Le restaurant proposait un menu 4 ou 5 services ou le menu à la carte , je voulais le plat consistant et le dessert donc menu à la carte mais la serveuse a retenu les 2 entrées que j'avais voulu dédire. Il y eu mauvaise compréhension et les 2 entrées servies . Le petit déjeuner trop honéreux par rapport à ma demande 50€ pour 2 personnes pour 1 chocolat chaud maison , 2 tasses de café, 5 petites viennoiseries , 2 petites tranches de pain céréales de 3 cm d'épaisseur , 2 morceaux de baguettes , 1 petit morceau de beurre d'ardenne et 2 jus d'orange frais . Que vous demandez moins , le prix reste pareil , ce n'est cependant pas correcte par rapport aux personnes demandant le déjeuner plus complet. Je n'ai cependant aucun regret de mon séjour et cette expérience gastronomique. Le prix se justifie par la qualité des produits et du savoir faire. pour le restaurant. Mon retour probable mais sans petit déjeuner et sans prendre le restaurant d'être plus traditionnelle pour les plats et mon opinion sur le petit déjeuner. Je me réserves de respecter ce que cet établissement propose et de m'en faire mes propres choix.

De rust van de omgeving. De hond werd zeer goed ontvangen - zelfs een mand op de kamer. Mooi zwembad ... ideaal bij warme dagen. Het restaurant zag er ook goed uit ... maar er was geen plaats meer.

Personeel was erg hulpvaardig en flexibel. We hebben een groot gezin en daarom twee kamers geboekt. Door ons een upgrade te geven konden we twee kamers naast elkaar krijgen. Het ontbijt is fantastisch en een must have. Voor de kinderen waren de ezeltjes en de schapen heel leuk. Vanwege de tijd hebben we geen gebruik kunnen maken van de hottub, maar dat zag er ook goed uit.

We hadden wat laat geboekt, waardoor we jammer genoeg niet 's avonds in het restaurant konden eten, want het was volgeboekt.

The property is gorgeous and so well maintained. The rooms are all beautiful and unique. Each room has a character. We went as a group and took the whole hotel. We enjoyed it so much. The food was amazing. Very high quality ingredients and presentation. We especially had Benjamin and Delphine who were very patient with us.

The chef once told us that the restaurant is not a place for kids, which was weird considering they were documented to be there when we booked and we were there because the kids had a gymnastics competition. Anyways, we were enjoying the place and staff too much to let it bother us.

De gastvrijheid en de mooie locatie

Het is er prachtig. De kamer is geweldig. Het ontbijt is het geld helemaal waard. Personeel is super en de sauna en de hot tub waren heerlijk.

De prijzen voor koffie en drinken in de “bar” waren buitenproportioneel hoog. Maar dat is iets waar je zelf voor kiest om te bestellen.

Het personeel is super vriendelijk. Het zwembad is fantastisch, het ontbijt is heerlijk.

Amazing location with great garden with a variaty of animals, which was nice for the kids. Very friendly host and service. Delicious breakfast! Fresh warm pastries and eggs. There was also a nice hike straight from the garden of the hotel.

Personeel heel vriendelijk en attent. Diner is van heel goede kwaliteit en bediening ook heel goed. Flexibiliteit met ontbijt wat betreft prijs met kinderen: 2-jarige geen kosten en voor een 6-jarige betaal je niet de volle prijs. Tuin met paarden en ezels, mogelijkheid om vanuit de tuin natuur in te wandelen.

Prijs-kwaliteit ontbijt ondermaats: 25 pp voor een volwassene. Je vinkt aan op een kaart wat je wilt hebben voor ontbijt. Fruitsalade is een klein bakje met een paar bruin uitgeslagen stukjes gesneden appel en peer, dat op smaak is gebracht met wat grapefruit vruchtvlees. Yoghurt: klein bakje met drie eetlepels yoghurt. Scrambled eggs/roerei: hoeveelheid van 1 ei. Het is allemaal erg afgemeten en karig. De kleine croissantjes, kleine koffiebroodjes en het stokbrood waren lekker en wel genoeg. Koffie op dag twee was erg slap. Gedateerde badkamer, haren bij het bad. Ik snakte naar mijn eigen badkamer. Het buitenzwembad dat niet verwarmd was in tegenstelling tot wat op de eigen website van het hotel staat vermeld (!): verwarmd buitenzwembad tot en met eind oktober. Dat was wel een flinke domper en is ook wel kwalijk: als ik dat van te voren had geweten hadden we het hotel niet geboekt.

Diner en ontbijt topklasse! Zeer hoffelijk personeel. Beschaafde sfeer. Fraai hotel, smaakvol ingericht.

Zeer mooie locatie met een prachtig zwembad en fijne ligbedden erbij. Ook zijn er handdoeken voor bij het zwembad beschikbaar. Het ontbijt was ook erg lekker en uitgebreid. Kamers groot met een heerlijke douche. Veel handdoeken en badjas en sloffen lagen ook op de kamer. In de omgeving is er niet veel te doen maar op deze locatie is dat ook niet echt nodig.

Er wordt gevraagd wat je wilt ontbijten, maar er wordt vooraf niet verteld dat dit 25 euro per persoon kost. Veel geld. Wij hadden geboekt voor 5 personen. Dus een extra bed. Dit kost 20 euro per nacht, vind ik een hoop geld omdat je al voor 5 personen boekt. Kamer was groot en fijn alleen wel wat stof in de kamer. Voor deze prijs verwacht je dat niet. De bedden zijn aan vervanging toe. Veel te zacht en met een kuil erin.

A cosy old house in an idyllic country setting, it was a perfect visit to disconnect away from the city. Excellent breakfast and kind staff, I would love to come again.

