Datag Cordova Home Village

It was full of statutes which were bizarre, flees and ants in the room. Checked our next day

Awful place, fleas, bad room, ants and no hot water. Area looks like bomd hit it. We changed hotels, what a zoo. Asked for twin beds and got i full. Hate this place and i am not that picky. Hotel is currently doing some upgrades

Grest place to stay ,great staff ,pool in excellent

Great place to stay with or without kids great food ,wonderful pool

The pool is great ,food is delicious and staff are very friendly and professional

Its mainly for local people not tourists or westerners .had no luxuries not hot water. No room service no cleaning. Positives letting local families in for the day to eat and swim for a fee. I only stayed there because it was close to my friends.

The property was clean ,staff were friendly and pleasant ,,a great place to stay i will return

Overall the Property is beautiful, friendly staff, very relaxing and peaceful environment. But beware of a potential scam. Upon checkin you are require to pay a 1000 php security deposit. When we arrived in our room, there was already damage from previous tenants. Upon checkout, when someone surveyed the room, they tried to blame us for a broke glass wall. Another staff member took our side saying that that was already there. But they believed us at that point, but still informed us that they would keep the security deposit, and call in a couple days to return it after they contacted the owner who was at the time on a trip back to Norway. Also if you will be arriving after hours, you must inform the propers ahead of time. My wife informed the property in person and I also informed them by message. They insured my wife that the key would be left with the guard. Well upon our arrival from the airport, the guard had no key, no idea of what we were talking about, we got in only because we had a copy of our receipt where we paid $500 USD to say 15 nights.

First thing was the room. Not sure if it was Expedia made mistake or home village. I thought I had asked for a standard room and got a studio rm. Everything I asked for I had to pay for. Anything I put in refrigerator that was not purchased from them I had to pay surcharge to put it in there. I did get free breakfast but, only 2 different menu items to choose from and only 1 cup coffee. After that had to pay. 2 bottles of water first day there free after that had to pay for water. Family came in to swim and had to pay large entrance fee even though I was a guest. Had a birthday party there for family and had to pay entrance fee for 18 adults and 11 kids. Also had to pay for shelter. Had food brought in by family and they had to pay for that also since it was not there's. My overall experience with this place was horrifying. I have never stayed anywhere like this. To say the least I will NEVER stay at Cordova home village again

A bad experienced because we saw a guy looking at the window of our cr beside the room we booked in hotels.com that make us scared especially my daughter. We requested to transfer another room or else we will go home. So dark outside it seems cost cutting...

They're great as always. My family loves and visits them often, but expedia and cordova home village needs to communicate about their property rules.

Had a very enjoyable one night stay here. The owners were kind and hospitable and

It was clean and comfortable

Poorly attitude of staff mostly stand around place is a dump mostly for poor Filipinos

We always enjoy using Cordova Village (especially the kid-friendly swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere, and great food)for either extended family gatherings with the large room accommodations or just a night or two with our own family as a bonus getaway from the fast paced life. Thanks for providing this opportunity.

The weiter in the resturent the way when he talk

They have nice Swimming Pool, love the food worth the price. They have nice waiters and alert especially on night shift restaurant waiter...

The external facilities are good the rooms are basic , our sheets had holes.and rooms are old. No beach area.

It was a great place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were very clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant are great and friendly. Pool is clean. Statues are everywhere and look good. Enjoyed my stay and it was very affordable.

Wish there was hot water but loved the place

It was my first time in chv resort, and i really like there, staffs were friendly and very accommodating!

The place was nice and the reception staff were very helpful. Check in was smooth. The life guards kept the pool clean and made sure the slide was ready for my son. My kids enjoyed the pool. The food was good. The prices were reasonable. The staff overall was very friendly. The only downside is they don't have phones. So if you have any problems you have to walk to the office and tell them about the problem. They are fast to fix the problems. Upon check in we had no hot water and they fixed it. I wish there was a playground for the kids or a place where the kids could do crafts and draw. That would be good for families to keep the kids busy. Our room was big and the bed was comfy. Overall I am satisfied with our stay.

Staff are not nice.

We stayed for 8 days. No one came to clean room. Had to actually buy toilet paper at 7/11 Buffets if you are not there when they open the good food is gone but you pay full price. Restaurant. Everything we ordered they didn’t have. Ordered beef tapislog for breakfast. The beef was like beef jerky. Getting transport is a good 10 min walk. Overall. I would never pay to stay there again

its a nice place if you have family and want a cheap place to stay, if you are looking for luxury or comfort, you will be disappointed. pool was somewhat dirty but this was at 8 pm and there is a lot of traffic in the pool, we only stayed one nite, place needs improvements, I felt like I was back in the 1960s again, also watch out for lizards and ants , all over the place

staff rocked very good @ super nice even tho I had to much johny walker black well be back

Stuff are too slow

Terrible. If you're a Filipino family looking for a day or night at a hotel pool it's fine. If you want to relax and enjoy your time FORGET it. There were about 100 people there at lrast half were kids. It was like being at a local community public pool. Not clean, way too many people. The party, music, buffet went on and on till about 11pm. We ate at the restaurant. The food was over priced and not very good. The AC in the room was poor and sounded like something off a Mac truck. The room was clean but not worth even the 28 dollars. The TV wasn't working and the attendant gave me attitude because I was making him do his job and fix the problem. It took him 2 hours and 4 trips to the room. I booked for 4 days and left the morning of the 2nd day. It's in a terribly poor place and took an hour to get a taxi out to Cebu.

