ONOMO Hotel Rabat Medina

Practical for short trips. Close to the Medina and other touristic point, many dinning options around and quiet at night.

The location is amaizing, just blocks away from the Medina, the palace, and the RABAT VILLE train station. Many places to eat and have refeshments. Was quiet at night, and you can hear the call of prayer from the mosque near by. Really safe. Breakfast was good, but only starts at 7am.

Not a good hotel. All they want is your money

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable

We stayed for one night and it was everything we needed. Room was a good amount of space and the location was walkable to the areas of interest.

Nice, easy relaxing, stay.

Good

Generally it is ok, But they are poor to manage alternative room without AC. It took longer and suggestions to solve the problem.

Staff very nice, helpful, really very good place to stay and visit Rabat

I enjoyed my bedroom a lot, it was clean, comfortable and quiet with a lovely view. Breakfast was five over all, I would appreciate some fresh fruits and more natural juices. A very convenient location, a few minutes away from Rabat Ville train station, regular restaurants for reasonable priced and good quality food, also a short walk to the central market, the medina and about 25 mins in foot to the khazba. I would return to it!

The staff was excellent. Room was comfortable and we were within easy walking distance to Hassan tower, the Medina and more. We were right next to a mosque and it was interesting and fun to hear the prayers. Reasonable price. I recommend

The staff at Onomo Rabat were truly wonderful. So kind and helpful.

This is a good hotel in the centre of Rabat, five minutes from Rabat Ville train station and the medina. Good-sized and modern room overlooking a mosque and park in a quiet area of the city. The breakfast was average. The only down point to this were that most of the staff are fairly unfriendly and don't acknowledge you even when passing the reception desk. The doorman and cleaner are the only staff who actually have a pleasant demeanour. So apart from the staff, this is a good place to stay.

Great location. I was only there a couple nights, but I was able to walk to several museums and the beach in the same day. The room was nice and comfortable. The service was great.

Expedia once again lies about the property or it is the property who embellished its property. Either way no business center no laundry no spa no in room massage poor breakfast loud area noisy streets small elevator and body towels that are like sand paper. Post honest and accurate descriptions to your supposed guests. I am thankful from past experiences to NEVER book more than one day. Thanks Expedia for the lesson learned.

Admittedly I did not read the description of the hotel in great detail before booking to réalise that this is a 3 star accommodation. The check in process was terrible as we had to wait 30 minutes for the one guy working at reception to attend to us. The rooms are small and cramped The pillows barely had any filling in them, it was almost as if you were sleeping on the ground. After an uncomfortable night of sleep we were met with pounding in the room above us, the sound of drills and hammers at 9am with no consideration for guests sleeping. In a decade of travelling to Morocco this was easily the worst accomodation I have ever stayed at. Read carefully before booking

Location is good to get around the city; however, it’s too noisy due to the proximity to the road. Also, really couldn’t sleep in because of noise inside the hotel from some kind of work happening inside or whatever at 9:am in the morning. I also didn’t like the fact that I had to go to reception every time to ask for housekeeping; when it should be done daily. Another not so great thing is that the towels provided were smelly, so I had to use my own towel that I had brought just in case. Overall, it’s an average hotel!

The hotel happens to be located near a mosque where a call to prayer at 5:00AM is kind of disrupting. But, overall, the hotel is great!!

I stayed before here, liked it, unfortunately the guy was in duty at night gave me worst possible room the following moning another person changed it. I will not stay here anymore as I used to use everytime I visit Rabat. This time poor experience.

Very neat and clean! and a good breakfast.

Neat and tidy and close to everything that you need for a couple of days in Rabat

There were many restaurants right around the area, and the medina was incredibly close and convenient to reach. We walked most of the time here.

Everything was good include the breakfast and staff service, the only thing I can mention is that they don’t have enough towels in room.

No dedicated parking but very limited few street spots!

Nice

Highly recommend it when visiting Rabat!!!!

I got the room facing the back of the building and it is very quite compared to the front of the building which has some street noise in the morning during business hours.

