Zen Hideaway@Jeju

Clean room, superb view

It’s a beautiful place . With great rooms , it’s but far away from Jeju airport but

This is a gem of a hotel. We particularly liked the restaurant food and ambience. As a vegetarian, I had been having a difficult time in Japan and S Korea. However, the food for both me and my omnivorous wife was first class. Accompanied by the best view you hope to find. I would recommend to others

The room is beautiful. Seemed like only one of the staff spoke English. They are very strict about the restaurant hours and the breakfast is only one hour long 9 to 10 AM which is a bit strange

This is our 2nd visit as we like our last stay here 2 years ago.. excellent in every way - staff, room, breakfast, dinner and scenery!

Excellent service. Truly unmatched views and experience at Zen Hideaway. Will be returning if given the chance!

Amazing place. We loved everything, the room was gorgeous, the whole place is wonderful. Great staff, always helpful. We would have stayed to live there 😋

Great stay

Super hôtel. Un peu déçue du petit déjeuner...

A great experience with hospitable hosts and beautiful scenery. However, you need to request housekeeping otherwise they don’t do it

Nicccccvce

Great view, very quiet

Very nice hotel but the staff work at odd hours. There is no one at the checkin counter (in fact it’s blocked off with a barrier) outside of the times of 3:30 to 8:30pm. You can ask for help at the restaurant upstairs but they don’t open until 9am. To check out we just left our keys in our room because there was no staff in the hotel when we left at 8am. Breakfast hours are 9-10am only, which delays the start to your day, and you can’t choose your food (only choice is between Korean and Western, what those include is a mystery). The food is ok but the menu is the same everyday. The hotel food from their restaurant (lunch and dinner) is good and has a wide selection. The view is beautiful. If you want room service, you can call them and place an order but you have to pick it up from the restaurant yourself and carry it through the parking lot. Worth the effort though.

Super beautiful hotel overlooking water and beach. Nice view of volcanic mountain. Wonderful breakfast and nice downstairs coffeehouse with baked goods. Staff was very friendly.

Much better than imagined!

Comfortable hotel!

Definitely a hidden gem. Beautiful hotel by the waterfront and nice design. Highly recommended if you are looking for a zen stay!

Hard to describe how great our stay was. Everything was perfect. I wish I had booked for longer and we are determined to come back. Thanks for everything!

Inklusive Taxiservice. Vielen Dank dafür.

Hotel with perfect ocean view I like the style of the interior design

The property not been maintained properly - perhaps during Covid period. The bathrooms look a little old and rundown.. The safe boxes in the bedrooms don't work (remember they only have 10 rooms, and yet they cannot even replace them), they don't even have teaspoons in the rooms to stir the coffee. No sugar nor creamer given in the rooms. Essentially pretty run down state. I even had a manager ask me if I wanted our room cleaned! The first time ever..

We were back to our favourite hotel in Jeju last week, but it was a let down. Somehow between our first visit in 2017 and November 2024, the hotel has run down a lot, perhaps during/because of Covid? But you can see signs of lack of care & maintenance to the property, like the bathrooms shower heads, the rust certain parts of the items placed, etc. I had a distinct feeling that the original owner might have sold the property to another owner. Where the reception was, is now an architectural firm (the original owner is an architect) and the hotel check-in area has moved to the restaurant, with no proper check-in area. The Manager on Duty (on 12 November) tried to refuse to issue us a 2nd door access card, and when I insisted saying we have 2 cars, he relented, but I realised that they have only programmed 2 key cards per room. Generally, these key cards are inexpensive and part of business costs. So, I assume this is the cost cutting effort of the hotel. There are 2 "Managers" and depending on who you meet, your experience at the hotel may be different. I had a smaller built manager who had very limited English who asked me on the 2nd day, IF we wanted our rooms CLEANED!! That was a shocker! The option was "Have your room cleaned or just have new towels & water replaced" I thought, perhaps we could live with "Just towels & water replaced" option, given that we were only there couple of hours the evening before But to my surprise - the fresh towels & water bottles where placed in a plastic box, left at the door front and the room was not even tidied up, waste baskets were not even emptied! This is taking "refresh" room a tad too far. The other nicer manager (taller chap) however asked what time are they able to enter the room to clean, which is far more acceptable that the other manager. Western breakfast option seems more substantial than before, but like the other reviewer's sentiment, the items on the tray are at best tepidly warm The property still has the best location, but it is unfortunate that the property has not been maintained properly. Not sure if we would still return.