Prachtig gelegen accommodatie met super fijn zwembad. Het eten is voortreffelijk en meer dan genoeg. Het personeel is gastvrij, denkt mee en altijd bereikbaar.

Location, gastronomy, staff helpfulness and kindess, property with character, nice touch: Nux toilerty products, bath rob and slippers included in room, enough coffee and tea in the room. Air co in the room.

Sauna on top: should be included with room; in my room: paper was coming off from ceiling above the bed, no mosquito net at the window so u dont want to open knowing that u are surrended with nature and horse (flies and mosquitoes).

The situation is beautiful although the approach from Pepinster is a little disappointing. The house and grounds are delightful. The horses, donkey, goat, miniature pony, a gaggle of geese and a peacock only add to the overall ambience. Chef Olivier Tucki’s presentations are outstanding and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely one for a second visit.

Second visit there and did not disappoint ! Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast excellent. Room clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. Dog friendly !

Nothing not to like

We loved our stay at Lafarques! It's a very cozy and comfortable country house, beautifully decorated and full of charm. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially around the pool, and the fact that they welcome dogs was the cherry on top. The house is located in a small village surrounded by nature, so it's very tranquil, you do need a car to get around, but everything you might need is accessible. One of the highlights was the renowned on-site restaurant. The chef’s degustation menu was absolutely amazing, highly recommended to try at least once during your stay. If you're looking for a peaceful country retreat that blends nature, comfort, and a touch of luxury, this place is a great choice.

Overall it was a very positive experience, but we visited during the summer and unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working. Since it’s an old country house, the bedroom got quite hot. The staff was kind and did their best by providing us with a fan, but I have to admit it was still uncomfortably warm at times.

Very nice hotel, with beautiful surroundings. The heated swimming pool was a nice extra facility we enjoyed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The sweet donkeys in the meadow that you could pet and the big garden surrounding the mansion we liked a lot.

Breakfast was good but I expected more choices for this price. Quality of the food was very good. The bed was ok, it was soft which I like, but there was a dip in the middle which made it feel like you were not lying flat.

No choice of food other than an extensive 4, 5 or 6 course dinner

We loved the place but most importantly they have such a great fine dine restaurant. Chef Oliver was such a nice person with his team they do great job. They even pick plants for your dished from the nature which is great for a fine dine restraunt.

The reception, friendliness of staff and hospitality was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The individual possibility to order breakfast the evening before was fantastic and extremely convenient. The entire setting is awesome, just like the restaurant and the interior design - like being at home.

At Lafarques, everything is excellent - the environment, rooms, decorations, breakfast, and last but not least, the staff. Especifically Jean's hospitality is so great that you'll forget you're in a hotel but as if you are a guest at your friend's place (read palace!). If you stay at Lafarques, don't miss the chance to relax in the jacuzzi while listening to the tranquil sounds of birds singing and the occasional bass bleat of a sheep from far away!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. From our welcome by Jean at the front desk to the moment we left our stay was fabulous. The room was decorated beautifully with plenty of clean towels and toiletries supplied. The room also had free tea and coffee and the contents of the fridge were also free of charge. The hotel outside pool was heated so was lovely to have a swim in the evening on the day we arrived. The breakfast was delicious - Juice, Fresh fruit and yoghurt, plenty of pancakes, scones, pastries and fresh bread. Eggs, bacon, etc. Totally full for the day afterwards. We ate in the hotel restaurant most nights. The meal would start with the hotel's signature cocktail along with al la carte nibbles such as oysters in garlic butter and breadcrumbs, foie gras and avocado cones to name but a few. The chef personally came to the table to explain what was in each dish. Living in Bucks I am lucky enough to have eaten at Raymond Blanc's, The Roux Brothers, Heston's and Tom Kerridge's restaurants. The Chef at Lafarques rates higher than all of them in my opinion. It is worth staying at this hotel just to sample his cuisine. There are lots of nice walks around the grounds and it is close to both the town of Spa, which has the oldest casino in the world, and also the grand prix track. I will definitely be staying there again soon.

Good sized room. Comfortable large bed with good quality bedding. Nice bathroom and shower. Lovely grounds. Quiet surroundings.

We had no access to our balcony due to repairs ( we paid for a deluxe room ).....no alternative room was offered. Significantly overpriced breakfast at 25 Euro's per head. The only cooked part of breakfast was a soft boiled egg and a relatively small pancake. There was a very limited choice. On the positive side the breakfast was of good quality and well presented..

geweldig hotel en omgeving

Having booked a number of months in advance for the last night of our two week tour of Europe - the hotel cancelled our booking via email (which naturally went to the spam folder) 2 days prior to arrival. My mobile number was available but they chose not to call this. Their excuse was that Expedia bookings often don't turn up. Our own view is that our booking was for a single Saturday night that they made more money by booking it as part of weekend booking for more than one night. As to where they then expected us to find identical rated accommodation in July for a room for 3 people remains a mystery. When we arrived they offered an alternative hotel but we would have had to pay for a second room - which we weren't doing with our original booking. They also insisted we eat in this restaurant as opposed to the replacement hotel. To be quite honest I took this as a total joke - still seeking to make money out of our inconvenience. Their behaviour was deplorable seeking to not honour our booking and showed little care towards our position instead obviously booking the room for the night for more money. This is a truthful honest situation that occurred and caused us great inconvenience and meant we ended our holiday one night earlier than expected returning to the UK.

Excellent séjour, le cadre est beau, la chambre très bien décorée. Dîner gastronomique excellent, tout comme le petit déjeuner. Personnel très sympathique. Parfait.
