Good location and facilities. Food and staff excellent.
Nothing.
Location is great right on the towpath watching Skiffs Rowers boaters food not bad
It is tired needs attention woodwork needs cleaning and painting sticky tables bathrooms old trickle shower over bath
Lovely place to stay with balcony & view of river. There was live music outside but it did not go on late and did not spoil our stay. Good cooked breakfast just need to add some juice to drink. Great location to stay to visit Hampton Court.
Na
Relaxed and staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay again
We had such a lovely stay at the Weir Hotel, along with other family members, to celebrate my nephews birthday, the location was so nice, we had a balcony room which we really enjoyed. The breakfast also was great, some family members joined & came back.
Nothing
Very nice location.Yorkshire tea in room
Lovely location Pleasent staff Good selection of beers on tap. Basic pub grub, but well prepared.
Had to leave early in morning to catch a flight from LHR, but no exit through pub as no one about till breakfast staff in. Had to exit in poor light via a slippery fire escape with all our luggage. Nothing that a lick of paint or a deep clean wouldn't sort out.
Lack of information, a menu would help at breakfast.
Beautiful location
Nothing
The staff very welcoming, food was average
The whole place is very tired and stale smell throughout, tables in bar sticky, very rundown has once been a lovely location
The views from balcony
Nothing
A great location at a good price
The property looks tired. There was a very noisy generator running in the yard behind the pub near my bedroom. it ran all night and kept me awake.
View of river feom room. Staff excellent. Cooked breakfast and evening meal very good.
Little bit dated but kind of added to the charm of the place.
We loved this Hotel, its age and history. The room, meals, and surroundings. It was an ideal place to stay, a 30 minute train ride into London. A walk to Hampton Court , which took us an hour and 10 minutes.
Food was good
The hot water took ages to run a bath
Rooms 1, 2, 6 were very good. Location was very good. Food was good. The menu was varied and tasty. The staff and owners were very attentive. A necessary change of rooms was quickly accommodated for our second night.
Rooms 3 and 4 were unbearably hot (due to the weather that weekend), even with fans going full speed. These rooms were cramped compared to the rooms facing the front of the hotel. They also lacked the beautiful vista overlooking the river. Cost of these rooms should have been less than the better rooms. Bathrooms need updating.
Nice location right on towpath walk overlooking river so lovely to sit outside and eat/drink watching boats pass, geese and swans. Stayed in King room with balcony. Was a very hot day/humid night so needed windows open which does encourage mosquitos/flies which in turn attracts spiders of which there were a good few who wanted to share our room. However other than that the room is spacious, bed comfy (tv very dodgy reception so not much hope of watching a good programme). Coffee machine, kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided. Shower and corner bath in bathroom - again bathroom decent size. Other than a rather sleepless night coz we are pathetic sharing with spiders it was a nice room (decor dated but adequate). Full cooked English included for morning. Nice play to stay 👌
Had requested twin beds but the double was a large bed and staff did come up and make up a fold up single. New fans that work better may make hot nights more comfy as cant have windows open too much as lots of insects come in *on top of ones that arent already lurking lol but thats nothing to do with hotel itself. Very popular for people to come to drink and eat (we didn't eat a main meal there, only breakfast - which was great)!
Location. The beer, when it was on, was good. The steak and ale pie was very nice, as was the sweet.
Draught beer not always available. Plenty of lager, if you like it (I don't). Calamari not cooked properly, but issue resolved by polite staff and removed from bill. The room decor was tired looking (paint and cracked tiles in bathroom) but bed was comfortable. More attention needs to be paid when cleaning.
The location from the airport, closeness to the river and other attractions
The room was too small, too hot with poor windows that could open. The beds were very well used. The place needs a makeover. Didn't like the lack of variety for breakfast, not a piece of fruit insight. Too many smoking tables outside so nowhere was smoke free.
Location
Dirty, old, and tried room.
The location is fabulous right on the river.
The hotel needs serious investment. The place is so dated, from the furnishings to the structure. We had a room with a balcony which only emphasized how bad a condition the building is. The facias are rotten and the gutters need replacing. Such a shame because it has the potential to be a fantastic hotel.
Lovely little hotel on the Thames, beautiful setting.Staff were amazing and helpful, great bar menu and drinks all reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again
Nothing to dislike
You double booked me so i was not able to stay with you unfortunately .You sorted another hotel which was lovely but further awY from the venue we were attending .It cost alot of money to get back to the other hotel as we could have wLkef from the wier so we wer out of pocket by £30 .I can’t comment further i am afraid
Location lovely. Right on the river with outside seating. Had cooked lunch and breakfast-which was very good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Woodwork and radiator needed repainting. Towel rail was rusty.
Beautiful little pub with excellent staff will definitely be returning
The river
The Breakfast Was Good ! The Food/Dinner Was Good ! Felt Slightly Anxious Travelling Alone But Keira Was A Star !
Great location as we cycled along the Thames to Hampton Court, Kingston and Richmond. The breakfast was very good too. The room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Thames
The price of wine was extortionate, £9.45 per glass! A small fridge in the room would have been nice to enjoy a bottle of wine on the balcony (New Zealand Sauv Blanc £7.25 a bottle from a supermarket).
Very nice location.
Needs updating abit.
Lovely setting. Pleasant and friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom, very good hospitality tray in room.
Had breakfast. Ordered poached egg on toast with tomato. Waited ages and when it came the eggs were solid and overcooked, bread was dry and no tomato.
Lovely location, beautifully on the river for morning walks. Lovely old building, friendly helpful staff. Good quality breakfast and dinner. Thank you!
The only thing we found was a rather large cobweb in the bathroom and when we rolled down the blind there was quite a few dead bugs on the blind. Not enough to upset us but easily rectified
Lovely peaceful garden by Thames. Good food friendly atmosphere.
Bed a bit soft room to warm.
We truly loved the hotelrooms as part of the old Weir pub and restaurant. The location was superb for a walk along Thames path, relaxing in the sun and visiting Hampton Court. Even taking the train to London from Walton station during offpeak hours was quite doable and affordable. The cooked breakfast was nice, the staff (hip and young, one wouldnt expect that in such a secluded area) was friendly and prepared just to serve us that little bit more. We would come back if we ever would be in the neighbourhood.
If I had to say something, the rooms were a bit old, but charming nonetheless
Really beautiful setting by the river with a picturesque tow path to explore right outside. Friendly staff, exceptionally quiet , reasonably priced restaurant and fabulous breakfast
Nothing much except the shower was a bit weak and the dressing table mirror was way too high.
Good vibes, beautiful setting, Ploughman’s was lovely.
Room was very warm (appreciated the fans) bathroom clean but cobwebby.
Very good breakfast. Exellent location right beside river.very pleasant sat in beer garden
Staff were attentive and friendly, particularly the guy doing the breakfasts and check out.
My room (room 5) was *incredibly* noisy overnight and the light on the WiFi thing on the plug socket went off like a strobe light all night. Really irritating.

