Superbe hôtel ! Équipements au top : kayak, paddle à disposition, piscine, accès à la mer, transats. Petit déjeuner incroyable : à la carte à volonté. La dame qui gérait les équipes de restauration était au petit soin, rendant les repas très agréables et personnalisés.

Heel mooi resort.

Ruige zee en daardoor kon je niet de zee in. Open douche en n wc buiten waardoor de hongerige muggen toch steeds mee naar binnen kwamen. Prijzen in restaurant relatief duur. Familiekamer erg klein die wij hadden. Koffers konden we niet uitpakken maar stapelden we op en pakten er steeds iets uit. Heel veel muggen in juli.

Das Resort ist einfach nur ein Traum. Es ist eine der schönsten Hotelanlagen, in der wir jemals waren. Es stimmt einfach alles, gepflegte liebevoll angelegte Zimmer, hohe Privatsphäre, sehr nettes Personal!

The location is perfect: all accommodations have a downhill view over the sea. There were +/- 25 accommodations, so there's a lot of space for the guests. The outdoor swimming pool offers a view over the small beach, sea. When the weather is not cloudy, you can even enjoy (part of) the sunset from the pool. The resort has several spots with sun lounges, all offer fantastic views over the sea. The resort restaurant is perfect: the best food on the entire island with a lot of choice (mostly asian & a little bit western food, we recommend asian food), great view from the restaurant over the resort and sea, Unlimited à la carte breakfast, for lunch we ate outside the resort but we had supper every evening at the resort restaurant. Consider the restaurant itself as part of the experience at Shantaa (that you can't miss!). The staff is very professional and has attention for detail. When we arrived at Shantaa, a staffmember immediatly took care of our luggage. During the smooth check-in, we received a cool drink and refreshing towel (in thai "phâa yen"). From day 1, the staff also knew our accommodation number by heart, this makes you feel as an important customer rather than a room number. On another day, we were sitting on lounge poufs in the bar and started a conversation with a female staffmember. After 2 minutes the conversation was still ongoing and she adopted a respectful half-crouch while speaking with us, so that we would be at the same height. To some people these things might seem trivial or details, but to us it felt like nonverbal courtesy that we appreciated very much throughout our stay!

The opening hours of the swimming pool are a little bit limited. It would be really nice if they could extend those opening hours for example till 22:00.

Un hôtel magnifique dans un lieu paradisiaque ! Si vous voulez passer un séjour au calme, loin de l'agitation des touristes, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. Le personnel est gentil et serviable. Le restaurant est délicieux.

Wow. What a beautiful, breathtaking place. Everything was perfect. Super clean. The scenery was gorgeous. Great pool. Friendly staff. Kai was very helpful. The restaurant was delicious. Breakfast is not a buffet but rather an order from the menu. It' s not listed as a 5 star but it is comparable to one. No television but I understand why. No phone to reception.

We loved the atmosphere here. There were storms when we went there, so we didn’t get to enjoy swimming in ocean as the tides were too high, which was unfortunate. Despite that, we were still happy using resort’s facilities to relax and spend our quality time together.

I couldn’t find the phone in the resort, so it was quite hard for me to contact them in an instance when I needed to ask them something. Since the resort is huge, it takes a while to reach at the reception. If you have difficulty walking, perhaps this is not the one for you.

Beautiful facilities, resort and great staff

This is an amazing boutique hotel with exceptional staff, stunning views, and one of the few properties we would rate a perfect 10. We stayed in the Sweet Adult Suite, which features a unique open-air style bathroom and incredible ocean views. The restaurant was excellent, with plenty of delicious vegetarian options, and we especially enjoyed the large infinity pool. We visited during the off-season, which made for a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, and the resort thoughtfully provides games, paddleboards, life jackets, and snorkeling equipment for guests to enjoy. The attention to detail really stood out. The rooms include complimentary water bottles and snacks, and the restaurant offers free drinking water—something that is surprisingly uncommon in Thailand. Overall, Shantaa Resort delivered an unforgettable experience, and we would happily return.

I would not say these are bad things but things you should be aware of when booking. 1. No TV. They want you to be focused on the scenery. 2. This place is in nature and therefore there are animals and bugs around the area. The place is clean and this should be expected on an island. 3. You need scooter / taxi to get around. There is nothing walking distance however the resort is amazing and you can spend all day there. 4. The beach attached to the resort is rocky; however a few minute walk gets you to a swimming beach.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft/Anlage, aussergewöhnlich gutes Frühstück, Essen im Restaurant allgemein sehr gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Anlage selbst verfügt über keinen Sandstrand, d.h. entweder man geht an den angrenzenden Strandabschnitt oder man begibt sich auf Erkundungstour (Rollerverleih vor Ort / persönlicher Fahrer kann via Resort organisiert werden). Fussläufig ist nicht viel erreichbar.

