Staff were very friendly. Evening meal was excellent. Choice at breakfast was very good.
Had run out of our first choice of wine and beers. Furniture in the bar a little 'sad' in need of an update.
Very friendly staff. X
Location Good breakfast and facilities in the room
Bed was not very comfortable
Good food, clean comfy bedroom
Rain coming into bar through roof, especially after overheating a staff member say it had happened before. Got food order for my wife wrong, and instead of re-cooking it, they gave a new plate with the tomato etc scraped off the bottom of the chicken. Wood panelling next to our table had significant dust and debris, even a straw stuck down it.
Good location for us, met my needs, enjoyed the restaurant.
Good
Location and the bathroom
The room we had had cob webs, there was about 3 spiders, a tiny fly in bathroom and small beetle. Me and my partner even got bit twice during the night, as when we woke up we noticed bites on our legs
Weston Hall is a beautiful 16th century Manor house with lots of history. Most of the staff were cheery and upbeat.
Unfortunately the rooms are in need of refurbishment. In my first room, the wallpapers were peeling from the ceiling and walls. However, the bed was extremely comfortable! I was moved to a beautiful room with 4 poster bed and sofa. But the bed was most uncomfortable, and I slept on top of the quilt for some 'padding'. I was told they were in the process of spending money on the hotel. I do hope so, because the staff are lovely, and the surroundings are beautiful.
Beautiful hotel and amazingly helpful staff
Nothing
Lovely breakfast and enjoyed a good dinner. Grounds were lovely for after dinner drink and the servicewas excellent
Three quarter bed!!!
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Rooms were a little dated and could do with being updated
Location and facilities rooms were great
No AC was a problem based on the warm weather
The location was great. The beds were comfortable & The grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was great, the woman in the breakfast room was great at her job she knew every morning our tea/coffee order. She made us feel very welcome.
The room we were in was for 3 people & only had one accessible plug so we had to unplug the jug just to charge 2 phones. Then the hair dryer was tied into a draw in the desk so we had to sit in a chair right in front of the tv with no mirror just to blow dry our hair. Was not very comfortable at all. I’ve been to many hotels & never seen this. Surely u can charge people’s credit card which people give you when they check in if it goes missing & leave it not tied to a draw? We asked at the desk if we could have a hair dryer the man said there’s one in the room when we told him it’s in a draw he said yeah that’s how it is.
Nice settings and surrounding. Plenty of free parking. Free WiFi. Staff very Good
Food menu can be a bit limited when Functions are on. It can be noisy with having 5 Function rooms. But I work at busy wedding venue so it didnt affect myself.
Close to the event we were attending
Good parking
Pleasant surroundings helpful staff
Lack of snacks available after restaurant closed
Service and staff excellent
Parents from nearby school using carpark for collection of kids,
Pleasant members of staff & the coffee from the bar.
1.Bed sheet, although clean had a very 'musty' smell from being stored damp or fitted when damp. 2. Room 6, ground floor. When opening the curtains in the morning. Considering the photos displayed online of the wonderful gardens surrounding this hotel, I did not expect to see a large breeze block wall within 4 feet was my window. Nothing else! No wonder the room was dark inside. This room should be a 'last resort' emergency room or a store room. 3. Bath/shower screen water seal has been installed incorrectly (round the wrong way) so water seeps/drips onto the floor. Shower temperature control knob, stiff to use. Shower head continually drops on the rising pole, will not sray in one position. 4. TV remote absolutely filthy and disgusting to touch. Have we not learnt anything from COVID? Had to take batteries out & re-insert them to get it to work. 5. The room is just tired. Wallpaper peeling of the walls. Old furniture & old shower fittings.
The location and grounds
Breakfast was disappointing
We were very impressed with the welcome we received from the staff at Weston Hall last Friday and for all the trouble they went to ensure our stay was the best it could be. They worked as a team - most having worked there for a number of years - were full of good humour, with nothing being too tricky to help with and they were very informative about the property. Unexpectedly a little bird flew into our room while the window was ajar and left a few little 'presents' on the duvet cover, as a result the team moved us to a nearby room, which was an upgrade, really thoughtful and considerate of them. It was very hot and busy - great to see local people popping for a drink and/or a meal treating it like their local pub - but your staff remained relaxed, the evening meal we had was absolutely delicious. Finally, the building and setting were impressive and the history of the property is very interesting. We walked around the beautiful grounds to the woods and the nature reserve at the back, where we saw moor hens and a mother duck with little ducklings swimming happily and undisturbed in the little pond.