The location is perfect, beautiful scenery and peaceful. I had an evening meal which was delicious. The staff work hard and were helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was complimentary water, tea, coffee and biscuits! The towels and bedding were clean and fresh.
The room and bathroom were not very clean. The bathroom in particular smelt strongly of stale urine. There is no fridge in the room. There was an alarm or electrical beeping sound going off throughout the night. Breakfast is not served until 7.30 so no good if you need to head out early.
Staff,excellent breakfast,location
Nothing
Lol
Very friendly ideally situated for our trip
Breakfast was great, it was quick, ample, staff very pleasant and pleasant view over the river.
It was hot as the weather was very hot. It was hard to get comfortable in the room at night. Nonfridge to keep drinks cool. A fan was provided but the dust was so thick on the inaccessible blades that we could not use it.
Lovely location and relaxing atmosphere
Nothing
Location was perfect and staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast
Tv signal very poor
The welcome was very good, we were early and straight away, we were shown to our room.
Firstly we'd like to say, the staff at the Weir were amazing, they couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. It was a heatwave when we arrived. the window in our room was stuck, we couldn't open it, the staff quickly managed to open the window for us. and offered us an extra fan too. Sadly, the bathroom needs replacing, the shower didn't have enough pressure, the toilet pan was very low, also the hand basin didn't fit pedestal Shower fixing was falling off the wall, also the window in bathroom would not open. Hopefully, the Weir are able to address the issue in Room 3 Despite what we have said " our stay was great. Breakfast was delicious too The staff were amazing. Spotless bedding and towels too. Great tea-making facilities biscuits and bottles of water too. Nice touch. We are definitely going to go back.
breakfast ok there was no fruit juice, and second morning had no mushrooms left and theres only 6 rooms.
shower poor water pressure and bathroom window handle was broken so you could not open the window
We love the location. Room had a lovely view and was well-appointed. Staff always very friendly and helpful.
wished the outlets had been updated but that might detract from the charm of the place.
Fantastic location right on the Thames path. Lovely view from our room and balcony.
Staff, location, dinner and breakfast were all superb
Lovely setting, quiet and great to stay and dine
Nothing
Could do with a little updating
View
Furniture old carpets dated in all a tired hotel
The location is undoubtedly wonderful, right alongside the River Thames
The place seems a little run down and some of the staff not particularly welcoming. The room was boiling (admittedly during a heatwave) but there seemed no way for air to get in there. Not helped by the fact the bathroom window could not be opened..
Beautiful riverside location
No air conditioning
This is more of a pub than a hotel. The room was quaint but old fashioned and some furniture past its prime. However, the location, overlooking the river, is lovely.
This isn't suitable for people on business stays. No aircon - although the fan was efficient if noisy. The balcony isn't private but runs in front of a number of rooms, which makes security an issue Cigarette and petrol fumes wafted through the open windows at time from the garden and car park below Breakfast was poor and slow - only a few cereals laid out (no fruit, juice, yoghurts etc) and the quality of the poached eggs was poor.
Great location by the Thames and perfect for travel to ascot races Which was my reason for going good food and comfortable room
Breakfast service was slow and not much choice in cereal and no options for cooked breakfast just one choice
An amazing location.

