Our room which was comfortable and full of character - and the bath and air con were much appreciated. The food was delicious - both dinner - chicken royale and the eggs florentine at breakfast. The garden and greenery at the back was a bonus and I was thrilled to hear an owl whilst I was in The Swan car park. The architecture of the village is superb.

Really, really great stay. Only booked one night. Last minute thing. All staff there were great and very welcoming. Food was excellent, and service great. Room was very nice. Lovely bathroom. Good facilities. Great inclusive breakfast. What a treat!

It was all good, no complaints really but as the weather was warm, an alternative duvet would've been good. The one provided was lovely but too many togs for the time of year

Breakfast was good for any hotel these days. Having run hotels for 25 years I do not understand why breakfast is such a problem. Evening meal was interesting. Very basic food for a setting that promised more.

The chaos at breakfast. No milk, no juice, tables not cleared, water for tea was tepid at best. The room needs a total upgrade from carpets to bedding and decor. Huge invetment needed.

We enjoyed a nights stay at the wonderful hotel. Fabulous value for money. We were warmly welcomed and showed to a comfortable room. Although we faced the road and there was some road noise during the day, it was not intrusive and quiet at night. The bed was comfortable, the room dark and had air conditioning. The bathroom was spotless with an excellent shower. The pub was quirky and very pleasant. We did not eat an evening meal but the food looked good. Breakfast was excellent with a generous buffet and cooked option. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The restaurant and back garden are very pretty and beautifully decorated. Cudos for the very friendly bar staff. We really enjoyed dinner and the service. Breakfast was good, with a cooked option. Overall a very good value for money.

Our room was a bit noisy as it was right on the street, and it could have been cleaner. The walls were a little dirty and marked. Despite having a coffee machine, there was only one coffee capsule. From the room photos and not knowing the area, I was under the impression there would be a body of water around to visit...

Only complaints which are very minor are the mattress was too hard for our preference, the sofa wasn't particularly comfortable but ok and although majority of the room was sparkly clean there were a few areas that have been missed for a while. Thick dust on top of tv, cobwebs in some corners. The bathroom was immaculate though. Wouldn't stop us staying again.

Fabulous staff, so friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect - lovely room, good size, clean and very comfortable. Dinner was excellent, really good quality. Lovely breakfast too - freshly made to order.

Een prachtig hotel in een leuk dorp, ontzettend vriendelijke en enthousiaste medewerkers, zowel bij het inchecken als het ontbijt. We waren verrast door de ruime kamer met twee verdiepingen én een eigen terras. De kamer is erg leuk aangekleed en heeft airconditioning, zowel beneden als boven. Het ontbijt vonden we ook erg uitgebreid en lekker.

What a gem of a find. Great overnight stop. Met by welcoming staff, we were too late for food but it smelt great. Shown to our room. An extremely generous twin, great air con, large bathroom. Very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order.

Only slight niggle, was the walls felt paper thin, next door had the TV on until well after midnight. Also needed another member of staff at breakfast, lots of things run out, the one member of staff came across very flustered having to do everything

The room was very spacious and clean. Also nice sofas in the room. The staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately the bed in the room was two singles put together to create a double bed which made sleeping in the middle of the bed uncomfortable. Would suggest a topper over the bed before putting on the sheets.

Two air conditioners in the room. Essential during heat waves. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nicely decorated rooms. The breakfast was high quality. It was a very comfortable stay.

The waiter was very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was good. The bedroom was nice and clean. Got assistance to take the suitcases to the bedroom.

It is an old building but the fire doors in the hallways banged very loud with people coming and going which was a problem with a toddler trying to get to sleep.

Perfect location for a wedding. Lovely, clean and air-conditioned rooms. Family room slept 2 teenagers and 2 young adults very comfortably.

A little off the beaten track

Great place to stay in a lovely village setting. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities you'd expect, including free parking and reliable Wi-Fi. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast, which was a real highlight of the stay.

It was very charming and was tastefully decorated, the staff were friendly and food was great but on the costly side.

The shower in the room was broken so whilst the room looked nice we weren’t able to use the shower, I contacted the owner to ask to fix it which they did but even after it was fixed, the water pressure kept pushing the shower stream to the side which was annoying. For one night it wasn’t worth the time to sort again so none of us had a shower.

Very quaint and charming pub and restaurant in picturesque village of chiddingfold. Breakfast was great with cooked and continental options. Air con in the room was fantastic for the summer and it was well priced compared to other Surrey hotels. Nice nespresso coffee machine in the room too was a nice touch.

As it is an old historic property it may be that the room is small/boxy or with a lower ceiling.

This two-night stay was an unexpected pleasure. The room was very spacious, light and quiet. I especially enjoyed having good air-conditioning during the heatwave. There was a comfortable sofa and and equally comfortable armchair. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. But also an excellent breakfast. The hotel is on a quite busy road but one can eat and drink on the quiet, shady terrace at the back. The staff are wonderful, highly professional and considerate. It may be a pub, but the facilities are those of a first class hotel.