Book it, you won’t regret. We are discerning yet we were quite impressed with all aspects of our stay.

Wonderful place, with a great view on the sea. Very quiet and relaxing. Client service could be largely improve, with a staff understanding English and able to say Yes to little request. American breakfast need to be change from one day to another. Service and rules are very strict and too rigid.

Some repairs

Amazing service and the view was breathtaking! Worth booking! Recommend 10/10

Amazing property on the water. The kindest staff and beautiful rooms to top it off! Would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a beautiful property with an amazing view. The only thing that wasnt great was the fact that the front desk is only open during the day. We had to checkout early but there were no instructions on how to do so if front desk isnt open. Was a bit of a hassle to figure out, so perhaps if they can have that information somewhere, it would be better. Otherwise excellent hotel, would definitely stay again.

everything amazing but the breakfast very repetitive, after 2 days it’s boring

It was everything I needed in a hideaway. The quiet beauty of the location next to the beach and the thoughtful design of the rooms and reception dining lounge area was perfect.

It’s just stunning. The place is a designer paradise. Every minute there is perfect.

The hotel is super nice, the room was big and was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. If I could suggest a couple of things to improve, it was not possible to have a beer/ glass of wine in the restaurant area. We wanted to enjoy the view during the evening, before heading to another restaurant and it was not possible Also, the breakfast options were limited with only american or korean menu, with no sweet options and only coffee or tea for drink. no milk chocolate was possible.

Amazing views and very relaxing atmosphere!!

Staffs are helpful and friendly. Nice view from the room and restaurant.

One of best places I‘ve ever stayed. Highly recommend . Perfect location, facility and staffs as well !

Very nice hotel in a great location close to the sea. The rooms a nice and clean. A highlight is the jacuzzi inside of the room. The breakfast is somehow unusual. Instead of a classical buffet you need to choose between a korean and an american/englisch breakfast on the day before. The breakfast itself is very delicious but it is served exactly the same each day. Some variations would be nice. However can greatly recommend!

Zen Hideaway is a gem Highly recomended

Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a 5-night stay at Zen Hideaway and it was a wonderful experience. From the easy check-in (and check out process) to the impeccable service staff to the room with amazing view - we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you also for the champagne and cake for our anniversary. This isn’t our first trip to Jeju but this one’s the best so far!

Great location with amazing views, near Yeongmeori coast, very good breakfast provided, good seafood restaurant at doorstep, EV chargers available on site, well decorated rooms and overall good vibes

Lovely beach side property that has a great sense of design and space. Enjoyed heariung the waves and the large soak bath. Good quality bed. The hotel is in an interesting small town with lots of food options.

Nice View

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The place has an amazing view and it was clean, well-furnished and aesthetically pleasing. Location wise, it is close to quite a number of restaurants, convenience stores and attractions if you’re driving. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like to wake up to the sound of the ocean and be able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset at the comfort of your own home.

Understated elegance. The owner put a lot of thought when constructing the property. The setting is breathtaking! The staff was warm and accommodating. I wish I had more time to explore the property. Will surely come back and recommend!

Fabulous property on the sea front in the lovely village of Seogwipo (SW Jeju). Stayed here 4 night in ground floor room with access to own patio and the pool terrace Room was a v comfortable suite with lounge area , fridge and large bed. Access to excellent restaurant serving wide range of cuisine. Had excellent mussels , pizza pasta Only disappointment was the beautifully presented American breakfast was served tepid Highly recommend this property for its amenities location and staff

My favourite hotel on Jeju! I love everything about Zen Hideaway. Thos stay however I would say the room felt in need of a little attention. This is unusual. My sink had a crack, a hook was falling off the wall and the side floor was loose. Enjoy the view, the bath and the breakfasts. I do wish breakfast could be later than 9am. It’s so early!