Great location right on the River Thames, lovely to sit on the patio or in the garden and watch the various boats, or walk along the towpath. Good choice of food served all day. Good breakfast. Comfortable room with tea and coffee facilities, etc..
Authentic bed and breakfast on the Thames. Great breakfast. Enjoyed a morning walk along the Thames
Room was hot however it was a hot summer night. No aircon only a fan
The location on the riverbank was lovely. The room was clean and comfy. A nice welcome from Sam.
The decor was dated abd dirty in the coiridor areas. Tye pub was very dark. It could be transformed with some modern lighter paint colours. The guy that served breakfast didnt stop looking at his phone and his customer service skills well none existent. He shiffled around in his slippers and didnt seem to be bothered.
Located by the River Thames was so pretty. It was such a traditional English Inn.
Nothing It was all good.
By the Thames
Smell of food
Lovely room overlooking the river. Very clean with comfortable bed and good tea making facilities. Good English breakfast choices. Great service
Just the smells of cooking in hallway to bedrooms was a little overwhelming. Bedrooms were fresh though.
I like the cosy feel of the room & everyone was very friendly.
Everything was good.
Great staff, delicious food and great location. Loved going to sleep with the sound of the weir
The location is fabulous, right on the river with a lovely tow path walk.
Convenient

Great setting and very friendly

This place is a hidden gem. Right on the Thames and surrounded by trees. Unpretentious and great value. Staa very friendly

We stayed here last year in a twin room, which was all we could get at the time. Now we’ve tried a double on the balcony we’re sold on the river-dog experience. It’s very dog friendly. Views over the weir, great food, great full English brekkie, super-comfortable bed. Everything you need in the room.. iron, hairdryer, coffee, water, biscuits, plenty of sockets. So much to love about the laid back, enjoyable stay :-)
Were used to a super king bed so king felt small. Fan not enough to keep you cool on the river-side, which is where the sun goes down so you need all doors and windows open and bring another fan. That was a mildly sunny day in June.
Great position on the banks of the Thames. Great breakfast included.
Unlucky to stay during heat wave (worst in UK history in May). Room was small, HOT and overlooked the back carpark and bins. Bathroom window wouldn't open and no breeze came in the bedroom window. We had two fans going flat out (to no avail) and hence, had to use earplugs at night. Also had bright carpark security light shining in the window. At 7:30 p.m on our second night, the industrial washing machine on the floor directly above us ran for two and a half hours, making a terrible noise. We complained twice to no avail. We did not stay for our third booked night. We asked for a refund, but will have to wait and see if it is eventually refunded through Booking.com.
Excellent Hotel. Enormous room and bathroom. Extremely good value, arguably under priced. Breakfast good. Did not like the style of evening meal, but that a personal comment, the amount of local customers prove I am in the minority there. As a bed n breakfast Hotel excellent, great friendly service and lovely room. Wonderful value for money. Thank you.
Great location - quiet at night and nice river location.
It’s a bit tired but that’s reflected in the price it’s fantastic value
Die Lage ist super, das Essen top, es gibt sogar Erdinger Weizenbier.. Das Zimmer war hervorragend mit tollem Ausblick
Der Aufgang zum Zimmer ist etwas steil.
Location acceptable although if you walked along the footpath (nothing to do with the Hotel) it was unkempt with lots of branches and vegetation that needed clearing. Also a couple of benches in a poor state. Breakfast was acceptable although no cornflakes in the basket of cereal on offer - a cereal staple I would have thought. One day there was no butter but upon request this was provided. Breakfast was cooked fairly well although bacon was burnt on one morning and no black pudding. Scrambled egg on toast was very good. Standard pub fare on the menu. Evening meals were well cooked.
Hotel exterior very unkempt with a weed strewn car park full of potholes. Interior desperately in need of renovation. Sadly neglected for many a year. One could feel the sadness of the place oozing from its pores and this I think had infected the staff. Not their fault I would add as they were doing their best and probably do not even realise. Lots of mix and match furniture in the 3 rooms with televisions all able to receive different channels - not one the same! Rusty towel rails and missing shelf and toilet flush in 2 of the 3 bathrooms. Also an all pervading smell of fried food in the corridors.
Perfect for someone walking the Thames Path as it's right on the trail, although a bit of a walk out of Walton on Thames so would pay to stock up on any supplies before you set off for The Weir
Breakfast offering was a little underwhelming, not much in the way of fruit with the continental option
Breakfast was adequate
It’s a 3 star hotel so all was fine
Very dog friendly, very welcoming of our three dogs. We’ve stayed a few times now. The dog fee is very reasonable. And a delicious breakfast is included. Situated very conveniently for when we travel into central London, but the hotel itself is located in a beautiful location.
Great breakfast Nice spot by Thames- good walking and recreation
Bath shower dated and ineffective
Breakfast and friendly service
Smell of old cooking oil
Tolle Lage
Das Frühstück war bescheiden ,ich habe schon besser in England gefrühstückt Die Zimmer sehr einfach eingerichtet, die Badezimmer benötigen eine Renovierung