We enjoyed our breakfast and again the staff we lovely but could you please provide some fresh fruit to go with the yoghurt at breakfast, as well as some Granola/Muesli along side the other breakfast cereals on offer?
Was where my son had his prom night
The bed. Walls thin so hear lots of noise.
Friendly, comfortable and accommodating
A bit tired and lots of rubbish at the back and needs a general good tidy up
Friendly staff.
The noise all throughout the night, we didn't sleep at all it was awful.
The breakfast was very good. We'll cooked and plentiful
As we are in the higher age bracket it would have been nice to have a lift to our room. A gentleman did carry our case up the stairs after we asked. If we had been staying longer I would have asked for a ground floor room.
The garden were beautiful
It was a little tired On our first visit, the heating wasn’t working and it was cold in the room. The staff member came to fix it , but it didn’t work Unfortunately the breakfast was extremely disappointing! Dried up and tasteless .
We attended a funeral, als prom night, think the staff didn't excellent in a very challenging environment, balancing customer needs very well.
Naa it was good.
It was very nice but needs updating and investment
Lovely location she great staff
Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size. Staff were all very helpful.
Room could have been warmer. Extra heaters were available on request.
Very friendly staff couldnt do enough
Didnt realise the bed was a 3/4 bed for 2 adults cos it said double room
Lovely on the outside but needs a refurb inside
The staff were rude.. the rooms felt fusty
Beautiful building in lovely setting
Very dirty and tatty room
The beautiful building
Nothing
Staff were so welcoming, friendly and went over and above to make our stay pleasant. Facilities in the room were great and we got a great nights sleep.

The whole package. A lovely hotel in a nice location, friendly staff and lovely room. A great stay.
Nothing comes to mind.
Pleasant friendly staff comfortable
Location
Dust all over. One set of towels for a double room
Staff very good.
Breakfast Saturday cold, bacon like leather. Plates cold.
The room was fine, the breakfast was a buffet, liked helping ourselves.
The room was cold , the breakfast wasn't freshly cooked, it had been on a hot tray for a while a
A very old building with a somewhat sympathetic conversion into a hotel, the rooms were adequate and provided good service, the staff were helpful and efficient .
Lage, Ambiente, Look
Direkt unter unserem Zimmer (einfach verglast) fand eine Hochzeit statt mit sehr lauter Musik. Zum Glück wurde diese ca. 23.30h beendet. Vom Hotel kam KEINE Info vorab bei der Buchung
The building looks nice but thats about it
rooms were horrendous walls cracked, plaster hanging off the walls, carpet very old, just very very dated, small rooms on top floor, overpriced
Nice looking
Bedroom was to small couldn’t even walk round the bed , room needed decorating ,breakfast was not good
Very good quality but food was on the cool side
Didn't have breakfast
The room was too hot. Central heating was on and staff couldn't turn it off after complaining instead they gave us fan which didnt help much because it was a small one. Also food wasn't great
Everything
None
Friendly staff, lovely gardens and location. First day breakfast was very unfortunately the second day the cooked items had been left under the hot lamps for a long time and both the bacon, eggs and sausage had dried out and over ooked but overal a great stay
Second day breakfast
Everything was good couldn't fault the place .
Pleasant staff, nice sheets, pillows, towels and shower. Bed comfortable.
For me, when booking a 'small double' I expected this to be a smaller room with a normal double bed in, not a very small double bed. This wasn't a problem for me on my own but for those in couples found it exceptionally small. Room didn't have any view other than a brick wall outside 😅 but just to sleep and get ready in was perfect.
The location, the history, And definitely the staff.
It’s needs a bit of a paint in some of the rooms
Nice quiet room comfortable beds very clean
Had problem with radiators which were so hot and couldn’t turn them down or off. Called reception and they said they would send someone up but they never arrived. Temperature seemed better the next day. Also mentioned to reception when checking out that a non slip bath mat is necessary as the bath is very slippy and both myself and friend both had health problems and were very worried about slipping when using the bath. Also reported to reception that the shower temperature couldn’t be adjusted and was set far too hot. These issues do need to be attended to.