Truly enjoyed the experience to the point of extending my stay in this hotel. I would like to extend my thanks to the staff, all of whom have been professional, courteous, and friendly. I’ll not only stay here again next time I visit Morocco, but also recommend it. Thanks, David

Great location in the center of Rabat and close to everything. Staff friendly and helpful.

.

I had a very nice two night stay in this hotel. It is clean and well kept. Amenities are minimal which is fine. No pool. No gym. No fridge in the room. There is a hair dryer in the room. No safe in the room itself but you can have one on request. It’s in a really nice area. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable. I would say that if you have a lot of food intolerances like me, it may be hard to find stuff to eat other than fruit. Safe area to walk around. There is a shop to buy snacks and water right next door and a pharmacy if needed. Also many tourist attractions within walking distance (8-15min). It was a great stay. No complaints. I will say that so far, I’m all my stats, you can hear the call to prayer so no room in Morocco seems to be soundproof enough for that.

Not a hotel I would stay at again or recommend to anyone. I had a terrible experience with my room and reception.

I enjoyed the stay nice and clean and the rooms have new fixtures

Love it

The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful - everyone, front desk, doormen, housekeeping and even maintenance helped repair a broken bag. Room was clean and breakfasts were healthy and delicious. You WILL hear call to prayer 5 times a day from the best voice in town.

Nice

Having a car & bags made easier with parking at the front door

I highly recommend it as all the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and have a good view on a huge garden. Basic breakfast but delicious. The hotel is near the tramway station and the old market.

The room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly. The hotel is central, it is a 5 minute walk to the Medina. There is a little supermarket next-door, ATM's in the next road and a variety of restaurants. Although the hotel offers a to purchase coffee service for after hours, there is a lovely coffee shop 3 doors down and they make lovely crepes.

excellent friendly hotel.... close to transportation, touring sites, cafes, shops ... etc

Onomo give you comfort and a friendly staff. Rooms are clean and it’s location near Rabat Villa Station gives you the opportunity to explore Morocco by train.

Smells very bad and services are very poor

The staff were really friendly and the hotel was super clean. The staff spoke multiple languages which was helpful and though the breakfast was limited it was fresh and tasty

Outstanding staff. Spotlessly clean hotel.

Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. The hotel's location couldn't be better.

The hotel is located on the nice place near of the the downtown but the room is too small and also the tv , the remote controle doesn't work , the service is too bad , the wifi is too slow , the smells is not good then we changed the room the same things

It’s acceptable hotel

We are arrive at 4:30 PM room is not ready dirty floor dirty shower dirty bed room he wasn’t ready and they checked us in we left for dinner we came back no AC reported one guy come check it out but he didn’t do nothing that’s the way We spend the night sweating very very hard without AC I’m very disappointed I will never never stay in this hotel oh recommend it to nobody very terrible hotel

The hotel was very nice and in a good location. A disadvantage of being in the city centre is the high noise level. The staff at the hotel were great and honest. The only hotel in Morocco that told me about the city tax accurately. One bad thing in the room was the bed; it made noise with every little movement.

Nice hotel in a good location with a friendly staff.

Location convenient and area safe. hotel is recently renovated, furniture etc is new and room is clean. but the room is very very small (like tokyo hotel). don't get misled by the picture, there's no balcony outside the room, only a small window.

A pretty decent stay - close to the Médina and train station which made fo some good walking and cafe time.

Had a very good stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Faris and the reception staff at the desk were extremely helpful friendly. Would stay again . And recommend to my friends and work colleagues excellent place. Nice quiet clean bath very comfortable beds and location not far from the station 5-8 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We stayed here for 1 night as part of our tour. We thought the hotel was very nice, it is a newer and the room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in Room 707 and had a nice view overlooking the streets below us. It was great to hear the Call to Prayer from the window as the mosque is quite close to the hotel. Bathroom and bed were of satisfactory standard and very clean. The shower was nice and hot and had good pressure. The hotel is located in a very nice position, close to many shops, coffee places and restaurants. We had breakfast included in our stay and was nice and had a good variety of choice. The coffee was nice and hot. The breakfast is good and clean looking out on the street. The WIFI had good reception and the Air Con was good. Would recommend staying here if visiting Rabat.