We had one of the best trips of our lives here, and Shantaa Villa was a huge reason for that 🤍 Everyone was incredibly friendly and we always felt so well taken care of. The team helped organise the perfect week for us — snorkeling trips, island excursions, scooter rental, kayaking, massages, even a little boat test drive 😄 Everything was effortless and we always felt in very good hands. The villas and the whole property are absolutely beautiful. The resort is located in such a peaceful area, and although you have access to all the facilities, the lodges are designed in a way that still feels very private and hidden away from the other guests. During our stay we visited many beaches and saw many other hotels, but we genuinely loved ours the most. When we left, I almost cried a little 🥹 We are already hoping to come back very soon. And btw — I painted Grandma’s worst enemy 😼🎨🥰

We loved everything about Shantaa resort. We stayed for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect place to be. It is a very peaceful, relaxing tranquil place. It is so well maintained and designed and the staff are so welcoming friendly and attentive. They have small attention to detail that give it the edge over other resorts, for example towels and drinking water at the pool and beach. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and really good coffee. The restaurant for lunch and dinner was really good too, lots of choice and really tasty fresh good quality food. The staff made everything so easy for us between bike hire and transfers etc. Would highly recommend staying here it is an exceptional setting. I wish them all the best for the future.

Be ware the hot water comes out scalding hot; it will burn you! We mentioned this to management.

Unser Aufenthalt im Shantaa Resort war einfach traumhaft. Unser Zimmer war perfekt eingerichtet – warm, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Besonders toll fanden wir, dass wir zu zweit sogar jeweils einen eigenen Kleiderschrank hatten. Sobald man die Vorhänge aufzog, hatte man das Gefühl, mitten im Dschungel zu sein – einfach wunderschön und unglaublich entspannend. Das Außenbad war total urig, gleichzeitig aber stilvoll und schön eingerichtet. Jeder Gang ins Bad – egal ob zum Duschen oder einfach nur auf die Toilette – war ein kleines Erlebnis für sich. Unser Zimmer lag zudem sehr privat, sodass man absolute Ruhe und Privatsphäre genießen konnte. Wir würden jederzeit wieder die Villa 2 „Shantaa Extra Sweet“ buchen. Das Frühstück war à la carte und ließ wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Tagsüber und abends waren wir meist unterwegs essen, aber am ersten und letzten Abend haben wir auch im Hotelrestaurant gegessen – und es war vorzüglich. Dazu kam ein wirklich herausragender Service. Das Personal versteht dort echte Gastfreundschaft und weiß genau, wie guter Service funktioniert. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Auch der Pool war wunderschön groß und angenehm ruhig, da er selten überfüllt war. Insgesamt ein Ort, an den wir jederzeit zurückkehren würden.

Der Pier direkt am Strand war optisch störend und kann aus unserer Sicht entfernt werden.

Amazing service provided. The reception confirms and arranges transport going to the pier when you leave which we never expected. Everyone is super friendly. The resort has beautiful views and decor. Everything is immaculately clean. The room, outdoor area and tables are cleaned every single day.

Vielleicht lag es an der Jahreszeit aber der Strand direkt beim Hotel war nicht sehr gut zum schwimmen geeignet.

Etwas wenige Ablagen. Das Konzept mit dem Bett auf einem Podest ist etwas unkomfortabel. Steht man auf dem Podest, ist das Bett zu niedrig.

Der perfekte Ort für Menschen mit Burnout. Die erhöhte Lage ist schön. Es ist in der Umgebung das beste Resort.

Der Strand eignet sich nicht zum Baden - rutschige Felsen. Man ist fast "gezwungen" im Hotel zu essen - die Preise sind für Thai-Verhältnisse 5 Mal so teuer wie gleichwertiger Streetfood anderswo. Da die Insel kaum bevölkert ist, gibt es auch keine Alternativen in Geheistanz zum Hotel. Ein Roller kostet 330 Baht pro Tag, ein Fahrer 520 Baht pro hin- und Rückweg. Wir empfehlen diese Insel wirklich nur wenn man komplettes Detox vom Alltag und Medien will.

We booked the Shantaa Sweets for 3 nights and they were lovely. Very comfy beds and the outdoor bathroom was beautiful and we weren't bothered by mosquitoes or other insects. The resort is huge, with lovely gardens. The food was amazing and would recommend you eat at the restaurant even if not staying at the resort. It was packed most nights for dinner so booking is a good idea. Breakfast was just divine. Yes it's on the expensive side to stay here, but for our 1st time on Koh Kood, we wanted to ensure we had accommodation that was well recommended by other travelers. We knew in advance about the beach being rocky but we snorkel so was lovely to do that right from the beach and see lots of colourful fish. It's only a short 5 minute walk under the pier to a beach without rocks. The resort organised a driver for a day trip around the island, who was very accommodating and drove very well. We felt very safe even when we were asking him to drive on dirt roads so we could see more remote beaches. The resort also arranged our ferry tickets and transport back to Trat airport. The resort is immaculate, the food amazing and we felt it was worth the money to stay there. We are coming back next year as we loved Koh Kood and staying for longer this time so we can visit Koh Muk.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Yes there are other resorts in a better location if you want to walk to some shops or restaurants. There is a small supermarket not far from the resort and another resort next door which had live music, but you couldn't hear it from our resort. But there are no shops or other restaurants within walking distance. We didn't care, as we loved the tranquility of Shantaa and it takes a bit of travelling from Bangkok to get there, so we were happy to chill, relax and enjoy this amazing place.