On arrival I found the reception staff not very friendly and at times rude. Our room was clean and comfortable however the light over the shower didn't work and the shower was only a trickle of water. There was also a dead gecko (little lizard) on one of the beds.

Hotel has unique character. Very colourful. A bit remote. Recommended.

amazing for family bonding i enjoyed the ballroom dance because of the D.I and the live band is so entertaining. I absolutely go back there especially this summer.

it's a very nice place, but sometimes 3 differend music's played at once at the pool (restaurant, bar, videoke) when you chill around the bar area or terrace you hear all 3 together. It's a very nice setup but they should have one music source around the pool (and the videoke in closed cabins) coz that's kinda disturbing

you shouldn't advertise wifi if your wifi is very slow and on the third floor none existant.you pay for a room on line with a credit card get out to the place and they don't except credit cards along with, you need a 1000 Pesos cash for a deposit.and all food has to be paid for in cash.

All here Hotel good,, Wery good room, swimming pool, all area good ,, the staff very friendly. The restaurant's food is a perfect good value for quality ratio, a good selection of delicacies .. Thank you all. Wonderfully awesome standing table delicacies. good music all the time live we will go again and a person in the municipality served well for everyone

Superb!

Unfriendly customer service, Upon arrival it was like we were touring an abandoned hotel that no one has occupied for many months. It was deserted and felt like a ghost town . Firstly rooms were a descent size but that's were the good stops the sheets were thread bear and the robes were grey not white . The room did not feel homely or comfortable and I was afraid to look under the sheet for what I might find .Towels were old and need changing . Wi fi was impossible to get no signals for the 3 days The pool was clean and large but again no atmosphere it could be so much better. Cordova is such a long way from anywhere and the bathroom stank of sewage, even after bleaching. TV did not work in the first room we had and very old. Dinner and breakfast was ok but all in all I would not recommend this place to anyone it needs some major improvements in all areas . Electrical socket hanging out of wall, very unsafe to everyone! Have informed the staff and nothing was done. Show less

This was the worst hotel we've stayed in ever. we booked for 6 nights and didn't stay any. The smell is putrid the service is terrible the rooms were mouldy and dirty. Nothing was good here. The family room is up 3 flights of stairs that are slippery the gym has an excellent view and I would have used it if I didn't have excriment on the floor which I hope was dog but given I had to walk 4 flights of stairs and open 2 heavy doors I assume it was human. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else

caught food poisoning ruined my holiday the place is in a compound nothing about or to do

Cordova Home Village Resort offers basic accommodation for visitors of Cebu. In my opinion it is the best value for money resort on Mactan Island. The location is ideal for those who don't need (or want) to travel into Cebu City which in this day and age is a nightmare with the traffic problems there now. The owners of the resort are the Hansen family. Erik is a kind and courteous Norwegian with a lovely Filipino wife (Liza). They are fantastic hosts and will make you feel very welcome.

Have stayed here before but now needs to be updated

Building work going on opposite and bands at the weekends not very restful place

I stay here often. I think the staff is extremely professional, friendly, attentive. Pool is great bar is ft from room family atmosphere. Restaurant has good food. Great deal....

Room was big and aircondition was good.

Same problems as two years ago. kitchen room ...oven gas ignition didnt work. nothing provided for ignition (same room same problem 2yrs ago). Aircon too small and old for area to be chilled (same room same problem 2yrs ago) transferred to another Kitchen room...Same aircon problem when it rained there was a hole in the kitchen ceiling (10inch) which leaked onto a mat they provided. You expect more to be provided when you hire a kitchen room - a kettle and more utensils. One does not also expect to have to pay a deposit for a kettle or each of the three rooms. We hired three rooms the two with no kitchen we had no problem with.

Very far from everything an not easy when it's raining very muddy

OUR STAY WAS GREAT,JUST HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE INTERNETT IN OUR ROOM

Rooms decent , food good but expensive, service staff very good

Stay for 3 days with my fiance rooms were very roomy bathroom was roomy all rooms have a balcony which is nice

Nice hotel nice pool good value.

I had three weeks at the cordover Home village, I was very surprised to see how big the place was, I enjoyed my stay felt very safe, I would definitely go back again and recommend it. Also a very nice swimming pool and The place was great for families .
