Quinta de Seves

Excelente opção para quem prefere ficar fora da cidade, sem abrir mão da praticidade. A casa fica a cerca de 10 minutos de carro de Covilhã: o suficiente para ter sossego e, ao mesmo tempo, chegar rápido ao centro. O espaço é muito confortável, com cozinha bem equipada e um banheiro de qualidade. Oferece muita privacidade e um jardim lindo, que convida a ficar, ler, tomar um café no ar livre, entrar na piscina ou simplesmente desfrutar do silêncio. Recomendo.

La quinta es preciosa, los jardines, plantas y árboles que la rodean, la piscina es una maravilla. Nos alojamos en la villa de un dormitorio, con independencia total del complejo de la quinta, es una casita ideal con decoración y detalles muy bonitos.

Que no tiene aire acondicionado y nos pillo dos días de intenso calor. El ventilador era insuficiente por el día, por lo extraordinario del calor, pero dormimos bien.

Secluded, quiet spot adjacent to farmland and hills. Old building beautifully converted and modernised. Living area with wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water, comfortable bed. Owner is a friendly and helpful Portuguese lady who speaks English well.

Beautiful location and villa.

There were several issues with the villa. The toilets didn't always flush properly. Several of the appliances didn't work or were in bad shape. Most importantly there was a significant leak from the bathroom upstairs into the living room. When we told the owner, he implied that we caused the issues. He sent someone to take a look but ultimately just told us to deal with it or leave. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service.

La cocina es un poco pequeña para una familia grande.

Lugar ideal para descansar y desconectar. La finca es preciosa y la villa estaba muy bien y con todas las prestaciones. La piscina muy agradable. Sin duda, recomendable. Volveremos.

Secluded & beautiful, yet 10min drive from everything. Maria João, the host, was super kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, served outdoors.

Beautiful! The surrounding grounds were filled with beautiful flowers and gardens. Breakfast was amazing.

11/10. Family run and owned, Portuguese hospitality at its best. Everything was better than we had hoped for. Beautiful country house, quiet yet close to the main highway. Comfortable beds. We were the only guests staying that night and were given a room in a separate house, with a living room and kitchenette downstairs. We ate dinner there, and it was excellent, and more than enough. Everything we ate was fresh, homemade or purchased from a neighbor. Great bottle of wine from the family vineyard came with the dinner. We will definitely return (have to try that wild boar 😀)

First night we had kids next room that was hard to sleep

Beautiful quiet setting - spacious bedrooms The family owners went out of their way for us - so accommodating. We arrived late due to a car breakdown. Called from the side of the road and asked last minute if they could provide dinner for a very much later arrival than anticipated! A delicious, 4 course homemade meal with wine was ready when we arrived. Spectacular! If you’re in this area of Portugal, I’d recommend highly. Beautiful pool. Great breakfast included and you can place your order the night before.

This is a hidden relaxing gem among the bustle of travel. Everything from the location, Rośe upon arrival, decor, friendly hosts, pool & exceptional made-to-order breakfast was such a delight!

A beautifully restored farmhouse. The room was comfortable and modern, and the public areas were sumptuous and inviting. The breakfasts were very good with extensive options and ample plates. Be sure to ask for the made to order pancakes!! A short trip to town or the amazing cheese museum.

Not much not to like. It was hard to find restaurants that were open when we wanted to eat. It is a good place to relax.

We had the most wonderful time! Fantastic room, facilities, grounds around the property, and the hosts were lovely. Also, the breakfast was amazing - the hosts really went above and beyond to make everything fresh. We will be back the next time we're in the area.

Beautifully renovated farmhouse, such comfortable accommodation, lovely grounds, the most caring and welcoming hosts who made us feel so at home. The best Portuguese food! The elegance. Great location as there's so much to explore. I hope to return and will definitely recommend it to friends.

The staff (family members who own and run the place) was super friendly and accommodating. The place is a renovated farm house and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. Breakfast was made per our exact request. It was rich and tasty and was served courteously and elegantly. Each house has a few rooms as well as a living room with a fireplace. Super clean and very well maintained. Parking is nearby and free. Free wifi.

Beautiful home close to town and various day trips. Enjoyed their hospitality and delicious breakfasts!

The place has a magical atmosphere, made in an ancient farm completely renewed. The hosts manage to make you feel at home and you always have the feeling of being at your own place. Breakfast is outstanding with home made food.

It is hard to find something bad about this place. On the road to reach it, there are a couple of curves which are a bit dangerous. The window in the bathroom was a bit hard to reach and the light of the bathroom is outside of the bathroom (ideal for practical jokes).

Quinta de Seves is an old, beautifully renovated farm run by the friendly and always in-for-a-chat Almeida Garrett family. The Quinta is very well maintained, clean and an exceptional oasis of tranquility at the foot of the Serra da Estrella national park. We really enjoyed our stay ! We were treated with a very good breakfast with plenty of choices and also a tasting of the family's wines in the Quinta's garden, during which one of the family members gave an explanation of the family's history. The Quinta is perfectly located to e.g. discover the nearby Serra da Estrella, the town of Covilhã or just to walk around in the surrounding vineyards. We would definitely come back here !