A place like a fairytale! A beautiful resort, beautifully maintained gardens, extensive resort grounds, and a beautiful beach. The cottages are nestled among greenery so you don't even notice the neighbors. The breakfasts and dishes in the restaurant are amazing. And finally, the most important thing: the service is fantastic, helpful, smiling, and perfect! We also recommend the Thai massage, which left us feeling reborn! Absolument tout! Placé à 5 minutes à pieds d’une des plus belles plages de l’île, les villas sont très confortables, le petit déjeuner délicieux, les endroits pour rester au soleil et lire sont parfaits, les massages aussi. Le personnel est très aimable et serviable.

Weitläufige, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit viel Stil und persönlicher Privatsphäre. Gutes Restaurant. Schönes Cafe, wunderschöner Bungalow mit grossem, tropischen Bad.

Nichts. Das Hotel besitzt allerdings nur einen kleinen Strandabschnitt. Daher stehen die Liegen zum größten Teil im Garten mit Meerblick. Für manche vielleicht ein Minus.

Il manque juste une belle plage de sable blanc mais à quelques mètres on en trouve une très agréable. Le seul élément qui gâche le panorama est le ponton qui donne sur la mer avec des bateaux de commerce amarrés parfois. L'heure un peu tardive d'ouverture pour leateriel de snorkeling à 10h30 quand la marée est haute matin

Da merkt man schon bei der Ankunft das hochwertige Resort. Toller Empfang. Super ausgestattete Bungalows. Wir hatten den Sweet in toller Lage. Sehr gutes Frühstück à la Carte. Auch das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Sehr gute und ausgefallene Cocktails. Schöner Pool aus weissem Marmor. Obwohl das Resort ausgebucht war, war das nicht zu merken und es gab immer und überall ausreichend Platz und Liegen. Ganztägig kostenloses Wasser am Beach/Pool. Kostenloses Schnorchelequipment, Kajak, SUP. Bei Flut kann man zwischen den Felsen gut schnorcheln. Leider gibt es keinen Sandstrand direkt am Resort - aber links runter ist ein grosser öffentlicher Sandstrand, wo auch weitere Resorts mit Restaurants am Strand sind. Überhaupt gibt es auf Koh Kood viele tolle einsame Sandstrände!

Die wunderschöne Optik des Resorts wird nur durch einen alten Betonpier am südlichen Teil gestört. Zu unserer Zeit lag fast jeden Tag ein altes Schiff, was den be-/entladen wurde.

Die Atmosphäre der Unterkunft war herrlich natürlich. Freundlichkeit von Anfang bis Ende. Was soll ich sagen es war super und die Beschreibung der Unterkunft entsprac zu 100% dem Versprochenen. Auf der Terrasse den Vögeln und Schmetterlingen zu folgen war - zudem unbeschreiblich schön.

Dass die Roller manchmal nicht recht starten wollten ... aber wir waren absolute Anfänger und deshalb lag es evtl auch an uns

Incredibly high standard, the staff is unique, we have never been to such a perfect accommodation. We would not have thought that such a thing even existed. I can only recommend it. The bathroom was like a jungle, we were shocked by the sophistication. The view is stunning. We have been to other accommodation on Koh Kood, but it does not come close to Shantaa Resort.

The staff were warm, attentive, and made everything feel effortless throughout our stay. The restaurant served excellent food, and the atmosphere across the resort was quiet, serene, and ideal for unwinding. Einfach alles. Wir waren schon in vielen sehr guten Hotels auf vielen Inseln in Thailand aber das war wirklich ein einzigartiger Aufenthalt. Alles , aber auch wirklich alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet.wir wären gerne länger geblieben als 5 Nächte.

Einzig der angespülte Müll am Hotelstrand empfanden wir als negativ , da kann das Hotel nichts für, es könnte aber doch häufiger gereinigt werden.

Everything is amazing! This is truly a must place to stay if they have a room available. Food is amazing! We ate every evening at the resorts restaurant. Good pool, unlimited amount of drinking water and they know I room number from the beginning when I made the first order at the bar.

Třetí pobyt zde a je to nejlepší ubytování co známe. Krásná zahrada, výborné jídlo a relax. Pro všechny tyhle věci se sem vracíme a doufám, že ještě vrátíme. Také přátelský personál.

We are not into the green outdoor washroom especially at night; however, we can understand that others might enjoy it.