Great location only a 5/10minute walk from train station. Staff were friendly. We had a great house keeper! Room were small but good :) They held onto our luggage when we went to the near by post office the day we checked out. The front desk receptionist even found us a box! We didnt care for the breakfast but there was a huge selection. We found a restaurant down the street that sold breakfast. There is also great cafe called art cafe near by with great food. Prefect for dinner when you want to be close to the hotel I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The carpet was a congealed mess and there was no shampoo or soap and the TV did not work and breakfast was not included. The staff was pleasant.

Good location, great staff

Booked just for 1 night for a family of 4. Check in was straight forward and efficient and the receptionist was very helpful when I asked about local places of interest. The room was large with a modern decor. The bathroom was in excellent condition with a great shower. There was a massive king size bed, sofa bed which slept 2 and a single bed. All very comfortable. The location is great with the souk a 5 min walk and the train station also a 5 min walk in the other direction. There is a tram stop next to the cathedral a 10 min walk. Plenty of shops and cafes on your doorstep, a large park and a Mosque are immediately across the road. Breakfast was 12 euros each, a bit expensive for a buffet but there are plenty of cafes in the area offering breakfast for 30dh per person.

The receptionist Mr. Youness was very polite and extremely helpful. He is an amazing receptionist.

It was only for a short stay but checking in is easy, parking right in front, and good location.

The rooms are really smaller than pics. Basically you cant move in the room. They are as small as some hotel rooms in London, but it does not show from pics. The airconditioning is really bad. Basically does not work as it should. We changed 3 rooms and then gave up.

Excellent location. Heating didn't work properly in the room.

Clean, modern rooms and bathrooms centrally located. A short walking distance from Rabat Ville station and around the corner from the theater. There’s the usually city noise, but the interior was quiet. Good WiFi.

Comfortable stay, location is good. Easy to go to other places. There are two ONOMO in Rabat. The one we stayed was near the Médina but not the train station.

Very good rapport price/quality, excellent receptionist, thanks

Well located for a conference we were attending right across the street. Also convenient to the garden and Medina for shopping as well as great little restaurants. Staff is wonderful and tries to accommodate. Rooms are spacious and have sound proof windows - never heard the traffic. You need to be prepared for: No heat in the rooms (we were here in November; quite uncomfortable) Breakfast is the only food from 7-11am. No tea or snacks or anything during the day...not even water - but there is a bodega type shop open quite late next door. Refrigerator in the room; no hot pot for water. Internet is exceedingly slow. So, you are in a beautiful city in Africa with wonderful people. Do your homework and come with a little extra supplies. Beware the taxis - they really don't always know the city even if you speak French. Have the doorman instruct your driver until you know your way. Go to Rabat - decide how much comfort you need. We are two seniors - the cold at night was difficult, but the warmth of the staff went a long way to recovering. ProfSusan, who travels a lot

Good value modern hotel centrally located, not far from the Medina. Good buffet breakfast, functional rooms

We had 7 rooms. Two of the women put their luggage in the room and went to dinner, but the electronic door was malfunctioning. They could not get in their room (after having spent the previous night on an airplane from the USA). They had to go stay elsewhere without access to their belongings and retrieve them the next day. The worst is this: the hotel REFUSED TO REFUND THE COST OF THE ROOM.

Good location close to the train station. There is a cheap Cafe next door for coffee & breakfast (otherwise the hotel does offer breakfast for 75 DH). The City tax was 53 DH for two nights. There is a snack shop and laundromat in a short strip mall immediately to the left of the main entrance. Our room faced north and overlooked the mosque, park, and a main street......the windows had excellent insulation from road noise (although traffic is light after 11 pm). It was interesting hearing the call to prayer from the mosque in the evening.

