Die Lage des The Isolano ist wirklich hervorragend: direkt in erster Reihe am Meer, mit einem kleinen, sauberen Strand, der für die Grösse des Hotels absolut ausreichend ist. Gleichzeitig ist die Stadt bequem zu Fuss erreichbar. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir auch das Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant. Wir wurden immer sehr freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit behandelt. Man merkt zwar gelegentlich, dass nicht alle Mitarbeitenden klassische Gastroprofis sind, für uns hat das dem positiven Eindruck aber keinen Abbruch getan. Das Frühstück könnte für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel etwas mehr Auswahl bieten. Qualitativ waren wir jedoch sehr zufrieden: Insbesondere die frisch auf Bestellung zubereiteten Speisen waren jedes Mal hervorragend und uns hat es insgesamt sehr gut geschmeckt.

Unser mit Abstand grösster Kritikpunkt ist der Pool. Leider waren deutlich Algen und Schimmel zu sehen und wir hatten nicht den Eindruck, dass der Pool ausreichend regelmässig gereinigt wird. Gerade bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie sollte das nicht vorkommen und hier besteht aus unserer Sicht dringender Handlungsbedarf. Auch einige zerrissene bzw. deutlich abgenutzte Sonnenschirme passen optisch nicht ganz zum 5-Sterne-Anspruch, auch wenn sie weiterhin funktionsfähig sind. Beim Housekeeping waren unsere Erfahrungen sehr unterschiedlich. Wir haben durchaus gute und sorgfältige Mitarbeitende erlebt, teilweise wirkte das Personal aber auch noch unerfahren und wenig professionell. Ein Beispiel: Wenn man frühmorgens seinen Kaffee mit Blick auf die wunderschöne, noch ruhige Bucht geniesst, ist es etwas schade, wenn während der Reinigung der Liegeterrasse direkt darunter lautstark private Telefongespräche geführt werden. Solche Kleinigkeiten mögen banal erscheinen, machen in einem 5-Sterne-Haus aber einen Unterschied. Schliesslich zahlt man für die Zimmer zum Wasser unter anderem ja auch deswegen einen Aufpreis zum ohnehin stolzen Preis. Insgesamt sind es für uns keine Punkte, die den Aufenthalt grundsätzlich schlecht gemacht haben, aber gerade bei einem 5-Sterne-Hotel und dem entsprechenden Preisniveau darf man in einigen Bereichen noch etwas mehr Konsequenz und Liebe zum Detail erwarten.

Temizlik çok iyiydi, ikramları bol ve kaliteli. Çalışanlar çok güler yüzlü. Banyo ve tuvalet yeni ve kaliteli malzeme ile yapılmış. Odanın içinde jakuzi olması çok keyifli. Ücretsiz otopark mükemmel.

Belli bir saatten sonra otelde görevli olmuyor. Otelde güvenlik kamerası da göremedim. Ama var mı yok mu emin değilim. Biraz şehir dışı ama yakınlarında Mc Donald’s ve market var.

Late check in is possible. You have beer and chocolate on the house, love the old design and the robot at the entrance, the staff were very friendly

For late check in you have to enter around in some creepy entrance and people smoke there, better arrive on time :)

Excellent location, cosy and stylish hotel room with many extras, e.g free mini bar, speakers, various light effects, speaker for mobile phone, candle light, etc.

Super schönes Hotel, toll gelegen, das Zimmer war super sauber, und schön geräumig. Extrem hervorzuheben das Personal ist extrem freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich kann dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen, ich komme ganz sicher wieder!

Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

l'accueil de la jeune fille qui parlait un peu français. La mise à disposition d'un frigo avec des boissons fraiches (surtout qu'il faisait très chaud), une machines à expresso pour le matin. L'hôtel est en fin de zone industrielle et à la campagne donc appréciable

Außergewöhnlich netter, persönlicher Service – immer bemüht, mir den Aufenthalt angenehm zu machen. Als ich nach einem langen Arbeitstag erst gegen halb zehn Uhr abends nach Küchenschluss im Hotel eintraf, bekam ich im Handumdrehen eine ausgezeichnete Auswahl an Rohmilchkäse mit frischem Brot als Abendessen serviert. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.

Kleiner Wermutstropfen: Neben der Whirlpool-Badewanne im Zimmer stand bei meiner Ankunft eine leere Badezusatz-Dose, die auch nicht durch aufgefüllt oder ersetzt wurde.

Fantastisk restaurang - ägarna månar verkligen om sina gäster.

Altes Haus, viel Teppiche, Stufen, Antiquitäten im Gang, das Zimmer jedoch modern und funktionell eingerichtet. Das Fahrrad konnte in einem Schuppen untergebracht und auch geladen werden.

Preis-Leistung hat aus meiner Sicht nicht gepasst.

Da mein Zimmer noch nicht gemacht war, bekam ich ein upgrade in eine bessere Zimmerkategorie. Auch das Konzept mit den Getränken (in Glasflaschen) auf dem Flur finde ich grossartig!

The staff were extremely welcoming and catered to our every need. They were also very kind whenever we needed anything extra. The restaurant at the hotel is first class and I thoroughly recommend visitors eat there!

Lovely historic house but modern features The owner was very hospitable and welcoming. Such a massive house/hotel. River and lovely scenery nearby. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Fabulous traditional hotel complete with squeaky floors, winding corridors and stairs - the view from my room to the river was direct on to nature and I could hear the river - very soothing. The breakfast was outstanding - best scrambled eggs ever and the variety of jams and fresh bread etc just great.

