Well the beds were comfortable

Not much at all. No restaurant or complimentary breakfast as advertised until I complained. Then they put some stuff out but there were so many things that didn't work like the pancake maker, front phone at reception, stained towels in the room, plug-ins in the room not working...had to figure out which ones did, plus the bathroom sink plug is broken, birds flying at us when we exited the room. I think they were barn swallow. Toaster in the room only worked if you started it twice. The toaster in the supportably complimentary breakfast room had to warm up for 20 to 30 minutes before you got anything that kinda looked like toast. There were weeds that were pulled out by someone and thrown on the sidewalk in front of all the bottom rooms. My guess is that someone was disgusted by the lack of maintenance on the outside. The sidewalk s were filthy and weeds in front of all the pillars. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone with the shape it is in and how it is run.

The rooms were clean and well appointed. The full kitchen was an added bonus. Staff was friendly and attentive.

One of the rooms we had booked I had expected two queen beds. However, it was my mistake not that of the hotel, but when I booked for three adults and we ended up with a room with one double bed and no couch it was very fortunate that we knew someone in town who was able to lend us an air mattress.

There is no breakfast.

Paid for a queen & got a double bed. No smoke alarm. For was very hard to close to use the deadbolt. Breakfast was basically cereal , cheap white bread & yogurt. The pancake maker didn't work.

Was renovated for the most part. Some scratches on the walls in the room and some minor wear and tear on the carpet, but nothing too much to actually complain about. Probably used to be a motel

The price was alot for a super 8. 150 a night? I've had cheaper at the super 8 in Calgary and Edmonton.

Lack of customer service. Couldn’t find where to eat breakfast. Very poor set up. My sister and I were not impressed.

Some guests don't seem to realize that others don't appreciate their loud conversations outside the front window early in the morning. American tourists, we suspect! We used to live at a CN rail divisional community, so the train wasn't as much of a disturbance in this case.

The rooms are well appointed (except for cutlery and dishes. However, the housekeeping is lacking. The common areas such as stairs are dusty and dark. The vending machines are a joke. Other than that, your average roadside hotel.

The property is easy to access and near where we want to go. The guy at the front desk was more than helpful. He really did a good job assisting us. On the other hand, it wasn't so clean, there was a smear of poop on the side of toilet seat when we arrived. The breakfast can be improved.

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly no toilet paper and tissues replenished breakfast was poor pancake machine not working and always waiting for things to be restocked bread ,cups,spoons ect when people need to get up and go

The woman who cleans here was super sweet and has many responsibilities. Our room was spacious and had a very nice new shower. Sadly the walk ways were dirty and unkept. The breakfast room was a sad story. No pride of ownership shown there. No napkins or wipes. Pancake machine not working. Cereals not topped up. Milk past due date and spoiled. No tea. The floor under the coffee machine is rotting from water damage. Counters sticky and dirty. That part was very dissapointing. There are lots of trains that go by here, but only noticed the noise one one morning out of 3.

An average motel, but clean. Clean linens & room was clean. But water on the floor from defrosted mini-fridge. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. Pancake maker did not work. Toaster did not do a good job of toasting the bread. So no hot breakfast options.

Poor communications, especially as to what was were, how to operate tv, how to connect to internet.

Nice spacious room. Clean,liked the kitchenette. Check in wasn't great as front desk guy wasn't welcoming. Advertised free breakfast was not offered, as front office was locked and no one available in the morning.

Only one wall of outlets worked the rest did not. Couldn’t even use the tv or lamp because of plug location. The fridge was also not usable because of location in room and it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the fridge. The room floors did not feel clean either.

Quiet, clean and comfy bed. All we needed for an overnight stay. Wifi code didn’t work properly, but not a big deal.

The hotel room was comfortable but is dated in the stairwells. Breakfast was very sparse.

This hotel is pretty good for the money. It was quiet and has a cute little kitchenette… I had read other reviews that said it kind of lacked dishes and silverware so I brought my own!! The little coffee pot was kind of broken, but I figured out how to use it The beds are so comfortable. We like that part that air conditioner works very well.

Decent price

The smoke detector was missing. It looked like the door had been kicked in before as the door trim had been cracked in half and screws back on. The plate that the chain slides into was still on the door but the chain itself was missing. There was still a deadbolt. It was just alarming to see, probably should have gotten a new piece of trim and removed the plate.

All in all was decent for last minute and on route. Clean comfortable beds. That said, we were surprised there was a breakfast room, then disappointed when kids couldn’t have cereal due to expired milk by 3 days and we couldn’t make coffee due to little creamers were solid inside them so also gone bad.

It was clean and quiet so I rested comfortably.

Room was good but breakfast item can be improved

We were there for a funeral. The property was very clean and I would stay again but we spent minimal time there which I am sure you understand.

We were travelling with 2 other couples and we were all very disappointed with many aspects of our stay in the Watrous Super 8. The gentleman who checked us in was civil but not necessarily friendly, but he did assure us he would be available 24/7 if we needed anything. When looking for tea bags (which are generally available in every hotel) he did not answer his phone and when we went down to the office the door was locked. This happened a couple of times during our 2 night stay…he was not available 24/7! The public spaces of the hotel were filthy…the staircase leading to the top floor hadn’t been vacuumed in months, the hand rail was no longer attached to the wall at the top (a safety issue) and the lighting was very poor especially at night. The room itself was acceptable and the bedding was clean. But one of our rooms had no area for hanging clothes. There was evidence of a shelf and closet rod having been there but it was apparently broken off and never fixed again….so we had to hang our clothes on the shower rod. The breakfast room was not exactly clean and the breakfast consisted of orange juice & coffee - no tea - and we had to open at least 10 creamers before we found one that was not congealed. There was toast and the usual spreads, cereal (the milk was past its best before date), and yogurt… very basic. We all felt we did not receive the value for what we paid and we would never choose to stay at this hotel again unless we absolutely had no other options.

