfortable everything

Clean towels, access to breakfast and close to my event. There was also a modern hairdryer and iron with ironing board which was helpful

The room was basic, my tv didn’t work and the shower didn’t drain properly. There were spider webs and spiders in most corners and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable.

Good location for what we needed. Could book in late via the night porter as we travelled far. All what you need in the room. Parking good, plenty of space.

Hard bed. Didn't sleep well. Breakfast wasn't great, expensive for the quality, I'd stay again but not have breakfast. Tried to overcharge me for breakfast. Lady wasn't welcoming, all other staff were great.

Although the entire room was clean, the bath was quite badly stained. It was clean but it just didn’t look the nicest. The toilet also for some reason around 10pm took a long time to refill so that was quite noisy for us to go to sleep with. Eventually did stop, and didn’t happen again after that.

EV charger close to rooms, tea and coffee facilities were good, iron and ironing board available. Space to hang clothes and place case.

Bathroom was dirty, built up grime from a constant leak in bathroom. Bedding had something stuck to it. Beds were uncomfortable and door didn’t really close right, so all noise from outside could be heard. Wouldn’t stay again.

Undercooked veg at dinner. Coffee with no proper pasturised milk,and no crossiants or toaster at breakfast. Everything else was really good and would reccomend.

Breakfast was bad.green scrambled egg .no toast broken toaster.Room only was given 1hot chocolate a day were 2people staying also only 1 packet a day biscuits. Didn't know how to make campari spritz.Frozen dessert for dinner supposed to be defrosted. Rubbish bin emptied by left on table full of rubbish.

We are a family of 4 with our adult Son & Daughter who both have significant learning disabilities. We therefore need to make sure the hotel accommodation is then right for us all. After previously staying at Brome Grange in rooms 36 & 37 we decided to stay there again this year , plus they have a lift which i need due to MY disabilities, so I made sure I booked early enough. Early January 26 I rang the hotel to see if these rooms were both available for our dates in July, I was told they were so booked via Booking.com, rang the hotel with both rooms Confirmation and Pin numbers. She said the rooms were booked & sent emails with proof of both room bookings, I had 1 email from a Lindsay & another from Miranda. Arrived at the hotel in July very excited as our holiday was about to start only for the receptionist to look at me saying "oh, didn't realise you were disabled as our lift is broken & had been for a while" nobody had let us know. Obviously I was very upset as I am not able to do stairs very easily at all, she then said she would call the manager but meanwhile would book us in. She then continued to give us 2 completely different rooms that were not even near each other. I explained i had booked rooms 36 & 37 in Jan 26 & why with 2 confirmation emails, the one we showed her at the time was from Lindsay but her response was "oh she's resigned", that was irrelevant to me as my correct booking should still have been be there. The manager came along & offered us the Honeymoon suite for 1 night while they try to find something else, this was also unsuitable as there was only a small sofa bed as well as 1 superking.

Receptionist very polite and professional.

Bathroom light didn’t work and the shower tray over filled and spilled onto the floor. Reported this after the first evening but it wasn’t remedied.

The room was lovely and the staff really helpful

The breakfast was terrible! Swimming in grease and the scrabbled eggs looked inedible . The traffic noise is relentless and the windows only open a fraction so very hot in the room.

The room was pleasant enough, the sockets for charging were literally behind the pillow which i didn't feel was that safe, I wasn't informed of the room that i was staying was a disabled room. I probably will book this place again as a last resort.

All the staff I spoke to were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Especially the lady who served us in the breakfast room. Nothing was too much trouble! The king-size bed in my room seemed to have been a mega size bed. Not seen a bed this huge before and it was super comfy.

I was a bit surprised on pulling back the quilt, to find a small hole in the sheet (size of a cigarette burn or from the washing machine) and dirty scruff marks. As these were below the pillow they stood out. There was a piece of skirting next to the shower cubicle that was loose and either needs replacing or repairing. Also it looked like the vinyl around the basin has become unstuck and is sticking up. Looked very unhygienic.

we enquired if the room had a fridge before we set off and we were told it did. We need a fridge for temperature relaint medicines. There wasnt a fridge which we found to be annoying to say the least

I travel a lot and this is one of the worse places I've stayed in. The staff seemed poorly trained. Bar being manned by one person, who was running about all over the place which mean long waits.desser was served without spoons and we had to wait 15 minutes to find someone. The poor guy was taking a large order but I should have been able to find someone else or help myself. The breakfast server was surly and rude. It was a buffet and she told me I "could have asked", in a strongly negative tone suggesting I wasn't allowed to touch the coffee pot. But it was a buffet, so I expect to serve myself, no problem. But her attitude made it so. We were not the I ly party who thought she was rude. On our table there were 7 cups for a table for 4, and one place had nothing but knives and a spoon. No teaspoons available for the coffee without asking. Others who joined me got coffee without milk and no spoon. So why not let us serve ourselves if you're it doing anything? The scrambled egg was basically a mashed omelette. The place had a lot of flies about. Especially in the bar. The music was absolutely awful muzak-style corporate rubbish. The bedroom (28) had mound in the shower cubicle and around the frame. The floor is warped by the shower. The sink shoots water out onto the floor or down you if you're not careful. Overall, staff too casual and not enough training on how to work with customers. .

Shower was functional but broken on the handle . Was super hot throughout the night (we did go on a hot night though )

It catered for our needs with 2 small dogs. Clean and the biggest white bath sheets. Beds comfortable. The receptionist was lovely on arrival, very friendly and helpful. Bar staff and breakfast staff smiley and welcoming.