I stayed on a Tuesday night / it seems the restaurant is closed mon-wed but it would have been nice to know this in advance - there is nowhere, at all, in the immediate vicinity to find a decent meal on Monday or Tuesday - I was directed to the local macdonalds or the petrol station. it was chilly and drizzling; I was on foot :( (Wednesday apparently there is a restaurant across the road). I would really have appreciated notification of this in advance. It would also have been nice if the hotelier had offered a simple plate of cold meat and cheese … they have this available for breakfast! It won’t stop me staying again as everything else was great but it was disappointing on the night.

Breakfast was lovely and very rich. The bread was very good. The building is very nice and I loved the charme. The room was extremely nice with the spa.

The light at the entrance door during the night could be with movement detection. I think it didn't work. Air conditioning would be great.

Very cold hotel room upon our arrival, the ceiling of the room all cracked seemed to have to fall at any moment, the very feeling of the floor of the room that was uphill ..the bathroom was ok the hot water ok also the bed is comfortable and silence room

The dinner was exceptional. The way the dishes were prepared and the quality and freshness of the food where incredible. It's clear where the owner's/chef's passion lies. What looked to be a quiet day for the hotel turned into a fully booked restaurant with local guests coming from everywhere filling up the big parking lot to the last spot. All cars were gone when we left early next morning.

The rooms are big but simple and dated. Don't get me wrong, all facilities were available (except for AC) but for getting a cup of coffee after waking up in the morning you need to go outside your room to find a nespresso machine installed in a closet for general use. Looking at the room rates compared to other hotels we have visited in Switzerland, then this hotel could improve their room facilities. Especially when you have such an excellent chef in the kitchen.

The hotel is located at a busy, unattractive road junction although the rooms at the rear are quiet. The rooms are well appointed and clean. However when we were there the hotel was virtually unstaffed and the young woman who did appear to show us to our room was polite but unhelpful. The restaurant was unfortunately closed. The price asked for these rooms is usually high for a 3 star hotel in this area and there are better and cheaper options nearby. I cannot recommend this hotel.

I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for a night in March 2020. The purpose of the visit was for business and there was also a meeting at the hotel. I had lunch at the hotel with the other meeting attendees and the food was excellent. The rooms were large and the breakfast the following morning was more of a dinner (than a breakfast). Most of the staff can speak English (as I don't speak German) and were very friendly.

Rooms are given Latin name such as "veni, vidi, vici", have modern furniture, but you can still see the vintage infrastructure such as the bidet or water taps in the bathroom. There is free coffee, tea, mineral water and some sweet available for all rooms in the hall. The restaurant is top notch! There is e.g. a 13 courses menu available and a fantastic choice of mature cheese. The restaurant serves mainly traditional Swiss menus such as 3 filets. It all comes with a price tag but it is worth it!

Although the hotel is not so far away from a busy road the rooms are very quiet and comfortable and there is a stream running behind the hotel which my room had a view of which makes the whole thing peaceful the room also had a spacious balcony where one can sit out and enjoy the nature around it. The owner himself is the Chef very down to earth and friendly he and his staff were ready to fulfil every wish.

A great find a boutique hotel that has an electric mix. The room is an treasure trove of surprises. A superb welcome awaits you friendly and attentive staff, together with great food. I will definitely return whether on business or pleasure

First time in this place. The surroundings are not particularly in harmony with the hotel. I was very disapointed that the restauant was closed on Monday and Tuesday so couldn't taste their famous chef's cuisine. I had the room Carpe Diem with a design that didn't match the rest of the buidling. Very nice breakfast. Hope to go there again when the restaurant is open.

This hotel feels like a home that happens to take guests, from the friendly welcome through the well appointed rooms and, of course, not forgetting the most wonderful dalmatian. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone

In 2010 we stayed in Hotel Krone and we experienced a special time which stayed in our memories over the years. Now, 5 years later, after our holiday in Italy we decided to pay hotel Krone another visit and we had a great stay. From a sublime (star!) dinner to a great room with whirlpool bath/ free wifi and relaxing music in our room, our evening was wonderfull. In the morning we were treated to a great breakfast. The owners are warm and welcoming and the staff very friendly and helpfull. The hotel breathes a warm atmosphere. I am sure we will find our way to Hotel Krone once again in the next couple of years.

Stayed here for one night. The price, 170 CF, was great and included free bottled water, soda, and beer! Hotel is neat old hotel, with unique rooms and an attached barn with stables. There was a quaint resturant, but we did not get a chance to try it for breakfast or dinner. The staff was extremely friendly, but sometimes a bit hard to get a hold of.

Charming, old worldly, this family run establishment is now in its 12th generation. Its guest book alone is a time trip into another world. The rooms and furniture complete the ambience. Recently we had reason to celebrate and decided for the Krone’s gourmet meal: a series of 8 (or 9) courses, each one small and magical, and each one accompanied by a glass of the perfect wine. The service was impeccable, as always. Just a small idea: At the beginning of the evening they asked if there was anything any of us could not or would not eat. I mentioned my gluten sensitivity and: Voila- they served me with freshly baked, gluten-free and utterly delicious warm bread and rolls. That has never happened to me elsewhere. The evening was perfect. If I can load it up i will complete my reference with a shot of the cheese cart, which alone is worth a visit.

This place is an excellent choise for a romantic weekend. We had a great room equipped with multimedia system and jacuzzi. Soft drinks, beer, coffee and icecream is available and included in the room rate. The restaurant is one of the best I have ever visited. The awesome young chef is extremely creative, blending asian flavours with traditional Swiss cuisine.