Beautiful building in a lovely setting. Real charm.
It met our needs.
Location worked for me. The towels were very nice quality.
Staff at reception did not know how to check me in. No warning when booking that there would be events on with loud music until 00:15 No double glazing so unable to sleep with loud music and noise from the smoking area outside my room Dirty room, poor standard of furniture, bathroom door not on hinges, holes in shower wall.
we had breakfast and dinner during our stay and was more than satisfied. The room we had was maybe a little smaller than what we expected but the bar area more than made up for it.
Nothing
vriendelijk en behulpzaam
het avondeten was slecht
Super dog friendly which is great and given a ground floor room. The gardens are lovely and the restaurant was outstanding, we had a birthday meal there one evening, it was faultless.
In need of refurbishment, rooms very dated all needed a bit of TLC however it was clean, housekeepers were trying their best.
Very quaint and good food.
The beds. Needs to be changed.
Lovely old building in convenient location.
Smell of urine and bad mattress
Very friendly staff
The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable.
The food was just o k. We ordered the sea bass with patatas bravas which were burnt and inedible.
Friendly staff, clean although tired looking
Very small beds and tight for space. Carpets not cleaned well around edges and tired looking decor in the rooms
We visit often, but first time in room 36
As you will see there is no big negative but the cleanliness in room 36 could be much improved due to gather dust on furniture and in particular at the base of the bed. The reason there is no big negative is because the unite carvings are difficult to clean for obvious reasons, a simple deep clean on the room would make it much improved. There was also a lightbulb that did not work and the electrics went off on the ring main but were corrected quite quickly with a smile.
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This was for a surprise 80th birthday meal for my mother in law who was only expecting to have lunch with half of the party, as the other half of the guests was the surprise. We were in the Stone and Ivy restaurant and choose the 3 course meal. Which may i add was not only exceptional value for money but cooked and presented perfectly, so complements to the chef and kitchen. Thank you to reception for helping to hide the surprise guests and a huge thankyou to the staff in the restaurant. Nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend
Fantastic place for events staff are second to none. Vicki helps with booking Jane manager Michelle bar staff, Ian Manager Graham manager all super people. Nothing is to much trouble always smiling and helping us all set up. Can’t thank you all enough.
Very friendly staff , excellent evening meal in the restaurant , love the architecture of the main building and the wood panelling in the bar area . Lovely gardens and very pet friendly .
Decor a little tired in the bedroom
Omgeving en gastvrijheid ook voor de hond
Had her en der wat schoner gekund, spinnenweb hier en daar. Maar prima.
The room was very nice and quiet with all facilities needed, a good sleep on a good matress
Decor a little tired
Lovely staff good food and very very dogfriendly Think we will cone back
Hope Best Western will renovate the beautiful manor and the rest of thr building because it needs some TLC
The surrounding grounds were excellent as we were accompanied by two dogs. The room was adequate but a little small with two dogs. The evening meal offered sufficient variety, and the restaurant facilities were fine. We had to leave early for Crufts dog show and so we did not have breakfast at the hotel. Car parking was good.
There was nothing in particular and our stay was short.
Area was in was quite
Bed uncomfortable, food wasn't up to standards for money of the rooms rude staff members, and you have to wait ages to get a drink plus bed dirty, and rooms had damp dog smell, won't be staying here again that's for sure
Great location and helpful, friendly staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea celebrating my birthday with friends. Lovely room, Staff were all very friendly and food was amazing. I've been 3 times now and I've never been disappointed. Highly recommend
Location ….. food good staff helpfull
Room decor could do with updating …. Rotten wood corner of shower cobwebs carpet needed clean …. Realise time of year but grounds a mess litter all over car park . Should be higher standards with price you pay
The staff are super friendly, efficient, and kind. The breakfast was delightful and we had plenty of choice of lots of lovely items The Hotel location is wonderful, easy to get to and plenty of good parking.
.
From the outside nice looking property
Stuck in the80’s and in need of a lot of money spent to update. Room was very dated and bed was one of the worst I’ve slept in. Matres was so worn out you could feel the bed slats
Excellent breakfast, the room was a little small as it was only a small double which is fine for one person but a bit of a squeeze for two. The bathroom door was a sliding door which was a bit noisy but the bathroom itself was adequate.
