Our second visit, the staff are friendly and always helpful, the breakfast is plentiful and a lovely choice, we have also had our evening meal there and highly recommend it.

At the price point the room was extremely small, not worth the money I paid. If I had seen the room, I would not have chosen to stay there.. Having stayed at this hotel several times previously , and was always very satisfied withe the accommodation. I was very disappointed.on this occasion

Great location on the river

The bedrooms at the rear look out over a car park and delivery vans are noisy sometimes from 630. Due to no air con in the hotel we had to have windows open so the delivery lorry noise was enough to wake you up. The other side of the hotel looks over the river so wouldn’t be so bad. Bar and restaurant are great. with air con noise wouldn’t be a problem.

The parking area was often full so we had to park in the supermarket car park for a while.This area was a bit run down looking which was out of keeping with the hotel. Glad we paid extra for a river view as wouldn’t have liked a room overlooking this area.

The location was excellent. We had a room with a balcony and the views were lovely. Bedroom was spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very clean and modern hotel and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was good and had gluten-free options. Had an evening meal there and it this was very good.

The hotel was very cleanand setting was amazing. View wasnt great but didnt stay in room much. Staff great especially lady on reception. Food very good. Bed was ok but partner struggled to get comfy. But rooms had everything we needed. Breakfast very good choices.

Didn’t look much on outside but once inside it was really nice, cosy decor and very clean

When I arrived the receptionist was on the phone to an employee discussing a customer’s Christmas dinner choices, going over and over the menu. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting to check in listening to her conversation. It was a bit rude of her to continue the conversation for such a long time and not just politely say to the employee on the phone that she would call back in a few minutes. By the end I was feeling impatient, the receptionist had gone over and over the same conversation at least 4 times

The food was expensive but excellent Staff were most helpful Lisa was lovely and kind and very polite gave me a dog bed and treats for m6 dog very dog friendly

The room was tiny and wheelie bin noise the room was positioned at the back of the hotel so not a great view but I did ask for a single room alot of confusion caused by booking dot com about dates available but fine once I was there very hard working.staff. Very dark in the hallway to my room even in daytime which was a hazard .room 10

Waterfront position. Hotel decoration created a warm and calm atmosphere.

Could hear traffic crossing bridge, starting about 4.30am and then disturbed again when bins were collected from adjoining businesses. We felt some of the younger waiters could do with a little more direction/training when serving/clearing tables.

Staff and Owner were just amazing and wonderfully welcoming of us and our new Beagle, Bonnie. Rooms with balcony overlooking the water - truely amazing and wonderful. Lovely comfy beds and pillow. Paid for doggy, but got a bed, blanket, treats, poo bags, water bowls and a towel - great & would definitely come and stay again. Food was lovely. Breakfast was amazing.

There was nothing to dislike - it was AMAZING.

It was great being by the water and watching the boats going by , having breakfast outside, the bed room was very clean modern and comfortable.

Restaurant prices high, price increased so much since our last meal there, we were so looking forward to using the restaurant but not at these prices! Bar prices extortionate, just walk for less than 5 minutes & drinks etc virtually half price! Same nice views so no brainer!

No lift and had to carry cases upstairs this could be an issue with disabilities. although it was extra warm/hot the property itself especially upstairs was very uncomfortable with the heat due to lack of any calling except a fan which just pushed the hot air around the room. Temperature was 29-30°. The bathroom temperature was 34° and the fan in the bathroom what the smallest I have ever seen. Also, the staffing wasn’t adequate for the people that just dropped in also to have meals, et cetera.

We found the staff really friendly and the hotel had taken note of our request sent with the booking. The room was well equipped very clean and comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were freshly prepared and good quality.

Its a tricky place to find on your first visit that could be fixed by a bigger clear sign on the entrance road.

Beautifully kept hotel in a prime location with a great terrace overlooking the river and boats attempting to navigate the low bridge. Excellent choices for the cold buffet breakfast and hot food cooked to order. Very smart spacious lounge, bar and restaurant with friendly and helpful staff.

We only had a few minor issues which didn't detract from our stay at all. Difficult to find free parking spot due to our late arrival, the bedding was too thick for us considering the time of year and the lack of air conditioning in the property. Unfortunately our late booking meant we had a standard double at a quite expensive price near to some kind of noisy ventilation system.

Not really the hotels fault but the room temperature was quite unbearable at times. Exceptional temperatures at the moment, no aircon which is probably required most summers with a flat roof.

Clean, modern facilities. Comfortable bed, decent shower. Elemis products a welcome quality touch as was the well stocked tea tray. Polite friendly staff, good variety of breakfast items, excellent cooked breakfast with quality produce.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs cooked perfectly and food was delicious. Location on the water was a very pleasant bonus. Room, although small, was perfectly clean and comfortable for a single person and equipped with everything I needed.

I found that as a woman dining alone on a Saturday night it was difficult to get service, probably more noticeable because I was on my own with no one to fill the gap with conversation.