The main bar area was in need of a update, chairs very worn and grubby.

26 years ago we stayed here we stayed here for our Wedding Night and had a lovely experience and was hoping for the same especially as it was a couple of days before our anniversary.

Check in was 3p. We arrived at 3.30 got our roo. Card and the room hadn't been cleaned from the last occupants. A cleaner came up to us to say they hadn't got round to cleaning. Fortunately a family member lives a few miles away so we went to visit, so they had time to clean our room and a couple they had to do before ours.

The food was inedible, we witnessed lots of good hygiene violations and was unable to eat anything. The staff were dismissive, they seemed very short staffed.

Friendliness of staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed and a pillow that didn't keep me awake all night. I had an amazing nights sleep. Comfy relaxed bar area and great value. As a confirmed technophobe even I found it fairly straightforward to book. Would definitely use again. Thank you

The shower was rather difficult to adjust the temperature and not all rooms had a shelf in the shower for your toiletries.

It was dirty, dated and did not include a safe as advertised. Additionally our friends room was entered by someone else who had requested a new key card from reception, reception didn’t do any security checks before handing them the card to someone elses room. Do not stay here.

Friendly staff and very accommodating or most of them were! Comfortable bed and large rooms. Plenty of parking.

Better signage for the hotel. Comfortable outside seating rather than benches for those who aren't out all day!

Ran out of food on the menu and when I checked out they had added a second meal to my bill then was unable to remove at the time and still waiting for them to get back to me with new invoice and refund of food I did not have everything else was great

Good to be on the ground floor in the motel style courtyard. Fully opening windows.

The website states 2 restaurants and therefore I expected lots of choice. However in fact one serves breakfast only and the other does evening meals. At 7:20 pm I was unable to order food as the kitchen was reported to be too busy. It was suggested I called back in half an hour. Not sure why my order could not be taken , with an agreed later eating time. Non catering staff clearly unhappy in role. Lots of open moaning in corridors and in the courtyard. This is not the kind of world I wanted to experience when on holiday. My privacy disturbed by an electrician ‘popping in’ Why could this not be delayed until I checked out? ie half an hour later?

Had a courtyard room that was very old and tired, stains on the floors and walls and for some reason even in 25 degree weather all the radiators were on everywhere and when asking how to turn them off got told they are just on all the time and we can’t change it. No air con to counteract it but thank god there was a fan in the wardrobe. Really was expecting a bit more for what we paid, this place needs a good lick of paint and some new furniture to bring it back to life!

Food in the restaurant was poor. On the Friday lots of menu choices were not available, not great at the start of the stay. Really disappointed as last year the food was very good when we stayed at a similar time. Found somewhere nearby to eat on all subsequent nights and will consider staying elsewhere in 2027. Several others also complaining about food.

Easy access good car parking. Quiet and clean.

Very helpful staff. Our first room was very small. I’m not small and have some mobility problems due to spinal arthritis but the staff were marvellous in moving us to another room (5) which was very good with plenty of room and a good walk-in shower. Good food as well. Good carpark.

Lacks air conditioning in the very hot weather we had, but fans did help. Quite a busy road passing next to the building. Had a slight problem finding the entrance as the name was only visible from one direction.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice size room. Good beer.

The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, whatever you are paying them they deserve more. The food in the pub, I had zero expectations. Wow, all home made, absolutely excellent and great value. Thoroughly recommended Rooms are large and clean, shower is great, TV works easily, they restock all of the tea, coffee etc, pillows great, beds are in the form side. The heating is in your control and works very quickly. Excellent value I would also 100% recommend the Four Horseshoes pub in Thornham Magna. Fantastic historic pub with great food

The firmness of the bed, but we still slept well. Location wise it's in-between places but you would know that when booking. I only mention in case you think you can wander in to a village with a pub

Staff Rich and Angela went beyond my expectations to help me when my car window broke. Angela helped with cleaning materials and Rich cleared up broken glass and gaffa taped the remains of the window so that I could continue my journey. Heartfelt thanks to both of them.

Sounds as we pulled in bigger than expected. Good caf parking and electric charging points to .The great thing is facilities for pets good rate charge for dogs etc. Very welcoming staff and settled in good. Good food and restaurant and beer garden to really relaxing and well accommodation

A mixed experience. Some of the staff were great and definitely treated us as guests.

There was a power outage during our stay, nothing to do with the hotel, but the staff on duty did not think about the impact on us. We had to ask what was happening and luckily had a torch in the car as the room was in complete darkness for the entire evening into the early hours. Would have been nice if they'd asked if we needed anything. When there was electricity, no bedside lamps. Bathroom in need of a bit of TLC.

Could do with having a pot of coffee on the table at breakfast to help yourself to rather than having to ask for a refill. Room had everything needed, although front door (I stayed in one of the external rooms) was not sound-proofed so could hear people talking / walking and cars. Walls were thin, so could hear noises from next door.

Evening meal for wasn’t as expected. We ordered the shared grill but there were no chicken fillets. Some of the chicken wings were charred.

Staff were lively and accommodating and move me rooms when I complained the second was cleaner but still just as run down and shabby.

however the facilities themselves didn’t match the expectations of a best western very shabby and tatty. Chips out of wood, dirty bath in first room, weird window were somebody could see in the bathroom with peekaboo sticker on the outside. Honestly did not meet the expectations of a best westerns I’ve been to before. Is this property franchised? It’s definitely what it reminded me of… somewhere tha had been neglected and not kept up in standard with best westerns I have been to before.

The property is in a great quiet location. Nice very long country walks on the doorstep.