Een prachtige oude Inn met een heerlijke terrastuin aan de achterkant waar wat gedronken en gegeten kan worden. Fijne grote kamer met airco. Tegenover de Inn is een fijne grote parkeerplaats v/hd Inn, ruimte zat.

Ja, met airco maar die druppelde continu en kon niet even gerepareerd worden. Maar hij werkte ok. Let op als je in Engeland ergens eet, ze rekenen op de factuur zomaar even 12.5% service kosten en das best veel!!! Je kunt het eraf laten halen en er zelf wat bijdoen als fooi, denk daaraan. Goed ontbijt en een goede diner kaart. Niet groot maar ok!

Characterful pub with rooms in a pleasant location. Easy parking across the road. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent evening meal. Good breakfast. Nice en suite shower (though towel rail couldn't be turned on and then came on later in the night for some reason).

Fire doors quite a noise outside my room when left to close by themselves. Noise from plumbing in rooms above. Woken at 5am - why do people get up so early!? However, I am a light sleeper!

Lovely hotel - we loved the room although the TV reception comes and goes a bit! We had a problem with the shower but the staff were onto it immediately and an alternative was offered - so sorted very quickly. All the staff are very friendly and very efficient and we loved the food - from the supersized chicken roast on Sunday evening to the lovely breakfast on Monday morning! We will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely everything… the staff were excellent, the room was perfect including air con ( needed at the moment) the ambiance was a real pub feel . The food was excellent too..

The only thing I would like to see changed was the lack of door closers on the fire doors. It made them quite noisy but ear plugs soon dealt with that !!

Really appreciated the Aircon due to the heat wave, the staff were really friendly and the steak was one of the best I had eaten. Breakfast was lovely and there was everything you needed.

Room was clean and tidy but a little tired and could do with a little repaint as quite marked.

Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The air conditioning was a bonus as it was 33 degrees outside. The food and staff were great. The shredded beef on crumpet as a starter was an absolute winner!! Breakfast was equally superb. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It had AIR CON in the rooms! That worked very well. Excellent stay, lovely staff, great dinner and nice rooms a very classic good run pub to stay at. You won't be disappointed and a great breakfast. Free parking it ticks all the boxes.

Staff: friendly & helpful. Parking: opposite, just across the (dangerous to cross) main road. Breakfast: ample English breakfast, freshly cooked.

Some matters of detail relating to the bathroom in Room 6:-- A hook is needed on the back of the door for, e.g. a dressing gown. A towel rail is needed, for 2 (huge) bath-towels, damp after the shower, will not dry overnight on the radiator. Shower: difficult in operation, impossible to use the large rose, handles need tightening.

Great character in the building but with modern and comfortable fixtures and fittings. Every comfort possible, clean and great staff. Breakfast was also excellent- best I’ve had in a while. Every one took great pride in what they were doing. Hope to stay again some day.

Very decorated with a mix of old world charm and rustic arts and crafts; some of the walls were framed stacked fireplace kindling, others were adorned with split saplings ala basket weave style. The staff members were helpful and very personable. The food was tasty.

Upper level bedroom became hot very quickly, but, and unlike many other venues of this period, the management had shown the foresight to include an air conditioner in the room, so no dramas.

Towel rail in bathroom on 24 hrs a day making the room very hot. You can't turn it down or off. So had the air conditioning on to cool room down through the night.

What a quaint old pub ! Little England at its best, its well kept & presented, the room was comfortable & well furnished and the bathroom was clean with a good shower. Food and drinks were very good.

Unfortunately, the room overlooked the front of the building, & the early morning traffic starts early! Without wishing to detract, secondary glazing might be considered.

The two-storey family room was lovely. The breakfast was very good. Food in the evening was very good - for lovers of steak it's not often you get a proper 2" thick steak cooked to perfection! And the staff were lovely.

We emailed re EV charging and never got a reply - but in the end didn't bring our EV so it didn't matter!

One of the BEST pub stays ever - fabulous room with everything you would need & wonderful decor. Best steak we have eaten in a long while (the Tuesday night steak special was incredible value) and all staff fantastic - efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The bars were so clean and well organised - this is a fantastic brilliantly run pub with restaurant & rooms.

What a great place to stay. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Fabio was great as was the lady,whose name I forgot,that was serving breakfast. The English breakfast was the best we have ever had while on our many travels.

Lovely old pub in a beautiful village. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had some very nice touches but what made our stay so special were the amazing staff! Shout out to Darcy and Sue who were just so friendly and accommodating.

The room we had, family quadruple was perfect for us as a family of 4. We mainly used it as a base to sleep as was busy during our trip. Staff 10/10 Comfort 9/10 Cleanliness 8/10 We had breakfast which was great, cooked well and we visited the inn one evening for a drink, good chilled atmosphere. The food menu looked good although we were out until 8pm most days so had already eaten.

Could do with maybe an extra 10/15 minutes cleaning per room, by no means terrible and we would stay again.
