My wife and I were returning for our 5th visit to the hotel. In our opinion it is a three star budget hotel offering excellent value for money and in a quiet location with great views and friendly staff.

Some of the sun beds and umbrellas are looking a bit tired but we were visiting at the end of the season so there was bound to be some wear and tear.

The staff were absolutely amazing. The breakfast was good. It was centrally located to the waterfront of Lixouri.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was only a sheet to cover yourself. The hotel, in general, needs some TLC, a bit of painting. Our unit had problems with the light switches and had to be switched on and off at the DB board.

1) Μυρωδιές από το λούκι του μπάνιου 2) Το air-condition έκανε πολύ ώρα να κρυώσει το δωμάτιο 3) Ανεπαρκείς έλεγχος. Λυπαμε από το πρωί και βρήκαμε την πόρτα του δωματίου μας ορθανοιχτη λόγω ελαττωματικό μηχανισμού κλειδαριάς με αποτέλεσμα να ταραχτει η σύζυγος πάρα πολύ και να περάσουμε το υπόλοιπο των διακοπών με συνεχή φόβο αν θα ξαναγίνει 4) Οι τοίχοι όλοι βρώμικοι με λεκέδες όπως και του μπάνιου 5) Το πάτωμα της βεραντας όλο λεκεδες 6) Παλιός εξοπλισμός με αποτέλεσμα καποιοα έπιπλα είχαν πρόβλημα όπως το ντουλάπι του ψυγείου με τους μεντεσεδες

Άξιζε τα λεφτά που έδωσα κοντα στο λιμάνι 500 μέτρα καλή πισίνα και για το παιδί καλό μπαρ χαμόγελο απο όλους ήταν τέλεια θα ξαναπάω σίγουρα στο ίδιο ξενοδοχείο

The location was amazing short walk down into Lixouri, but an uphill wander back. Beautiful views

The property is dated, tired and dirty with limited facilities. We don’t have tea and coffee in the room as stated, our bathroom was dirty and not cleaned very well. The pool area is dirty and tired with broken beds and umbrellas

Location was good as it was in walking distance from Lixouri square and port. Swimming pool was nice as well.

Unfortunately a lot of things need to be changed! Breakfast was every day the same and limited options. Basic amenities like shampoo was not renewed and you had to ask on daily basis. In general accommodation needs a renovation or at least attention to details to provide a better experience for the customer.

Vam trobar pèls al lavabo que no eren nostres, i dues taques a la tovallola de la dutxa. La piscina tanca a les ¡¡7 de la tarda!!, en ple sol, és estranyíssim.

Nagyon kedves személyzet. Pár perc séta a belváros.

Kicsit retró, egy kis felújítás ráférne a szállodára de akkor gondolom nem ennyi lenne az ára.

The staff is very helpful and welcoming, even with my very late evening check in. I appreciated their warm greetings. The location was not ideal for my short stay, but it was clean - a few things needed repair (door frame and bathroom shower doors were extremely hard to open and shut), but it was mostly clean (the shower floor was questionable) and quiet. Breakfast was nice and I was thankful for easy & close parking. The address on Hotels.com is wrong, I got lost getting there. Take the address from their website.

Frühstück wenig Auswahl an Wurst, Käse und Kuchen, immer das gleiche. Brot nicht frisch und unförmig geschnitten. Auf verlangen kein Kakao. Kaffee könnte besser sein. Sehr ruhige Lage und alles sehr sauber.

This was our third year at Palatino so we knew what to expect which is excellent value for money with a clean and comfortable room and great staff.

The pool went a bit murky during the last few days of our stay which made us a little reluctant to go in.

We really like the location of the palatino , it sits on a small hill and we always go for sea view rooms , which are exactly that a brilliant view, the staff at the hotel work really hard and are lovely people , pool is a lovely size and fairly well maintained .

This is our third year staying at palatino and unfortunately our last (for now at least ) it has run in to a state of disrepair! so many things were breaking whilst we were there , for instance the fridge at the pool bar broke down at the end of last season and was still sat there broken , as a result you were not always guaranteed cold drinks , the bottled water was warm 😒the sun bed cushions that were new last year were absolutely disgusting , I would only sit on them with a towel on them , breakfast is very very poor , very limited choice and the only fruit was watermelon it really has gone downhill , chairs that you sit on at the bar and dining room are falling apart and again the chairs at the pool bar are filthy , in the 5 days that we stayed there we didn’t see the bar or pool area washed down at all , lots of dirty stains all over the place , I could go on forever and it really is a shame as it could be a brilliant hotel , the only saving grace are the staff , very warm friendly people who work so hard to keep this place going .