+ Clean + Helpful staff, and most of them spoke English. + Good wi-fi + Good location to the centre of town. + Room was cleaned daily. - Breakfast was average. - No water or fridge in the room. - Single room was rather small. - If in a single room, the interconneting door to a double room was not soundproofed.

property was clean and well managed. no ice available in the hotel

Very friendly staff, great location, clean rooms.

The breakfast was terrible, some items were old (eggs, cake and harsha).the orange juice was not fresh (sour). is not recommended at all ..!!!!!

Sub par hotel close to center of rabat. Room is s bit smelly.

Typical budget hotel. average room size for its category, but very clean. Included breakfast is basic. Its 10 minute walk from the Train Station, close to the old Medina and many restaurants in walking distance. Staff is very helpful, and they allowed me to keep my luggage till evening after my checkout. They also arranged a taxi service for me to airport for a reasonable charge.

Great hotel. Very clean. The best mid range hotel in Rabat. Good location. Breakfast could be better

I am glad I choosed this hotel, I reserved 5 rooms for my family for 6 nights , staff are very friendly, attentive, hard working, Thank you Mr Tarek assistant Manager for taken care of our needs, thank you Kawtar always smiling, thank you Mr. Abdelallh securty for keeping an eye on my brother's car, thank you Mr abdelhamid, Othman, Soufian, Jawad for your excellent food service. On my next trip to Rabat I will defintely stay at Onomo medina again.

All was good, staff, location, cleanness, price.

Clean, good position, excellent staff, friendly and welcoming.

We are in a tropical tour. This has been the best hotel of the trip. Good clean decent sized rooms. Great breakfast and all within a walking distance to a fabulous restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

Good breakfast, comfortable room, well located and clean. The internet was not so good in the 6th floor, one night it stopped working and no solution till the next day.

It was centrally locates and clean. The staff was friendly.

Location is good but the property is an average one. The bathroom were bad. Sink has a s slow drain. Shower is not fully covered so water splashes everywhere with water everywhere. Made it difficult to use the sink and the mirror.

Perfectly situated in Rabat. Staff helpful. A great venue if you're on the move

Great hotel - no problems whatsoever. Western style so nothing 'Moroccan' in particular, except the breakfast choices, which were ok, though a little simple considering the price. Felt safe and location is good.

Stopped over to go rabat airport Hotel in good location Train 🚞 station close by,plenty restaurants aroud hotel

Terrible location and room. Bathroom was not at all good.

Friendly staff, very helpful and able to answer all my questions in English. Very comfortable room and bed!

Clean and well designed rooms but a little noisy. Location is also good.

Great location. AC not working. Hot and very very loud with call to prayers all night.

Great location in the heart of the city. Staff very helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was good.

Excellent hotel and very good service. The bedrooms were very clean and staff were very friendly.

This hotel is in a Good location close to the old Medina. Parking is always made available by attendant so is easy even though it's street parking. WiFi wasn't very reliable, Breakfast is nothing special though. Room is comfortable though small Smell of sewage in the bathroom in the morning Facing the street but great double insulated windows Over all good place to spend a couple of nights.

Hotel was centrally located, very clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean and served well for a one night stop. The double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Functional but you could really only sleep on the sides as the middle part was uncomfortable. The buffet for dinner was very bland and staff offered no service. We found our own seats and found some basic food. There were no drinks offered, nor any indication we could buy any. The terrace where it was proved to be nice location for local views with a nice sunset then sunrise the next morning. Breakfast was also bland, but much better than the evening buffet. Our first time to Rabat and left the next morning so maybe the location is a selling point. There could be better options but was ok for a short stop.

Another great stay at the Onomo. The three-person accommodation is quite spacious and comfortable. There are English TV/movie channels for your enjoyment. Great location - easy access from the station and to the medina. The breakfast is fine - good beverage choices and scrambled eggs, but some of the pastries were a bit hard/stale? Front desk printed our documents for us. Will return / recommended.

Great hotel, location was perfect walking distance to all the main attraction. Some what quiet, room was modern. I would consider this hotel brand again!

Very clean and well kept hotel in a good location. Professional and well trained staff. Unfortunately the room was just too small. If travel with some luggage, it would be uncomfortable.
