Location iodeal for our travelling arrangements. Excellent reception staff

Poor breakfast. Cooked food had been kept warm for too long, losing freshness. Elderly coach party diminished the dining experience. Chiming church clock throughout the night eliminated any chance of a decent sleep.

The room was lovely i have paid more for lesser quality cleanliness

Value for money, noisy bedroom, creaking floorboards, church bells through the night, quaint but not good if you are a light sleeper. The hotel cannot change this of course .

The location was perfect and the hanging baskets although near the end of the season were a delight to enjoy. The breakfast was disappointing (see below).

The breakfast was very disappointing. The bacon appeared to be air fried and was inedible. The sausages were dry, the poached eggs were cold, and the barely toasted toast was thick and dry. The constant smell of fish, wherever you drank outside, was overwhelming, which could be rectified by moving the extractor ducting to the roof, rather than the side of the building.

Right in the middle of the pretty market town and handy for everything we needed

There was nothing wrong with the property at all - but obviously things got noisy on a Saturday with parties and such. So don’t expect a peaceful stay at the weekend!

Amazing clean room with huge bed and large shower. Great parking and the staff are top notch professionals. Our go to stay in Market Harborough!!

I was concerned about getting to the hotel’s parking, but the hotel provided instructions that satnav took me straight to. Parking is on the backside of the hotel in a pay and display lot, but the hotel provides a parking slip for free parking. The hotel has plenty of character a building can only get after being around for centuries; uneven floors, uneven steps, and a nice aspect on the exterior. Our room was in the original building on the second floor. It was nicely furnished and actually had a safe. There was no A/C, but did have a ceiling fan. Breakfast was nice with more food options than some of the hotels we’ve stayed at.

Noise from the adjoining room was off the scale. I could hear their TV perfectly. No WIFI at all in my end of the hotel. Its 2026 guys not 1980

Pretty hotel and spacious room

No actual direction to rooms which meant we got lost and couldn’t find the room. You have to walk through a courtyard of people drinking and eating to get to the reception desk and parking wasn’t clearly marked/ difficult to find.

The hotel was in keeping with the old, country style surroundings, while still having modern conveniences. A very comfortable stay.

It was a very hot day and the windows barely opened. There is a restrictive cable to reduce opening for safety (understandable), but I felt the length it had been shortened too may be a little excessive. The gap could be wider, without compromising safety.

The main building and courtyard are very quaint and do reflects its age which is no bad thing. Meals were on the whole very good. Our room was on the ground floor so did not suffer too badly in the heat wave we had that week. The limited staff members that were there were excellent.

Could have had an extra member of staff present to serve in the restaurant as they were also trying to cover the busy bar at the same time and we were a group of over 20. It was extremely hot in the restaurant and there was no A/C working, could have had a portable unit for these conditions. Some rooms that others had in our group were also very hot. We did not have any soap or shower gel in our room so had to request this.

The staff were so helpful. Showed us 2 room.options on arrival , and service throughout our stay was top class. Breakfast was fantastic too , and we also had evening meal there. Again great staff service when dining.

Breakfast and Dinner were excellent and good value for money. The Hotel was very clean, the room was big and well stocked with all we needed. The gardens/outdoor area were fabulous, the hanging baskets were amazing. Market Harborough is a lovely place and will discover more on our next visit.

Not as clean as we'd have liked. Evening meal was bland. Wife wanted sea bass as that was best option of limited choices but they'd run out. Had chicken instead, no flavour and with a bolted potato and tasteless gravy. Steak and ale pie didn't have much ale flavour.

Decent enough room. Great central location. Characterful frontage.

Staff very scarce for an evening check-in. They’re too busy with functions etc and reception unmanned. Very annoying for a weary traveller. Exactly same thing happened when I stayed there a few years ago! Also, the hotel has sprawled into various buildings at the back, and is actually huge. This makes it far from quaint or boutique. It’s got as many rooms as a big chain hotel, but a fraction of the staff.

Lovely hotel. Right on the high street but very quiet. Spacious room, very nicely decorated. Loved the subtle light in the bathroom that came on on a sensor as you walked towards the door. Much better than switching the main light on in the middle of the night and having the bathroom fan stop on for the next 30 minutes! Well thought out.

We were with a wedding party. Breakfast was not kept as stocked up as would have liked but maybe we all came down for breakfast at the same time! Lovely area for breakfast though and staff all lovely.

Good location, loved the courtyard seating area, comfortable beds, good facilities, helpful staff. Me and a friend stayed in the twin room and found there was ample space for us both.

The only thing I'd change is better quality coffee in the rooms.

the room was lovely, very spacious, and had air conditioning. nestled in the village, easy access by car (and provided free parking for the duration of my stay) the staff were super lovely and helpful. I went for a friends wedding nearby, and could not have had a more lovely stay for that time.

Right in the centre of town but with a decent amount of parking. A number of separate building for rooms and the restaurant make up a very substantial hotel. The room was large, spotless, well-equipped and convenient. It was also good value.

There was just the one type of pillow which we found to be very hard. We did ask for another type but they don't supply any alternative. The 3 Swans used to have a lovely restaurant but now it is extremely ordinary and clearly part of a chain.

The hotel has a restaurant and a pub, both very good. The place is filled with flowers and is very beautiful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I didn't like the room myself and my son were allocated, for a Superior room it was very run down and badly placed due to the running water off the planters above. I didn't know that Dogs were allowed in the rooms

DO NOT EAT HERE! The evening meal was horrible. The staff didn’t even waste their time asking how it was because they probably already knew the answer. Overall, the staff were polite but very distant and indifferent.

Can’t think of anything

Loved everything about the 3 Swans in Market Harborough. Large comfy bed for me and my wife who were attending our sons' wedding at the local registry office. Food was great, breakfast was an excellent buffet style with all your full English favourites with option of fresh fruit, cereals etc. for anyone who prefers a lighter breakfast. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. In short, clean, comfortable, classy and well worth every penny.

Room very basic. There is a small fan built into the overhead light, but in our long room the fan was nowhere near the bed, so it didn't help cool down the room. We managed to borrow a table fan from housekeeping so that helped a little. Pillows were a bit too hard for us. Bed itself was OK.

Location and the rooms were large, spacious and well thought out. Very clean and comfortable along with little touches that add the feeling of welcome. Note from housekeeping, rubber duck in the bathroom.

I made the mistake of extending by one night directly with the hotel and was charged the fulll rack rate that was DOUBLE the booking.com rate for that night so felt very ripped off. My error but beware.

The hotel is in a very good location on the High Street with many high end shops and some pubs too.

Heat wave time…the room was overly hot!! No fan luckily we bought our own fan!! I ordered a tuna sandwich through the app and received a ham sandwich which they did replace!