Var en uke der pga ferie/bryllup, veldig fornøyd med personalet og senga var veldig myk! Eneste minus, at de var veldig streng angående basseng. Veldig kort åpningstid (stengte kl 19) selvom det fortsatt var 30 grader varmt.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very good with a big variety. The beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean, the pool was very clean.

We had some very noisy people who kept us awake at night. But the hotel along with the rep removed them from the hotel so the situation was dealt with appropriately.

Early check in was appreciated. Sea view was ok.

Room, and hotel, a little tired. Telephone wiring hanging all over the place. Shower very fiddly. Had to ask for a kettle. Nothing provided by way of water etc.

Primeiramente, o hotel deveria explicar para todo hóspede, durante a reserva, como fazer para chegar lá. Eu cheguei a Lefkada de ferry no Porto de Sami e fui de carro para o hotel, pela única estrada terrível que existe atualmente, e que me desanimou ter escolhido conhecer a ilha de Lefkada. Qdo cheguei no hotel, perguntei na recepção sobre a estrada que dá acesso ao hotel e então que me foi explicado que a maneira mais fácil de ir para o hotel é pegando o ferry em Argostoli para Lixouri. Esta informação é primordial!! Tudo fica fácil e agradável! O hotel fica a 2” de carro do Porto de Lixouri e 10” a pé e tem barca a cada 30’ durante todo o dia e a cada hora a partir das 19:00h. O café da manhã é farto mas preparado sem zelo algum: talheres manchados, dando a impressão de mal lavados; garfos tortos, xícaras com sujeiras, moscas e gatos no local, alguns ovos mal cozidos com gema e clara ainda líquidas….aparência feia. O local de tomar banho, o box, é mínimo e muito desconfortável até para uma pessoa magra. Durante o banho, esbarra-se muitas vezes no registro da água mudando a temperatura da água o que é extremamente desagradável. Para evitar esbarrar no registro da água, é necessário encostar na parede do box que é suja e mofada. O Wi-Fi é muito instável e desconecta frequentemente. O único local que o Wi-Fi pega bem é no lobby e no local do café da manhã. O hotel tem piscina mas não disponibiliza toalhas para piscina. O hóspede precisa ter sua própria toalha de piscina.

We always stay here when we need a hotel in Lixouri, the pool is big in a beautiful open scenic setting and all the staff and cleaners are super friendly. The location is great close to the local beach and town centre square. We like to have 2 pillows each as there was one each in the room so we asked for extra and got them with no quibble. Great air conditioning which cooled the room quickly and brilliantly well in the heat!

No complaints and really good value for money paid. .

It was exactly what we needed : a hotel with all the basic comforts, good breakfast and swimming pool in a large garden with nothing pretentious or fanciful. Having a five year old daughter, we particularly liked the children's pool as well as the presence of a lifeguard. We will definitely come back if in Lixouri!

The beds , after a long day of travel, you need a good bed , this is missing in the facility The hotel was really full and the breakfast was hardly enough for everyone , especially the coffee was running out fast.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour d'une semaine dans cet hôtel qui est à la hauteur de ses 2 étoiles. Environnement calme et très pratique d'accès à seulement 10 mn à pied du ferry, des commerces et des restaurants du centre de Lixouri. Personnel sympathique et serviable. Petit dejeuner complet mais qui demandrait plus de diversités pour les sejours longs. Très jolie piscine bien aménagée avec beaucoup de transats à l'ombre si vous craignez le soleil et la chaleur. Excellente musique autour de l'espace Bar qui propose aussi snacking à prix modéré. Idéal pour quelques heures de farniente. Bref, nous vous recommandons l'adresse sans hésiter que vous soyez célibataire, en couple avec ou sans enfants.

The hotel was nice it is well located and my room had a sea view.

The room was damp with a very bad smell, from the minute I entered the smell of ugly old dump was in the room. I reported to reception who she can to the room but didn’t seem to understand what damp means. The smell was distinctive and obvious but she still didn’t seem to grasp what it was. she offered to put some cleaning products in the toilet to musk the smell but that made it worse. I was offered be moved to a different room and still it smelled damp. It seemed to me that all the rooms have the same problem and the management team has no solution to my problem especially when the receptionist started say that all hotels on the island smell damp. Luckily a friend of ours who was on the island had a villa and we stayed in his spare bedroom. My advice to you, if you suffer from asthma or sensitive to damp smells please stay away from this hotel.