Location is perfect right on the river bank and ideal for a lazy afternoon watching the boats go by. The hotel was clean, the rooms were lovely and the staff were polite and vey helpful. The bar and restaurant is very nice overlooking the river and the food and drinks were exceptional and worth the bit extra you pay for them. Parking is free and on site so overall a great hotel.

Only couple of negatives are no air con in the rooms which in the recent hot weather became very hot, but we shouldn’t really complain about the sunny weather and a fan was provided so does help. Also no lift which although didn’t bother me, was a bit of a struggle for our 86 year mum at times. Aside from this it was a lovely stay.

Room was very uncomfortable until 9.30pm when we got it cooled down. We booked this with a balcony for my wife's 80th birthday thinking that we could sit outside--80 year olds could not climb up on to those awful high chairs. Fan should have been put on prior to our arrival and the curtains closed.

We booked for 3 nights but only stayed 2. The room was far too hot and stifling at night. The weather wasn't that hot, it was just there was no ventilation. The fan provided didn't help. We paid for our dog to stay, the room should never be made available for dogs, they must know there's an issue with heat at night. When we complained we were told it's a listed building so there's nothing they can do. I really question this as it's a '70's build with no insulation. We would definitely noit recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately our room was not what we were expecting.While the bed was comfortable and extras like quality coffee,tea etc .The room was quite compact, the bathroom tiny, the shower was so neat I could barely turn around.This night away was a surprise birthday treat from my husband and wasn' t up to our expectations.

Room was very clean and serviced every morning. Breakfast (included) very good and restaurant good but a bit pricey. The decor in the main entrance, dining room and patio all very good with plenty of seating areas. Lots of boats mooring and holiday makers coming in for drinks and meals which gave the bar area a good atmosphere

The staff, although effecient and pleasant had no personality. No chat or pleasanturies. Very sombre apart from the Spanish waiter and a young chap waiting on tables. The receptionist could not even be bothered to stand or address me when she was giving me my final bill and was quite brusque. Not acceptable. The bar area in the evening the locals would come in for drinks and the language was terrible. My husband and I were sat around the corner having a last drink and the 'f....' word was very audible and literally every other word!! Not what I would expect from this kind of establishment.

Very overpriced in general. Outdated facilities. For the price, I really don't recommend staying here. Most importantly, AIR CONDITIONING has to be installed here for summer stays. Until they have AC installed, please avoid if you can. Our room was a non water view room and it had no ventilation whatsoever. The room trapped heat and no matter what we did to get rid of it, with the window fully open, fan on top of the chair and luggage and wet towels draped everywhere for cooling; it was still over 30 degrees in the room at all times, even when it was 20 degrees over night. When I asked for another fan, I was told there isn't one and that was the end of it. The breakfast was fine and the service was great, but the plates and cups were dirty often. A pint was more expensive than London, this one still baffles me. The bathroom was probably less than one square metre, I barely fit in there so if you're over 6 foot, bear that in mind.

Breakfast were very good a nice selection and cooked well. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Bed were really comfortable, shower gel,shampoo etc were high end and beautiful. Bottled water provided each day as well as various tea, coffee and biscuits.

The room was exceptionally hot, a fan is provided but with the excessive temperatures of the last couple of days it was difficult to sleep. In fairness to the hotel it was made clear there was no air conditioning when booking…… that was my only slight downside.

Did not like the food. Did not like that I was charged £25 for 50 min over stay. We thought check out was at 12 and it was actually 11am. We have not been made aware at the time of arrival. Disappointed

Excellent waitress at breakfast (had glasses), very efficient and friendly. Great food too. Loved the biscuit and selection of teas and water - and all complimentary. Nice touch.

Receptionist a bit hasty in showing us around and not actually listening for our answers to our questions but otherwise very good.

The exterior of the building doesn't do justice to the interior. We liked the room, the comfy beds and soft pillows. The large walk-in shower was powerful. The dining room had views of the Marina. The food we chose off the menu was tasty, reasonably priced and the service good. The breakfast was ample with a range of hot dishes as well as the continental options. I had a kipper from Lowestoft which was very tasty. There were four destination EV chargers in the car park, ideal for our car.

Can't think of anything but perhaps the excess of cushions with which they dress the beds. Why do hotels do this? What is the purpose of them all?

It's a shame there isn't a lift. At the moment we manage the stairs ok so not such a problem.

Well from arrival and meeting the fantastic Enrique who was so helpful, it’s been a perfect stay! What a joy, a G&T on arrival, a nightcap on the private balcony followed by the best nights sleep, quiet and very comfortable 💤 Lovely bathroom with everything you need and more, then down for a SUPERB breakfast served by the very attentive Lisa. Also briefly met the lady at the top that makes it all happen, great people - fantastic hotel! - THANK YOU ALL 😊 In summary don’t hesitate they make sure you have a great stay! 🛌