All was grand.

More amenities would be good

Terrible service, Dirty, stains everywhere, exposed electrical. Exterior of building looked good but easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Never again.

Breakfast was very minimal. No one at the front desk when I went to check out. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but the room was worn in places (rug, scratches on walls etc) Overall it was a good place to stay with my two kids for a night and the price was reasonable.

Close to the manitou hotel spa

The room located on second level adjacent to the stairwell. The stairwell door slammed as people entered and exit. It was very loud and shook the wall when slammed. Our bed was against that adjacent stairwell wall and woke us up a few times late at night.

It was an ok place to stay.

Needed to clear snow

Office was always closed. Couldn't get my receipt at check out. Left a message but no reply.

Easily found right off highway 2…room was clean staff was courteous!

There was nothing to dislike

Train main line across street, not for light sleepers. Hot tub started up randomly at night, quite a start.

No breakfast like stated when booked

Slept great. Comfy beds. Large tub/shower. Pet friendly room so the carpet around door was scratched up and not repaired. Also door lock latch was partially ripped out.

Room clean and recently remodeled. Beds good. Place clean. Breakfast OK toast, cereal, yugert, milk and juice. Plug in for cars. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine in room. Quiet room and area

This property was not bad and would be a lot better if they had a decent manager. The manager/desk clerk was rude, could barely speak English and was of no help at all. When I went to check in all he good do was grunt and point to a sign saying the check in time. I was about and hour and a half early on a Friday morning in a small town. There were lots of rooms that had already been cleaned and ready to go. He finally conceded and checked us in. We were there for two days and had a reservation made about 6 weeks prior. I could not make him understand that I wanted to use my Wyndham rewards card, he just didn't care. He had parked his huge truck right in front of the office which in turn blocked off the handicap parking area, which I needed because of my walker and the truck also blocked of the Veterans parking spot. When we checked out on Sunday morning, about 8:30 their so called breakfast was non existant. They had a couple of containers of dried cereal and that was it. They didn't even have coffee available. The machine was empty. This place is a dump, I will never stay there again.

Beds were very comfortable. The room was clean but we noticed gaps around the door.

The breakfast was poor. When we went at 830am there was very little left, no muffins, no milk, coffee was week. There was no one attending the office, you had to phone a number posted on lobby door.

We had a very large bar fridge which we needed, so we appreciated that. The room was nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

It was the only place left to stay close to manitou resort It isn’t bad just there’s no staff we had to call for them to drive from some random place and it says check in starts at 2 pm and this was after 3 it was pretty inconvenient

I have stayed at this hotel before. The first time was in 2019 and it was a great experience, so we were excited to stay again. This experience wasn’t the same as last time. Our room did not have a kitchen this time and the included breakfast was subpar. My kids were looking forward to having the pancakes, but the machine did not have any mix in it. Only found that out by actually starting the machine. There was no note saying it was out of order. Other than that, the stay was fine for the time that we spent at the hotel.

quite a difference with the wingate/wyndham in lethbridge this one is 1. very noisy with the train track just across the road. 2. no safe, radio not working & the volume of the replacement doesn't work properly either! 3. hard to find front desk staff before 10am? **breakfast is not too bad!

They ran out of basic breakfast items, coffee was very bad. Our toilet was broken and didn't flush very well.

The tv had aprox two channels also the breakfast offered was moldy bread broken pancake machine and a non existent front desk person.

Hotel is infested with roaches! Only solution that was offered was to move to a different room. Really hope the properly take care of the problem. Staff didn't seem too concerned. The supervisor lives at the hotel but takes a long time to respond and you have to call a phone number to get a hold if them. Had to put all my clothes in garbage bags to take home and hit wash the Immediately. Would kit recommend.mend this hotel and definitely will not be staying there again.

It was an average stay- beds small room was also small

With the economy as it is we like to stay here because we book a room with a kitchenette. I suggest you bring your own dishes and utensils. We washed after each use. We brought easy food from home. If you forget anything there's a COOP store. You can access your Netflix account with their smart TV. The room is always clean. They use a room freshner, which for me, is a bit over powering. You have to untuck the blanket at the bottom of the bed if you like it up high on your body.

The room had an odor (stunk). A few crawling insects. Train tracks right across the road and cross country trains passing all night long. Over priced for the location. Uncomfortable bed. Very poor sleep. Breakfast really sucked. It might as well be a free breakfast because it wasn't worth anything, garbage. Cheapness and quality SO common with most motels in Canada now being owned by south Asians. I'm SO disgusted with the way things are I will definitely support privately owned Bed and Breakfast accommodations if at all possible from now on. Deserve gets what deserve gives.

I choose to stay here when I pass through on my business trips, the staff are extra friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the pillows are perfect. Best part is they have a kitchenette to keep travel costs down, and a continental breakfast available from 6-10. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area.

It was nice to have kitchenette in the room. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Tmwe were under the impression there would be a hit breakfast. There were pancakes, coffee and toast but the rest was cold.

Room was not cleaned upon arrival. Bed had been slept in, not made and the last patrons head indent still in the pillow, towels were dirty, garbage wasn't emptied, old coffee in the pot and none left for me. Advertised as a kitchenette, it came with an oven but no oven safe cookwear, only had one fork, and no dishsoap to wash your dirty dishes so I'd assumed everything there had been "rinsed clean".

Front desk guys are very welcoming and help for any requests. Recommend for this place to stay.
