Clean, great location if travelling by car. Staff friendly and food was fabulous.

You had to book in for an hour for the pool which was not ideal. Our brothers wedding meal was not available until 5pm so all guests had to find something to do for 2 hours. Our meal on first night very bland no seasoning fortunatley wedding meal better. When returned just about 11pm found bar all closed so no drinks available? Another guest showed us how to get into reception using keycard? Not very helpful really

Exceptionally clean room. Maid service every day. High standard carried throughout hotel. Modern, contemporary and well thought out interior throughout hotel Sea view and walks. Peaceful and comfortable. Menu has a varied choice, more than enough to keep us interested for our two night stay. We were looking for an alternative to Auchrannie, too expensive now, and we have found it here in Kinloch😊👍

A small fridge would be useful especially for cold drinks during summer.

Unfortunately for us and the hotel, the hot water system was not working for first evening and morning. Fixed for the 2nd night.

Everything about the stay. My room, the restaurant, the public bar. All were great.

1 girl working at the public bar seemed very grumpy and unhappy when serving and never once said please or thank you to me.

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff and enjoyed the experience immensely. Food excellent, both the breakfast and the evening meal. Blackwaterfoot is a lovely place and the scenery is second to none. Would also thoroughly recommend to golfers, the twelve hole course at Shiskine is up there with the very best.

Sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeitende. Die Lage direkt am Meer war super - perfekt um am morgen einen Sprung ins Meer zu wagen. Wer mit dem Auto anreist, findet ausreichen Parkplätze, die nicht kostenpflichtig sind.

Ich reise in der Hochsaison an, das war mir sehr bewusst. Ich reiste alleine aber das Zimmer war zwar sauber aber sehr klein und mit einem Einzelbett ausgestattet. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Preis-Leistung war für mich nicht erfüllt, ich hatte mir aufgrund der Bilder mehr erwartet.

We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is great with stunning sea views across to the Argyll coast. The food in the restaurant was tasty, we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

A minor issue - due to the sunny and hot weather - the bedroom was really warm and made it difficult to get to sleep.

The location is stunning and the views from the lounges, restaurant and most bedrooms over to the Mull of Kintyre are amazing.

The rooms were very hot and it was difficult to sleep but it was exceptionally hot weather. Was also disappointed that if I had booked the hotel direct it would have included breakfast but with Booking.com it didn’t.

All round brilliant stay….friendly knowledgeable staff, excellent location, relaxed atmosphere! The otter in the river next to the car park, plus the weather was an added bonus! Thank you all!

Room was a little hot… but hey ho, it was an exceptionally hot period. A fan in the room would have made it a little less uncomfortable! Maybe they are available on request, but didn’t detract from an all round brilliant stay

The location is amazing the dining room is outstanding however the breakfast was luke warm as it was kept warm by electric heater lights There was also no vegetarian sausages or bacon for us veggies which I thought was quite strange for a hotel of that scale

The food defiantly needs to be hotter and there should be a choice for vegetarians

The hotel was absolutely spotless. I had a single room and expected a small shower but was pleasantly surprised by a lovely bathroom with full-size bath and shower. I was very impressed. We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

The only minus point was the night we used the sauna. The changing room was way too hot. It’s a common problem with changing rooms all over.

The position is next to a golf course two small shops and a car garage. Long beach walks. Quite , its position is in a cul-de-sac, Staff very friendly. Nice swimming pool. Good food and service.

The shower room was very small and tight. Door was nearly hitting the wash-hand basin . The shower however was a good size.

Lovely staff, really good evening meal and a fine breakfast. Would go back with my family. Sauna and pool were great.

Very clean and rooms/bathrooms seemed recently renovated. For a single room, it was exactly what I needed. The views from downstairs were also very nice.

In the summer, having access to the pools/sauna a little bit later would be really nice. I didn’t have a car so making it back to the property after hiking by bus usually meant the pool and sauna were already closed.

Location. Friendly helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Plenty places to sit and enjoy the view.

Unfriendly, noisy locals in the bar blocking doors and route in and out although the area was not busy. We were travelling with a friend who has a disability. They made it difficult for him to move through the bar. It was not a comfortable situation. It is a shame as everything else was fantastic.

Breakfast choices limited

The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and a good sea view. The ensuite facilities very very good.

As Kinloch Hotel is quite remote, we chose to eat in the restaurant on the first evening. Prior to going down for dinner, we reviewed the restaurant menu online and were pleasantly surprized by the array of meals on offer. However, when we were given the evening menu, the choices were considerably less. When we compared the two Evening menus, the menu on the hotel website had 16 Main Dishes and 5 burgers whereas the Evening menu (excluding the specials) we were offered in the restaurant had only 10 main dishes and 3 burgers on offer. We sent an e mail to the hotel as soon as we arrived back in our room, but to date, I have not received a reply. Consequently, we eat out in Lamlash and Brodick for the remaining two nights of our stay. In the morning, we also found the breakfast was below our expectations. Guests are not free to help themselves to the cooked breakfast, they are served by one of the waiting staff. The eggs were so overcooked they were very disappointing. Having complained via e mail and having no response, we noted that we were asked every morning at breakfast whether we would be eating at the hotel that evening. The staff almost seemed awkward when asking us as if they had been warned to be on their guard against us.

From the minute I arrived I was made welcome and looked after. The room was perfect for my needs. The breakfast was fantastic. Waiting staff were always on hand but never intrusive. Cant wait to come back. Also the idyllic setting really added to the expereince.

Excellent location with beautiful view of the sea from our bedroom, the dining room and lounge areas. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed excellent evening meals and breakfast each day of our stay. Our bedroom was comfortable. It was wonderful to see seals on the rocks and lots of sea birds by taking a walk in front of the hotel. Wonderful sunsets too.

Lovely position next to the beach, lovely refurbishment/decoration. Great lounges, dining room and lovely to have a swimming pool. Fantastic spacious bedroom with a sea view! Very comfortable bed.

The shower in the swimming pool changing room would benefit from a curtain and water which runs more consistently, rather than going off immediately after you have let go of the button.

From the outside the hotel looks a little run down , but once inside it was really nicely appointed. Very nice lounges and bars with fabulous views. Very good dining room with good food choices. Staff were likeable and friendly and looked after the guests excellently

On the second night the large doors to the dining room were left open and it became quite drafty with cool air

Comfy room with plent of sockets for charging phones etc. and a view out over to Kintyre Perfect location for exploring Arran either by car or by bus. The pool and the sauna were small but were not busy, with a booking system to make sure that there was never a feeling of it being too crowded. There was a refreshing abscence of dogs in the dining room. On another occasion we would like to make use of the snooker table, table tennis and possibly even the squash court.

The weather could have been a bit better, but there was plenty to do in the hotel while waiting for it to change.

The staff were amazing warm friendly and informative. They helped to create a lovley atmosphere in the hotel. The view from our room was amazing. The pool facilities were great. Food was made in house fresh and to a good standard. Loved the decoratuon very modern but added to the comfortable atmosphere. All areas of the h9tel were very clean.

Could do with airing corridors or adding reed diffusers.

Really comfortable room and great breakfast with good veggie options. Staff were really nice and helpful. I stayed off season in Feb and at that time the price was really good. The rooms have great sea views and a good local shop a few yards away.