Limited choice at breakfast and mostly the same items every day made breakfast hard work. A few extra hot choices would make it so much better. Additional outdoor seating would be a huge advantage. There also always seemed to be always items running out and no fresh whole fruits. The self service at the pool was tiresome. No-one on holiday wants to return their plates and cups to the bar. The sunbeds are fixed in one position so are not suitable for all especially anyone who has any disability. The shower cubicle in the room was very small but we managed.

Location easy access to Lixouri

Staff were super, athena on reception was super, staff at the pool bar were lovely. Really enjoyed the music for the wedding party.

Sun loungers round the pool were not in good state, rather worn. Web site said there was a free shuttle to.lepedo beach, this was not the case.

Breakfast was a bit unorganised as people didn't queue just pushing in. Food was really good though.

The breakfast was lacking fresh fruit. Every day the same variety. Only fruit water melon which was always warm. The grounds and pool are very good but too far a walk to restaurants and beach for anyone older. The cleaners did a good job.

As above Plus very small bathroom with very basic amenities. Reported broken shower head but this was never repaired. It really needs to be stressed that a car is needed to stay at this location.

Pool area ok however not enough sun beds

The location was totally unsuitable for us as my wife has mobility issues. The hotel was located on top of a very steep hill which meant a very difficult walk up and down from town and especially at night as the streets are also unlit. The maisonette room we had was really dated and the curtains fell off the wall. There was nowhere to sit only at a dinning table. The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The noise from the family next door was very loud with shouting and banging, not the families fault just really poor insulation and sound proofing. The breakfast was very basic with the dinning room being very small and narrow people were bumping into each other trying to get food and finding it very awkward. We had booked and paid for 7 nights. After the first night we realised we could not stay any longer. We arranged with the receptionist that we would pay for are first night and receive a refund for the remaining 6 nights. With this agreed with the receptionist and booking.com we moved and paid for another hotel within Lixouri. Imagine our disgust and disbelief when the very next day we received an email telling us the hotel manager had overruled the receptionist and refused our refund!! It has taken us many weeks of arguments with the manager as well a numerous attempts by booking.com to get a refund which was agreed with his receptionist. The only refund we have received is 75euro as a gesture......this is totally unacceptable. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL it is truly awaful. We would say this is the worst experience we have ever had on holiday !

There was an American women who must stay there every summer who repeatedly start conversations about her views which were offensive to anyone who would listen, she also screamed at a child in the pool. None of this was challenged. Breakfast was good but a little repetitive. Shower in the room needs replacing

Friendly staff

The palatino hotel is really lovely , it’s in an absolutely fantastic location , just minutes from the town square , harbour and beaches , get a sea view room and your view is constantly changing ( watching ferries and cruise ships etc ) Really don’t understand why people criticise the breakfast , it’s great , it’s everything you need and constantly replenished , pool and pool bar are also wonderful , so good in fact that you don’t really want to go anywhere else ! Snacks are really good at the bar and affordable and there’s a cocktail hour (lasts for 2 hours ) Plenty of lovely bars and restaurants within minutes walk from the hotel , we were very sad to leave ☹️

Large groups of people who were very loud and boisterous in the pool at times ( but don’t know how this can be avoided) they did have a lifeguard at certain tines but as soon as he left it went back to chaos in the pool once more ( did spoil things a little )

We chose this hotel because we didn't rent a car, so we needed a hotel that was accessible by public transport from the airport. It is possible to get a local bus from the airport to Argostoli, and then take the 20 minute ferry from Argostoli to Lixouri (3 EUR). From where the ferry docks, it is a 10 minute walk (slightly uphill) to the hotel. It met all our expectations. The room itself was well equipped and the air-conditioning worked well. The pool had plenty of sunbeds and was never too busy. There is a pool bar where you can order food and drinks, including a happy hour from 16:30 to 18:30. Breakfast consisted of bread, meats, cheese, eggs, baked beans, frankfurter sausages, pastries (changed each day), yoghurt, cereal, salad items and fresh watermelon everyday. There was also a variety of juices, coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help answer questions. The room was cleaned each day. Overall, a nice hotel which is good value for money!

The water pressure of the shower could be better (we were on the 1st floor). Wifi was slow in the room.

Not very big hotel, nice and friendly. 5 minutes walk to the city. The swimming pool is appropriate for the size of the hotel with warm water and pool bar. Hotel clean, staff friendly. Room are clean, there's a fridge, a cattle, cups, and glasses. Tasty breakfasts, local products. All positive.
